Debuting her limited edition collection for Macy's, Nicole Richie was on hand to present her 1970's inspired line in New York City on Wednesday evening (September 12).
The former "Fashion Star" mentor looked gorgeous as always in one of her own designs, while decked out in a teal color long-sleeve velvet mini, which she paired with maroon heels.
During the event, the 30-year-old tweeted, "INCREDIBLE day! So excited to officially be a part of the Macy's family #MacysImpulse."
In a previous interview with 4-traders, Richie talked about joining the American retail giant, saying, "Macy's is an iconic American retailer and I have been thrilled by the opportunity to partner with them on this limited collection," adding, "each item is a nod to the modern American woman whose fashion is always evolving. By mixing prints and fabrics and playing with proportions, my capsule allows the Macy's 'Impulse' customer to experiment with her personal style in an effortless and affordable way."
The capsule collection will be featured online and in more than 100 different Macy's locations starting today. It will give fashionable women everywhere the opportunity to indulge in Nicole's bohemian aesthetic as the price ranges from $39-$129.

Clearly enjoying herself, Nicole Richie spent time with friends at Las Ventanas al Paraiso Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Sunday (September 2). The socialite was in town for the wedding of celebrity publicist Meredith O'Sullivan.
Wearing a yellow and brown bikini and a Panama hat, the fashion designer laughed with pals on her hotel balcony before piling into a golf cart to cruise around the resort.
The 30-year-old recently talked about her daring fashion philosophy to InStyle magazine. " 'My wardrobe has gone through so many different stages. When I was a kid, there was an odd-socks phase; my mother was too embarrassed to go out with me. When I'm 40, I'll go, 'What was I thinking when I was 30?'"
However, that bravery doesn't extend to red carpet events. "I'm a coward about red-carpet dressing. If I'm nervous about something, I don't wear it. I wore a beautiful Julien Macdonald gown to the Golden Globes. The beading was so heavy, but I loved it.''

Jet-setting beauty Nicole Richie was seen arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles, CA on Friday afternoon (August 31).
The "Fashion Star" mentor looked chic in a patterned maxi dress, sandals and a fedora as she quickly paced through the terminal to catch the departing flight.
In career news, the 30-year-old recently sat down with ELLE magazine and when asked about the differences between her QVC line and her Macy's Impulse line, she said, "The biggest difference is that the QVC customers are convenience shoppers, and the Macy?s customers are department-store shoppers."
Miss Richie added, "When I?m in the creative process, I try to not focus on the differences. You'll see a little bit of Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 in both collections. With QVC, I did things like lace-trimmed T-shirts. I went into scarves with QVC, which I haven?t done in Winter Kate or my Macy?s Impulse line."
Nicole also discussed her inspiration explaining, "It all begins with music for me. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music. I?m a huge fan of the '60s and '70s, I love classic rock, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, and the overall freedom of that time. I also love rap and hip-hop. Specifically for QVC, I would say that it was more ?70s focused. I also find inspiration in my everyday environment, books, travel, and great vintage shops and flea markets.
The fashionista's QVC line is set to debut on September 6.

Promoting her latest foray into style and beauty, Nicole Richie brought her new scent to Macy's Glendale Galleria in Glendale, California on Wednesday night (August 29).
The former "Simple Life" star was in her typical stylish form as she took to a booth at the department store while greeting fans and posing for pictures with a bottle of her new fragrance dubbed 'Nicole'.
Described by the style maven herself as ?soulful,? Richie recently said that the enticing perfume is a combination of aromas derived from her own style preferences as well as those of her mother.
?I was inspired by the scents of my childhood,? the 30-year-old added. ?I knew exactly what I wanted to do because my mom would combine different oils and lotions, and the blend of scents became very special to me.?
Also dishing on the packaging, Nicole said, ?It?s very much a reflection of my individual style ? a spiritual balance of femininity and bohemian. It?s the notion that fashion can be easy, comfortable and offer juxtaposition between casual and luxury.?
The silky scent features notes of blackberry, orange, golden amber, Moroccan rose, cashmere, sandalwood, sugared patchouli and vanilla absolute and is available for purchase from $55.

