Here is an honest-to-God question: how dumb is Jennifer Lopez? Honestly, I always thought she was probably pretty smart, at least with her business interests and with how she presents herself to the public. But I think Jennifer is really dumb in other ways – she surrounds herself with sycophants and yes men (exception: Benny Medina) and God knows, she has HORRIBLE taste in men. So at what point can we actually say ?Wow, Jennifer Lopez is not all that bright??
As you probably know, Jennifer is currently loved up with Facial Challenge (Casper Smart). Casper is 25 – Jennifer will be 43 in July. It?s actually not the disparity in ages that bothers me. It?s the disparity in the careers, their life stories, their goals, their ambitions, their money-making prospects. Casper is a backup dancer who just hit the jackpot – Jennifer gives him an allowance just for being with her, and Jennifer has allowed Casper to ?choreograph? and ?direct? some of videos, performances, etc for her latest singles. With Jennifer?s new tour this summer, Casper has been telling people that he?s been promoted to ?lead choreographer? of the tour (although most of the professionals working on the tour say that he?s only one of several choreographers). Well, what did J.Lo buy her boy-toy this week? What new job title does Casper-Wasper get? Who?s a good boy? WHO?S A GOOD BOY?
Casper Smart is capitalizing on his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. After he was promoted to be one of the choreographers on Lopez?s tour, we hear J.Lo just sold a reality show to Oxygen based on Smart.
Sources say it will follow Smart as he whips her other backup dancers into shape for the tour. The show is expected to focus solely on Smart and Lopez?s professional relationship.
It has already been picked up as a series. An Oxygen rep had no comment.

My first thought was ?Wow, that will be so embarrassing if they break up before the show even airs. Classic J.Lo.? But really, I?m not even saying that they?ll break up any time soon. First comes the allowance, then comes the job title, then comes the reality show. And then comes marriage. Because Jennifer really is that dumb.

Looking to spruce up their wardrobes, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart were spotted doing some retail therapy at The Grove in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (May 20).
The ?Waiting for Tonight? songstress and her hunky boyfriend hit up the Zara boutique and emerged with several full shopping bags a short time later.
Over the weekend, J. Lo?s new movie ?What To Expect When You?re Expecting? hit theaters to a disappointing $10.5 million in sales.
Still, Lopez was in good spirits Saturday night, tweeting, ?Goodnight LOVE!RS!!!!! Hope you have sweet dreams and a beautiful Sunday. xxoo?

These are some new photos of Jennifer Lopez and Facial Challenge shopping at The Grove in LA over the weekend. I?m not going to get all bitchy about Jennifer?s outfit, mostly because I think she and Casper were enjoying a low-key moment and I absolutely believe that celebrities do not have to be ?ON? all the time. That being said, Jennifer knew she and Casper would be photographed, and she chose this ?casual? outfit specifically with that in mind – look at the way she put together her whole ?look?. The jumpsuit is just terrible, isn?t it? Hammer-pants are not flattering on anyone, but they?re especially awful on a woman with a curvier figure. Think about this – how much cuter would this have been if Jennifer had worn a maxi dress?
Another (minor) irritation – I don?t like Jennifer and Casper Smart?s body language. It feels like she walks behind him a lot, like he?s leading her around. Part of it chivalry, sure – he holds the door for her, he opens her car door, he puts her purchases in the trunk and he drives them away in her car. I would make a joke about how he acts like her assistant, but honestly, it feels more like ?This is my lady, I?m going to take care of her.? It bugs me because? well, Jennifer is a huge star and Facial Challenge is just some dumb kid. They?re not equals in any sense.
By the way, I still don?t know for sure if Jennifer is leaving American Idol. Last week, it was widely reported that she was seriously considering leaving of her own volition because she?s just too busy now. There were also rumors that she was being pushed out by producers, and there were other rumors that this was all a big ploy by Camp Lopez to get even more money. I do know that it?s looking more and more like producers really want to keep her, so they?ll probably offer her a crazy amount of money? and then we?ll see.

Jennifer Lopez still hasn’t decided whether or not she’s returning to American Idolciting a busy schedule, a major concert tour with Enrique Iglesias and kids to take care of. But you can just chalk that up to a negotiation tactic that’s working. Sources inside Fox say the network is like a battered housewife who doesn’t want to let her go.
This is all amusing since it was Idol that reignited her career. Whatever though. She’s in the latest edition of Vogue where she poses in a bikini and swimsuit. Take a minute for that to sink in. Jennifer Lopez who was close to being pushed into irrelevancy a few years ago is now on Vogue. Her turnaround was bigger than the one John Travolta did when he found out his masseuse was going to be a girl.

Hot on the heels of being named Forbes’ Most Powerful Celebrity of 2012, 42-year old Jennifer Lopez has decided to leave the show that single-handedly resurrected her floundering career and landed her endorsement deals with both L’Oreal and Gillette. So why pass on another twenty-million dollar American Idol paycheck? Two words: Enrique Iglesias. Seriously. Us Magazine says:
This summer, [Lopez] will embark on a 20-city tour of the U.S. and Latin America with Enrique Iglesias with dates that conflict with Idol’s pre-taping schedule; she’s also in the midst of recording a new album [and] numerous film projects… including a role in this summer’s Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.
Passing on twenty million for Enrique fucking Iglesias? He doesn’t even have the mole anymore! At best, you’re looking at one, maybe two mil for him on the black market. That’s a little too much risk and not enough return if you ask me.

