Ooooh, here?s a really good explanation for why Casper Smart was not around this week while Jennifer Lopez promoted Parker in New York City. This might also explain the major discrepancy between how Jennifer looked at the Golden Globes versus how she looked at the post-Globes parties. The theory ? posited by Star Magazine ? is that when Jennifer Lopez sat in the audience of the Globes and watched her ex-fianc Ben Affleck win Best Director, it triggered a major crisis in J.Lo?s delicate psyche. In one crashing, awful moment, she realized that Ben was married to a lovely, successful woman and he was happy and the industry loves him and Jennifer also realized that she?s dating a gross-looking backup dancer whose last gig was probably as some kind of gay gigolo. BOOM!
Jennifer Lopez is putting on a brave face while promoting her movie, Parker, telling the world that she has ?no regrets? about her love and career choices, but close pals say that after watching Ben Affleck accept a Golden Globe for directing Argo on January 13, Jennifer suddenly found herself in the middle of a midlife meltdown.
?Ben winning that award really hit her in a weird way,? confides a friend. ?She used to brag that she?d win an Oscar by the time she was 45, and that doesn?t seem likely. Plus, her music career isn?t what it used to be.?
Nor is her love life. Jen, who has been dating 25-year-old backup dancer Casper Smart since 2011, couldn?t help but feel pangs of envy as Ben glowingly thanked wife Jennifer Garner and their three children during his speech.
?Ben?s wife is very successful and respected in the industry and J.Lo can tell that she and Ben are very happily married,? the source explains. ?Then she looked at her own relationships: she?s dating a backup dancer who?s nearly half her age and riding her coattails.?
Casper may be youthful, but seeing her ex so fulfilled was a wakeup call for Jenny from the block.
?Jennifer acted happy for Ben that night ? but the truth is, she became very embarrassed about her own life? her loved ones are worried and constantly tell her she should give herself more credit, but Jennifer is really in the dumps.?

If it makes Jennifer Lopez feel better, Jennifer Garner barely works these days, and while Garner?s well-liked within the industry, I get the feeling that there are some people who are really tired of her daily pap-walks and the Affleck-Garner Oscar Campaign. And if it makes Lopez feel better, someone should definitely tell her about Ben and Blake Lively (allegedly!). Of course, that?s still no excuse to stay with Casper. But I just don?t buy that J.Lo is THIS self-aware. I mean, this is the woman who exhaustively praises her own ?elegance? because she packs her own bags and combs her kids? hair. FOR REAL. This is not a woman who has a crisis of conscience when she sees an ex-lover succeed.

These are some photos from last night?s NYC premiere of Parker, that Jennifer Lopez & Jason Statham movie which Jennifer has already compared to Out of Sight (spoiler: it?s not like Out of Sight). Unfortunately, we only have street photos of J.Lo going into the indoor premiere ? my guess is that it was originally supposed to be a premiere with an outdoor press line in which everyone could snap photos of Jennifer in her cream Lanvin dress, but it?s SO COLD on the East Coast this week, all of the ?fashion photos? were done inside (and we don?t have access to them, so go here to see). I think Jennifer looks great in this white/cream coat ? it?s not the most flattering thing ever and you can tell she?s desperate to show off her body, but I bet it?s warm. Her hair looks particularly good here too, right?
Interestingly enough, Casper Smart was not at the premiere. Neither was Jason?s girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, but she was around for the after-party and Jason rarely brings her to his premieres, so her absence made sense. But Jennifer trots Casper out for everything! So where was he? LaineyGossip posited a theory that Jason Statham doesn?t care for Casper and he told J.Lo to keep her D-list boyfriend away, which could explain the lack of Casper on this red carpet AND during this week of promotion in NYC, where Jennifer has been photographed going solo a lot. Another explanation? Maybe Jennifer is getting tired of Casper?? Probably not ? they just got a dog together. They named him Bear. Because that?s their nickname for each other.

