Ariana Grande dropped a hint yesterday about the title of her new single coming out next week. Its probably called 7 Rings and people think its going to sample Biggies Gimme The Loot because she also posted a screenshot from the video for it. (NSFW link to that song, radio edit link). The song is fire, but Im usually not into Biggies music. (I love 90s rap but more like The Pharcyde, Pete Rock, Tribe Called Quest, etc.) Heres her tweet:

I know whenever I stan for someone that people will just tell me how awful they are. Sometimes I console myself that arguments and complaints in the comments means more pageviews and its all good. Other times I keep in perspective by remembering that I write about celebrities for a living from home. However I feel protective of Ariana Grande for some reason. I think thats because shes a legitimate PTSD survivor, she changed from the horrific Manchester bombing, she was engaged to a doofus and she self corrected! How often do celebrities do that? Plus shes letting her fans see her vulnerability, her mistakes and the way shes coming back from all that. Shes a great example to young women and again I will be mildly hurt when people call her haughty and say shes self absorbed. What is wrong with me that I even care? She probably is all those things.
Ariana just made the predictable move of cutting her way too long ponytail, which she admitted was tight and painful. Its likely that she only took a small amount off her natural hair, since her ponytail must have been mostly extensions. Still this is super cute, she was using her hair as a security blanket, that was part of her look and she shed that. Its not like she is sporting a pixie now or went for a bright color though. This is relatable, but I wish she would have posted a regular selfie instead of an face-filtered one. I dont get that at all.

As we heard yesterday, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson called off their engagement after a whirlwind romance of less than six months. Most of us believed they wouldnt last as they burned so hot and fast, but it seemed mutual as least. As I mentioned yesterday I didnt expect them to go the distance, but I was still surprised that they broke up so soon. Arianas ex, Mac Miller, passed away from an accidental overdose last month, which reportedly led her to reevaluate her relationship with Pete. Although US weekly claimed that Pete and Ariana had just broken off their engagement and werent necessarily done with each other, that may not be the case. TMZ is reporting that Ariana has returned the $100k engagement ring Pete gave her after they were only seeing each other a month.
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have called it quits, and that usually means dividing up the pots and pans, or in their case a super expensive engagement ring and a pet pig.
Sources close to Ariana tell us shes already returned the nearly $100k engagement ring Davidson gave her back in June. The ring a 3.03 carat diamond set in platinum was a one of a kind, made specifically for Grande, and took weeks to complete. Were told there was no struggle over whod keep the ring. He bought it in contemplation of marriage, and she was quick to fork it over.
Piggy Smallz the couples teacup pig they adopted last month became a signature of their relationship in fact, Davidson got a tattoo of Smallz on his torso shortly after she became part of their family.
Heres the thing. Ariana bought the pig and it was really hers from the get-go, so shes keeping it again, no fight over the porker.

As TMZ noted, the pig was always Arianas. Pete has said that getting the pig was her idea and that she was able to get it right away because shes so connected. Now that shes given the ring back I wonder if hell get some of the money back from the jeweler or if hell trade it in for his next girlfriend.
There are a lot of insider quotes about the end of their relationship, which was reportedly Arianas decision, and where they go from here. I believe these quotes are all from Arianas people because Pete probably doesnt have a PR team. Some are very favorable toward his side though. Im including quotes from three outlets below. Whats notable is that Ariana is the one who left their expensive apartment, according to E!, even though she was the one who was paying for it. Maybe thats because she was the dumper and felt guilty.
Pete has really been there for Ariana, the source says, and she will always have a special place in her heart for him, but told him that right now is not the best time.
She has been struggling emotionally and is not in a situation where she should plan a wedding, another source tells E! News. She had to take a step back and just breathe for a minute. Shes been completely overwhelmed and wants to slow down.
Grande is truly hurting from the death of Mac and feels very overwhelmed with her life right now, the first source tells E! News. Ariana hasnt given herself enough time for the grieving and healing process, and feels like her emotions are out of control.
Shes truly devastated, the source adds. Shes been battling her feelings and knows that she needs to take time for herself right now.
Neither of them know whats going to happen in the future. She just felt she had to slow it down.

Last week Pete Davidson had his neck tattoo for Ariana Grande, a pair of bunny ears inspired by her Dangerous Woman album getup, changed into a heart. These two have multiple other tattoos for each other, at least six more by Page Sixs count. A source told Page Six that Pete changed his tattoo to match one of Arianas other tattoos, and not because they were having problems. That was probably a fib because they just announced the end of their engagement. Theyve been together about five months and they seemingly chronicled their entire relationship on social media. A source told US that they broke off their engagement this weekend but that theyre not officially done yet.

Ariana has been going through some hard times following the death of her ex boyfriend, Mac Miller, early last month. Shes been taking breaks from social media and she didnt perform on SNL as scheduled at the end of September, although she was backstage supporting Pete (who made an awful joke that episode about their relationship). She was even at SNL this Saturday, according to TMZ, which confirms that Macs death was a turning point for them. I hope theyre both doing ok and that they take time to heal and be by themselves. No one expected them to last but I didnt expect them to break up this soon either.
