Period-talk: when I was a teenager, I had the easiest periods ever. Minimal cramping, some minor breast soreness, and my usual period lasted five days, tops. But as I?ve gotten older, everything has gotten worse. I?m currently cramping like a mothef?ker, my boobs are so sore I?m actually wondering if there?s something wrong and I just feel like hell overall. My point? Every woman is different, and everybody changes as they get older. It?s true that many woman get bloated all over ahead of or during their periods. It?s true that some women?s breasts feel or look fuller too. But I?m still not buying ?I?m on my period? as an explanation for how Kylie Jenner looks in these photos. Kylie posted photos on Instagram and Snapchat yesterday and everyone was like, ?Um, boob job much?? And Kylie says no, she?s just on her period and everything is bloated, including her boobs.
When asked about it on Twitter, she tweeted: ?TMI but it?s that time of the month lol? and ?They will deflate soon. And it will be a sad sad day.? She also said she wasn?t wearing a bra in these photos, and that she?s ?never? gotten a boob job. Just like she never did lip augmentation, right? And just like she suddenly grew a Kardashian-butt overnight too? And just like she got a completely new face just by contouring.
So, do you believe her? I do not. I think some/many women do feel fuller/bloated before and during their periods, so I?m not saying it never happens. But Kylie got a boob job.

It?s sometimes difficult to remember that Kylie Jenner, like Kendall, is considered a model. As in, Kylie considers herself a model, even though she rarely scores the kind of modeling work that Kendall gets. Kylie ?models? for magazines and she has one big modeling contract, her contract with Puma. And while that?s better than most would-be models, it?s still not really a legit modeling career. Kylie has been featured IN Vogue, but she?ll probably never appear on the cover of Vogue. And she?s mad about that, allegedly.
Is Kylie Jenner?s mind, she?s A-list ? too bad the fashion world doesn?t agree. Sources say that Kylie couldn?t believe Vogue editrix Anna Wintour chose Gigi Hadid to grace the cover of August?s Vogue instead of her.
?Ever since she had her lips done, Kylie feels like she is the hottest out of her family and was furious that Kendall and Kim both got their own Vogue covers,? dishes a friend. ?She thought for sure she was next and tells everyone that Gigi only got it because she?s such a pushy suck-up.?
But Kylie?s barely existent modeling career isn?t Gigi?s fault ? it?s her own. Fashion sources reveal that Kylie?s poor reputation precedes her.
?It?s well known that Kylie is a nightmare on photoshoots,? says an industry inside. ?She never looks up from her phone and will stay in the dressing room for hours. And at the end of the day, she just can?t model ? the only way she knows to pose for the camera is to do duck lips.?

I don?t know if Kylie is a nightmare on shoots, but I do know that she?s a terrible model, and that she?s really only capable of two poses: dead-eyed fembot and duck-lipped sad doll. After all of the work she?s had done on her face, that?s literally all she CAN do. Does Kylie even want the cover of Vogue? Probably, but I don?t see how she feels like she?s earned it. Then again, Kendall is allegedly the September cover girl of Vogue, and I don?t really know how Kendall would deserve it either.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a mountain of gossip stories about Kylie Jenner. I?ve mostly ignored them, because Kylie is A) so dumb and B) so obvious. I mean, of course she got back together with Tyga. OF COURSE. No sooner had she disentangled herself from everything to do with Tyga than he worms his way back into her life and her home. She?s financially supporting him, you know. Isn?t that gross?
Anyway, I?m choosing to write about Kylie at this moment because of her whole ?lip kit? thing. Unlike the older Kardashian sisters who put their names on just about anything, Kylie wanted to start small, and she?s been quietly trying to build her ?lip kit? business. For the longest time, I just pretended to understand what a ?lip kit? was, but now I think I know ? it?s prepackaged lipstick/gloss and liner, right? All the same color, or coordinated colors so that you too can achieve the look of Kylie?s crazy lip injections. Kylie sells the lip kits online and at a few boutiques, but they?ve been selling out faster than they can be produced, and the crazy demand has revealed how bad Kylie is at running a business. So this story is obvious:
Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics co. is a big fat FAILURE … at least according to the Better Business Bureau. Kylie Cosmetics’ consumer satisfaction rating has plummeted to an all-time low … it gets an F. The company’s racked up 137 customer complaints on BBB in the 9 months since it began operating.
As we’ve reported, Kylie Cosmetics has had a slew of problems … from security breaches to packages getting stolen or ransacked. Many people say they’ve never even heard back from customer service.
BBB confronted the company last month, but problems still persist. In the last week alone, 10 people complained about service or delivery. One customer’s kit arrived without the pencil. Kylie needs a B to get back in BBB’s good graces. Better work on some extra credit, KJ.

