Here’s a promo picture of Miley with Barbara Walters during the filming of the very last edition of Most Fascinating People. The episode airs Wednesday night. As you can see, Miley got actually dressed (in clothes, not pasties) for her big interview. She went subdued with the hair and makeup, and her tongue isn’t hanging out all over the place (at least in this photo). How discombobulating.
I’m sure the full interview will contain many references to twerking and the VMAs, and maybe Miley will offer to show Barbara how to twerk. Surely she’ll be more respectful to Barb than she was to Matt Lauer (even though Lauer had it coming). Here are some highlights from the upcoming special:
Miley Cyrus, 21, and Liam Hemsworth, 23, were together for four years and announced their engagement in 2012, but the couple confirmed in September that they had called it quits. While she loved Hemsworth, Cyrus said, she believes she can now “actually be happy” on her own.
“I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had this entire year. I don’t ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like without them you can’t be yourself,” she tells Walters.
“I don?t think I realized what 19 truly is, and I got engaged at 19, and I definitely wouldn?t change being engaged,” she said. “It was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years,” Cyrus said, “But now, I just feel like I can actually be happy. I wait for those moments of silence, when I?m just at my house, by myself.”
Several tracks on the pop singer?s latest album, Bangerz, refer to love. In the song “Drive,” Cyrus crones the lyrics, “I was crazy, thinking you were mine. It was all just a lie,” but denied there was anything false about her and Hemsworth?s relationship.
“I don’t think there was any, any lies,” she said.
When asked whether she ever wanted to be married and spend the rest of her life with someone, Cyrus said, “I think I’ll want that in the times that it needs to be.”

This interview is going to be hilarious. Miley is flat-out lying about loving to be alone. Either that or she’s forgotten about how she tweets up a storm about being bored and so depressed whenever there’s no one around to amuse her. I think she’s just trying to sound wise in this interview because it’s Barbara Walters, and it’s a fairly transparent ploy. But I could be wrong. Maybe Miley has really grown up in these past few weeks.

In a show of support for Free the Nipple, Miley Cyrus flashed her boobs on Twitter over the weekend. Granted, she covered everything up with stickers so the message was diluted a bit and, unfortunately, it made her look a little like Justin Bieber. All I’m saying is this could have turned out way better than it did.
If you didn’t know, Free the Nipple is a movement which argues that if men are allowed to go topless in public, women should be afforded the same right without fear of being arrested for indecency.

The ?Party in the USA? will ring in the New Year in New York City with a live performance on ?Dick Clark?s New Year?s Rockin Eve,? hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Cyrus tweeted, "Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans. [ Ryan Seacrest] asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!"
Seacrest also confirmed the gig on ?Jimmy Kimmel Live?- "We just added Miley Cyrus to be in Times Square right before the ball drops. We try to look for the artist that's created a lot of buzz and had a really big year."

Celebrating the holiday season with a bunch of her fans, Miley Cyrus took the stage for the 101.3 KDWB Jingle Ball in St. Paul, Minnesota last night (December 10).
The controversial ?Can?t Be Tamed? singer donned a red leotard and belted out a hit-laden set as the crowd went nuts at the Xcel Energy Center.
Earlier this week, Miley was named MTV?s Best Artist of 2013 and it?s no surprise given how much craziness she caused at both the 2013 MTV Video Music Award and the MTV European Music Awards.
Additionally, Cyrus? page over at MTV?s Artists section received the most visits of any celebrity over the past 12 months.
Given such accolades, it will be interesting to see how Miley tries to top herself in 2014!

To no one’s surprise Miley Cyrus grinded her booty against Santa’s crotch at Friday night’s Jingle Ball. We made an editorial decision to not show the video of the performance because it’s slightly NSFW. The act arrives with backup dancer thong intact. If you’re interested, you can see it here. What do you think of Bad Santa? The guy inside the costume is Cheyne Thomas, Miley’s BFF/assistant/enabler. Miley twerked a little bit on him, and she sang into a candy-cane microphone. I was really distracted by her furry Chanel handbag. Why did she wear that thing other than to emphasize her white trash and Chanel style motto? The bag was too big and kept flopping around and getting in the way of her “dancing.” I guess I should just be happy it was blocking the general view of her hairless crotch area.
Speaking of hair, Miley showed off a new ‘do on Saturday night and duly Instagrammed a photo:
You can see a better picture of the bob here. I think there’s a fair chance that this is mostly Miley’s real hair when brushed down. Those may be clip-on bangs, but I think her hair is grown out enough for this bob style. I’m not loving it.
