Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter stepped out last night in New York City they went to dinner at La Esquina. As an old-school fan of Arrested Development, I have to ask my fellow AD peeps: doesn?t it look like Miley?s face is saying ?I made a huge mistake?? I?m getting that vibe. Honestly, though, maybe I?m projecting my own thoughts it could be that Miley was trying to just get through the crush of paparazzi and she didn?t look sad or mad or happy or anything. Do you think Miley has some regrets about what went down? And are those regrets softened by how much attention she?s getting for her jumpoff relationship with Kaitlynn?
Everyone?s talking about how Miley and Kaitlynn ?coordinated? in their black ensembles. Ah, to be young, blonde and fashionable, and to have it be a headline that you and your girlfriend are both wearing black. Personally, I really dislike Miley?s styling lately the bangs are a tragedy, but her whole ?stringy wet look? hairstyle is just the worst. Miley?s outfit isn?t too bad I actually love the coat and the trousers. I would wear the fk out of those trousers. Miley went to the Tom Ford show on Monday I wonder if part or all of her ensemble is Tom Ford? As for Kaitlynn, she just looks like she?s trying to fit in with whatever Miley wants. Good luck to Kaitlynn, because Miley cycles through personas and looks very quickly.

I kind of love how Miley Cyrus?s strategy to make Liam Hemsworth jealous sort of blew up in her face. She?s so immature she was so clearly trying to get under Liam?s skin when she announced their split and then posed for some makeout photos with Kaitlynn Carter. She spent the next week trying to blame the split on Liam (because he?s moody and he drinks, maybe) and at the end of the day, Liam is just hanging out with his family in Australia. That?s where he?s been this whole time. Liam isn?t providing anyone with daily updates on his state of mind. But Miley can?t help herself. So, just FYI: Miley wants us to know that she?s FINALLY focusing on herself these days. For real.
Miley Cyrus is moving on. Days after the singer announced her separation from Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus released a heartbreaking new ballad titled ?Slide Away? that seemingly reveals her side of their breakup. Despite the scorching lyrics, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively the star, 26, ?isn?t trying to hurt? her estranged husband.
?Her song was her way of telling her story without having to say anything at all,? says the source. ?She isn?t trying to bash him, but she wants to be able to share what she?s been going through.?
Cyrus is continuing to spend time with her longtime friend Kaitlynn Carter, 30, following their PDA-filled Italian getaway, and insiders say she?s trying to focus on herself after a trying few months.
?Miley is doing okay,? says the source. ?It?s a relief the [breakup] news is out publicly so she can live her life and focus on herself.? Adds another insider: ?Miley doesn?t talk about Liam much and is not dwelling in the past. She doesn?t want to hide, and her mood has changed drastically. She seems much more relaxed and happy.?
Both 29-year-old Hemsworth ? who remains in his native Australia ? and Cyrus are leaning on loved ones, and despite her sadness over the split, the singer feels it?s ?the right decision,? adds the source. ?She just wants them to both be as healthy as possible.?

That song was absolutely part of her immature plan to get under Liam?s skin, and she so clearly laid the blame at his feet lyrically. The fact that she keeps insisting that she dumped him for all these reasons? well, I?m starting to wonder if it really went down like that at all. I?ve been saying that it feels likely that Miley and Kaitlynn were having a full-fledged affair. Miley having a guilty heart might explain things. As for ?focusing on herself? she?s always been focused on herself. She?ll try to change up her personality/persona to suit Liam for a time, but let?s be real she?s always focused on herself and what she?s doing. I dont blame her for being career-focused and self-obsessed, but dont act like its a recent thing.

