Stepping out for her Academy Award evening, Selena Gomez was spotted at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last night (February 26).
The ?Wizards of Waverly Place? hottie had all the boys drooling in her cleavage-baring silver dress as she arrived at the Sunset Tower hotel in West Hollywood.
And while she spent the previous year on the arm of boyfriend Justin Bieber, Miss Gomez opted totake her mother, Mandy Teefey, as her date this time around.
Selena joined a full slate of stars at the annual Oscars bash - with big names such as Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson and David and Victoria Beckham also in attendance.

Oooooh, Jennifer Lopez. She wore two Zhuhair Murad gowns last night, and I kind of think she should have switched them up. She wore the white beaded gown to the actual Oscars, and then she changed into the gorgeous blood-red Murad for the Vanity Fair party. The red one would have made an amazing statement on the Oscars red carpet, right? But instead we got J.Lo, with her hair pulled too tight, falling out of her hideously striped dress. Yes, you heard me. Everybody is debating whether or not J.Lo?s nip came out to play while she was presenting on stage with Camy Diaz. I don?t think it did – you can see video here. I think her white dress was just a shade too tight, and what people saw was the dress pinching her boobs, and there was a shadow effect. Just my opinion.
When Jennifer spoke to Tim Gunn, she told him: ?I?ve always loved fashion since I was a little girl. I love playing dress up. Over the years… I grew up in the Bronx, my style was very kind of street and hip-hoppy when I first started out… I take that wherever I go. I?ve been exposed to so many beautiful things. I?ve evolved with that.?
Oh, and where was Casper Smart?!?! BOOOOooooooo!!!! I wanted to see Casper on the Oscar red carpet, but he was nowhere to be seen! It just goes to show you – Jennifer probably isn?t as loved-up with her facially-challenged boo as we think she is. She?s actually a little bit ashamed of her boyfriend. Although? Just Jared claims Casper was spotted at the Vanity Fair party with Jennifer. So he did get to leave the house, but he just didn?t get the photo op.

She always has a way of making an entrance, and all eyes were on Jennifer Lopez as she arrived at the 84th Annual Academy Awards earlier tonight (February 26).
The ?Waiting for Tonight? songstress showed up at the Kodak Theatre eager to take part in the night?s festivities as one of the illustrious presenters, along with Tina Fey, Rose Byrne, Bradley Cooper, and Angelina Jolie.
As for the other nominees, ?Hugo? is up for 11 Oscars, while ?The Artist? has 10 nods, ?War Horse? and ?Moneyball? scored 6 nominations, and ?The Descendants? and ?The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? each have 5 chances for greatness.
The 84th Academy Awards will be hosted by past favorite Billy Crystal and will celebrate the best and brightest in the movie industry.

Just days after Jennifer Lopez tweeted a professionally-done photograph of herself and her facially challenged boy-toy Casper Smart, and then quickly deleted it, J.Lo and Casper headed off to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for Carnival. This happens every year – random American celebrities turn up in Rio, and they?re always in these orange shirts and the photos are always kind of mystifying. I guess the celebrities are getting paid to make an appearance at Carnival, likely as some cross-promotional deal with some Brazilian company that I?m not even going to look up. I remember Gerard Butler went one year – and he ended up staying on past his promotional duties, probably because he was enjoying the Brazilian strange so much.
So J.Lo and Casper travel internationally together. That?s good to know. I?m guessing they won?t stay for more than a few days, because Jennifer is WORKING and she has to go back to LA to work some more. She?s gotta bring in the money, y?all. She?s got to support her boy-toy. You know he?s totally walking the red carpet with her at the Oscars too. Ugh, just the idea of that gave me a tension headache. WHY J.LO?!?!? Why another backup dancer? And why a backup dancer who is so? rough-looking?
Oh, and Jennifer and Casper also did a ?candid? photo op on a swing set a few days ago – you can see the photos here. I just don?t even know anymore. Is she going to marry this guy?

Partying like it?s going out of style, Jennifer Lopez was spotted at the Carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil today (February 20).
The ?On the Floor? songstress wore a bright red getup including a Brahma Brazilian beer top as she danced around a private VIP box with her boyfriend Casper Smart and manager Benny Medina.
Prior to their arrival at the Carnival site, J. Lo and Casper were seen leaving their luxury hotel and taking pictures of Ipanema beach.
Also in the Carnival crowd was pop star Stacy ?Fergie? Ferguson, who hung out in the Devassa VIP area with a bunch of locals while beautiful Brazilian dancers strolled by in their ornate costumes.

The tabloids are schizophrenic about Jennifer Lopez and her facially-challenged boy-toy Casper Smart this week. Some say that Jennifer isn?t all that serious about him, and she knows that he?s just a rebound. Some say that Jennifer is totally planning a future with Casper, to the point where she lets her kids call him “Daddy Casper” (as CB previously reported) and now ?Poppa?. Oh, and she and Casper are even planning to adopt together. What?s the truth? I don?t know. Here?s the version I?m hoping is true:
Since splitting from husband Marc Anthony in July, Jennifer Lopez has been carting her new boyfriend, backup dancer Casper Smart, all over the world with her, spoiling him with pricey gifts – with the 42-year-old even bringing her twins, Max and Emme, around him.
But a source close to Jennifer says Casper shouldn?t get too comfortable – because he?s nothing but a temporary plaything. ?She really enjoys spending time with Casper, but she doesn?t see a future with him,? the source tells In Touch, adding that the star is just having fun right now and has no intention of taking things to the next level with her 24-year-old boy toy.
And while doting Casper hangs on her every word and adores her – which Jennifer loves – the source claims that J.Lo is basically using him to get through the pain of her divorce from Marc.
?Casper is the rebound guy, and that?s it.?

