Getting down to work on his latest project, Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted on the set of ?An Enemy? today (May 22).
The ?Day After Tomorrow? stud looked handsome-yet-furry thanks to his beard teamed with a jacket-tie combo as he filmed scenes on the street in Toronto, Canada.
?An Enemy? is based on the Jose Saramago novel about a man who seeks out his exact lookalike after seeing him in a movie.
Besides Gyllehnaal, the cast also boasts names like Melanie Laurent, Isabella Rossellini, and Sarah Gadon.

These are photos of Jake Gyllenhaal from two nights ago, at a benefit for the late Paul Newman?s A Hole In The Wall Camps. Jake is really letting his beard grow out, isn?t he? I mean, it looks trimmed and everything, but this boy can really grow some burly facial hair. And the big beard makes his blue eyes stand out even more, which is nice. Jake has pretty eyes. Anyway, I read this funny little item about Jake this morning, and I just had to share it:
Jake Gyllenhaal has been turning heads ? or ?spinning? them ? by popping up on the ?instructor?s bike? at SoulCycle in Union Square. The ?Source Code? star cycled on a stage next to an instructor Monday in full view of an afternoon spin class.
He even mouthed the words to a Jay-Z song playing on the soundtrack while wearing ?a black tank top, shorts and full beard dripping in sweat,? a spy said, adding Jake even lip-synced, ?I got 99 problems but a bitch ain?t one.?

Does that make you like Jake more? I like him more, knowing that he loves a good spin class and he knows the words to Jay-Z songs. I?ve been listening to Jay-Z and Kanye?s ?N—gas in Paris? while I work out, but I make a concerted effort to not mouth the words. Because? well, people might get offended. But this bitch isn?t offended that Jake has 99 problems and a bitch ain?t one. What would you do if Jake showed up in your spin class?
One more Jake story – Ellen Pompeo recently told a story about Jake hitting on her before they were famous. The problem is that she?s told this story several times, because I distinctly remember the line Ellen claims Jake used on her: ?He told me I was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.? Um? I?m not putting that on Ellen. That?s Jake?s line. And it?s cheesy as hell.

Opting for some fresh air and exercise, Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted out for a walk in London, England this afternoon (February 1).
The ?Brokeback Mountain? stud looked well-dressed and in good spirits, sporting a black ballcap, olive green winter coat, and khaki trousers.
And though they broke up over a year ago, Jake?s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift is still feeling the effects of the split.
A source close to Swifty told press that she is still ?haunted by that relationship,? and that Jake ?totally screwed with her mind.? Don?t worry, there?s a song on Taylor?s upcoming album all about it!

I don’t know what it is about a young guy in a uniform, but nothing cranks my tractor like a 9 mm and a knight stick dangling from a man’s waist. Maybe it’s the whole authority figure/power thing, or maybe you just draw from what you know. It just so happens that I also have a thing for old guys in long black robes and gavels.

Enjoying an afternoon outing, Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted arriving at a friend?s house in Los Feliz, CA on Tuesday (July 26).
Dressed in workout clothes, the ?Source Code? actor looked a bit on the buff side as he hurried out of the view of the on-hand paparazzi.
The sighting comes as Jake headed to the North Shore of Oahu over the weekend to show his support for his film director father?s second wedding.
Joined by sister, Maggie, the 30-year-old stud happened to be one of the groomsmen, while he also was able to fit in a little Aloha State surfing during the brief island getaway.

Talk about life imitating art, Jake Gyllenhaal witnessed a scene right out of a Hollywood blockbuster - a gang shooting in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday night (July 13).
The 30-year-old was on a police ride-along with fellow actor Michael Pena to research for their upcoming cop drama "End of Watch," when their pair came up on the real-life violent scene.
According to authorities, when Jake and Michael, along with their police escort, Sgt. Tammy Bowen, drove up on the 5700 block of South and 2nd Avenue, they witnessed the first-hand the aftermath of a gang shooting.
The LAPD has yet to identify any suspects, however, they do tell the Los Angeles Times that Gyllenhaal has been on previous ride-alongs associated with film roles in the past.

Bear Grylls and Jake Gyllenhaal (hoo boy, that’s a lot of l’s) traveled to Iceland to spend time in the wild and attempt to survive. Spoiler: they did. In between coffee and donut breaks, Jake even faced his fear of heights head-on. As for food, they tried to eat a dead sheep but couldn’t because it was rotten. No matter. Just talk to craft service and they’ll get you some lamb shank. For shelter, they dug a hole in the snow and had hot chocolate before falling asleep together. Wow, this is getting gay pretty fast.
Later, they took their shirts off, held hands and had a romantic stroll through ice water. Things get sort of awkward when the cameraman zooms in on a shirtless Jake while he got dressed. The cameraman snaps out of his bromance and pans to Bear to try and play it off.

If you haven’t heard, Jake Gyllenhaal guest stars on an upcoming episode of Man Vs Wild which premieres July 11. To hype up the episode, Discovery posted a few shots of the two having a Brokeback moment. Aw, how cute.
At one point, I fully expect Jake to ask, “Hey, you know how often times you have to drink urine for water? So… do you pee in my mouth now or later?” Note that Will Ferrell will be another guest star and I expect him to ask the same question. Albeit jokingly.

A couple of weeks ago, we were busily scratching our collective heads over why Jake Gyllenhaal, a.k.a. “He Who Cuddlefests,” has decided to guest star alongside host Bear Grylls on the season premiere of “Man vs. Wild.” Some of you thought that Jake was trying to prove his manliness, and one or two of you thought he was just a fan of the show. I’m inclined to hang with the former school of thought, however far-fetched the desired end result might seem.
At any rate, the Jake episode will air next Monday on the Discovery Channel, but ET has a sneak peek of the duo as they defy death in the harsh, unfriendly Iceland climate. Naturally, the video is stuck on autoplay, so we’re not posting it, but you can watch it here. It’s pretty hilarious to watch Jake attempting to haul his body across the length of a rope that stretches over an enormous cavern, but I’ll resist making any stunt wiring jokes. However, I’m certainly not beyond imagining that, once the harrowing experience concluded, Jake and Bear hopped into a luxury SUV and feasted upon White Bean Dip with Rosemary Olive Oil and Slushy Watermelon Mojitos as the vehicle sped along to its ultimate spa destination.
Once again and for those of you who think I’m being too tough on Jake (who I actually like a lot), here’s a refresher on the process by which a “Man vs. Wild” can be faked:
