Taking care of some media duties, Emma Stone was in the house for ?The Late Show with David Letterman? earlier today (August 3).
The ?Easy A? babe looked to be in good spirits as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater to promote her upcoming movie ?The Help,? due out on August 10th.
?The Help? is ?a look at what happens when a southern town's unspoken code of rules and behavior is shattered by three courageous women who strike up an unlikely friendship.?
Additionally, Emma?s flick ?Crazy Stupid Love? has been quite the box office success since it opened this past Friday (July 29th).

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Emma Stone was spotted at ?Conan? last night (July 26).
The ?Easy A? actress was in the house to plug her brand new film ?Crazy, Stupid, Love,? though she ended up talking about her family more than anything.
Emma told of her mother?s embarrassing behavior when she took her to the Golden Globes and sat next to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
?[My mom] was talking to them about their kids, which was really interesting and funny?she was, like, ?You know, you guys must be soooo tired, you two!? And then she?s leaning over me to Angelina Jolie! I was, like, ?Oh boy???

| Emma Stone's Giambattista Valli biscuit dust ruffle: lovely or ridiculous' | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Emma Stone?s vagina dust ruffle is the cure for the plague of little red dresses. The biscuit ruffle is courtesy of Giambattista Valli and it certainly is unique, right? I swear, there were more photos of Emma Stone, who seems to only have a smaller, supporting part in Friends With Benefits, than there were of Mila Kunis at last night?s FWB premiere. Here?s what I love about this: Emma is back to the ginger, and it looks great; the pink-red combination is better than I expected; Emma isn?t flashing anything inappropriate, nor does look like she?s trying too hard.
BUT! At the end of the day, it?s still a biscuit dust ruffle. It is a fancy, unnecessary, surprisingly fluffy and gigantic ruffle where no ruffle belongs. Why do designers put such unflattering additions onto their clothes? And why do otherwise slender, attractive women decide that they need enormous ruffles covering their biscuits? It adds weight to a part of the body that women want to look smaller. I still love Emma, of course, but this is a rare fashion miss for her. Still, she’s probably going to get more attention for this than Mila will get for her meh look last night.
UPDATE: Ah, I missed this story! Emma and Ryan Gosling…?
Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling strolled through the East Village Saturday evening after buying frozen yogurt at 16 Handles on Second Avenue. “They were walking together with yogurt in their hand,” a witness said. “They were both smiling and laughing. It was very friendly. A lot of people were looking at them.” A source close to Stone, recently linked to her “Spider-Man” co-star Andrew Garfield, insisted she’s “just friends” with Gosling, her “Crazy, Stupid, Love” co-star. Stone’s rep declined to comment. Gosling’s rep didn’t get back to us.
[From Page Six]
Honestly, I don’t think much of this as far as potential hookups go. I truly believe that Emma is dating Andrew Garfield, and she and the Gosdong are probably just friends. Plus, their movie comes out next weekend, right? Crazy, Stupid Love which I want to see.

| Emma Stone Has a Crush on Christina Hendricks, Open to Lesbianism | Added 13 years ago | Source: The Blemish |

In a new interview with The Advocate, Emma Stone talks about her big gay following, having a crush on Christina Hendricks and becoming a lesbian. Two of those things are very relevant to my interests.
Celebrity activism: I?m the least eloquent person on the planet, so I don?t know that I?d be the right person to speak out on anything. But that?s what?s so wonderful about good movies and writers: I can be a part of a project that says what I wish I could say. My ultimate goal is to continue doing movies with some sort of message that can make a change, like Easy A or The Help. Because that?s what good movies do for me: They teach me and bring injustices to my attention.
Strong female roles: Oh, I?m so flattered. The tomboy quality is probably coincidental just due to the fact that my voice hits male octaves most of the time. I don?t really think about it ? I just respond to what I read ? but I must be subconsciously drawn to women who, even if they don?t necessarily have their shit together, are secure within themselves and don?t need a man to fix them.
Girl crushes: Christina Hendricks. It?s a no-brainer. Everything about her does it for me. That?s my kind of woman.
Lesbianism: No, I don?t have a girlfriend. But who knows? You love who you love…In some friendships there?s so much love between two people that there?s just a fine line. Hey, I have girlfriends that I?m incredibly close to, and there?s definitely a fine line there.
Note that this interview was done by The Advocate so of course there’s going to be some pandering going on but that doesn’t mean I can’t imagine Emma Stone getting it on with another chick. Hey, I don’t walk through your fantasies wearing your mother’s panties with red lipstick smeared over my face so don’t ruin my fantasies with your “facts”. Go be a downer somewhere else.

