Surprisingly enough, this W Magazine photo shoot was not done by Terry Richardson. Shocking, right? No, Emma Stone was photographed by Juergen Teller for the February issue. Teller is best known (to me) for those minimalist Celine and Marc Jacobs ads that seem sort of anti-glam. So he brought his anti-glam sensibilities to Emma Stone, and here is the result. She looks washed out, tired and drawn, and the styling in a WRECK. I guess this is ?high fashion? or a very editorial look. I hate it. Her Gangster Squad character: ?Grace Faraday, who moved to Hollywood in the ?40s to become a star and ended up falling in with Mickey Cohen, a very well-known gangster, and his brood. Grace is also having an affair with Jerry Wooters, portrayed by Ryan Gosling. He?s one of the cops investigating Mickey Cohen. Grace is playing with fire?she?s constantly torn, caught in that classic conundrum between good and evil.?
Dramas versus comedies: ?In real life, sometimes it?s uncomfortable for me not to go for the joke. I?ve been looking at that in myself lately. Often, joking for me is a way of diffusing the awkwardness of a situation, so it?s kind of exhilarating to be a part of projects where there?s nothing funny or lighthearted.?
Presenting with Ben Stiller at last year?s Oscars: ?It was for best visual effects, so Ben and I had all these funny ideas. Planet of the Apes was nominated, so we thought we would bring a chimp onstage and I?d say, ?Oh?it looks so real.? And Ben would be like, ?It?s a real chimp.? And I?d be insisting, ?Oh, my God?the work they do now is so staggering.? And he?d repeat, ?It?s a real chimp.? But apparently, you can?t make the Oscar presentation about a particular movie or else the audience thinks you?re swaying the vote toward that movie. So instead, we pretended that Ben had been to the Oscars many times and I was this really overly enthusiastic Oscar presenter. I was very excited, and he was not?. Though a lot of people thought it was something else: When I came offstage, they were saying, ?You were so drunk!? And I wasn?t. Not until after??
Going to her first Oscars: ?At first, when you go to premieres and award shows, you?re thinking, How the hell am I here? All these people I?ve never met are here, and it?s so cool! And then, as time goes on, it?s a little bit like, Ah?it?s more like work. There are only a couple of events where I?ve truly felt, That was an awesome night?and the Oscars was one of them.?
The movie that makes her cry: ?The end of City Lights makes me cry every time I see it?when Charlie Chaplin walks by the shop window and the once blind girl brings him a flower and pins it to his lapel. She?s always thought that he was a millionaire, but he was really a tramp. She feels his hand and says, ?You?? And he nods. He says, ?You can see now?? And she says, ?Yes, I can see now.? They cut back to his face, and he lights up like you?ve never seen. That last line??Yes, I can see now??has so many meanings. It?s echoed in every great romantic movie since then and in every great moment of life.?

God, I almost cried just reading her describe the Chaplin film! But I?m PMSing, so maybe that?s it. On Wednesday, I burst into tears during Pres. Obama?s gun control speech too. As soon as he started talking about the 7-year-old girl named Grace who died at Sandy Hook and he said, ?She loved pink? she loved the beach? she wanted to be a painter?? I had to stop eating my lunch to have a good cry. Ah, PMS. Does anyone else cry during the news these days?

Getting ready to dish on her latest work, Emma Stone dropped by "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday (January 8).
The 24 year-old actress made a stunning arrival to the stage in a form-fitting little black dress and matching heels as she sat down talk about her new flick "Gangster Squad."
Speaking of her newest film, co-star Ryan Gosling recently opened up about reuniting on the big screen with his former "Crazy Stupid Love" cast mate.
"I guess we thought, you know since we had such a great time on Crazy Stupid Love, this will be a blast, but we had to be serious in this movie, which was very hard for us," Gosling told the Tribute, adding, "And you know, once you?ve bit a knucklehead in front of somebody, it?s kind of hard to pretend you?re Humphrey Bogart or somebody.?
"Gangster Squad" is set to hit theaters this Friday (January 11).

Last night was the huge LA premiere of Gangster Squad, which? I?m actually kind of worried about as a film. It has a huge, sprawling cast and it looks okay in general, but I?m worried that there?s not going to be much of a market for a shoot ?em up gangster film set in the 1940s-1950s. If you want to see a great film about that era of gangsters and the LAPD, you really should just watch LA Confidential because OMG does that film stand the test of time.
Anyway, this post is just devoted to the few actresses who appear in this mostly-dude film. Emma Stone was the It Girl of the carpet in this red Lanvin cocktail dress and gigantic statement necklace. Even though I?m not crazy about the look, she (or her stylist) put the look together very well. The necklace works well with the simple dress without anything getting overpowered. Oh? it looks like the necklace is a Lanvin piece too. Interesting.
Should we talk about the blonde hair and the bangs? I miss her as a redhead so, so much. I will not accept that she?s a natural blonde because the ginger just suits her so much better. As for the bangs? ugh. I can?t.
Also at the premiere: Mireille Enos (the ginger from The Killing) in Emilio Pucci. The dress is meh, but she looks pretty. I like that she?s trying. I also love that she?s married to Cameron from Ferris Bueller?s Day Off.

