It was quite the event when Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli split up earlier this year, but now it looks like they’re getting back together.
The “Catch Me If You Can” stud and the Israeli hottie were spotted enjoying the holiday weekend with a south-of-the-border romantic getaway.
Leo and Bar got plenty of sun and fun while on vacation in the Riviera Maya district of Mexico, spending their time on the beach looking so happy together.
Prior to the trip, DiCaprio and Refaeli were recently spotted in the Bahamas together, sparking speculation that they’ve rekindled their flame.

Showing his love for the game, Leonardo DiCaprio attended the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game at the Staples Center in LA last night (December 11).
The “Basketball Diaries” stud looked to be having a great time as he goofed around with fellow fans, cheering the home team on to a 104-92 victory.
In other news, the 35-year-old superstar is set to voice the role of Jack Frost in DreamWorks Animation’s “The Guardians,” according to Variety.
Quite the ambitious project, “The Guardians” is reportedly scheduled for release on November 2, 2012.

Among the many celebrities spending the Thanksgiving holiday south of the border, Leonardo DiCaprio enjoyed dinner at a local sushi restaurant in Mexico on Sunday night (November 29).
The “Titanic” hunk brought along his mother for the trip, as the pair went to check on a few properties as possible real estate investments during their stay.
Meanwhile, DiCaprio stirred up rumors of a rekindled romance after he took ex-lover Bar Refaeli to Baker’s Bay not too long ago.
A source tells, “They stayed in their own villa. They were shacked up together all weekend.”

Back in June of this year (when these horrible photos are from), Leonardo DiCaprio and Israeli model Bar Rafaeli allegedly split. I say ?allegedly? because they and their reps never really confirmed or denied anything, it just seemed like suddenly Leo was hooking up with whatever random bar girl caught his eye (perhaps even Lindsay Lohan) while Bar licked her wounds, then found a nice billionaire to ease the pain. It seemed like they were not only totally done, but that the split might have been less than amicable. But Page Six reported on Thursday that Leo and Bar might have buried the hatchet. If ?buried the hatchet? means ?had lots of sex in a Bahaman villa for about a week?.
Is Leonardo DiCaprio getting back with Bar Rafaeli? A source says the star recently took the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model to Baker’s Bay, a private resort in the Bahamas.
“They stayed in their own villa,” our spy says. “They were shacked up together all weekend.”
Rafaeli and DiCaprio split in June after three years, reportedly because of his fear of commitment. Since then, DiCaprio, who will next star in Martin Scorsese’s “Shutter Island,” has been linked to a bevy of models, while Rafaeli has been spotted partying with Israeli gambling tycoon Teddy Sagi and Brazilian playboy Ricardo Mansur.
Rafaeli was not at DiCaprio’s 35th birthday this month with Kate Hudson, Ryan Phillippe and Hayden Panettiere in West Hollywood. But, according to our source, Rafaeli was devastated after Lindsay Lohan was photographed leaving DiCaprio’s home at 4:30 a.m. DiCaprio’s rep declined to comment and Rafaeli’s rep didn’t get back to us.

You date a guy for a few years, he dumps you, and then proceeds to spend some quality party time with Lindsay Lohan. You?d be all ?he needs to check himself before he wrecks himself? too. Hard at work on their new movie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were out filming scenes for “Inception” in downtown Los Angeles on Monday (October 19).
The Christopher Nolan directed film in due out in July 2010, telling the story of “a CEO-type who becomes involved in a blackmailing scandal.”
Meanwhile, Leo kept himself occupied over the weekend, hitting the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Friday night.
The Oscar winning actor spent time hanging out with MTV reality star Whitney Port, who he’s been linked to romantically - although the pair have since denied the claims.

