Several years ago, Hugh Grant got a lady pregnant. The lady was Tinglan Hong, and they had some kind of casual dating relationship when she got pregnant. He was sort of rude about it at first, but he bought her a pricey mansion apartment close to his mansion, and she gave birth to a daughter, Tabitha Grant. Seven months later, Hugh got Tinglan pregnant AGAIN. She gave birth to a son, Felix Chang Hong Grant. Lost in the midst of those pregnancies was the fact that Hugh had gotten a second woman pregnant. He impregnated a Swedish woman named Anna Eberstein in between Tinglan?s two pregnancies. As a matter of fact, Anna?s pregnancy overlapped for five months with Tinglan?s second pregnancy. Anna gave birth to a boy as well and we don?t know that kid?s name. Hugh once again purchased a home for Anna, another mansion apartment close to his mansion. And we can talk about all of this because Hugh confirmed it:
Hugh Grant has spoken of his love for his half-Swedish son. It is the first time he has publicly spoken about his son, born in September 2012 but whose existence was only revealed earlier this year. The Notting Hill star, 54, went from being childless to a father of three in the space of just 15 months. He has a daughter and a son by his other lover, Tinglan Hong, and the two women were pregnant with their sons at the same time. Both mothers and their children live within walking distance of Grant?s townhouse in Fulham, West London.
Speaking to Swedish newspaper Njesbladet, he said of Miss Eberstein, 35: ?We are very good friends and she?s a very good mother.?
The pin-up actor said he had plenty of contact with his son, whose second birthday was last week.
?[I see him] all the time, all the time – most days,? he said. His relationship with the boy was ?excellent?, he said, adding: ?I love him very much.?
Grant also spoke warmly about the charms of Sweden, which he has visited several times. Miss Eberstein?s mother, Susanne Eberstein, is a Swedish judge and prominent left-wing politician who has described her grandson as a ?wonderful little cute boy?.
Grant, who is the figurehead of the anti-press campaign group Hacked Off, said: ?I really don?t do very much acting any more. I?m doing a film next spring, but mostly my life is politics.?
The actor gave his interview at a racetrack in the town of Skne Knutstorp where he was test-driving a Ferrari in a charity race. Explaining why he was taking part, Grant, who drives luxury cars including a Ferrari around London, said: ?I felt it was a test of my manhood and I had to say yes, because I do own these ridiculous cars, and I have done a lot of lessons in how to drive them, but I?ve never done a race, so it feels like I have to have a race. And it?s for a very good cause, it?s for a cancer charity.?
Grant?s son – who the Mail is not naming – was revealed when he suddenly added himself to the boy?s birth certificate, more than a year after he was born. When the baby was first registered, the father?s name was left blank. About a month before their son was born, Miss Eberstein moved into a 2.69 million mansion apartment bought for cash, and she is the sole owner. It is just round the corner from Grant?s house.
The Hollywood star?s first child, daughter Tabitha, was born to 33-year-old Miss Hong in September 2011. Within four months of the birth, Miss Eberstein was pregnant by him. Three months after that, he got Miss Hong pregnant again. And for around five months in 2012, the two women?s pregnancies overlapped.

Something nice? at least he?s financially supporting his baby-mamas. If Hugh Grant gets you pregnant (and I think the odds are pretty good that will happen), he will buy you a really nice apartment in London and he will spend time with the kid. Not a lot of time, mind you. He has to play golf and make political statements. But he?ll check in with the kid, providing you agree to a paternity test (because I?m absolutely sure he?s made both women take paternity tests while pregnant). Oh, and he isn’t going to leave any of his kids trust funds. So? is this the new normal? I still have difficulty adjusting to the idea that Hugh Grant became a father of three in his 50s. There?s hope for George Clooney yet.