Kylie?s in a good position, really: people are obsessed with her lip kits and they?ll pay crazy amounts of money for them. She can?t keep the sh-t in stock, you know? Now she just needs to work on the fundamentals of service. Perhaps she needs to hire a better manager and expand production?

Kylie Jenner pulled out all of the stops for her first-ever turn on the Met Gala carpet. And the result was? she looked just like vintage Kim Kardashian. I do think it?s weird that Kylie apes Kim so hard, so often. Kylie?s Balmain gives off such strong Kim K-vibes, only I guess the point is that Kylie is younger and smaller? Whatever. Kim Kardashian 2.0.
Kendall Jenner made a point of NOT wearing Balmain like the rest of her family. Instead, Kendall chose this Versace. Which? I don?t know you guys, I sort of love it? On another woman, I might not have cared, but this looks amazing on her.
Cindy Crawford briefly posed with Kendall Jenner on the carpet, which would have been really cool if Kendall had been wearing Balmain too. Cindy decided to go to the Met Gala as part of Balmain Army, and I don?t hate this. I?ll say it: I think Olivier Rousteing did a great job putting together the Balmain looks for the Met Gala. Consistently, the Balmain looks were some of my favorites.
Joan Smalls slayed it in Balmain too, you guys. Unfortunately, barely anyone took photos of her.

Weirdly, I got a request for more coverage of Kylie Jenner, specially Kylie?s many costume changes at Coachella. Kylie is attending Coachella as part of what I?m sure is some sort of sponsorship. She was promoting her Paper Magazine cover (I think Paper Mag hosted a party for her), plus? some other stuff. She keeps posting selfies on her Instagram of all of her costume changes and wig changes. The Louis Vuitton monokini is especially? odd. I guess?
It seems like Kylie is either staying at a private rental home or a hotel, probably in Palm Springs, while she ?attends Coachella.? This is basically what all of the rich kids too ? they play ?hippies? for the paps, wandering around Coachella in their designer hippie clothes, then they return to their five-star luxury villa in Palm Springs for the night. In Kylie?s case, it seems like she?s barely even at Coachella events. She?s just hanging out in her villa, posting fashion & hair selfies.
Also, Kylie?s other swimsuit look ? with the rainbow wig ? was Kylie just completely copying another lady?s look. Which Kylie does all the time! She obsessively watches people on social media, copies their look and then claims that she ?started? it.