| Emma Stone gets hot for other gingers, she has a crush on Christina Hendricks | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

One of our favorite gingers (after Michael Fassbender, Prince Harry, etc) is Emma Stone, and she?s got a great new interview in the new issue of The Advocate. Apparently, she has a big gay following, something about her being a tomboy and kissing cute boys that the gays want to claim. Oh, and she?s also done pro-gay movies written by gay writers. So, Emma is loved by the readers of The Advocate and she loves them right back. You can read the full piece here - some excerpts are below. My favorite parts are when she talks about how hot Ryan Gosling is and how her imaginary girlfriend is Christina Hendricks (ZOMG, ginger-on-ginger lesbian hotness!):
When did you become aware of your gay following?
When The House Bunny came out, and it was incredibly exciting. That support is profoundly important and moving to me, because you guys are the best. I grew up with a ton of gay friends and witnessed their struggles. One of the most wonderful things about doing Easy A was that we got to tackle issues that many gay teenagers face.
Did you anticipate the extent to which Easy A would resonate with the gay audience?
Our writer, Bert V. Royal, is gay, and these were issues that he had actually experienced growing up, so we knew that would resonate. But when the movie came out last summer, media coverage of gay teen suicides was everywhere. Because the movie came out right in the eye of that storm, the timing ended up being more relevant and poignant than we anticipated.
Who?s the most important gay person in your life?
I did a lot of theater growing up, and I was lucky to be raised in a family that was very accepting, so someone being gay was never odd or off-putting to me. I have a lot of wonderful gay friends, but one of the most formative men in my life is Max, who?s been my best friend since I was 11 years old. He?s the funniest human being on the planet, and he single-handedly taught me how to do improv. He also taught me what friendship is and what it is to truly know someone. Now we both live in New York, so we?ve been able to stay close for our whole lives.
Your character in The Help, ?Skeeter,? is a young journalist who exposes the injustices suffered by black housemaids in 1960s Mississippi. Do you also strive to use your creative power to speak out on socio-political issues?
I?m the least eloquent person on the planet, so I don?t know that I?d be the right person to speak out on anything.
In the Crazy, Stupid, Love. trailer, your character admires Ryan Gosling?s shirtless torso and says, ?It?s like you?re photoshopped!? Since you got closer to all that than most of us ever will, what else can you share?
Well, I got to touch it too, so I can confirm that he isn?t photoshopped at all. He put in all the hard work, and it will not disappoint you.
Instead of boy-crazy girly girls, you often play these strong, independent women with an edgy tomboy quality, which has certainly endeared you to lesbian fans.
Really? Oh, I?m so flattered.
Are you a tomboy or a girly girl in real life?
It depends on the day. I?m a solid party mix of both.
A lesbian role seems like a logical next step for you.
Right? Send me over a good script. That sounds amazing.
Which gay star would you play in a biopic?
Can I play a man? Anthony Perkins would be interesting, because it was kind of a secret thing.
When you guested on Chelsea Lately, Chelsea Handler asked if you had a girlfriend when you evaded her question about having a boyfriend. You responded sarcastically, but I got excited for a second.
No, I don?t have a girlfriend. But who knows? You love who you love.
Do you have a girl crush?
Christina Hendricks. It?s a no-brainer. Everything about her does it for me. That?s my kind of woman.
Like her, you?re a natural blonde who?s found fame as a redhead. Were you surprised by the brouhaha on the blogosphere when you went back to blonde to play Gwen Stacy in next year?s The Amazing Spider-Man?
It was so funny. To me, hair is hair ? you dye it, cut it, whatever ? so all that attention was wild.
It gets confusing for a guy who might want to dress as you for Halloween.
Damn it. OK, always stick with red ? that?s my advice to a drag Emma Stone. I may be a blonde at roots, but I?m a redhead at heart.
[From The Advocate]
I love her. So, so much. ?I may be a blonde at roots, but I?m a redhead at heart.? Sassy little thing. Now, who else is having a little ginger sex fantasy starring Emma, Christina and Michael Fassbender? OMG. Hot gingers, mixing it up. Jesus, that?s a good fantasy. Now throw in Prince Harry. Good lord.

