It felt like the neverending pregnancy, but as it turns out, Chrissy Teigen gave birth earlier than expected. Chrissy and John Legend welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday. We don?t know the name yet! Their first child, Luna May, is just two years old. Chrissy and John had some issues conceiving naturally, so both of her pregnancies happened with a doctor?s help, and they were both super-planned. This is how Chrissy announced it:

Of all the things that make me raise an eyebrow about Chrissy Teigen, her relationship with husband John Legend is not one of them. I think they adore each other and appreciate each other?s quirks and idiosyncrasies. I believe in the ?if it works for them? approach to relationships. There are a lot of things that Chrissy does that drive me crazy but I?m not married to her and John is clearly head over heels for her.
However, as Chrissy told us last December, this was not always the case. There was a brief period when John tried to break up with Chrissy and she wouldn?t allow it. It wasn?t so much a break in their relationship as it was a burp. John said he wanted to be single, Chrissy said, ?no,? and they were dating again before the end of the day. The whole thing took about a half hour ? about the time than it takes to have my legs waxed. Fortunately for them, it lasted much longer than my leg waxing because they are still together.
John was recently interviewed by The Guardian and they brought it up so he clarified about how fleeting the idea of splitting actually was. John said, ?I was really stressed and busy. I was just like: ?I?d just be happier single right now,? and she was like: ?No.’” When the headlines became ?Chrissy wouldn?t let John break up with her,? Chrissy decided to address it on Twitter in a way only Chrissy could:

Chrissy Teigen is snapping back at commenters who disapprove of her latest social media post so it must be? a day ending in ?y?. This latest brouhaha is curtesy of this little video Chrissy posted to Instagram on Saturday. The video show Chrissy, who is being assisted by husband John Legend, turning on her toes in Ballet pointe shoes (Caution ? Loud F-Bomb)

Vacations are essential for one?s sanity (says someone who hasn?t been on a proper trip in over two years) and Chrissy Teigen is definitely got a handle on a successful work/life balance. She and her husband John Legend have traveled extensively and have shared the photos on social media to prove it. Their adorable 18 month-old daughter, Luna, is always with them. Little Luna has also traveled to see Daddy while he?s on the road with his 53-date Darkness and Light tour, which kicked off in May.
Chrissy recently talked travel with Us Magazine. She stated that when she and John talked plans for his tour, ?we never thought of not bringing [Luna] with us.? She added, ?In each city we try and get an AirBnb, so we can cook and have a normal life.” When asked if Luna watches dad perform on stage, Chrissy said she?s only ?seen a few shows.? She explained, ?It can be too much for her. She gets pretty overwhelmed. We tend to stay in the soundboard. And it?s also bedtime.?
During the days on tour, Chrissy and Luna do some exploring, but it seems Chrissy?s getting the most out of it. She said, ?We love hitting up local aquariums, education centers and museums. She?s still so young but I want to go! I drag her around. It?s fun to look up activities or tweet and ask for things to do. I get great answers!?
Of course, it?s not all museum fun and nice AirBnB accommodations. Chrissy admits that the hardest part about family travel is ?definitely flying.? She admitted that she and John ?try to avoid it? adding:
[Luna] just did a long flight from Bali and nailed it ? on the way home. On the way there, I was going to have a panic attack. Before I had kids, I was hyperaware of them crying. So I feel like I know when it?s too loud. I get up and apologize. But kids are going to be kids. They?re going to scream. I?m never going to be the parent pretending my kid is not doing that.

I don?t have kids, and I?m not overly fond of them in general (unless they are my friends/family?s kids, of course), and I dread sitting next to babies on planes, so I appreciate Chrissy?s being attentive and apologetic about the whole thing. And as much as I can?t relate to traveling with or without a baby, I definitely can relate to Chrissy?s recent woes about her period acne. She posted a video to Twitter calling out her ?period skin? and captioning the clip with ?So mad.?