Miley Cyrus?s rep announced her split from Liam Hemsworth two weekends ago, while Miley was on vacation in Italy with Kaitlynn Carter, who recently got out of a fake marriage to Brody Jenner. Within a day of the split announcement, Miley and Kaitlynn were making out for the paparazzi, and they?ve been inseparable since. There are various tabloid stories about how Miley and Kaitlynn have been happening for a few months, which I tend to believe you don?t go from zero to 60 overnight, out of nowhere. Miley and Kaitlynn were happening on some level for a while before we learned about them. In the past week and a half, they?ve basically moved in together, Miley?s mom has met Kaitlynn, and now we?re hearing about how they were basically having sex at Soho House. Classy.
Kaitlynn Carter?s all in on the Miley-high club. Hours after dropping ?Slide Away? ? her dewy-eyed ballad presumably about her breakup with husband Liam Hemsworth ? Miley Cyrus was ?basically having sex? with Carter, at Soho House in West Hollywood on Friday, Page Six is told.
?They were obsessed with each other. They couldn?t keep their hands off each other,? said a spy. ?They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There?s no question they?re together.?
A day after the ?Wrecking Ball? singer and her actor husband announced that they were splitting after less than a year of marriage, pictures appeared online showing Cyrus and Carter canoodling on a boat on Lake Como in Italy. But until now, it wasn?t clear if the pair are an item or whether that was a one-time hookup.
?They were making out all over the place, and didn?t care who saw,? said the spy, who was left in no doubt about their itemhood. We reported that Hemsworth was ?devastated? and ?blindsided? by the Como shots. Reps didn?t comment.

What?s funny/strange is that for the past week, Miley?s people have gone from ?this breakup is Liam?s fault because he?s moody and he parties? to ?Miley thinks they?ll get back together in a few months anyway.? Kaitlynn seems like the jumpoff, for sure, but Kaitlynn also seems like a very intense fling for Miley. Like, it?s something Miley needed to get out of her system and they?ll burn out in a few months and then Miley thinks she?ll go back to Liam. I?ve been seeing a lot of, like, feminist critiques of the Miley Cyrus situation, which I don?t really understand. It was the same with Kristen Stewart when she cheated on Robert Pattinson people really made the stretch to make it sound like K-Stew?s infidelity was some kind of overarching feminist act (when it was really an act of self-sabatoge). I acknowledge that one can be a feminist and a terrible wife/girlfriend/partner, but the way I look at the Miley stuff is so far from ?well obvs this needs to be seen through the most feminist lens ever!? Imagine if Liam Hemsworth had his rep announce the split and then within 24 hours, he was kissing another woman on vacation, and the other woman happened to be someone he?d known for a long time and likely been having an affair with. Miley would have gotten so much sympathy. And when she did that to Liam, of course he?s the one getting sympathy. It?s not really about feminism, it?s about who ?wins? the optics of the breakup. And Miley ain?t winning it.
I feel like Miley knows she?s not winning it too. That?s why she?s been running to TMZ and People to tell her side of the story. Again, people would have been more sympathetic to her side if she wasn?t making out with her jumpoff, Kaitlynn Carter, two seconds after everybody learned about the split. Maybe Miley is trying to come at it from another angle though: she stepped out this weekend with mom AND her jumpoff. Oh, Kaitlynn.
Saturday turned into a girls? day out for Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter. The duo, who recently packed on the PDA in Italy, were joined by the singer?s mom, Tish Cyrus, as they grabbed lunch in Los Angeles.
Dressed in a white T-shirt with a printed skirt and white sneakers, Carter, 30, was photographed near Tish, 52, who paired her jeans with a gray top. Miley, 26, was also spotted in the passenger seat of her mom?s SUV in separate images. The outing comes a week after Cyrus announced her separation from husband Liam Hemsworth. Carter also recently split from ?The Hills: New Beginnings? star Brody Jenner.

Kaitlynn is the one in Pink pants in these photos. I?ve always sort of liked Tish Cyrus she?s not a perfect mom, but she?s messy in an authentic way, and my guess is that she?s a bit worried about how Miley looks, PR-wise. So Tish is giving her stamp of approval on the jumpoff publicly. It is what it is. I desperately want to know when is the Miss Manners-appropriate amount of time to wait to introduce your mom to your side chick-turned-official though. Is it a week? Or should you wait longer?

As we discussed yesterday, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are over. Considering their breakup and makeup history, many of you think that they could possibly get back together at some point. I agree they seem to go in cycles depending on what persona Miley is trying on in any given month. She did the country-girl/hippie-wife thing for a couple of years but as we?ve seen from her interviews this year, she seemed to be feeling confined by that persona. All of which means that no one was really ?surprised? by Miley and Liam?s split.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth?s decision to split after less than a year of marriage may have caught fans off guard, but those close to the couple weren?t taken aback.
?This split isn?t shocking to people who are actually with them every day,? a source tells PEOPLE. ?After they reunited, everyone thought they were this ?perfect? couple, but they still had a lot of issues. They?re not on the same page when it comes to a lot of fundamental things that make a relationship work,? the source adds. ?It?s not surprising at all.?
Hours before Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 29, confirmed their split, the singer was photographed kissing Brody Jenner?s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter in Italy, where the pair are vacationing together alongside the singer?s older sister Brandi. Cyrus cuddles and kisses 30-year-old Carter ? who recently announced her split from Jenner ? while the pair lounge poolside in photos obtained by Entertainment Tonight. A source told PEOPLE exclusively that Cyrus and Carter have mutual friends in common and are ?just having fun? together.

I suggested yesterday that it sort of feels like Miley dumped Liam and ran off with Kaitlynn, and that maybe Miley and Kaitlynn are together now. I don?t know if that?s true, but it certainly seems like that?s what they want us to think. As for the split not being a surprise for people who know them? yeah. I wonder if Liam was getting tired of all of Miley?s bold pronouncements in interviews, some of which might have taken him by surprise.

I actually DID believe that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus found happiness with each other after so many years. The Malibu fire brought them closer together, and after all their breakups and makeups, they found stability and a more mature kind of love. And? it didn?t even last a year. They got married last December. And now they?ve separated.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called it quits less than a year after tying the knot.
?Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,? a rep for Cyrus tells PEOPLE in a statement. ?Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what?s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. Rumors of a split between Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 29, began on Saturday, after the ?Mother?s Daughter? singer posted a photo of herself on Instagram in which she was not wearing her wedding ring.
?Mute me if you don?t want SPAMMED,? she captioned the post, which featured Cyrus sitting in a chair while wearing a black bustier top with a matching pair of black pants. Although Cyrus is not wearing her wedding ring in the image, she is wearing multiple bracelets and necklaces. The photo was taken while Cyrus vacationed with Brody Jenner?s ex Kaitlynn Carter in Italy ? a trip which took place just one week after PEOPLE confirmed Carter?s split from Jenner after a year of marriage.

In the wake of the split, people are saying that two issues contributed: one, Miley recently talking about how she didn?t want to have kids because she didn?t want to contribute to the negative impact on the environment and secondly, Miley?s utter uniqueness at being the ONLY pansexual/bisexual woman to ever be in a heterosexual marriage. While I think the childfree issue was probably a slow-burning one which would have contributed long-term to the end of their marriage, I kind of think Miley might have cheated on Liam with Kaitlynn Carter. I think that?s what she?s telling people with these Instagrams Miley left Liam for Kaitlynn. Kaitlynn left Brody Jenner for Miley. And I can?t wait for Miley to talk about how she?s the first woman in history to ever leave her husband for another woman.

This post is a follow up to almost everything I brought up in Monday?s post about Miley Cyrus? new EP, She is Coming. First off, I mentioned that the phone number she listed on the condom cut off when called and that I thought there was a missed opportunity for Miley to promote one of her many charities, like Planned Parenthood. Fortunately, Miley was one step ahead of me and her next merchandise partnership does, in fact, serve double duty as promotion and charity. On Tuesday, Miley announced her collaboration with Marc Jacobs on a hoodie, the proceeds of which will support Planned Parenthood:

Someone on E! News said that Miley Cyrus was a million times more ?camp? during her Bangerz period than she was last night at the Met Gala. They made a good point back then, she was a buffet of kitchy excess and pop culture madness. For the Met Gala, she went pure ?80s in this Saint Laurent ensemble. I sort of understand what she was attempting: campy ?80s villain in a teen movie, right?
Zoe Kravitz in Saint. Laurent. I mean? I get what she was going for, but I think she could have done way better.
Demi Moore in Saint Laurent. Not camp at all. Not really trying to be.
Shawn Mendes in Saint Laurent. Just think of how he really could have camped it up, instead we get this sort of boring faux-Elvis look.