All of us here on the Eastern seaboard of America are experiencing what is being referred to as ?the coldest week of the year?. Here in Virginia, the highs are supposed to reach 15 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow, I think. I?m mentioning this because it?s supposed to be freezing ass freezing in New York City, and this was how Jennifer Lopez was dressed for her media rounds yesterday. A leopard-print miniskirt, a thin jacket and thigh-high Louboutin boots. How does she not have frostbite?
Jennifer went into the Good Morning America studios, where I guess she did an interview to promote Parker, her latest film. Oh? I was going to bitch about not being able to find any coverage, but I found the interview. But I can?t embed it, so you just have to go here to see it. She?s complaining about how much she works and how tired she is. Oh, and she compares Parker to OUT OF SIGHT. For the love of God. NOOOOO.
I like her purple dress, but I still worry about how cold she must be. And seriously, her hair is looking awful these days. I used to love her hair, but it looks over-processed and like she needs to stop doing so much to it. Jennifer was recently discussing how it is that she looks so good at the age of 43, and she said: ?I never drank or smoked, and it’s really paying off now because my skin is still really good with moisturizing and getting good sleep? I’ve never had Botox or any of those things. But when I need to, maybe I will.? Do you think she?s really Botox free? I think she might be right now, but I bet she?s gotten ?toxed in the past.
Here?s the Parker trailer. It looks like something I would watch on cable, only I would turn it off half-way through because I figured out what was going to happen.

Keeping up with her crazy schedule, Jennifer Lopez showed up on the streets of Manhattan, NYC this afternoon (January 22).
The ?Jenny From The Block? babe was hard to miss in her leopard print getup as she greeted fans and press after an appearance on ?Good Morning America.?
During her interview on the ABC morning show, Lopez talked about her departure from her ?American Idol? judging gig. "I was like, 'You know what? It's time for me to get back to what I do, to get back to doing movies and acting and going on tour.? It was a big part of that decision."
And once she got back out on the road, J. Lo had her hands full. "I have to say I was really scared at first because it was my first world tour and it was very daunting and I was like, 'Ah, I've never been on the road. And I have two babies and this is going to be a big deal!' Usually a movie is like three or four months. This was like six, seven, eight months of work, nine months straight of rehearsing and everything. It was just, it was a lot.?
Jennifer stars in the new flick ?Parker? slated to hit theaters on Friday, January 25th. ?She plays a woman who forms an unlikely partnership with a thief.?

This is exactly how Homer Simpson’s makeup gun would translate in real life. It looks like everyone at the M.A.C. counter had a turn with Jennifer Lopez before she hit the Golden Globes after party circuit.
Where she went wrong:
1. Eyeshadow. For starters, too much. She’s practically Robin without the yellow tights and cape. Secondly, the shade is all wrong for her skin tone. Blue-based grays (like Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Mandchourie) look better on cooler complexions. Medium-to-dark skin like JLo’s should go for something warmer (example: Dior’s 1-Colour Ultra Smoothing High Impact Shadow in Gunmetal Gray).
2. Foundation. FACT: “Dewy” usually equals “greasy” in real life. Foundations with a natural or soft-focus finish are always more flattering (Estee Lauder’s Fresh Air Makeup uses optical diffusers to reflect light evenly and Dior’s Diorskin Nude Hydrating Foundation hydrates without looking shiny).
3. Lipstick. I love a nude lip. That is not a nude lip. It’s fifty-something Boca Raton mob wife lip. Too apricot, and too opaque and gummy-looking. When eyeshadow is that intense, your lips shouldn’t be — go with a gloss instead (I love Dolce & Gabbana’s Ultrashine Lipgloss in Honey 137 and Nars Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls) because sheer nude gloss compliments rather than competes with your eyes. And you want your eyes to be the focus here, unless “Persian Life cast member” was the look you were going for.
4. Bronzer. The first word that comes to mind when applying bronzer should never be “more.” Also, when applying bronzer, you want to use a large fluffy brush, not a damp mop. A hint of bronze is all you need — and Stila’s Set & Bronze Baked Powder Trio has just enough sheen to make you look glowy, not shiny.