I don?t know why Kylie Jenner is on so many magazine covers this month, but here?s another one for the pile: Kylie covers the new issue of AdWeek. Last week?s issue featured a heavily Photoshopped Kerry Washington, who criticized the excessive Photoshop use publicly. It looks like AdWeek didn?t learn their lesson though, because I had to double and triple-check that this was Kylie on the cover. The issue is devoted to the Millennials, and it makes me depressed for that generation if Kylie Jenner is the best representation. You can read AdWeek?s story about Kylie?s brand/empire here, and her full interview here. Thankfully, she didn?t try to claim (again) that she STARTED WIGS.
How she decides which brands to work with: ?I have to be passionate about the brand and just love it. It has to be a perfect fit. I don’t work with anything that doesn’t work with my brand.?
She started makeup though. ?I feel like people trust my makeup decisions. Before I had a cosmetics line, I couldn’t even buy the products that I loved because I would go into stores and they’d be, like, ?Everything’s sold out. Everyone wants to buy the color lipstick you’re using.? It got frustrating. So I kind of just wanted to take matters into my own hands and create my own line and show people what I actually use and what I actually love.?
Whether she wants to start selling her makeup line in stores: ?I’ve been thinking about it. Definitely not in the next year. But if I were to sell in stores, I don’t know that I would go to a big retailer. I would probably just do everything on my own. But that is still in discussion.?
Whether lip kits are popular because they?re difficult to find: ?What’s interesting is that it’s not small at all. We only keep making more and more every single week and it sells out faster and faster. Literally, I pray that it lasts more than 15 minutes every single time. I want people who just feel like buying a kit to be able to go online and buy it. I want that so bad. But right now, it doesn’t seem possible.?
Social media versus real life: ?You can’t really tell who a person is from, like, an eight-second Snapchat video or an Instagram. I only post on Instagram or Snapchat what I want people to see, you know? But there’s a whole other side to me that people don’t know?I feel like people want to see me have a cool hair color and dress a certain way and have pretty makeup and heels. If they were to see me in public, they would expect me to look like that. It’s also fun for me, dressing up. That’s always been me, since day one, but it’s also exhausting for everyday life.?
Her anti-bullying initiative: ?Just being a young socialite on the internet, it comes with a lot of bullying and a lot of different opinions that have affected me throughout the years. So I just kind of turned to real people with real issues?way bigger issues than me?who are so positive. It just inspires me and I wanted to share it with my fans.?
She doesn?t want to share everything online: ?There’s a really big part of my life that I don’t share online, and I feel like people think that just because I have a reality TV show and I’m on Snapchat for probably 10 minutes altogether throughout the day, that they know my life. But I feel like everybody?every celebrity, at least?keeps a big part of their life super private. Like, I don’t show a lot of my relationships or my ups and downs. I’d never have a fight with someone [on Instagram].?

I hate to admit it, but Kylie actually is right about one thing ? she doesn?t overshare online. Anymore. Maybe in the beginning she did, but for a solid year now, she?s been very controlled about her brand/image, and her social media presence is pretty sterile and business-oriented, meaning? you?ll get a cleavage selfie but you won?t see her gushing about Tyga in Instagram after Instagram. Also… again with the “young socialite” label. Enough.
Also, this interview inspired me to actually look at Kylie?s Lip Kit site for the first time ever. She?s just doing direct sales from this site, and yes, everything is completely sold out. She built an empire out of really expensive lipstick and the allure of exclusivity and limited supplies. Hey, you guys? she started lipstick. Just like she started wigs.

Marie Claire?s May issue has multiple covers, devoted to ?Fresh Faces.? While Kylie Jenner is young, I would not exactly call her a fresh face, you know? Unless there?s some sort of implied shade, like her face looks ?fresh? these days because she keeps getting all of this work done. Marie Claire also gave covers to Hailey Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Zendaya and Ellie Goulding. CB and I are splitting up the covers, and in this post, we?re mostly talking about Kylie?s Fresh Face and how vapid she is in print interviews/life. Some highlights from her interview:
On learning more details surrounding her dad?s transition along with the rest of the world in his Diane Sawyer interview: ?I?ve always known. It was a secret we just couldn?t talk about.?
On her ability to influence others and have fun with it: ?I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs. Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night?I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow.?
On posting photos on social media: “When I post sexy photos, I always regret it. Like, Oh my God, everyone is seeing my body. I get really weird about it.”

And for this, she got a Marie Claire cover. I get that there?s some new math involved with celebrity magazine covers and such, but this just makes me feel sorry for Gugu, because she?s actually a talented actress with a lot to say about her profession and the world. You can read Marie Claire?s highlights here ? Gugu says that she would love to play Rosa Parks one day and she thinks Will and Jada Smith were ?very brave? for boycotting the Oscars this year.
As for Kylie?s words? I seriously doubt she regrets posting sexy photos on her social media since that?s a huge part of her career at this point. She?s built a small empire mostly from her social media presence, and not a week goes by without Kylie posting a photo of her booty, her cleavage, etc.

As for her cosmetic procedures, Kylie explains, ?People think that I?ve had everything done. I thought it was going to chill down when I said, ?OK, I admit it, I got my lips done, I never lied, I just wasn?t telling the whole truth?. And then people took that and were like, ?Oh well, if she got her lips done she probably got everything done?. People don?t realize I just turned 18, so there?s no way my mom would ever let me undergo a nose job or a boob job.?
