As we discussed a few weeks back, Miley Cyrus covers the October issue of Elle Magazine. The interview is a whole lotta Miley, so if you do read the full piece, you better strap in and get your bong handy. Which is exactly what Miley did before the interview ? she tells the Elle interviewer a ?detailed story about the blunt she said she smoked on her way to meet? said journalist. I also learned some new stuff from High AF Miley ? she no longer employs a publicist (shocking), she doesn?t have a makeup artist on The Voice set (she does her own makeup) and she thinks she?s very, very anti-Establishment. She tells contestants ?not everyone can be Mariah Carey?: ?I’ve never really been a fan, because it’s so much about Mariah Carey. That’s part of her shtick; I can see through that. That’s part of what makes her a gay icon; like, it’s about Mimi! It’s about what she’s wearing, and it’s about her. What I make isn’t about me. It’s about sharing my story; it’s about someone being connected to what I’m saying?That’s why you don’t see me, like, on the sides of buses, selling sh-t. I mean, what am I going to do?sell makeup? Mostly, I tell people, Don’t wear makeup.?
An extended riff about makeup: ?Today, I only have makeup on because Joan Jett had eyeliner on yesterday, and we all think Joan looks so cool that I copied her. I don’t really [wear makeup] for the contestants, because some of these girls come from f–king Arkansas with cake face on. Like, I don’t want these kids to come out here and wear a bunch of makeup. I mean, I cover my zits, but besides that, I don’t really wear it. And Alicia [Keys] doesn’t really wear it. But she’s got a makeup artist and I don’t. Yes [I do my own makeup], girl! This is my kit! People are like, “Oh, I want to make your eyes almond.” I don’t have almond eyes! Why are you trying to change my eye shape? When someone changes your face, it’s really shocking and scary.?
The ?Hannah Montana? money: ?I just wanted to be on TV. I mean, at one point?they’ll probably kill me for saying it?I was probably the least paid person on my cast because I didn’t know any better. I was just like, I can be on Disney! Yeah, I want to do it! My name was Miley on my show, but I didn’t own my name?we didn’t think about that. Like, Yeah, you can use my name on your show, sure! My mom started understanding how many people take advantage of a child, so she hired smart people to protect me in that way. I’m happy that when I was younger, people protected me and put me in a position where I can now control my music.
Her foundation, Happy Hippie, and what that means: ?I relate so much to it. It’s very strange, because I’m not sexually confused in any way. I’m very much?the word is pansexual. That just means everyone. It doesn’t stop at girl, boy, or if someone’s in a transition. I don’t see people ever for who they were before who they are right now. I think of who I was before who I am right now; that’s a transition in itself. Everyone is constantly transitioning. When there’s a thing you have to do, you have to do it.?
Hugging Woody Allen: ?I went to White Plains, New York. Do you know where that is? I adopted a weird cat named Harlem and just lived in a White Plains apartment by myself and went to Whole Foods with my main gay every day. Working with Woody was the best experience. He’s just being Woody. He’s, like, not doing it, putting it on. When I met him, the first thing I did was give him the biggest hug, and I’m in sparkly cowboy boots and a bucket hat with rainbows sprouting at the top of it, and he’s like, “Oh. Oh. Wow, hi.” He kind of pushed me off, like, Ayyy?get off me!

The shade of it all! First she came for Mariah and I said nothing. Then she came for Alicia Keys and I laughed my ass off. At the beginning of the Mariah quote, I was like ?this isn?t that bad,? but the way she ended? yeah, she thinks she?s better than Mariah because she, Miley, is more ?real? somehow. But is this the real Miley, or is this just one persona of a little brat who still doesn?t know who she is? I don?t know. As for Alicia Keys: ?And Alicia [Keys] doesn’t really wear it. But she’s got a makeup artist and I don’t.? Hahaha. Alicia made such a BFD about going ?makeup free? and as it turns out, Alicia demands a makeup artist for The Voice.
As for her pansexuality? is she even explaining it the right way? I?m trying to be non-judgmental, because I think there is a need for more vocal sex-positivity in the world. I guess I just don?t want Miley to be the messenger of that message though.

