Rihanna and Drake are happening. He wore a tuxedo and proclaimed his love for her on stage at the VMAs on Sunday. She rolled her eyes. He went in for a kiss on the mouth and she gave him her cheek. But seriously? they haven?t left each other?s side since. After years of on-and-off nonsense, Drake finally got his dream girl. The only catch is that Rihanna really doesn?t want this to be official at all. She doesn?t want to be known as Drake?s Girlfriend, even if she is. But I think he?s sort of okay with that too. I mean, he got the girl! He?s fine with it.
These are photos of Drake and Rihanna out last night at Nobu. Keep in mind, they partied all night Sunday and into the wee hours of Monday, then they probably went back to a hotel or apartment, banged like crazy, slept, and then got up to go out to dinner at Nobu. People Magazine had the breakdown of what they did post-VMAs:
After grabbing dinner together at Carbone, where they were joined by Rihanna’s friends and family, the two popped over to Manhattan hotspot Up & Down for a party thrown in her honor by her label Roc Nation.
“They walked in a little after 3 a.m.,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. “Rihanna had a section by the deejay that was dedicated to her and Drake had one for him, but when they got in they chose to go into his section which was all the way in the back and much more private. They never left each other’s side. He was literally shadowing her every movement and was just so affectionate and adoring the entire night.”
When it came time to toast the lady of the hour, “They celebrated with D’Usse cognac,” says the source. “And at one point they brought out a big bottle of Ace of Spades. They’d made these $1000 bills with Rihanna’s face on it that said ‘United States of Rihanna’ and when the bottle came out they were shooting them into the air!”
With everything going on, the source says Drake still only had eyes for Rihanna. “They were very secluded the whole night. The club usually clears out around 4 a.m. but they were late getting there so they stayed around after it closed and shut it down. And they left together. He was really adoring and cute.”

E! News notes that Rihanna and Drake were ?holding hands when they walked in? to the club. E! also says that Rihanna and Drake only ?seemed like all they cared about was each other? and they ?didn’t leave each other’s side.? See? Now I?m a little bit worried though. This is the kind heavy, open romance that will leave Rihanna looking for an exit. She?s gun-shy about these kinds of serious relationships. I hope she doesn?t dump him again.

Here are some street-style photos of Rihanna out and about in NYC on Sunday. She was apparently running some errands or doing some shopping. This is how Rihanna ?runs errands.? She wears a bright Dolce & Gabbana caftan, Stella McCartney platform shoes and no Dior sunglasses! Incidentally, that sunglasses-story last Friday has made me review my previous opinions on cheap sunglasses. Maybe I will try an expensive pair of sunglasses one day, just to see what they?re like.
As for Rihanna?s D&G caftan? it?s summery, it?s beachy, it?s glam and like most of what Rihanna wears, it probably only looks good on Rihanna and no one else. Don?t get me wrong, I long for the day when ?caftans-as-outerwear? makes a triumphant return. People always roll their eyes at ?70s style, but I love the ?70s look of caftans and prints. What I hate here is Rihanna?s shoe choice. Those Stella McCartney shoes are just THE WORST.
Speaking of shoes, Rihanna?s collaboration with Puma is still going strong. Puma released their third collection with Rihanna a few days ago and the sneakers sold out in just 35 minutes online. I?m telling you, Rihanna has the Midas touch when it comes to style/accessories and more designers should pursue her for collaborations. I?ve already convinced myself to start pricing caftans, because surely I?ll look the same as Rihanna when I wear a caftan, right?

Rihanna has been representing Dior for a few years now. It?s a collaboration that works, perhaps even more than Jennifer Lawrence?s Dior contract. While I understand why Dior went with J-Law, I think their union has not been the best for either party. But Rihanna + Dior is magical. Anyway, these are some new promotional images from Dior. Rihanna is the face of Dior?s new sunglasses line. But Rihanna isn?t just ?the face? of this sunglass design ? she actually helped design them!
Dior?s search for a creative director continues, but in the meantime, there?s one major name designing for the house: Rihanna. The singer has created a range of futuristic sunglasses in collaboration with Dior as part of her brand ambassadorship. The name of the collection is simply ?Rihanna.? The sunglasses will be sold exclusively at Dior stores beginning in early June, though Rihanna has been teasing the shades on her Instagram account. There is one frame available in six variations ? the silver, pink, blue, green and red styles will retail for $840, while a deluxe 24-karat gold-plated version will sell for $1,950.
This is the second collaborative project between Rihanna and Dior. A year ago, Steven Klein photographed Rihanna in ?Secret Garden IV,? a campaign and short film shot inside Versailles features her in Dior sunglasses, carrying the brand?s bags and wearing looks from the Esprit Dior collection shown in Tokyo in December 2014. ?We are very pleased to partner for the second time with Rihanna,? said Dior chief executive officer Sidney Toledano. ?She is an artist, an entertainer, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a style icon for today?s generation.?
The sunglasses are her first design project with Dior, a privilege never before granted to one of its house ambassadors, who include Charlize Theron, Marion Cotillard, Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lawrence. In October, Rihanna visited Dior?s headquarters on Avenue Montaigne to meet with the eyewear design team going over vintage frames, ultimately picking a style from 2000 as the key reference. In a statement provided by Dior, Rihanna named La Forge from ?Star Trek? as her inspiration for the frames. ?I?ve always been obsessed with his eyewear, and when I got to Dior and saw all the materials I could play with, it all just came together,? she said.
In terms of the design process, she said, ?The process was pretty seamless. I spent a day at Dior with their eyewear design team. I started by looking through all the archives to see what they?ve done in the past, then got acquainted with all the new materials. I literally sat there and drew and drew until I was happy with the design, and the team illustrated it for me right then and there. We picked materials and colors that same day, and after that it was a matter of weeks before I saw the first prototype.?