Cuddling close on their walk back to their vehicle, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were out and about in Beverly Hills on Friday (December 21).
The 24-year-old actress looked cute in a tan jacket, scarf, black pants, and flats while her "Amazing Spider-Man" costar and boyfriend looked festive in a red shirt, gray cardigan, and green pants.
In January, you can see the "Easy A" star play a gangster's moll in the upcoming crime drama, "Gangster Squad."
The Ruben Fleischer-directed flick also stars Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Anthony Mackie, and Nick Nolte.

Emma Stone reportedly made a sex tape with an ex-boyfriend several years ago, and the only reason it’s not already making the rounds on the interwebs is because her ex is holding out for a bigger paycheck. Radar Online says:
“Emma Stone has a sex tape and that’s a fact,” the source [close to the actress said].
“She made it long before she started dating Andrew Garfield, and before she really became a household name. She was just young and… thought nothing would ever come of it.”
“The tape remains in the hands of the person she made it with,” the source said. “But that doesn’t mean there’s any guarantee that it won’t eventually hit the market. The higher Emma’s star rises, the more valuable that tape becomes.”
Please. Emma Stone is way too boring to have a sex tape. This story is about as believable as her accent in “The Help.” Somehow, I have a feeling Jim Carrey is the one behind this.

Starting off her week with a good workout, Emma Stone made her way to Winsor Pilates in West Hollywood, CA on Monday (November 5).
The ?Easy A? actress looked casually cool in black yoga pants, a dark coat and Ray Ban sunglasses as she made her way out of the studio.
Though Emma was out solo for her sweat session, the 23 year-old joined up with her ?Spiderman? boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, for some fun activities this weekend.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, on Saturday the Hollywood lovebirds joined other A-listers including Christina Hendricks and January Jones, to check out the resting places of former famous faces during a Cemetery of the Stars tour.

After spending an afternoon at a friend?s home, Emma Stone was spotted getting back into her car in Studio City, CA this afternoon (October 29).
The 23-year-old donned a grey sweater with ultra-skinny jeans and sandals on the bright Monday afternoon outing.
In career news, it was just announced that Bradley Cooper is slated to join Miss Stone in a new romantic flick by Cameron Crowe.
With these two actors as the leads, it?s sure to be promising. Not to mention the fact that Crowe lead Hollywood hits including ?Almost Famous,? ?Jerry Maguire,? and ?Say Anything.?

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield get pap?d often enough ? somewhere in between Kim Kardashian (on a seemingly daily basis) and Michael Fassbender (very rare to see candid photos of him). I?m estimating? Emma and Andrew probably get spotted by paparazzi maybe twice a month, if that? Something along those lines. I know from reading Emma?s interviews that she sometimes feels hounded by the paparazzi, like they?re ever-present and insufferable, but I tend to like the way Emma and Andrew have handled it thus far ? they don?t seem to be posing or doing strategic photo-ops, but they aren?t going out of their way to avoid being photographed together either. It really does seem like they?re just living their lives while in a relationship, all while being pretty famous (her more than him, for whatever reason).
Anyway, Emma and Andrew were pap?d on Saturday in New York. New York is their home base, and I?d be willing to bet they share an apartment. They were out to lunch, and realizing that the paparazzi were waiting for them outside, they decided to use this week?s coupley photo op to good use. They made signs and held them out to the photographers. Emma?s sign read: ?We just found out that there are paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in, So why not take this…” and Andrew?s sign completed the thought: “Opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it? www.wwo.org and www.gildasclub.org, Have A Great Day!” They?re supporting Worldwide Orphans Foundation and Gilda’s Club. I don?t know? I?m erring on the side of thinking this is smart, and a completely legitimate way to handle being photographed. They?re making lemonade out paparazzi lemons. Good for them.

Keeping her blonde tresses refreshed, Emma Stone was spotted leaving Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood, CA on Wednesday (August 29).
The 23-year-old actress rocked skinny jeans with brown booties and a white tee as she strutted back to her ride, trying to avoid the swarms of photographers.
As recently reported by GossipCenter, ?The Amazing Spider-Man? star opened up about past relationships to Interview magazine.
When discussing a brutal breakup, Miss Stone said, ?I was crawling on the floor. I remember throwing up. Like, within the hour (of the break-up). I remember being on the floor? I have never felt anything quite like that. It was so visceral. It?s like someone has killed you and you have to live through it and watch it happen? It was awful.?
Luckily, Emma regained her strength and is currently dating her "Spider-man" co-star Andrew Garfield.
