My gossip radar pinged on Sunday, when Ariana Grande turned up at the Wimbledon men?s final, looking blonde, single and ringless. I just didn?t think we would get this announcement right away! So, just before the pandemic hit, Ariana started dating Dalton Gomez. They basically went into lockdown together and their love blossomed. They got engaged by the end of 2020 and they were married in May 2021. Two years later, they?re headed for a divorce.
Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez have been separated since January, and they are heading toward divorce sources connected to the couple tell TMZ. As we reported, Ariana was not wearing her wedding ring at Wimbledon over the weekend in fact, shes been ringless a lot these days.
Were told a few months back the 2 tried a reconciliation, but it failed.
One source with direct knowledge told TMZ, their relationship is heading for divorce.
Ariana and Dalton have been thousands of miles apart since December, when she started filming Wicked. Our sources say they were having problems even before that. Were told they remain friends and still talk on the phone regularly, but, according to sources, the marriage is kaput.

People Magazine had a confirmation of the news too, with a source telling the magazine that Ari and Dalton separated earlier this year and ?have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship.? Ariana has been in London for months and Dalton did NOT join her (although he reportedly flew in for one last-ditch effort to win her back). Now the Wicked production has been halted because of the SAG-AFTRA strike? and she?s still in London. Anyway, I think this was a pandemic romance which ran its course. I also believe ?I need to be married by such-and-such an age? played a part.
At Wimbledon, she was sitting in between Andrew Garfield and Jonathan Bailey. Bailey is a gay man, so on that level, of course Ariana would dump her husband and then go drink Pimms at Wimbledon with her gay BFF. But so few people are talking about the fact that she was sitting next to Andrew too. Andrew is single, last time I checked. Something to keep your eye on.

Ariana Grande married Dalton Gomez two weekends ago at their home in Montecito. At the time, Ariana and her people merely confirmed the news to People Magazine and other outlets, and we didn?t even have one wedding portrait to use. I hoped that Ariana would eventually post some photos on her Instagram, and she did. But because she?s Ari, it?s a bit complicated! Vogue Magazine claims they have the exclusive on Ari?s wedding, but Ari just went ahead and posted a dozen of the photos on her IG anyway. It kind of works, and I?m not mad about it. It?s her wedding, if she wants the people to see the photos without going to Vogue, that?s her right. She did give Vogue an exclusive on some of the wedding details though. You can see Vogue?s piece here. Some highlights:
Vera Wang had promised to do Ariana?s wedding gown: At the Met Gala a few years ago, Ariana and Vera had made a very important pact: On fashion?s biggest night, Vera promised that when the time came, she would create Ariana?s wedding day look?and the iconic designer delivered.
The gown: A custom lily-white silk charmeuse empire waist column gown accented with a sculpted neckline, an exposed bra strap closure, and a plunging back. The dress was accessorized with a shoulder-length hand-pleated bubble veil with a sweet satin bow at the very top. Altogether, the ensemble, styled to perfection by Mimi Cuttrell, was reminiscent of the look Jo Stockton so famously wore in Funny Face. The bride also wore custom Giuseppe Zanotti platform heels.
The earrings: Pearl and diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz were chosen to match the bride?s engagement ring?with one upside-down (a nod to her aesthetic that started during the ?Sweetener? era) and the other right side up. The meaning behind this is significant to Ariana, as it represents appreciating the lowest or the ?upside down? moments in her life and how they have contributed to where and who she is now.
Styling: Her polished half-up hair and soft curls were the work of Josh Liu, and her natural makeup, with sculpted brows and a pretty winged liner, were done by Ash K Holm.
They said their vows in a room lit by candlelight: Ariana?s mother, Joan Grande, gave her away, although in real life she did so alongside Arianas father, Ed Butera, which was a personal high point and one of the most special moments for the bride.

It was smart for Ariana to aim for Audrey Hepburn rather than Cinderella-at-the-ball, you know? Ari?s style can sometimes go over-the-top, princess-in-a-ball-gown. I?m glad she went simpler, classic, old-school. The ?Audrey Hepburn? vibe works on Ari because she is so small and simpler styles look really good on her. Now, do I think her dress was the best thing ever? Not really, but she looked pretty and you can tell that she loved her dress. The veil suited her too.

