Miley Cyrus is about to go on tour, y’all! Here’s a photo of her riding a giant hotdog during her Bangerz tour rehearsals. I still can’t believe she’s scoring $500,000 per show. Live Nation is going to lose so much money on this deal. Miley is selling this tour hard. She’s been worried whether people will show up, and she should be concerned. Miley already gave the cow away for free, you know? Not that she’s a cow. I meant she’s already shown her whole body for Uncle Terry and all of VEVO.
Miley hits Vancouver for her first tour date on Friday. I just checked some ticket sites, and there are plenty of tickets left for the taking. No one wants to spend their Valentine’s Day watching twerking teddy bears. Oh well. Miley is still pimping her wares. She did an interview with Fuse TV, which is now hosted by her sister, Brandi Cyrus. Yep. Here are some highlights:
Please buy tickets for your kids: “I want to make things look high-end, like something you would see on Madonna’s tour, but just make it feel a lot more young. Even though parents probably won’t think this, I think my show is educational for kids. [Brandi laughs.] They’re going to be exposed to art most people don?t know about. People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in like small towns. I’m excited to take this tour to places where [art] like this wouldn?t be accepted, where kids wouldn?t learn about this different kind of art, so it’s really cool.”
She’s done with boyfriends: “So I’m like kind of nervous to perform in front of my friends and stuff. It’s dope that my friends actually want to come to my show and not just going to my show because they’re my friend, but it makes you like nervous. I’m not inviting any boys. Boys are banned from life.”

Miley also talks about how her show will feature an acoustic section “to make people look past the shock value.” Speaking as a semi-fan of Miley’s recent Unplugged episode, that’s a decent idea, but it won’t work in an arena setting. I do have to laugh at Miley thinking her show will be “educational” to young children. She’s trying to court her former Disney fans, but her argument is weak. Perhaps before the internet, Miley could make a case for small towns being less exposed to “art.” Now even the smallest crevices of Oklahoma have seen Miley riding her wrecking ball. I mention Oklahoma because I live here, and Miley probably doesn’t understand why she’s bothering to stop by Tulsa on her tour. She probably thinks we’re all rodeos and teepees.
Miley is also the latest star to field a viral prom invite. She politely declined the young man’s invitation but did invite him to visit her backstage when she hits his Arizona town.

After Miley’s raunchy twerking at the VMAs last August, there was some behind-the-scenes fallout concerning Miley as a fashion darling. I think Miley still considers her VMA act a win. She got all the attention for weeks on end! The trade off is that Miley lost all of the goodwill she gathered up at last year’s Met gala and with a decent couture spread for Harper’s Bazaar. Anna Wintour was not impressed with Miley’s gauche VMA antics. Miley really wanted to promote Bangerz with a glorious bang, but word on the street was that Wintour yanked all plans for Miley’s December Vogue cover. It’s easy to imagine the truth of this rumor. Miley could keep her “white trash and Chanel” vibe all to herself because Wintour wasn’t having it on the cover of her fashion bible.
Several months have passed, and Miley’s received a consolation prize of sorts: a cover for German Vogue. The photoshoot is titled, “Blonde Angel,” which (as CB tells me) is a Marlene Deitrich reference. I don’t think Miley’s consciously aiming for Deitrich at all. She’s going for Marilyn Monroe all the way. That’s what all of the starlets do! It’s such a transparent tactic. The weird thing is that Miley’s pulling it off. I mean, she’s pulling off a Madonna-level imitation of Marilyn. It sort of works, right? Then Miley whipped out her rack and distracted us all from whatever Mario Testino was trying to accomplish.
This isn’t all of the risqu Miley imagery for the day. A new outtake from crazy-eyebrow W magazine shoot has surfaced. The photo shows Miley topless in bed with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. You can see that photo here.

Then there’s this. Following up on yesterday’s shot of her topless in W comes another picture she tweeted where she’s lying topless in bed with two dudes. She might as well just walk around topless from now on. There’s no point in being demure anymore.

A leaked cover ofWmagazine featuring Miley Cyrus made it to the internet. At least that’s who people say it is even though the girl on it looks nothing like Miley Cyrus. Are you sure that’s her? It looks more like Amber Heard. Yea, the tattoos match up and she is half-naked which is Miley’s preferred state of being, but maybe they pasted someone else’s face on her body. That’s got to be it.

We talked yesterday about how Madonna joined Miley Cyrus onstage for Miley’s “Unplugged” episode. The general consensus was that Madonna was only looking for attention. Even moreso than Miley. The special aired last night, and … it wasn’t bad at all. I mean, Madonna sounded terrible when she sang (no question), which made Miley look good in comparison. The stripped down stage production also suits Miley more than her usual grand spectacle of crying emoji cats and sand dunes. The reviews coming in are also surprisingly good (Time magazine loved the show).
Even though Miley twerked on a (fake) horse and grabbed her crotch a few times, her voice sounded better than it has in a long time. Miley embraced her country roots although I’m not sure if she was simply making fun of them: “I tried to bring a little bit of Nashville here tonight.” The horse and Miley’s checkered red cowgirl outfit and bobbed wig are probably a good indication that Miley is having fun with all of us. Whatever the case, this show was a welcome change from Miley bending over to show us her lady parts. She also shared a great rapport with her audience by joking how she feels like she’s “at karaoke” and how “there’s nothing I can complain about. Well, I can’t be stoned when I perform – that’s a little something to complain about.” See? Miley’s making fun of herself.
Let’s get the worst of the show out of the way right now. Madge joined Miley onstage for a medley rendition of “Don’t Tell Me/We Can’t Stop.” Miley grinds her crotch against Madonna’s booty and adds a few spanks for good measure. Madonna needs a permanent vacation.

Here is Miley Cyrus performed during the 56th Annual Grammy Awards… she just wasn’t part of the actual awards show.
Instead of taking the stage, the 21-year-old “Adore You” singer entertained fans by sharing an exclusive “performance” picture and video via Twitter and Instagram.
Cyrus opened her set with the upbeat “Get It Right,” which didn’t earn a rousing applause. She said to the crowd: “I hope y’all feel better than y’all look. Maybe this song is better for this crowd.” Then she sang Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”