Hugh Grant impregnated a woman named Tinglan Hong in 2011. Tinglan ended up giving birth to a daughter, named Tabitha Grant, later that year. It was epic because it seemed like Hugh and Tinglan merely had a brief affair, and Hugh was (and is) such a famous bachelor. At the time he was famous for being a childfree bachelor. Once Tabitha was born, Hugh bought Tinglan a new house. It’s believed that he completely supports his baby-mama, and that he spends time on dad-duty. So much time, in fact, that Tinglan got pregnant again in 2012 and gave birth to Hugh?s second child, a son they named Felix Chang Hong Grant. All was well with the world.
But now things are getting a bit more scandalous. It seems that Hugh impregnated ANOTHER woman, a woman who was pregnant around the same time Tinglan was pregnant with Felix. Oh, Hugh.
Hugh Grant has become a father again for the third time, according to reports. The 53-year-old actor allegedly welcomed a baby boy into the world in September 2012 following a relationship with Swedish TV producer Anna Elisabet Eberstein. His arrival was just three months before the birth of his second child with lover Tinglan Hong, son Felix, according to The Sun.
A source told the paper: ?They were pregnant with Hugh?s children at the same time. It?s an unusual arrangement.?
However it is unclear whether Tinglan and Anna were aware of the fact they were both expecting the About A Boy star?s child. Hugh’s involvement with Anna’s child was only revealed when his full name – Hugh John Mungo Grant – appeared on the birth certificate after it was re-registered in December 2013.
According to the paper, the space for the father?s name was left blank on the first certificate.
The source told the paper: ?Anna is being supported by Hugh all the way. She lives in a very comfortable property in West London and knows that Hugh is there for her. Anna?s parents in Sweden know all about the relationship and she has their blessing.?
Tinglan, who is the mother of Hugh?s daughter Tabitha, gave birth to Felix on December 29 and registered the new arrival on Valentine?s Day 2013. According to the birth certificate, Felix Chang was born at St Mary?s Hospital in Paddington, West London .
At the time the actor tweeted: ?In answer to some journos. Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum.? He added a short while later: ?And to be crystal clear. I am the Daddy.?
Felix?s arrival came almost 17 months after Miss Hong gave birth to the couple?s first child, daughter Tabitha Xaio Xi Hong Grant, at London?s Portland Hospital, in September 2011. In an interview with American chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, Grant admitted that while coming as something of a shock, fatherhood had had a very positive ?life-changing? effect on him.
He said: ?Everyone was right all these years, saying: ?Hugh, why don?t you have some children? It changes your life.? Now that I have a child, it is life-changing. I recommend it. Get some. I can?t pretend it wasn?t a little bit of a surprise. But it?s a very nice surprise. In fact, the baby?s name in Chinese, because the mother?s is Chinese, means ?happy surprise?.
Miss Hong, who was born in Zhejiang province in eastern China and moved to Britain in 2003, is understood to have met Grant in a Chelsea wine bar in 2008. The pair struck up an unlikely friendship before embarking on a relationship in January 2011. Tabitha?s arrival was kept secret for two months until the actor?s spokesman released a statement confirming the birth but adding that Grant ? who rose to fame in Four Weddings And A Funeral in 1994 ? was no longer in a relationship with Miss Hong.
It read: ?I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl. He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive.?
Hugh dated Elizabeth Hurley for 13 years and remains close to the model – he is the godfather to her son Damien. Following their amicable split he then started dating Jemima Khan for three years. He is currently believed to be single. A spokesperson for Hugh Grant has been contacted for comment.

On one side, it really doesn?t seem like he?s lying to or cheating on these women at all. Like, he?s not a relationship guy and he tells you that upfront. Apparently, he also tells you upfront that he doesn?t use condoms and so be it. If he?s fine supporting multiple baby mamas and having a pleasant ? although physically distant ? relationship with his children, I guess that?s what works for him. To say one nice thing about him? this really doesn?t seem to be a money issue at all. Like, he?s not bitching about child support or anything. He seems generous on that front. But dude? stop getting women pregnant. He became the father of three within less than three years.