The pandemic has brought out two extremes in celebrities. On one side, people who used to enjoy the limelight are now eschewing it for quieter, more lowkey vibes, sometimes because this past year was the first time they had a real break in a while (and they enjoyed it). The other extreme is the group of celebrities who seem to be bursting and demanding that people pay attention to them now. Think, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, etc. Ariana Grande seems to be the former, although to be fair, she was already starting to go more lowkey before the pandemic arrived. She?s grown up a lot from her donut-licking days and she settled down with Dalton Gomez about a year and a half ago. They weathered the pandemic together, and they got engaged last December. Now, surprise, they had a pandemic wedding!
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have tied the knot!
They got married, Grandes rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. It was tiny and intimate ? less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldnt be happier.
TMZ was first to report that the ceremony occurred at the couples home in Montecito, California. Both Ari and Dalton love Montecito. They spend a lot of time there, a source tells PEOPLE. It seems only natural that they would get married at Aris beautiful and historic house.
Grande, 27, announced her engagement to Gomez, a 25-year-old real estate agent, in December when she posted a photo of her ring along with the caption, Forever n then some. They started dating in January 2020 and spent the pandemic social distancing at her L.A. home.
They couldnt be happier, theyre just so excited. This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled, a source told PEOPLE at the time.

I actually didn?t know that Ari had a house in Montecito. I thought she had a place in LA and that?s where she and Dalton spent the pandemic. It?s possible she does have a place in LA and Montecito, obviously. And then she just did a small family wedding at her Montecito pad. Nice! I wonder if Meghan and Harry were invited? And Oprah, gotta invite Oprah. No, good for them. I?m very curious about her dress and I wonder if she will eventually post some photos. We got to see her ring and I still don?t like it. I can only imagine what princess-y ball gown she chose for her wedding.

Just before Christmas, Ariana Grande announced her engagement to Dalton Gomez. Ari and Dalton had dated throughout most of 2020 they were in the early stages of their relationship in March when they decided to go into lockdown together in LA, with several other people, all in the same house. In lockdown, their love grew stronger and they seem to be loved-up and happy. But will a quarantine romance still flourish post-corona? I don?t know. Ari?s friends don?t know either they think Ari and Dalton rushed their engagement.

I just think Ari is like Jennifer Lopez, she?s one of those ?I always need a boyfriend? women, and she?s always in a perpetual cycle of ?getting super-serious? and ?getting over a super-serious relationship by finding someone new to get super-serious with.? That being said, Ari isn?t a kid anymore. She?s 27 years old, the same age as Miley Cyrus, and just a year younger than Cardi B and Selena Gomez. Ari is two years older than Megan Thee Stallion! My point is that we don?t have to cover Ari in bubble wrap and try to save her from relationship mistakes. She?s a grown ass woman and she knows what she?s doing. Also: I don?t even consider an engagement after roughly ten months of dating (including living together) to be all that rushed?

Ariana Grande isn?t letting a few missed salon appointments get her down. With hair, skin and nail salons classified as non-essential businesses, most have closed, hopefully just temporarily. But like so many of us stuck-at-home, Ariana chooses not to see this as a challenge and to do it herself. She first took the opportunity to let her hair down, literally. Ariana Grande made one of the more dramatic entrances at the Grammys in this absolutely voluminous Giambattista Valli. She said her stylist, Law Roche (he also does Zendaya, Celine Dion and Jameela Jamil), cried when he saw her in it. This dress reminded me so much of the giant iconic Pink dress Rihanna wore to the 2015 Grammys so I checked and that was also by Giambattista Valli. I love it and I think Ariana is working it. Shes not working GV as much as Rihanna did, but thats a very high bar. I missed Rihanna last night but its been four years since she brought us a new album!
Also I read some criticism on Twitter of Arianas gloves. I agree she could have gone without the gloves. Ariana did a medley of her hits last night that was a little subdued, but I loved the sets, she had a whole rotating bedroom, and her dancers were incredible. Ariana was nominated in four categories, all of which went to Billie Eilish or Lizzo. Oh and she came with her parents, which was cute. Heres a side by side of Ari and Rihannas looks.
