Here is the completely sketchy cover of a very alien-looking Salma Hayek on the January issue of V Magazine Spain. The shot was done by Karl Lagerfeld, and Salma is wearing McQueen. Some excerpts have just come out from the interview - Salma talking about being an illegal immigrant in the United States when she first started out in Hollywood, and how she was the victim of ?the worst? racial discrimination:
Salma Hayek talks about her humble beginnings, her former undocumented immigrant status and her charity projects in the new issue of V Magazine Spain, where the Mexican actress seductively poses for the cover titled ?A Woman?s Weapons.?
Hayek?s involvement with women?s issues has distinguished her in Hollywood. Her advocacy includes promoting awareness programs about violence against women and on the rising discrimination against undocumented workers.
?I was an illegal immigrant in the United States,? Hayek said during the interview. ?It was for a small period of time, but I still did it.?
Today, Hayek is one of the most prominent Latina figures in Hollywood. She is an acclaimed actress, director and producer and one of a few Latinas to be nominated in the “Best Actress” category of the Academy Awards.
?I had to endure the worst time of all in terms of racial discrimination in Hollywood when I first started out,? Hayek said in the interview. ?It was inconceivable to American directors and producers that a Mexican woman could have a lead role.?

Eh. Are people going to get pissed about this? I don?t know. I think even the worst racist in the world would take one look at Salma?s jugs and think ?Yeah, yeah, those tittays deserve a green card.? As far as racist Hollywood goes? perhaps Salma is telling the truth. I could definitely see it. But there?s another thing too - I don?t really think she?s the best actress, you know? Yes, I know she was nominated for an Oscar, but in most of her films and television appearances, she reveals herself to be not all that great. Still, nice jugs.

Doing a little holiday shopping, Salma Hayek was spotted at the Dolls Frimousses De Createurs 2010 Auction yesterday in Paris, France.
Joined by her husband Francois-Henri Pinault and their daughter Valentina, the ?Desperado? actress looked lovely as she mingled at the UNICEF benefit event at Drouot Montaigne.
In a recent interview, Salma confessed that prior to her massive success as an actress she spent some time in the USA illegally.
?I was an illegal immigrant in the United States. It was for a small period of time, but I still did it. I had to endure the worst time of all in terms of racial discrimination in Hollywood when I first started out. It was inconceivable to American directors and producers that a Mexican woman could have a lead role.?
?Hollywood has definitely grown, in embracing the inclusion of Latinos in the world because, for some time, we didn't exist. We were not part of any stories.?

Set to begin a new project, Salma Hayek is bringing the telenovela back to ABC.
The ?Bandidas? babe and producer, Jose Tamez, are in talks to develop a US version of the Argentinian limited drama series, ?Los Roldan.?
Ms Hayek will be working with ?Ugly Betty? writer Veronica Becker along with Sarah Kucserka, who will work as a writer and producer of the project.
?Los Roldan? is about a working-class man who saves the life of a woman, who then hires him to run her company- much the digression of her family, according to Variety.

The ?Desperado? dame looked to be in good spirits as she led her little girl to the Los Angeles school, sporting a white top, dark trousers, sunglasses, and a light fedora.
When it comes to raising Valentina, Salma says she tries to make sure there is plenty of discipline in her house.