Back in November 2011, Hugh Grant announced that he had become a father for the first time when a seemingly brief relationship with Tinglan Hong resulted in an unplanned pregnancy (?), a secret gestation and a surprise birth at some point in October 2011. The way Hugh?s confirmation of his daughter?s birth was written, it really did seem like Hugh and Tinglan Hong had only been together for a few months, and that they were no longer together but we staying on good terms for the sake of the baby. Then back in March of last year, Hugh spoke highly of Tinglan calling her a ?Tiger Mom? and the gist of the whole thing seemed to be that he was financially supporting Tinglan (he bought her a house, etc), but that he didn?t want to give his daughter a trust fund.
So, the whole vibe seemed? slightly unconventional, but not flat-out awful. As it turns out, Hugh and Tinglan weren?t just being nice to each other for the sake of the baby. They were still sort-of seeing each other, at least enough to have more unprotected sex (because why not). Yes, Tinglan got knocked up again, and once again the whole thing was kept secret until now, because she just gave birth. Again. To her second child in 15 months. Hugh confirmed the birth via his Twitter:

Only Hugh Grant could get away with impregnating a woman TWICE and still be able to have a kind of no-strings-attached, let?s-not-get-serious vibe about the whole thing. Are they even ?together?? Does it matter? Ugh!! I mean, congrats to Hugh and Tinglan. I want to know the baby boy?s name. They named their daughter Tabitha Grant (or Tabitha Hong-Grant or something). I bet the boy?s name is something traditional, maybe even Hugh?s beloved father?s name (which is James, a fine name).

This might be one of the most random pieces of gossip ever. Or at least this week. According to Us Weekly, Hugh Grant, the British version of George Clooney, is now a first-time father. What?s bizarre is that Us Weekly seems to have gotten the scoop of this (meaning a wink and a nop from Hugh?s rep), BUT - we have no idea who the mother is, if Hugh adopted or if he just knocked up some girl. Here?s Us Weekly?s report:
Forget any weddings or a funeral — Hugh Grant has a baby to tend to!
The British actor, 51, became a dad for the first time, welcoming a baby girl in early October, a source close to Grant tells Us Weekly exclusively.
Reps could not be reached for comment.
The identity of the baby’s mom has not yet been revealed; back in April, Grant was romantically linked to stunning Chinese actress Tinglan Hong.
“He’s going to be a great dad!” the source tells Us. “He’s beaming about his daughter. He’s not with the mum anymore but he’s absolutely thrilled.”
In 2007, Grant told Vogue he was ready to be a father. “As much as I adore myself, I’m quite keen to find someone else to care about more,” he said. “I remember reading a Warren Beatty quote when he finally had children and said what a relief it was to not be all me, me, me.”
Although the About a Boy actor has never been married, he famously dated fellow Brit Elizabeth Hurley for 13 years before parting amicably in 2000.
He and British writer and socialite Jemima Kahn dated from 2004 to 2007.

Well, this explains why Liz Hurley is looking so eager to be moving on with Shane Warne. Usually, she always has Hugh as a back-up (as in, she knows she could always get back with him, worse comes to worst). As for Hugh and just HOW he?s become a father - my guess is that he knocked up some sort-of girlfriend. Don?t hold me to that! My instinct is that this is more Jude Law than Kristin Davis, you know? Hugh probably didn?t adopt because he felt a paternal urge, he more likely ?accidentally? impregnated some random.
Oh, update! Gossip Cop talked to his rep, who said: ?I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl. He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.? Haha, my instincts were so dead on, right?
That being said, congrats to Hugh! (Is anyone else surprised he hasn?t had a vasectomy? I am. I bet he goes for it now.)

This news came out yesterday, but there are more details today and I couldn’t resist covering it. Apparently Hugh Grant was in talks with Two and a Half Men producers to step in and take the kind of playboy devil-may-care role that was formerly occupied by addict wordsmith Charlie Sheen. As Kaiser wrote in the links, this was a genius idea and a potential win-win that would help this lucrative sitcom continue on with another high profile lead. Grant has been starring in some sh*t movies lately (have you seen Did You Hear About The Morgans?, I did and just for Grant) and his film career has stalled but he still has star power. Unfortunately talks are said to have broken down over the intense work commitment involved, but I’m hoping that he’ll reconsider or that someone leaked this news to gauge interest. With Grant in this show, I’d definitely watch it despite the corny jokes. I still own Four Weddings and a Funeral on VHS. (shameface)
We hear that the idea of Hugh Grant as a replacement for Charlie Sheen in Two And A Half Men was first pitched to CBS boss Les Moonves and CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler about a month ago. After a couple of weeks sorting out the Sheen lawsuit fallout, the two execs blessed the plan and Grant was approached by the producers at Warner Bros. We hear Hugh flew in and had 2 creative meetings. Things were progressing and he had all but a completed deal when he backed out unexpectedly. ‘It was not the money. He didn’t want to do TV because those 24 episodes are a grind and a lot of work. At the end he couldn’t get his head around doing a series.” Another insider tells us that, if Grant committed, “the show could have gotten another 3 to 4 more seasons”.