Chrissy Teigen went to the Tony Awards to support her husband, John Legend, who won a Tony for best play revival for Jitney, which he co-produced. As Billboard explains, this means that Legend is just an Emmy away from an EGOT. He’s 38 (I thought he was younger honestly) and that’s an amazing accomplishment. As accomplished, admirable and measured John is (apart from “politics” although I rather admire the strong stance he takes on important issues), his wife Chrissy makes up for it. She’s usually in a beef with someone, snapchatting her drunken moments, or pulling focus somehow. She’s self aware about it though, and recently tweeted this:

I am not any kind of Chrissy Teigen fan. I?m just putting that out there right now. To me, she?s as much as a thirsty attention-seeker as Amy Schumer or Lena Dunham. All of those women follow the same kind of path, actually: say or do something ?outrageous? or ?controversial,? then bask in the negative attention that it brings, then issue some statement about ?HOW DARE YOU!? Lena, Amy and Chrissy are all like that: whirlwinds of self-perpetuating drama. So, what?s the latest? Chrissy Teigen told beauty editors about all of the plastic surgery that she?s had done:
While she shot down the rumors that her cheeks are implants to group of beauty editors, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit pointed to her forehead, nose and lips and said “fake, fake, fake.”
“Everything about me is fake except my cheeks,” Teigen said to the editors.
While she didn’t say exactly what had been done to her face, of course the honesty is deeply refreshing and admirable in an industry where most stars deny or simply hide any of their private procedures.

Teigen went on to say that she has also gotten liposuction in one place you wouldn?t expect:
“I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things. It’s a big secret, but I don’t care. It was nine years ago or so. And I had two inches to my armpit. Now it’s back though, so now I’ve gotta pay for [liposuction] again. It was so easy. It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident. It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly.”

In a day and age where I (for one) suspect chivalry could be taking its last breath, along comes John Legend to prove me wrong. On Sunday night, John and wife Chrissy Teigen hit a party in New York. The 31-year-old model wore a mini-dress and didn’t seem to plan well for a slightly chilly Big Apple evening. John, ever the gentleman, took off his jacket and gave it to his wife to keep her warm. Aww.
Before the evening’s festivities, John presented his wife of four years with a wrist corsage and the couple posed for photos reminiscent of prom pictures. Chrissy shared the whole thing on Snapchat, because of course she did.

If you follow Chrissy Teigen on social media, you know she?s into sharing. A LOT of sharing. Not only does she share photos from family vacations and drunken Super Bowl escapades, she also gives followers a look at her home life with husband John Legend and their beautiful daughter Luna, who celebrated her first birthday Friday. What you may not have seen amidst the smiling faces and laughter is the fact that Chrissy battled with postpartum depression after giving birth to Luna. She wrote a powerful essay for Glamour discussing her struggle with PPD, admitting to crying bouts, depression and difficultly even leaving the house.
Chrissy sought treatment and was put on antidepressant. In a new interview with Refinery29, she says she still has some ?bad days,” but that she?s not letting those small setbacks get her down. Also in the interview, the Vita CoCo spokesperson called coconut water ?delicious? (I am SO not buying that) and discussed some of the highs and lows she?s experienced as a mom. Here are some highlights:
Chrissy?s advice for Moms suffering from PPD: Just know that there’s a light on the other side. When I was in the midst of everything, I could never imagine myself on the other side of it. Now, I’m able to look at September, October, November, December, and shake my head at how dark and crazy of a period it was. Unfortunately you can only really do that when you’re out of it. There’s no other way to explain it. And there’s no better feeling than being out of it. Of course, you have your good and bad days. I just had a bad day a couple days ago. But the bad days do not outweigh the good days anymore. Just when you think it’s really really bad, it’s going to get better. So hopefully, if you’re going through something tough you can find some peace in knowing that.
On changing who you are after motherhood: You definitely do have to change. You just have to. But a lot of my friends and I joke whenever I go out, like ‘Oh, here goes cool mom,’ or if I ask for a braid in my hair, they’re like ‘Oh, you want to be cool mom again!’ You naturally change because there’s something else that consumes your mind at all times and I don’t think you can help that, but you can still be cool! But, some people are lucky enough to have people around them who are able to help. Like, my mom lives with us. It’s an incredible experience that I’m able to have, because I can maintain this balance of still having a life, and being a mother, and being a mother with a life, and my life being a mother. And even if you don’t have a live-in mom, if you aren’t afraid to lean on other people when you need it, I don’t think you have to feel like you have to give everything up. But it does change you, and that’s why I think you have to be completely ready.
On the (gross) joys of motherhood: Maybe like five minutes ago, I took my nail up Luna’s nose and scraped the most epic booger out you can ever imagine. And I put it in a paper towel and I kind of stared at it for a while, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is like a really amazing booger I got.’ Like you get very excited for being able to clear out your kid’s nose. I have this obsession with digging out her boogers with my pinky. I try to be as gentle as possible, but once I see it, I can’t go to bed knowing it’s in there. I need to get it out. I’ve honestly thought about putting my mouth around her nose and just sucking it out.