Clearly enjoying her time off from what's been a year of non-stop filming, Emma Stone was spotted out and about this afternoon in West Hollywood, CA (June 30).
The "Easy A" actress showed off her darling smile as she sported a white top with jeans while chowing down on a refreshing yogurt treat.
Recently opening up to Vanity Fair about being followed by paparazzi now that her stardom has risen, Emma recounted a story involving one of the constantly present shutterbugs.
She told, ?(The paparazzo) stands up while I?m walking to my car and is like, ?Hey, Emma! Listen, I?m going to delete these pics. Here?s my card." She continued, "If you ever go to the beach with your friends or walk out of your house in your pajamas, call me.??
Not wanting to buddy up with the camera-toting businessman, Miss Stone then said, ?He?s like, ?But I?m deleting these pictures, see?? These guys try to strike up a deal with you so you feel like they?re your friend. I didn?t even know that was a thing?that people would call them.?

Emma Stone did an interview with Vanity Fair and she seems like a pretty cool girl. She still sounds modest and uncomfortable/ignorant about fame which makes her endearing. Enjoy it while it lasts because that coke habit will come soon enough.
On fame: ?Sometimes people recognize me,? Stone says of her public profile, ?but they?re more like, ?Oh, hey!?? – Probably because people start getting her confused with Lindsay Lohan and aren’t sure who she is, only that she’s famous.
On paparazzi: ?He stands up while I?m walking to my car and is like, ?Hey, Emma! Listen, I?m going to delete these pics. Here?s my card,? Stone recalls of a recent encounter with a paparazzo. ??If you ever go to the beach with your friends or walk out of your house in your pajamas, call me.?? Stone, confused, refused his card. ?He?s like, ?But I?m deleting these pictures, see?? ? These guys try to strike up a deal with you so you feel like they?re your friend. I didn?t even know that was a thing?that people would call them.? – Wow. What a big favor. You deleted photos of her walking to her car. She owes you her life now. Does this ever work?
On personal details: Stone, who rarely tweets and shut off her Facebook account after she ?got addicted to FarmVille,? admits to Wolfe that she is still grappling with certain aspects of being in the public eye?dating, for one. ?Talking about this stuff is pretty new,? Stone, who won?t say if she is single or not, says of being asked by the press about her personal life. The actress concludes that ?the only solution I?ve come to when it comes to things like that?the health of my family or dating, really personal things?is not to talk about it.? – Ok. But how will I know who she’s having sex with? I and the people MUST KNOW!
On Hollywood pressures: As for the pressure in Hollywood to stay thin, while Stone allows that ?I?m definitely more conscious of it as I?ve gotten older,? she says that she has not succumbed to extreme celebrity fad diets. ?That diet, have you seen it?? Stone asks of the popular trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson?s recommended diet. ?It?s like: Eat this diet, which is a palm-size piece of chicken and some beans, and work out two hours a day for the rest of your life.? – That’s what all the fatties say.
Stone goes on to describe how she got into acting. That she dropped out of high school, moved to LA, worked in a dog bakery cooking inedible treats for canines and jokes about an addiction to black tar heroin. Oh, and she talks about the time, in the middle of her audition, she overheard how she lost out on the part of Claire Bennet on Heroes to Hayden Panettiere.
Stone tells Wolfe that she still remembers what she considers her hardest Hollywood moment, an audition for NBC?s Heroes. ?I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ?You are our pick ? On a scale of 1 to 10 you?re an 11,?? Stone recalls, before Hayden Panettiere?who ended up with the role of Claire Bennet?walked out of the room. ?I went home and just had this meltdown,? Stone says, calling the experience ?rock bottom.?
That may have been a blessing in disguise. Compare Hayden Panettiere’s career to Emma Stone’s career. Hayden did four years of Heroes and then a couple movies including Scream 4. While Hayden was doing that, Emma was in Superbad, The House Bunny, Zombieland and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Easy A. Now she’s playing Gwen Stacy in the new Spider-Man movie. I’m pretty sure in the grand scheme of things, Emma is the big winner.