Maybe it?s just me, but I get really annoyed with Leonardo DiCaprio?s love life and romantic choices. And I like him as an actor! But whenever I really think about his compulsive modelizing, his commitment issues and his general douchiness about women, I get upset. It?s no secret that Leo has a type - he likes up-and-coming models with accents. The models tend to be of the curvier variety, going with the Victoria?s Secret trend rather than the emaciated-preteen trend, so I guess I give him credit for that. He doesn?t want a bag of bones. I?ll also give him credit for something else - unlike, say, a George Clooney, Leo likes a girl with a career. He doesn?t seem to expect a girl to drop everything to be with him - he tends to go for girls with their own stuff going on.
So, now that we?ve established Leo?s type, I can say with reasonable certainty that this report from Star is likely crap. They claim that Leo has been quietly dating The City?s ?reality star? Whitney Port. She?s the one who looks like Audrina Patridge, only Whitney?s hair is lighter and her eyes aren’t as crazy.
?They met at a NYC party and he flirted with her like crazy, then asked for her phone number,? says a source. ?She didn?t think it was a big deal because she heard he does that with lots of girls.?
?When Leo started calling her, she thought he was just being friendly. But he called and called? He was very sweet to her. He told her how beautiful she is, how much he wanted to go out with her.?
When NYC-based Whitney hit LA in late September, Leo insisted that thye meet up. On September 27, he asked her to join him at a street fair in Venice, CA but she said no.
?Whitney read that he was with model Anne Vyalitsyna and didn?t want it to look publicly like he was two-timing Anne with her,? says a source. She did, however, agree to see him in private.
The eventual first date: an intimate dinner at his Hollywood Hills mansion in early October - and they?ve been sizzling ever since!
?She?s really clicked with him and he?s treating her very well, and of course it?s exciting that he?s such a huge star,? says the source. ?But she?s taking it very slowly. She doesn?t want to be just another notch on Leo?s bedpost.?

It feels like body image day here on Celebitchy, what with that size-12 Glamour model story, and yesterday?s Helena Bonham-Carter swimsuit story. Some of us (me) can get a little sensitive when people with utterly normal, healthy bodies get criticized, but I hope you will forgive my snark on this one. Leonardo DiCaprio is going on a diet! Thank God. Now, I know, it?s a double standard. Leonardo has never been fat. And for many years there, he actually gave off a whiff of manorexia. But for a while now, Leo?s been having fun with the carbs, and the carbs have been throwing a little party on Leo?s gut and chin(s). But no more! Leo is going on a diet - and it?s all for his new film, Inception:

The heartthrob actor has embarked on a major crash diet in the hopes of losing weight before the end of the year - and he’s not enjoying it one bit.
“Leo needs to shed at least 30lbs,” says a set source on Inception, the hotly anticipated action flick written by Batman director Christopher Nolan.
“He’s gained weight recently and looks almost a bit flabby, which isn’t good, especially as the camera adds pounds. There’s an action scene coming up at the end of the year in which he needs to appear emaciated, so the pressure is on.?
“Leo isn’t the kind of guy who can just lose a radical amount of weight though - he gets very nervous about it. He’s following a strict diet and is embarking on a rigorous workout regime.?
He hopes to lose the weight through the old fashioned way of cutting back on calories and upping his exercise. Leo’s a pretty determined kind of guy, when he sets his mind to things he always achieves them. Though this is going to be hard for him, you can guarantee he’ll succeed.”

Judging Leo from his last vacation pictures - when he was hanging out shirtless in Ibiza - Leo could lose about 10 to 15 pounds and he would look great, and really toned. Thirty pounds seems to be pushing it. Thirty pounds would make him look unhealthy, I think. But maybe that?s the point - he doesn?t need to be toned for the film, he needs to be ?emaciated?. Let?s hope he doesn?t start looking like a crackhead (see: Christian Bale).
Does Leo really need to look emaciated though? I don?t know anything about this film Inception. Let me look it up? hot damn, this movie has a great cast! Leo, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy? and of my new favorite British actors, Tom Hardy! I love that kid. He?s so sexy. As far as the plot of Inception, all I can find out is ?A CEO-type becomes involved in a blackmailing scandal.? Hm? that could go either way. I hope it?s good.

Continuing their work on the new Christopher Nolan flick “Inception,” Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were spotted on the Paris, France set today (August 19).
The “Catch Me if You Can” stud and the “Juno” cutie looked to be enjoying themselves as they chatted in between scenes, though when Nolan yelled “action,” it was all business.
And although the production company is trying to keep the film’s details secret, a source tells that “Inception” is a contemporary sci-fi action thriller set within “the architecture of the mind.”
Besides DiCaprio and Page, stars like Michael Caine and Marion Cotillard will also lend their skills to the flick, due out July 16, 2010.

Getting down to work on their new movie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were spotted on the set of “Inception” at the Pont de Bir-Hakeim bridge in Paris, France yesterday (August 16).
The “Titanic” stud and his “Juno” costar looked intense as they filmed scenes together on the closed-off set, with the paparazzi looming off in the distance.
Though much of “Inception” is being kept under wraps, an industry insider described the story as a contemporary sci-fi action thriller set within “the architecture of the mind.”
Along with DiCaprio and Page, prolific French actress Marion Cotillard also stars in the flick, which is due to hit theaters July 16th, 2010.