Miley Cyrus covers the October issue of Elle. You know why? Mostly because she?s one of the new judges on The Voice. She also talks about the miniseries event with Amazon, where she was directed by Woody Allen. I don?t really know what to say about Miley at this point? She?s still with Liam Hemsworth, and she even mentions him in this interview. I don?t know if they?ll get married, but I do know that Miley seems to be making an effort to chill out and calm down for Liam. I think if he breaks up with her again, she?ll probably be twirling her tongue in our faces non-stop again, but who knows? As for this Elle interview? she gives me a headache.
She?ll advise her contestants on The Voice to ?Be Bernie Sanders?: ??I don?t want this to come off the wrong way, but I?m going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders. Be the person people want and love. Don?t worry about the masses. That?s how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it.?
Her role in Woody Allen?s new Amazon series, Crisis in Six Scenes: ?I?m playing this ?60s revolutionary. Woody plays someone who grew up in the suburbs of New York. He?s got an ice cream machine, and I?m like, People are starving and you?re sitting here making ice cream?! That?s my thing [in real life]. For a long time, I couldn?t sleep because I just felt so guilty. I was covered in rashes because I was so stressed. Even today, I dropped my water on my hike and felt like such an a–hole. There are children being sold into sex slavery; how can I go on a hike right now? So now I try to do as much as I can through Happy Hippie.?
She?ll never do a red carpet again: ?[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that?s red? Because I?m ?important?? Because I?m ?famous?? That?s not how I roll. It?s like a skit?it?s like Zoolander.?
Snapchat & Pokmon Go: Is she on Snapchat, ELLE asked? ?No. I want to be. I don?t know how to use it. I feel like I?ll be an old lady that?s too held back, because I don?t keep up with it. I?m not on Pokmon Go. [This morning] Liam woke up and tried to go to the car wash because it was a?what do you call it??PokSpot. Like, ?Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!??

This is something I don?t understand about celebrities ? ?I couldn?t sleep because I just felt so guilty. I was covered in rashes because I was so stressed.? Then do something else? It?s not that hard. If you care so much, if you care to the point where you?re getting stress rashes, then go volunteer as an aid worker or devote your time to a charity for homeless people. Or is not really about that, because you just want to be seen as being so virtuous and above it all? You won?t walk a red carpet because ?people are starving,? but you?ll appear on the cover of Elle WHILE PEOPLE ARE STARVING? See how that works? You can say that about anything, but at some point it just becomes your ?I?m so virtuous? platitude. How can you eat breakfast when people are starving? How can you drive to work when people are starving? How can you work with Woody Allen when people are starving? How can you own 20 dogs when people are starving?
And how can she tell contestants to be super-likable and Bernie Sanders-esque when people are starving?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are not getting married? this summer. The on-again, off-again couple (who technically has yet to confirm their engagement), had an entire honeymoon in Bora Bora with flights and hotels lined up that they just cancelled – because Miley decided she didn?t want to go there. After scrapping their small summer wedding, they are now supposedly planning a ceremony in fall. ‘Planning’ being the operative word since as yet, nothing has been planned to anyone?s knowledge. With no location or date, we are back to square one with this mythical wedding.
Miley Cyrus can?t stop changing her mind. The ?Wrecking Ball? singer recently canceled flights and lodging for a honeymoon in Bora Bora with fianc Liam Hemsworth, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
?They had the entire trip planned, but Miley just decided she didn?t want to go there anymore,? explains a Cyrus insider. ?They have yet to pick a new locale.?
It would help if they stuck to a wedding date. After scrapping the idea of a small summer beach ceremony in Australia, 23-year-old Cyrus ?is still very erratic with her decision-making,? adds a pal.
Their new plan, says the source, is to marry this fall ? destination unknown.
But there?s one decision the new coach on NBC?s The Voice hasn?t wavered on. ?Miley is pretty adamant about having a small, private ceremony,? says the insider. ?But Liam wants a really big wedding, so I?m sure they?ll come to a compromise.?
Hemsworth opened up about the split and their rekindled romance in a recent interview with GQ Australia. ?Of course it was hard, man,? the Independence Day: Resurgence actor, 26, said in the magazine?s June/July issue. ?But we were both going in different directions and it?s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time ? we both needed that.?

So I was wrong, Miley is the one who wants the small wedding and Liam wants a splashy affair. I am a little confused, they cancelled their honeymoon but were there not wedding plans to cancel as well? Or were they going to marry in Bora Bora and stay on for the honeymoon after? Could you imagine being on this wedding?s guest list? It would be daily texts with new instructions, ‘Hey! Grab your suit and Tahitian dictionary ? we’re going to Bora Bora in August!’ ‘Put your suit away and pack hiking shoes, it?ll be Yellowstone in the fall.’ ‘Do you have a snowboard and an oxygen tank?’
Is this back and forth a stalling technique? I?m not sure; they were all smiles and affection on Friday when they went for a lunch at Bui Sushi in Malibu. Liam doesn?t have any new projects on his IMDb. Miley completed her Woody Allen series for Netflix, Crisis in Six Scenes, and premiered as a coach on The Voice last night but I don?t think schedules are a factor in their plans ? neither seems to have any. Personally, I think they should grab a Justice of the Peace and find a scenic cliff at midnight and throw a huge bash later. That is, assuming that everything is fine and that they’re still planning to get married.