Would you spend $840 on a pair of sunglasses? Would you spend $1950 on a pair of yellow-gold sunglasses? I would not. I think sunglasses are one of those accessories where you can go cheap, although I feel that way about a lot of things. I had a great pair of sunglasses that I bought for like $10 and they lasted me a good five years. They were super-flattering and, in my opinion, a lot cuter than these Dior sunglasses. I?m currently wearing a pair that I picked up at Kohl?s for something like $15 and they?re great too.
Now, all that being said, I think it?s cool that Dior has invited Rihanna into the process and that she?s a hands-on collaborator. Rihanna loves this stuff, and she does have a Midas touch when it comes to accessories, clothes, etc. I?m sure these (fug) sunglasses will be super-popular.

CB watched all of the Billboard Music Awards last night, and she said it was better than the Grammys this year. Which is setting the bar pretty low, because except for a handful of performances at this year?s Grammys (Kendrick Lamar), the Grammys were THE WORST. They were so boring. One of the reasons why the BBMAs were good this year? Because Rihanna came out AND performed (after canceling at the Grammys last-minute). And she killed it. Rihanna walked the carpet in this vintage Thierry Mugler shirtdress which? I like just because it wasn?t a little black dress. Rihanna performed a song off of her new album, ?Love on the Brain.? It?s soulful and sexy and it was considered one of the best performances of the night.

For six years now, BET has been doing an event called Black Girls Rock! It?s about promoting positivity with African-American women and black women and showing young women of color that there are some amazing role models in their community. Considering the consistent underrepresentation of women of color in the media, I think the event is pretty great. In years past, Michelle Obama has even come out for it. And this year, Rihanna and Hillary Clinton came out. Clinton gave a speech about her African-American female role models ? you can read her speech here. Rihanna was there because she picked up the Rock Star Award.
In the past month, we?ve gotten more red carpet and paparazzi photos of Rihanna than we?ve had in the previous year. When she amps up her promotion, she really brings it. While I?m happy about all of the new Rihanna photos, I do wonder the interest level? Like, do you guys want more Rih-Rih? Do you want more fashion posts and street-style posts about Rihanna? I?m really asking ? honk if you want more Rihanna! For the Black Girls Rock event, Rihanna wore this? unusual ensemble. With that face and that body, she can pull off nearly anything, but this outfit did leave me with a ????? thought bubble. She wore an oversized gingham blouse, shorts and a giant fur coat by Miu Miu. While I knew that Rihanna doesn?t have a problem with wearing fur, the choice of wearing fur to this event – and wearing fur over shorts and a blouse – is really strange. Rihanna also made a nice, tearful speech for her Rock Star Award:
“Thank you so much for celebrating us in a world that doesn’t celebrate us enough. The minute you learn to love yourself, you will not want to be anybody else. Role model is not the title they like to give me?but I think I can inspire a lot of young women to be themselves and that is half the battle. Hopefully one day I’ll be raising my own little black girl who rocks.”

Aw. Rihanna has been talking about babies more and more lately. It does feel like her biological clock has started ticking and she?s thinking more and more about settling down and starting a family. I genuinely believe she will be a kickass mom.
Last things? Rihanna dropped her video for ?Kiss It Better? last week, and you can see the NSFW video here. That single has a real ?80s vibe and I don?t know how to feel about it. Also, Chris Hemsworth did a dramatic reading of the lyrics for ?Work.?

The BRIT Awards were held last night in London, and they turned out to be a decent event. Some years? it feels like the BRITs are too insular and like the biggest celebrities are really only well-known in the UK. But this year, there were some internationally famous acts. Like Rihanna. Considering her sudden withdrawal from the Grammys, this was Rihanna?s first big performance in support of ANTI. Rihanna wore Armani Prive on the red carpet ? this is very pretty and feminine. She changed for her performance with Drake:
I still dislike ?Work? as a single, but this performance is fine. Drake?s tracksuit though!!! You can see more clips and performances here on the BRIT Awards YouTube channel.