Initial reports had Grant being offered $1 million an episode, although Deadline has updated with the news that “Warner Bros sources are now saying it was not that much.” The guy has a complicated relationship with fame, and doesn’t like to be in the spotlight at all. He’s been in altercations with paparazzi and recently audiotaped a conversation with a paparazzo after getting him to open up about News of The World routinely bugging celebrities.
I would bet that Grant was just as daunted by the pressure of helming a big series as by the work commitment. Plus, rumor has it that his girlfriend is expecting a baby. (Which could be patently untrue, but still.) It’s a shame, because he’s a fine actor and I’ve missed seeing him on the big screen. I’d watch any crap movie he was in, including a crap show.

I think I knew at one point that Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan had broken up, but I honestly can?t remember. Hugh and Jemima were a lot like Hugh and Liz Hurley - they broke up several times, but still managed to get back together or at least be friendly enough that you thought they were still together. Incidentally, Liz and Jemima look startlingly similar - busty brunettes with great figures, similar facial structure, sort of haughty and naughty at the same time. Anyway, as it turns out, Hugh and Jemima have been done for a while, and now British tabloids are saying Hugh has been with a Chinese girl for months? and the girl might be knocked up! SCANDAL.
He?s a renowned commitment phobic ladies? man, but Hugh Grant seems to have been keeping a secret girlfriend, who may finally tie down the star. The 50-year-old actor has been snapped with 31-year-old Tinglan Hong, who has reportedly been sporting a mystery bump. The Chinese beauty has now sparked rumours that she might be pregnant with Grant?s child, according to the News Of The World.
Hugh and Ting were photographed together last week and have allegedly been dating since January, after meeting each other last year. Ting was seen visiting the About A Boy actor at his 3 million home in West London on Thursday. She then jumped in his 140,000 Ferrari and the couple drove off into the night, according to the tabloid. They were said to have visited a Vietnamese cocktail bar during their date and onlookers saw them deep in serious conversation.
Although Ting?s possible pregnancy is only speculation, Hugh recently spoke out about his desire to start a family. As he turned 50 last year, he said in an interview: ?I should settle down… It?s all my fault. I?ve had some lovely girlfriends. Everyone asks me all the time, particularly women, whether I?m going to have children. I think it would be a good idea. And I wish I had them already. I think it?s a part of life and I should have it. I don?t want to be 70 and alone. I want children to look after me.?
The multi-millionaire has previously dated Elizabeth Hurley for 13 years and Jemima Khan for three years, but has avoided marriage at all costs. But perhaps Miss Hong might be the one to tame Grant, and the actor has previously revealed his attraction to Eastern girls. He said last year after a visit to China: ?I must say I?m very charmed by Chinese women so far. I?ve been here only 24 hours, but I?ve fallen in love four times.?

Yeah? it?s probably crap, although there are photos of Hugh and Tinglan - you can see them here. I can?t make out a bump or anything, they?re dark and grainy. I also think it?s interesting that this report seems to have originated from News of the World, just a short time after Hugh Grant secretly taped a former (?) News of the World paparazzo/journalist who admitted to all of this crazy crap the British tabloids do and did on a regular basis. Is this payback? Who does payback by reporting some random story that a single bachelor impregnated his younger Chinese girlfriend? I mean, it?s interesting, but it?s not a scandal. I could come up with a better ?gotcha? story. Hugh, a Chinese girl, heroin import-export, and a goat. How?s that?!? It’s safe to say that Hugh Grant has some issues with the paparazzi. In just the past few years, he’s hauled off and thumped one over the head with a tub of baked beans as well as kicking a photog in the crotch seemingly just for giggles. To be utterly fair, Grant’s got a pretty understandable reason to dislike the tabloids and their paps, for he was one of the thousands of public figures targeted within the huge wiretapping scandal involving the Rupert Murdoch-owned News of the World and The Sun. That particular scandal went down a couple of years ago, and it’s such a huge mess that we’ll probably not see the end of it for quite some time.
Hugh’s story picks up a few months ago when he was merrily driving along in his Ferrari (he calls it “my midlife crisis car”) and broke down on the side of the road. Shortly thereafter, a bloke stopped to help him but then pulled out a long-lens camera and commenced snapping away. At some point, Hugh realizes that this guy is Paul McMullan, a former News of the World pap and one of the key whistleblowers in the aforementioned wiretapping scandal. McMullan now bides his time running a pub, but that certainly didn’t stop him from selling the photos and story about finding a broken-down Hugh to the Daily Mail.
Hugh then later contacted McMullan and, unbeknownst to the former pap, recorded their conversation, which is now published in New Statesmen for all to see. Amongst many other revelations recorded by Hugh, McMullan actually thanks Hugh for breaking down on the side of the road and helping him make 3000 for the story, and also for being “a very good earner” for him in the past. McMullan goes on to claim that, in the past, Daily Mail was also just as bad about tapping cell phones as the two tabloids that got popped in the wiretapping scandal. He also bemoans the fact that the days of analogue mobiles have since passed, for that was a time when it was incredibly easy to use a cheap scanner and record the full phone conversations of Princess Di, Prince Charles, and the like. The entire article details a rather riveting discussion, which is well worth reading in full, but here are some relevant excerpts pertaining to McMullan’s former employ under NOTW:
Grant: Murdoch, yes . . .
McMullan: So I was sent to do a feature on Moulin Rouge! at Cannes, which was a great send anyway. Basically my brief was to see who Nicole Kidman was shagging - what she was doing, poking through her bins and get some stuff on her. So Murdoch’s paying her five million quid to big up the French and at the same time paying me 5.50 to f*ck her up . . . So all hail the master. We’re just pawns in his game. How perverse is that?
Grant: I suppose the fact that they’re dragging their feet while investigating a mass of phone-hacking - which is a crime - some people would think is a bit depressing about the police.
McMullan: But then - should it be a crime? I mean, scanning never used to be a crime. Why should it be? You’re transmitting your thoughts and your voice over the airwaves. How can you not expect someone to just stick up an aerial and listen in?
Grant: I’d rather no one listened in, to be honest. And I might not be alone there. You probably wouldn’t want people listening to your conversations.
McMullan: I’m not interesting enough for anyone to want to listen in.
Grant: But celebrities you would justify because they’re rich?
McMullan: Yeah. I mean, if you don’t like it, you’ve just got to get off the stage. It’ll do wonders.
Grant: So I should have given up acting?
McMullan: If you live off your image, you can’t really complain about someone . . .
Grant: I live off my acting. Which is different to living off your image.
Him Yeah, but you’re still presenting yourself to the public. And if the public didn’t know you . . .
Grant: They don’t give a sh*t. I got arrested with a hooker and they still came to my films. They don’t give a f*ck about your public image. They just care about whether you’re in an entertaining film or not.
McMullan: That’s true . . . I have terrible difficulty with him [points to pap shot of Johnny Depp]. He’s really difficult. You know, I was in Venice and he was a nightmare to do because he walks around looking like Michael Jackson. And the punchline was . . . after leading everyone a merry dance the film was shot on an open balcony - I mean, it was like - he was standing there in public.
Grant: And you don’t see the difference between the two situations?
McMullan: You can’t hide all the time.
Grant: So you’re saying, if you’re Johnny Depp or me, you don’t deserve to have a private life?
McMullan: You make so much more money. You know, most people in Dover take home about 200 and struggle.

All of these admissions essentially speak for themselves, and the paparazzo comes off looking like a huge douche. Of course celebrities (especially those like Johnny Depp, who would never sell wedding photos to a tabloid) don’t deserve to have their private conversations targeted by hackers. The argument always exists whether people who purposely seek out fame even deserve privacy, and to a degree, they necessarily give some of it up by not being able to walk down a street without having their photograph taken. And of course, they shouldn’t be stupid enough in this day and age to put nude photos on their cell phones, but they don’t deserve to be hacked.