I like Emma Stone. I don?t know much about her beyond the handful of interviews I?ve read, and thus far, I haven?t really gotten a major feeling on her personality. She seems kind of dorky and self-aware, professional and humble? so far. She seems ?real? - but this is an industry where ?real? is often the product of some hardcore machinations and image-making. What am I saying? I want Emma to remain this wise, dorky, professional, sweet and funny girl for as long as she can, but I?ll understand it if she falls off of the pedestal I?ve put her on. For now, I?ll enjoy her. Emma is the August cover girl for Vanity Fair (how wrong would it be if Emma?s cover was followed by a Blohan cover?!?). In the interview excerpts VF released, Emma sounds? awesome. She even mocks the Tracy Anderson ?diet?. I love her!
?I micro-manage,? Emma Stone tells Vanity Fair writer Alexandra Wolfe. ?I think I?m a Type A personality who?s trying to convince herself she?s Type B,? the actress says, admitting that she still lays out her clothes and sets her coffee-maker for the morning the night before.
Stone, who confesses she was nervous for her V.F. bikini cover shot, saying, ?I usually wear a one-piece,? jokes that her only vices are sugar, wine, and black-tar heroin. ?That?s pretty much it, the heroin, the sugar, and the wine?nothing too crazy.?
?Sometimes people recognize me,? Stone says of her public profile, ?but they?re more like, ?Oh, hey!?? As Stone?s star rises, however?the actress will appear in The Help, Friends with Benefits, and Crazy, Stupid, Love this summer?so does the presence of the paparazzi.
?He stands up while I?m walking to my car and is like, ?Hey, Emma! Listen, I?m going to delete these pics. Here?s my card,? Stone recalls of a recent encounter with a paparazzo. ??If you ever go to the beach with your friends or walk out of your house in your pajamas, call me.?? The actress, who rock-climbs at Chelsea Piers in New York City, even admits that weight training and Pilates with Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield ?brings out anger in me.?
Before her breakout role in Superbad, Stone had dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting, enrolling in online classes and working part-time at a dog bakery. ?I think three people called my specific cookies inedible to their dogs,? Stone said with a laugh. ?I?m not a super-talented dog baker.?
Stone, however, insists she has no regrets. ?I did Superbad in what would?ve been my senior year,? she says. ?I was playing a senior, and had I graduated I would?ve missed that opportunity, and had I missed that opportunity I wouldn?t be here right now.?
Stone tells Wolfe that she still remembers what she considers her hardest Hollywood moment, an audition for NBC?s Heroes. ?I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ?You are our pick ? [From Vanity Fair]
I think that?s why Emma seems ?real? - she remembers hearing the word ?no?. Probably because she was hearing it so much just a few years ago. Too many of these young actors, they don?t remember ?no.?
When Emma spoke about her love life, did anyone else get a flash of Andrew Garfield and Emma having hot sex? I did. I want them to be a real couple - just because my idea of them together is really, really hot.
Anyway - congrats to Emma on her first Vanity Fair cover! I can?t say I love the cover shot, but I like that VF is recognizing a young talent (instead of a dead celebrity, or Linnocent).

