What did Blake Lively wearing to Comic-Con? Satin harem pants and a blouse that shows off most of her breasts, of course. The nerds are definitely going to be seeing The Green Lantern now. Sure, they were excited about seeing it before, but now they know that Blake?s amazing (purchased?) boobs will be heavily featured. Ryan Reynolds looks okay too, I guess. Is it just me, or does his skin always look funky in candid photos? I think he fake-bakes, and it looks especially weird on him. Plus, he was making a lot of dorky faces, probably trying to fit in with the nerds.
Ryan Reynolds says he took the title role in “Green Lantern” to play a hero that can “throw a punch, tell a joke and kiss a girl.”
The actor, along with castmates Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong and director Martin Campbell, presented a clip from the film at Comic-Con Saturday for some 6,000 ecstatic fans, many of whom camped out overnight for a chance to see the presentation.
Campbell says the 3-D movie blends realistic action with humor and an otherworldly trip to the planet Oa, home of the Green Lanterns. He added that while the hero’s costume is “a work in progress,” his cinematic story is set: He is joined by his fellow Green Lanterns for a face-off against Parallax, whom Reynolds describes as “the physical manifestation of fear in our movie.”
The clip showed Reynolds as Hal Jordan, who, after a fight with street thugs, takes the Green Lantern oath and uses his new powers to blow them away. Reynolds recited the oath for the Comic-Con crowd, which rewarded him with cheers.
The cast seemed to embrace the Comic-Con energy, and revealed which characters they’d dress up with if they could walk the convention floor. Reynolds would go as a Wookie because he likes to “be cute and dangerous.” Lively would dress as Harry Potter and Sarsgaard would go as Captain America. Strong said he’d dress as his “Green Lantern” character, Sinestro.
DC Comics chief Geoff Johns hinted that other Green Lantern films, and a Justice League movie, could follow: “The success of ‘Green Lantern’ will lead the charge for everything DC does.”
“Green Lantern” opens in June of next year.

Damn, it sounds like they?re really putting the future of comic book franchises on Ryan?s shoulders. Can he hack it? I don?t know. But I was reading some additional ocverage, and it really does sound like he was selling it, hard. He even name-dropped his famous wife, telling the audience that what with ScarJo playing The Black Widow in Iron Man 2, ?We’ve had some strongly worded dinners? we’ve probably got a lot more comic books lying around than your average married couple.?

Pairing up for a day of Comic-Con promotions, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds turned up at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California on Saturday (July 24).
The "Gossip Girl" hottie showed off a little more skin than usual in a low-cut, white, sleeveless top with black pants as she joined her hunky co-star in taking part in a "Green Lantern" panel discussion.
With fellow movie mates Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong as well as director Martin Campbell also on hand, Ryan dished on why he loves the "Green Lantern" character, saying, "He could throw a punch, tell a joke, and kiss the girl. I couldn't figure out who wouldn't want to play that for a movie...or maybe two or three."
Meanwhile, Blake received quite the applause as she announced to the packed audience, ?I?m excited to go to the Harry Potter panel next!?

Ending the week with a day on the set, Blake Lively was spotted arriving for her ?Gossip Girl? duties in New York City on Friday (July 16).
Coffee in hand, the Serena van her Woodsen actress and her precious little pup turned up just ahead of the day?s shootings for the hit CW show.
With Season 4 approaching, the cast has been hard at work as of late - last week they filmed for several days in Paris, France and now they are back in the Big Apple plugging away.
In other news, Ms Lively has two upcoming films - the first one is ?The Town? with Ben Affleck coming out this September and the second one is ?The Green Lantern? starring Ryan Reynolds which comes out next summer.

Braving the summer temperatures, Blake Lively was spotted on the set of ?Gossip Girl? in New York City today (July 15).
The ?Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? actress donned a black and white gown as she filmed scenes in the outdoor locale.
As for her ?Green Lantern? gig, Blake told press things are very physically demanding, so it?s no wonder costar Ryan Reynolds is on the injured list.
?The fights are close and dirty. I'm 40 feet in the air, spiraling around. That's the best workout you can ever do because it's all core. You do that for ten minutes and you should see your body the next day! It's so exhilarating, so thrilling, and nauseating."

The Serena Van der Woodsen actress and her Blair Waldorf co-star seemed to be getting along quite well, which comes contrary to reports that the pair have been feuding.
Of the supposed bickering babes, an insider told Us magazine that Blake and Leighton have ?been fighting since last season."
The Us insider continued to erroneously tell, ?Their rivalry stems from Leighton feeling left out of wardrobe decisions.?
Saying that this just isn't the case, a close friend of both Leighton and Blake tells Gossip Cop, ?There is no truth" to the report, adding that the CW co-stars get along just fine.

Adding a little color to the streets in Paris, Leighton Meester and Blake Lively were looking glamorous while partaking in "Gossip Girl" filming duties on Avenue Montaigne on Friday (July 9).
Having been situated in the French locale over the past week, the Blair Waldorf babe and her Serena van der Woodsen co-star busily shot scenes on the last day of filming in the City of Lights.
As for their often over-the-top ensembles, Leighton recently admitted that they can sometimes be a bit embarrassing.
She dishes, "It's fun to dress up, much better than having boring clothes, but it can be challenging because I know I have to walk down the street in a ball gown sometimes."
Continuing on, Miss Meester tells, "People point at me and say 'Who is that crazy person?' I just have to try and ignore it."
As for the new season of "Gossip Girl," you can catch all of the action when the Upper East Side gang returns on September 13, 2010 at 9/8c on The CW.