Historically, Jennifer never just ?dates?. She has to get engaged, she has to at least try to get married. But! If there was ever a moment for her to break her pattern, I think it might be now. I think she got burned by her marriage to Marc Anthony, and I seriously hope she?s too gun-shy to jump into anything too serious. But the twins? real father Marc Anthony was not invited to the outing. In fact, Marc is increasingly disturbed about how close Casper is getting to his kids.
The last time Casper was spotted on the beach with the twins, ?Marc saw them all looking like one big happy family and called J.Lo immediately and tore into her,? a source said at the time. ?He believe this is just a rebound and that she can?t keep a relationship going.?
But with every week that passes, Jennifer and Casper?s relationship appears to be growing stronger.
?She?s really impressed with how he has stepped up to the plate and fallen into the role of stand-in dad,? a source tells Star. ?he knows the way to her heart is through her babies, so he?s been lavishing attention on them.?
Casper and the twins have gotten so close, the insider reveals, that they call him ?Poppa.?
?He and Jennifer are even talking about adopting or having kids of their own,? says the source. ?She?s really seeing a future with him.?

This is the version based on Jennifer?s history. The girl in love with love. Jenny from the block, Jenny the romantic, Jenny who can never just be alone. So, what?s the truth? I still don?t know. But it?s really sad to me that she?s letting her kids get so close to Casper. I don?t think that part of the story is going to end well.
You know Casper is going to be her Oscar date too. So? it?s probably pretty serious. Cris Judd serious, y?all.

I cannot even begin to describe how hilarious I find it that Casper Smart has defenders. Like, there are people who are actively trying to convince me (and the world) that Casper Smart is something other than a facially-challenged, back-up dancing errand boy who latched onto a diva who has issues with being alone. Anyway, these are new photos of Jennifer Lopez and Casper yesterday in NYC. Jennifer did the Today Show and The Late Show with David Letterman. Casper came to both tapings because? what else does he have to do? He?s the Stacy Keibler of purse-holders.
I read yesterday that Jennifer Lopez has just been announced as a presenter for this year?s Oscars – Lainey at LaineyGossip was complaining about it because this likely means that Jennifer will bring Casper as her official Oscar date. Really, though, why is that NOT something to look forward to? It?s not like Jennifer doesn?t have a history of bringing whoever she?s attached to onto the red carpet. Cris Judd, anyone? Cris Judd made it to the Oscars – that was the year Jennifer wore see-through Chanel and Oscar producers ordered the cameras to only shoot her from the shoulders up. And that was back when Jennifer was in the prime of her relevance too – what will this year bring? I?m sure it will be hideous. I?m sure the dress will be epic and ?show stopping? and I?m sure Casper will be cleaned up and rammed into a tux, and he?ll share a moment with George Clooney. It will be awesome.
PS? what?s with all the fur? Jennifer has always worn fur, sure, but she did two outfits yesterday that were fur-based. Yes, that?s a fur-trim ON THE SKIRT.

Speaking of Jennifer Lopez, Celebitchy transcribed a portion of her Matt Lauer interview that was pretty laughable. Talking about her kids,
Lauer: They?re privileged. Does that worry you at all?
Lopez: I think about it. I loved my upbringing. I?ve tried to give them the same thing, just in a bigger house. The same family, they grew up around their cousins and their aunts, just like I did. The same foods, they eat the same foods I did when I was growing up. You know, I try to just keep what was so good about growing up Puerto Rican in the Bronx, lower middle class family. The same things, the same values that were important to my mom and my dad and what I?ve learned from that upbringing I?ve tried to bring to them.
As Celebitchy notes, her spread in PEOPLE featured a $3,000 stroller and she also showed off their nautical themed nursery with chandeliers. The only way those kids will ever be exposed to lower middle class family values is when she takes them to the homeless shelter to laugh at all the poor people.

The "American Idol" judge beautifies the publication's front page while talking about what helped her through the challenging times and getting her work ethic from her mother in a column titled 'Fast Forward'.

On what has helped her through the most challenging times:
"It's the women. Through ups and not so ups, that's the one thing that got me through. My grandmother taught me to cook and not be afraid to serve and be humble ? and to go out looking nice because people like that and they respect you."
On her Kohl's collection and fashion endeavors:
"I've been fortunate enough to work with some of the best designers who've ever lived. I can bring all that experience to this. I'm really, really a fan of glamour and old Hollywood and movie stars. I've always been a fan of fashion ever since I was a little girl, and Kohl's has been a great partner in helping me execute this first collection and it's been amazing."
On her mother helping establish her work ethic:
"My mom always told me that if you work hard, you can achieve anything. And it's true. It's one of the truest things ever."

The ?On the Floor? songstress looked stunning in a white one-piece as she prepped for her photo session with fashion photographer Mario Testino.
Aside from her current judge position on ?American Idol,? JLo is also working on the Latin talent show Q?Viva ?The Chosen? with her estranged husband Marc Anthony.