Yesterday, News of the World broke the scandalously delicious story that Elizabeth Hurley was/is fooling around on her husband Arun Nayar. Liz and Arun have been married for three years, although they?ve been together since 2002. He made her wait for a while, and once married, he bought her a big country estate with a farm, and Liz made this big deal about how she was a country girl and all of that. Meanwhile, she went to London at the drop of a hat to attend the opening of an envelope, and Arun didn?t always go with her. Anyway, Liz was screwing around with Shane Warne, who is something of a notorious man-whore. After the NOTW story broke, Liz tweeted that she and Arun had been separated for months, a little tidbit designed, I suppose, to make her look like something other than a chick who just bones any rich guy she meets. Anyway, the British tabloids are all over this, and The Mail is running an interesting piece on the problems within Arun and Liz?s marriage. You might not find this interesting, I know, but I find it fascinating. Liz is now and has always a pretty trashy woman, and it cracks me up that she tries to sell herself as this wronged LADY, don?t you know:
All but her most devoted fans will attest that Liz Hurley is not a particularly good actress. But she and Arun Nayar have made a good job of pretending all was well in their three-year marriage. Only six weeks ago, she did her usual legs-cleavage-smile routine when the couple attended Elton John?s Winter Ball. To those who knew her well, however, yesterday?s announcement that the marriage has been over ?for some months? will have come as little surprise.
It had become increasingly clear behind the scenes that the marriage which started with such an exhausting display of wealth and togetherness in 2007 was on the rocks.
?He was hardly ever with her and she didn?t seem to mind one bit,? said one of her society pals yesterday.
?I?d been hearing that it was over between them for more than a year, but she was always very positive about him when you asked her,? says another.
Perhaps the most significant clue was that this year she and Arun didn?t go on their usual sunshine holiday in October, even though it was her customary birthday present to her husband. Others had noted how Hurley had started taking her new best friend, the gay shoe designer Patrick Cox, to social events instead of her husband. I?m told she has even invited Cox to be her guest at her Gloucestershire home this Christmas, indicating that she had been quietly planning for her first festive season as a single woman. One thing is for sure: though the public expos of her extra-marital fling will have come as an embarrassment, the relationship between her and Nayar was already over when into the vacuum stepped Shane Warne ? precisely the sort of diverting and dangerous company that she had missed so much.
You can see why the attentions of such a notorious womaniser would be catnip to a woman who is not yet ready to let go of her racy image. (You don?t go out braless and in see-through shirts at the age of 45, as she does, if you aren?t in search of a bit of attention from the opposite sex.)
So if this was her little ego-boost after the end of her marriage, when did the troubles begin?
In truth, the union between Hurley and Nayar had always been a fiery one. The couple met in late 2002 but even in the blissful early days of Eurotrash parties and ski-ing at St Moritz there was ?heavy bickering?. Right from the outset, Arun struggled at being seen so much in Liz?s shadow. She, meanwhile, was impatient when it came to his gentle nature. She was especially annoyed by his relaxed approach to securing a divorce from his first wife, the Italian-born model Valentina Pedroni, who was never slow to issue disobliging remarks about Hurley ?stealing? her husband. In the end it took Nayar almost five years to become a free agent, and to be able to give Hurley the wedding of her dreams ? an immense affair at Sudeley Castle, owned by her friend Henry Dent-Brocklehurst, followed by lavish Hindu ceremonies in Rajasthan. (The event was, of course, recorded for posterity over a mere 53 pages in Hello! magazine, which can now add another name to its long list of those whose marriage has been ?cursed? by featuring in the publication.)
Since then the relationship has progressed through several rocky troughs, thanks largely to Hurley?s spectacular temper. She will admit that she is ?nervy? and ?hyper?, whereas Nayar is laid back and gentle. He used to call her ?Minx? because he thought she was intoxicatingly sexy, but full of drama and mischief. She, in return, called him Slick ? a joke about his vanity and taste for the high life. (His collection of expensive watches apparently has to be seen to be believed.) Nayar, an Oxford graduate, gave up a lot to marry the siren of Basingstoke ? principally his playboy lifestyle which revolved around the more expensive European nightclubs and spending January in St Moritz and August in Nice. He was horrified when Hurley wanted to move out of Chelsea and into the country, where Nayar, a moneyed sophisticate who reads the Christie?s catalogue in bed and collects cufflinks, was reduced to acting mostly as La Hurley?s number one employee. (She has eight other staff on hand, should he fall short.)
