Making time for fitness in the midst of her busy schedule, Nicole Richie showed up at a Studio City gym this morning (February 28).
The former ?Simple Life? starlet donned a two-tone black and eggplant leather jacket overtop her workout attire as she strolled inside to break a sweat.
In a recent interview, Nicole confessed that she loves to wear a braid when she?s having a bad hair day, and she?s always up for a new coif.
?My hairstylist is my best friend as well, and I?ve always been his guinea pig. We?ve been playing around with different looks for years. It?s our ?girl time.??

There are a bunch of parties this weekend in the lead-up to The Academy Awards and we’ll be bringing you coverage today and tomorrow. Here we have some photos from the QVC Red Carpet Style Party at the Four Seasons last night. I want to start with Nicole Richie in Etro as this was a standout dress. The bodice was too complicated with that bizarre paisley butterfly-looking print, and my initial response is “fug,” but compared to the other guests Nicole took a real risk with her gown. There were a lot of plain black dresses and black pantsuits last night. I don’t know if if this risk paid off for her. I’m not a fan of her very smoky eyes, but overall she looked hot without showing too much skin. Her red platform pumps are ill-matched to the gown, although she may have been going for a pop of color to offset the gothic dress.
Speaking of hot we have Miranda Kerr working a green lacy Burberry dress with an open back and sheer neckline. She looks amazing and her hair and makeup are so pretty. I really like her pointy gold t-strap heels too.

Sharing the story of Peter Pan with her little boy, Nicole Richie headed to El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for a play on Saturday (January 26).
The former reality star was dressed in all black with a blazer, knitted hat, leggings, and matching Chuck Taylors as she held Sparrow's hand.
Recently, the 31-year-old fashion designer made a daring move by chopping off her long locks into a shoulder-length bob.
Sharing the big decision with her Twitter followers, Nicole posted a photo of herself mid-cut with the caption, "B.O.B." with a later tweet adding, "Take it off, Andels."

Keeping up on her enviable figure, Nicole Richie started off her week with a trip to the gym in Studio City, CA on Monday (January 14).
The 31 year-old fashion designer made even breaking a sweat look good as she exited wearing a studded white leather jacket, Nike workout capris and a luxe designer bag.
The morning fitness session comes just a day after Nicole enjoyed a star-studded night out at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Richie showed up to the glamorous Beverly HIlton Hotel hosted event wearing a light blue Naeem Khan dress and Brian Atwood shoes.
Before hitting the red carpet, the "Fashion Star" mentor took to her Twitter page to give her fans an insight on how she keeps her locks in perfect condition, writing, "Weightless shine is a must during #awards season. Check out my look tonight, thanks to @SuaveBeauty Moroccan Infusion Collection! #suave."

Looking to maintain her flawless figure, Nicole Richie showed up at a fitness center in Studio City, California yesterday afternoon (December 20).
The ?Simple Life? starlet/fashion designer was no fan of being photographed and shielded her face from the shutterbugs as she scurried to her car.
And while much of her life has transitioned to accommodate her role as a mom, Nicole isn?t willing to give up her clothing obsession.
She confessed, ?I wear all the same [types of] things I wore [before motherhood]. I?ll always stay true to me.?
Richie also noted that this winter she has a few go-to ideas for what to wear. ?I love a great statement pullover sweater. Just a crewneck statement sweater paired with jeans or a knee-length skirt. I?m a big fan of Balenciaga and Alexander Wang. I stick to what works.?
?I get up at 5:30 in the morning and I don?t really stop for anything until about 7 or 8 at night. I?m going all day so it?s important for me, for my lifestyle, to kind of just be comfortable and not really think about what I?m wearing. I?ve always been one to dress for comfort.?

Keeping away any dreaded winter weight, Nicole Richie went for a workout in Studio City, California on Tuesday (November 20).
The fashion designer and former reality star looked cute in a red top, black workout tights, and a leather jacket as she sipped her juice.
Recently, the 31-year-old trendsetter got a shout-out from an unlikely source. While speaking to a crowd of conservatives about controversial supreme court cases, Justice Samuel Alito quoted Ms. Richie herself.
When discussing the awards show comment that spurred the Supreme Court case of Fox v. FCC, the conservative justice quoted her comment with appropriate censors for the audience, saying, "Have you ever tried to get cow bleep out of a purse. It's not so bleeping simple."

Looking tanned and confident, Nicole Richie attended DuJour's Nicole Richie October Cover Party hosted at SkyBar at the Mondrian Los Angeles on Friday (September 14).
The proud fashion designer wore a beige and black short-sleeved dress with a plunging neckline and a slit up the side of the skirt, complete with snakeskin-like heels.
Apparently, the former reality star enjoyed herself at the event. Afterwards she tweeted a photo of her and a gal friend laughing with the caption, "According to my hair, I had an AMAZING night."
Yesterday, the 30-year-old socialite appeared on "Good Morning America" to promote her new 25-piece Impulse capsule collection at Macy's. The looks are available in stores or online.

Debuting her limited edition collection for Macy's, Nicole Richie was on hand to present her 1970's inspired line in New York City on Wednesday evening (September 12).
The former "Fashion Star" mentor looked gorgeous as always in one of her own designs, while decked out in a teal color long-sleeve velvet mini, which she paired with maroon heels.
During the event, the 30-year-old tweeted, "INCREDIBLE day! So excited to officially be a part of the Macy's family #MacysImpulse."
In a previous interview with 4-traders, Richie talked about joining the American retail giant, saying, "Macy's is an iconic American retailer and I have been thrilled by the opportunity to partner with them on this limited collection," adding, "each item is a nod to the modern American woman whose fashion is always evolving. By mixing prints and fabrics and playing with proportions, my capsule allows the Macy's 'Impulse' customer to experiment with her personal style in an effortless and affordable way."
The capsule collection will be featured online and in more than 100 different Macy's locations starting today. It will give fashionable women everywhere the opportunity to indulge in Nicole's bohemian aesthetic as the price ranges from $39-$129.