Continuing to stay fit, Nicole Richie headed to the gym in Studio City this afternoon (August 14).
On the way in, the 30-year-old wore a black tank top, black cropped tights, and a large black tote with a denim jacket slung over one shoulder, while sporting perfectly styled hair. Exiting, the daughter of Lionel Richie had her hair pulled into a ponytail as she tried to hide her face from cameras with an Alexander McQueen scarf.
Knowing the importance of staying healthy, Nicole has joined with QVC to support breast cancer research.
The former reality star stated, ?Women everywhere are affected by breast cancer and the battle to fight this disease is more important than ever. Having the opportunity to use fashion as one of my contributions in this battle is extremely rewarding.?
The Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) will put on a shoe sale on the network on October 24, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm EST.
Ms. Richie will appear in print and television adds to support the 19th annual event. Also, a selected shoe design from her House of Harlow 1960 collection will be available for purchase during the sale.

Fresh from her workout, Nicole Richie left her gym in Studio City, California today (August 13).
The 30-year-old fashion designer dressed in all black with a sleeveless shirt, cropped leggings, a large bag, and shades while her hair was up in a neat bun.
Having two children can be rough on a body, but the fashionista has made the effort to keep her body in great health and great shape.
She recently told Glamour magazine, " 'I feel great about my body. You know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to be. I've taken huge leaps. I'm proud of that. I work out, and I get lots of sleep, and so I feel great. And that is so important."
The former reality star's new line of seventies-inspired clothes will debut at Macy's next month.

Getting in a quick morning workout, Nicole Richie was spotted leaving a local gym in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday morning (July 15).
The "Fashion Star" mentor looked sporty in an all-black workout ensemble that included yoga capris and a form-fitting tank top as she was spotted heading out to her vehicle with what looked to be a healthy drink in hand.
Switching to family news, Nicole and her hubby, Joel Madden, took their children for a fun night out where they enjoyed a show from The Wiggles.
Joel took to his Twitter page to show his fans all of the excitement as he posted a photo of Nicole, himself and the kids posing with the children's music group with a caption reading, "The Madden Family got our Wiggle on today with @itswiggletime thanks The Wiggles!"
Nicole also seemed to love her time with the fun-loving Aussie group, as she posed for a goofy picture while tweeting, "Jumping on a tour bus & hittin' the road with The Wiggles! Hot Potato Hot Potato!"

Enjoying a fun girls night out Nicole Richie was spotted arriving at Nobu in Malibu, CA on Monday night (July 2) with her gal pal Jessica Hart.
The ?Fashion Star? beauty looked chic in gold pants, cut out heels and a black leather jacket as the two beauties entered the ritzy establishment to grab a delicious meal.
Possibly keeping it a safe night on the roads after having a few cocktails, the 30-year-old's hubby Joel Madden was spotted picking the duo up after their night of dining.
Making the night a little more difficult, the Aussie model was dealing with her left foot being in a cast. According to reports, Hart was at a friend?s wedding last month where she stepped on a broken piece of glass.

She?s constantly expanding her merchandising empire, and Nicole Richie's latest creation is a new fragrance called Nicole.
The ?Fashion Star? starlet explained that she was inspired to create the perfume by memories of her mother?s extravagant scents.
?I have a very traditional Southern mom ? you never left the house without lotion. Over her lotion went oil and perfume ? she was very put together from head to toe. It wasn?t just a one-dimensional smell ? there were many different layers.? She noted vanilla, amber and cashmere woods were among the notes she wanted to include in her own scent.
She continued, ?I wanted it to represent different layers of a woman, which is what I try to do with Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960. I?m very particular in the way that I create. We?re in an interesting time right now where women aren?t just one thing ? there are many different parts to a woman. So I wanted to create a very intricate bottle that was still elegant, but not so in-your-face girly at the same time.?
As for the ad campaign, ?I always shy away from anything that?s too girly, but I consider myself a feminine girl. Anthony knows how to shoot something and make it be feminine and sexy, but not so in-your-face girly. It?s really about curating a world that I hope women will want to be a part of, and nothing brings that to life like a fragrance.?

The family looked a bit tired as mom and dad carried them through the busy terminal while trying to stay out of the photographer?s viewpoint.
In other news, the blonde beauty recently opened up about the ravishing success of her two fashion lines; House of Harlow and Winter Kate.
"I would have to say the Carmen sunglasses from the House of Harlow 1960 collection. I am so pleased that the Chelsea sunglasses are so popular!" she gushed. "As for shoes, I love the gold Kali slipper shoe as they are so vibrant, and the Neelo jumpsuit from the Winter Kate range - it is super comfortable but chic,? Miss Richie said.