| Us Weekly: Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield 'have been hooking up' | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
I called this. Kind of. When the news came out several weeks ago that Andrew Garfield had dumped his TV Girl girlfriend because he had become so famous, I suggested Emma Stone for him. Andrew and Emma are costarring together in The Amazing Spiderman, but beyond that, it just seems like they would fit well together, aesthetically and personality-wise. Sidenote: I also suggested Mila Kunis for him, but that was before I know that both Emma and Mila had dated Culkins. Odd, right? Anyway, my boyfriend Andrew (I had a really explicit dream about him, and now he is my beloved) is officially ?with? Emma now. So, so cute.
Web-slinging sweethearts! Production on The Amazing Spider-Man wrapped in May, but the love story between costars Emma Stone, 22, and Andrew Garfield, 27, is far from over.
“They got close during filming and have been hooking up,” a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands now). The new couple decided to keep things quiet, the source adds, because Garfield split with his girlfriend of three years, Raising Hope actress Shannon Woodward, in May.
(Stone recently parted ways with Kieran Culkin, 28, her beau since last fall.) “They haven’t gone public, but he’s told his friends,” the insider says.
Sparks definitely flew between the costars at the MTV Movie Awards on June 5. First, the pair flirted throughout the ceremony (he was seated behind her). Then, at the afterparty, she squealed when she saw him — and they chatted for another 20 minutes!
[From Us Weekly]
Hm? I do wonder if there was some cross-over between Andrew?s relationship with Shannon Woodward and the beginning of his thing with Emma. But I won?t focus on that. Emma and Andrew just suit each other so well - both are up-and-coming actors with critical acclaimed performances, both unafraid to aim for true movie-stardom.
Lainey compared them to Sparkles and Kristen Stewart, which I find absurd, mostly because Emma Stone is a gracious, professional, stylish, talented young woman who stands up straight, doesn?t compulsively bite her lip, nor roll her eyes when approached. As for the Andrew/Sparkles comparison - uh, Andrew can ACT. Sparkles can do alright (meh), but in the coming years, Andrew is going to be up for Oscars and SAGs, while Sparkles will plateau at MTV Movie Awards.

| Emma Stone in Elle Mag: 'I sucked my thumb until I was 11' | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

As you know, I really like Emma Stone. I prefer her as a ginger, but I didn?t hate it when she went blonde (presumably for her role in the Spiderman reboot). She?s the July cover girl for Elle Magazine, and it seems like they did the photo shoot before she went back to ginger. Which is fine. But she?s a really attractive young woman, and these photos? well, how difficult is it to take a really flattering photo of her? I didn?t even recognize the cover shot - she looks like Rachel McAdams smelling a fart. There are better photos of her in the Elle slideshow, which makes me wonder if she pissed someone off at Elle for them to use this bad, neckless shot for the cover. Anyway? her interview sounds charming too:
On having braces and wearing glasses while growing up: ?And I sucked my thumb until I was 11, so I had this expander in. I was a good-looking kid. I never felt, like, dorky. I was just like, ?Yup, these are my braces. I?ve had them forever.??
On not being recognized as easily in public with her new look: ?I mean, I haven?t been around very long. I can?t expect everyone to have seen The House Bunny. Oh God. I am having such waves of internal embarrassment, which now I?m admitting on a tape recorder. This is so one of the things I should keep in my head.?
On her obsession with Farmville: ?I got to level 42, and I wasn?t doing anything else anymore, so I had to stop.?
On taking up baking in part to control her nervous energy: ?It?s very controlled. You know, if you put in the same amount of whatever is in the recipe, it will come out all right.?
On her career: ?It?s so funny how different life could have been. I went to so many auditions. I remember my audition for Heroes. I went in right after Hayden Panettiere. Now here we are in this rented house. It feels like it just happened.?
On wanting to be believable in her roles: ?I like to look like a person. It drives me crazy when you see women in movies playing teachers, and they have biceps. It totally takes me out of the movie. I start thinking, Wow, that actress playing this part really looks great!?
On declining to talk about her relationship with her former boyfriend, Kieran Culkin: ?You have to keep some things sacred??
On whether celebrity relationships have a shorter shelf life: ?I don?t think that?s true. Maybe. But there?s a fair amount that do work?.I?m optimistic.?
[From Elle]
She?s so funny. I giggled several times just reading the excerpts. ?I can?t expect everyone to have seen The House Bunny.? Classic. Especially considering too many of her contemporaries go on and on about how famous they are and how devastating it is being so incredibly famous. Emma is such a breath of fresh air.
Also - I had no idea she dated Kieran Culkin! It?s not even something I knew at one point and forgot. I never knew it. What the hell? I wonder if Emma, Kieran, Mila Kunis and Macaulay ever double dated. I imagine Mila and Emma would get along really well. That friendship needs to happen!