Jennifer Lopez, on Ellen with her co-star Cameron Diaz, hinted she wouldn’t be returning to American Idoland that two years of the show may be enough.
“I really do enjoy it,” she said after telling DeGeneres she wasn’t sure what her future on “Idol” might be. “Now this is my second year — I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they’re getting more mobile, they’re about to go into school … So I just don’t know.” MTV
Oh, shut up, Jennifer Lopez. Of course she’s returning to Idol. Especially now that Jennifer topped Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list that they released today.This is probably her trying to negotiate now that she saw that Britney Spears is making $15M for X Factor.
A few years prior, she was fading into obscurity. As Forbes explains, “Her albums, like the all-Spanish Como Ama una Mujer, failed to find the broad audience she once enjoyed. Her movies, like El Cantante, flopped.”
In 2010, American Idolturned all that around for her. The exposure gave her a worldwide audience to market her music to and garnered her an endorsement deal with L’Oreal and Gillette. I mean, if she wasn’t on Idol, who’s she going to push out of the way to steal the spotlight from?

She?s always looking for ways to expand her empire, and Jennifer Lopez was spotted launching her new fragrance Glowing at Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles yesterday (May 10).
The ?On The Floor? songstress looked marvelous as she posed for the press, celebrating ten years of sexy scents with the Coty company.
And it was a busy day for J Lo, as she was also seen on stage as a musical guest on ?American Idol? with her new single ?Dance Again.?
Lopez was introduced by her fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, and joined by her boyfriend Casper Smart and a bevy of hunky backup dancers.

God, there are like twenty-million contradictory Jennifer Lopez-Casper Smart stories in this week?s tabloids. I think it?s because What To Expect When You?re Expecting is coming out (today) and Jennifer has been talking about babies, naturally. So the tabloids have used Jennifer?s baby-talk to imply that BABIES are totally on her mind in her relationship with Casper Smart, to disastrous and widely varying results. First, the official version of ?Where Casper and J.Lo?s relationship is right now? from People Mag:
When it comes to her boyfriend Casper Smart, Jennifer Lopez gets the royal treatment.
“He treats her like a queen,” a source tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “Casper centers everything on Jennifer.?
Dating six months, the fast-moving couple ? Smart moved into the Hidden Hills, Calif., mansion that Lopez shares with her 4-year-old twins Max and Emme at the start of the year ? haven’t let their 17-year age gap slow them down. (She’s 42; he’s 25.) Still, some friends wish that the wedding-loving superstar ? who split from singer Marc Anthony last summer ? would take things slowly for a change.
A Lopez family source says some members of her inner circle “worry that Casper will take advantage of her. She has fallen so hard.”
But the American Idol judge, who recently announced her plans for a summer tour that Smart will help choreograph, seems just fine with her reputation as a commitment-happy kind of woman. At a recent press conference for her upcoming film What to Expect When You’re Expecting, she laughingly summed up her view on love: “I’m a bit of a romantic, if you hadn’t noticed.”

Casper has also convinced Jennifer to get rid of some of her longtime staff members at her CA mansion, but only after he insisted that all of the staff ?call him Mr. Smart and demanded that Jennifer?s assistant Gilly get him drinks.? As for babies? well, The Enquirer giveth and The Enquirer taketh away. They claim Jennifer is hell-bent on having more babies and Casper is all, ?I?m only 25, yo.? (Which is exactly what he sounds like.)
Jennifer Lopez is desperate to have more children before it?s too late, but her toyboy lover is telling pals: ?I?m too young to have kids!? At nearly 43, J.Lo?s biological clock is ticking loudly. And the mom of two?s surprising confession about expanding her family during a recent interview caused shock waves in her relationship with 25-year-old Casper Smart.
?Casper?s got absolutely NO interest in becoming a father,? said an insider. ?he freaked out when he read Jen?s comments, and it forced a very awkward conversation between them. He had to know if she was serious about it, because it?s certainly not part of his agenda for at least another 10 years. Casper told her he?s too young to be a dad and needs to focus on his career right now.?
Jennifer explained that her quotes were misconstrued – she told Casper that she only said that it would be a ?blessing? to have more kids, said the insider.
?Clearly she is trying to ease her young lover into the idea of being a father,? continued the insider. ?Casper tried to be gentle with her about the subject, but he made it clear that fatherhood isn?t even on his radar yet.? A source close to the situation says Jennifer was ?secretly devastated? by Casper?s reaction.
?Jennifer knows she can?t wait another 10 years to have more kids. And besides, she?s got all the help in the world, so it?s not like kids would get in the way of Casper?s career.?
Now pals are wondering if this issue could signal the end of the couple?s romance. ?She?s no spring chicken,? added a pal. She knows she hasn?t got much time left if she is going to have another baby.?

I don?t even know where Jennifer?s head is these days. Would she really try to have a baby with Casper? My gut says no. My gut says Jennifer isn?t all that interested in having any more babies, but she can?t say that while promoting a movie about the joys of pregnancies and motherhood. Of course? I could see her adopting, actually. So? that?s always a possibility. As for Casper – I can?t imagine that he would so anti-baby. Surely he knows that if he and Jennifer have a kid together he?s set for life, right? That?s the male golddigger?s dream too.