Just know: I was going to include more people into this post, but then I saw that Jennifer Lopez did a costume change in between the actual Golden Globes ceremony and the after-parties, and that made me stop and say: ?Okay, let?s give her what she wants ? the spotlight!? So here you go, a post devoted solely to Jennifer Lopez and her poor boy-toy, Casper Smart.
Casper is officially making it through his second awards season! Remember, he was J.Lo?s Oscar date last year, and God knows, she?ll probably be invited to present this year and Casper were be on the Oscar red carpet, rubbing elbows with Jessica Chastain and George Clooney. You?d think that he would have realized the situation by now: he better propose to her fast!! I can?t believe it hasn?t happened yet.
But what?s worse than seeing Casper on the red carpet of the Golden Globes is seeing Jennifer Lopez?s try-hard. Sure, she had a few good moments ? like her little bit with Tina Fey, which was super-cute. But mostly it felt like? ?Ugh, Jennifer Lopez is trying to get attention.? Maybe it was about Ben Affleck, her ex- lover? I honestly forgot about the Bennifer 1.0 Drama because there should have been more cutaways to J.Lo whenever Ben was mentioned. Then again, I don?t think Jennifer harbors any ill-will towards Ben ?he?s the one ashamed of HER, not vice-versa.
Anyway, about the fashion? Jennifer?s wife gown is Zuhair Murad, a label which is increasingly taking cues from Marchesa in The Fug Department. I absolutely hated this gown. I did like the black gown she wore at the after-party, although she looks sort of like a zombie ? super-tired, right?

Jennifer Lopez is a notoriously insufferable bitch (see here, here, here, here and here for details), but her interview with next month’s Harper’s Bazaar really exposes the depth (or is that shallowness?) of her narcissism. She actually told the magazine:
“I make it as simple and as beautiful as I can because my life is kind of big. So I pack my luggage, or dress myself, or comb my kids’ hair, pick up their clothes -? that makes our life beautiful, you know?”
So, to recap, Jennifer Lopez makes life “simple” and “beautiful” by dressing herself. Clearly David Henry Thoreau didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. She’s not above wiping herself from time to time, either.

Taking advantage of the after-Christmas sales, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart took her children out in Beverly Hills on Thursday (December 27).
The "American Idol" judge looked cute in a gray furry vest, black top, and jeans while her man wore a black bomber jacket and jeans as each took a hand of Max and Emme, respectively.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 43-year-old singer received some disappointing news. According to TMZ, the judge dismissed her extortion claim against limo driver Hakob Manoukian for $20 million.
Unfortunately, the judge believed her suit was in retaliation for the ex-limo driver's earlier wrongful termination lawsuit against her.

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart in Puerto Rico just before Christmas. In the football pics, Casper and J.Lo are fooling around at the “Pre-Concert Celebrity Football Game Benefiting Hurricane Sandy Relief” in San Juan. In the glamour shots, Casper and J.Lo are just headed out for dinner. I know it?s weird, but I kind of like the football pics ? Casper looks like he?s doting on Jennifer?s kids, and they just seem like? a normal couple. And good God, Max is really starting to look like his dad, right?
I just liked these pics and wanted to talk about them because it feels like it?s been a few weeks since we?ve discussed the Casper-J.Lo situation, and even though it feels like the situation could end at any moment, month after month, they seem pretty solid. Is that weird? Did J.Lo manage to find a solid relationship with a boyfriend and they?re not doing the engagement-marriage-divorce cycle? Weird. Jennifer and Casper have been together for MORE THAN A YEAR. More than a year without a diamond ring, more than a year without a surprise elopement, more than a year without a pregnancy. How is this happening? Did Jennifer?s M.O. actually change after Marc Anthony? Maybe.
Also ? Jennifer just lost one part of a legal battle against her ex-driver. I really don?t even remember hearing about this stuff before, but if you?d like to read about it, go here.