Chrissy wasn?t the only one that PPD took a toll on. Hubby John recently revealed to The Sun that he didn?t see his wife?s battle with PPD coming. He went on to say,
You?re not emotionally prepared for someone that?s going through a dark time as you?re welcoming this new life. When you don?t understand what?s happening, it?s a bit challenging to figure it out and you don?t know if it?s something you?ve done or some other reason why she?s not feeling well. Once you understand what the reasons are then it makes perfect sense and you can adjust accordingly. It?s a chemical thing that happens to a lot of people after giving birth and there are ways to treat it and deal with it. So many people go through this ? they say one in nine but there?s probably more than that. I think it was good for [Chrissy] to talk about it.

Not only is Chrissy triumphing over PPD, she?s also getting back into the kitchen to work on the follow-up cookbook to Cravings. She had put the project on pause during her bout with PPD, but felt that she was now ?back into the mode of cooking.? Even though the book probably won?t hit shelves until next year, I can only hope this results in more ?food porn? on social media. Chrissy has already taken to Twitter to ask fans for advice on what recipes to feature.

I know there are mixed feelings about Chrissy Teigen here. While a lot of people think the social media addict should rein it in a bit, she does use her celebrity for good once in a while. She lent her support to the girls who were kicked off a recent United flight for wearing leggings and, back in December, she gifted one of her Lip Sync Battle dresses to a fan. I never got those knee-high boots I put a good word in for yet, but I?m keeping hope alive.
Over the weekend, Chrissy committed a random act of kindness that was truly a life-changer. Mercedes Edney, an aspiring beautician/beauty blogger in Charlotte, North Carolina, set up a crowd funding page through YouCaring to raise the money she needed to become a licensed esthetician. Getting that license isn’t cheap, Mercedes was looking at $5,995 for tuition, books, and an enrollment fee. The only school she could attend, the Academy of Nail Technology & Esthetics, does not have financial aid, and Mercedes wasn?t eligible for any scholarships.
Mercedes raised a couple of hundred dollars from friends and family, but on Friday, was shocked to see a huge donation of $5,605 posted to her fundraising page from the 31-year-old model. Chrissy added the message, ?I?ve seen this be your passion for such a long time now. So excited to see you fulfill your dream!? Mercedes took to Instagram to share the good news. Posting a photo of a receipt for the down payment for her schooling, she said,
Something absolutely amazing happened last night. Many of you know how much I love skin care and my plans to attend esthetician school next month. Last night I posted my tuition fundraiser on twitter and something I never in my wildest dreams happened. My paypal alert went off, and as I looked at my phone, there was amount of $5605. I thought it was a glitch. I then look at my email and realized it came from my fundraiser. @chrissyteigen donated my entire tuition money for school. I have been crying all night and I cried in the office this morning as I paid my downpayment for esthetician school. I haven't been this happy in a very long time. Thank you Chrissy and thank you to everyone else who voted or rtd my link or have supported me this entire time. It means more to me than you'll ever know. ?? #ixorabb #futureesthetician
