Here is the best image we?ve got so far of the True Blood cover for the next issue of Rolling Stone. Um? Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgard are all naked and covered in blood? and dirt, maybe? Or is it all blood? Couple things: Moyer?s got a cute little bubble butt, doesn?t he? And Sookie?s got no ass to speak of and she?s sucking it in, big time. Oh, and Alex. Um? yeah, why didn?t they just put him on the cover again? I think it would have been a bestseller for the magazine. Did they not think of that?
Since the cover is all we?ve got, how about some more quotes from Alex?s interview with The Telegraph? There?s some good stuff in here. The full piece is here, and here are some highlights:
On the appeal of True Blood: ‘You can sit back and enjoy it, but it’s also really intelligent. It says a lot about society today and about how we relate to each other.’
On his father, actor Stellan, and his family: At 33, he is the oldest of Stellan’s six children from his first marriage: three of his brothers ? Gustav, 29, Bill, 20, and Valter, 14, have established acting careers. Sam, 28, has also dabbled in the family business. His sister, Eija, 18, is a model; his mother, My, a doctor. He grew up in Stockholm, on the island of Sdermalm. Family life, he says, was ‘pretty chaotic’, the atmosphere ‘very liberal’. His father strolled around naked a lot. Aunts, uncles and grandparents all lived close by. ‘The doors were always open. On any given night, there would be 10 to 15 people around the dinner table. It was very loud, very crazy, there was a lot of food, a lot of alcohol, but it was also very loving. I was very much part of the chaos but I also had my room, and in there, when I was four or five, I would organise my cars and my action figures. I needed some kind of structure, I think, because it was so chaotic in the rest of the apartment.’
On growing up around theatre folk: His father was performing in repertory theatre at the time, and would often be rehearsing one play during the day and performing in another in the evening. ‘He worked a lot,’ Skarsgrd says, ’so I would hang out backstage at the theatre and just play there because it was pretty much the only chance I got to spend time with my dad. A lot of the plays were Ingmar Bergman-directed, but I didn’t care about him. It was more fun to play around in the costume department.’
On his dreams of a career in architecture: He briefly considered becoming an architect ? ‘I spent a lot of time drawing buildings, even entire towns’ ? but changed his mind. He spent his teenage years ‘not hanging out with his family’, listening to punk with his friends, getting drunk at the weekends and following his local football team, Hammarby, home and away.
His military career: ‘I come from a family of pacifists, so it’s not like I was going to join the war. Sweden is not like the States or England where you might get sent to Afghanistan next month. For me it was just a personal challenge. I’m very happy that I did it. It was tough. I hated it at times; the unit I was in dealt with anti-sabotage, anti-terrorism in the archipelago, so some of the people who applied were total warheads. There were a lot of really cool guys, but the mentality sometimes got a little too testosterone-fuelled for my tastes.’
On leaving New York to go back to Sweden for love: ‘I had met this girl in Sweden three weeks before I went to New York. We had this long-distance relationship. We would speak on the phone once or twice a week. She broke up with me because it wasn’t working out, and I was heart-broken. I thought, I can’t do this, I miss her so much, I’ve got to go home. So I did. I got back and we hung out for a little while, but we were just too young and too different. She was 18 and I was 21. She’s a lovely woman but I didn’t even know her. I spent six months creating her in my mind.’
On playing cold characters: ‘I can definitely relate to them,’ he says. ‘But I’m different in real life. They’re subdued and calm, I’m more playful. I’m pretty intense when it comes to relationships, platonic ones as well. If I feel a connection with someone, I’m willing to go there.’
On being beautiful: ‘I see myself as most people see themselves, you have good days and bad days. I don’t think I’m better looking now than I did three years ago. I’m always looking for something that’s real and that’s got meat on it. I think it’s artistic suicide if you’re too vain, or if you’re afraid to play ugly. I would never fall for that.’

She?s always up to something, and last night (August 10) Anna Paquin was one of George Lopez?s guests on ?Lopez Tonight.?
The ?X-Men? starlet looked lovely in a purple dress as she strolled out onto the stage to chat with Lopez about her hit show ?True Blood.?
George asked Anna about the fact that everyone seems to lose their clothes on the show. Paquin explained, ?We all get naked a lot on the show, so it?s sort of ceased to be something that is shocking.?
Lopez added, ?So, it?s not a big thing?? and Anna joked, ?Well it can be!? George quipped, ?Not on this stage- it?s cold in here!?

It?s no doubt one of the hottest shows on HBO, and Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were spotted at the ?True Blood? booth at Comic-Con 2010 on Friday (July 23).
The on and off-screen lovers looked loved up and excited to be a part of the annual movie showcase's second day, which is taking place at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
Aside from the autograph session and jam-packed panel discussion, a sneak peek of what's in store for the rest of ?True Blood?s? season 3 was revealed.
On a side note, today (July 24) Ms Paquin is celebrating her 28th birthday! Happy Birthday Anna!

Looking to upgrade her appearance, Anna Paquin was spotted hitting up a Los Angeles salon yesterday afternoon (July 11).
The ?X-Men? starlet dressed in a casual-yet-sexy black jacket, black shirt, denim shorts, and black boots as she made her way to the car.
Anna?s costar Joe Manganiello has revealed some teasers about the new season of ?True Blood,? including details about a budding relationship between his character Alcide and Anna?s Sookie.
"Alcide's in a dark, lonely, sad, heartbroken place because his fiance, Debbie Pelt, has left him. His psycho ex-girlfriend - she's still floating around, causing trouble. Then you've got Sookie going through her trials and tribulations with Bill. I think if you stick people in that situation - this big, strong, protective bodyguard with a girl, both heartbroken, sparks will happen. There's a bit of lost puppy going on there."
"I think as you watch this season unfold, Alcide grows and changes and I think his relationship with Sookie helps that. There was a fork in the road - Debbie goes down one side and Alcide goes down the other. I think Sookie represents the woman Alcide wants to be with, that he wishes he could be with, whereas Debbie represents where he came from."

Stepping out on a beautiful Friday afternoon, Anna Paquin was spotted in Santa Monica, California yesterday (July 9).
The ?True Blood? babe looked a bit edgy in long pants, a vintage tee and black jacket as she did some shopping and made a stop at a Beverly Hills salon.
In other news, Ms Paquin along with ?True Blood? castmates will return to the annual Comic-Con International Convention this year for the third year in a row.
Anna and fiance Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Nelsan Ellis, Joe Manganiello, among others are set to make an appearance on Friday (July 23) and will attend the premiere of the ?True Blood? comic book.

Spending a little quality time together, Anna Paquin and her mother Mary Paquin were side-by-side in West Hollywood on Wednesday (July 7).
The "True Blood" babe and her mom looked happy to be together as they dropped by Hugo's Restaurant for a tasty midday meal.
Currently in the midst of the third season of her hit HBO show, Anna recently spoke with Self magazine about working alongside fiance Stephen Moyer.
Saying that it's interesting that she fell for someone with whom she works, Miss Paquin tells, ?You can't choose who you fall in love with, as inconvenient as that may be."
Happy with the way things are, she adds, ?It's a luxury to get to go to work with the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, because I love my job and I'm really happy."

Continuing to rank among the network's most popular shows, HBO has locked in a fourth season of the vampire series "True Blood".
With the third season having just gotten underway on June 13th, fans can now look forward to more from Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard and friends come summer 2011.
Alan Ball, creator of the show, told in a statement: "I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew. This is the most fun I have ever had."
Meanwhile, President of HBO programming Michael Lombardo added: "The new season of TRUE BLOOD is off to a terrific start, as enthusiasm for this unique show continues to build among both subscribers and critics. We're looking forward to more chills from Alan Ball and his gifted team next year."

Kicking off their weekend a little early, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were spotted out to dinner in Santa Monica, California last night (May 27).
The ?True Blood? costars/real-life fiances looked happy together as they held hands and strolled past the paparazzi on their way to a local eatery.
As for the third season of their hit HBO drama, Anna and Stephen will be joined by a whole new animal- Werewolves!
Paquin told press, "It's just another element added to the supernatural craziness of it all. There's no way you can ever get bored on a show like this. When you think you've seen it all and done it all, something weirder and wilder comes out of the woodwork."

Taking care of some assorted errands, Anna Paquin was spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (May 23)
Joined by her fianc Stephen Moyer?s daughter Lilac, the ?X-Men? actress headed over to Albertsons to pick up some balloons.
But when the two ladies got back to their car, the heavy winds made it difficult to get their helium-filled finds into the backseat.

Kicking off another work week, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were spotted arriving on the set of ?True Blood? yesterday (May 3).
The real-life engaged couple looked focused as they strolled past the paparazzi, preparing for an intense day of shooting scenes.
And it sounds like Anna?s brother Andrew is thrilled that his sister is marrying Mr. Moyer- he told press, "I absolutely approve! Steve will be an amazing husband to Anna and a great brother-in-law."
"They have amazing chemistry together on and off the screen. There's something special going on, and they understand and respect each other."