It?s perhaps no wonder, then, that Nayar has needed to travel to Mumbai to attend to his computer software business regularly. I?m told he has recently been there for at least one week in four, and sometimes considerably more than that. As a result, locals in Gloucestershire have been convinced for some time that all was not well in the relationship. The talk in their circle was that Arun was fatally unglamorous, and did not, in the end, manage to fulfil his high-maintenance wife?s expectations.
His relative lack of financial success is said to have been a bit of a strain, too. They reportedly relied on Hurley?s income from Estee Lauder, for whom she continues to model, to finance their fancy holidays. One time, he even flew using her Airmiles. For Nayar, too, life in Britain was becoming a bit of a let-down. In Mumbai, he still has considerable social cachet ? he?s the heir to a textiles fortune and his family are well known. In Britain, he was simply Mr Liz Hurley. And of course, there had always been a third person in the Hurley/Nayar marriage from the outset, namely Hugh Grant, who has lived at their home for extended periods, and holidays with the couple every August. In an interview this year, Hurley admitted: ?My overall best friend is Hugh. There is a part of my life neither Arun nor my sister Katie understand; a career part and a different emotional level where Hugh is still my number one. We?ve been best friends for 24 years and that?s not nothing.?
She denies that there is even a faint flutter of sexual jealousy on any side, blustering: ?We?re all grown up, and if I wanted to be with Hugh, we would be together.? But many were left wondering what marriage can accommodate a bond like that. On a more practical level, as Nayar struggled to keep his business going during the global financial crisis, his wife had seldom been busier. She has concluded the filming of a Living TV fly-on-the-wall documentary about her particularly glammed up version of country life, and recently launched her own range of snack bars and beef jerky. Then there?s her range of swimwear, which she continues to promote. (Her Christmas card this year features her in a tiny bronze bikini from the Liz Hurley Beach collection, posing with a family of polar bears.)
Day to day, her brother Michael helps her to run her organic 400-acre farm, with its Old Spot pigs and Herdwick sheep, but it is an exhausting and time-consuming business. She also has Damian, her eight-year-old son by former boyfriend Steve Bing, to look after. She is devoted to ?Master D? as she calls him, and feeds him his tea while juggling the multiple demands of her empire.
Which brings us to one other major sadness in her marriage: the couple?s failure to have a baby. She admitted that she and Nayar had been trying for years without any luck. Now that she is 45 she had started to accept that any further children were unlikely. ?Arun would love one,? she said recently. ?And I think it would be great if one came along. But we?re grateful for what we?ve got.?
She said Nayar was a ?full father figure? to her son. ?Damian calls him daddy. He knows he?s not his blood father. He?ll sometimes forget, though, and say, ?Tell me again why dad?s brown and we?re so white?. And I?ll say, ?He?s not blood, remember?.?
That remark may have been casually made, but it does bear testimony to Liz Hurley?s instinct for independence. Her friends have long admired her ability to do it all on her own ? the modelling, the mothering and the earning. But as her marriage ends, it means of course that she has absolutely nothing to lose now that she?s moving on.

God, this is good. Money, lies, babies, deceit, fame, and Hugh Grant endlessly hanging around as the third wheel. I?m telling you, Liz is crazy. It?s insane to me that Arun ever married her - what the hell was he thinking? Her blow jobs can?t be that good, you know.
Oh, and this Shane Warne guy just announced that his on-again/off-again marriage is over too. I think the woman is technically his ex-wife, but they were living together in Australia.

When I first read this story, I thought it was about Hugh Grant attacking someone with cake, and I thought to myself, ?How fey, how English, how Hugh!? But it turns out, Hugh was the one who attacked by a rogue slice of chocolate cake. Not so rogue, as it was Hugh?s former PR man Matthew Freud who did the cake throwing/smearing. Hugh and Matthew have apparently been fighting for years, and when Hugh called Matthew some name (my guess: wanker, tosser, or c-cksucker), Freud attacked Hugh with a slice of cake. Then nothing happened for a few minutes, and then Hugh hauled off and punched Matthew. Wow! I didn?t know Hugh was so ballsy. But I should expected it after the baked bean incident, and that time he kicked a paparazzo in the nads:
When two grown men want to settle their differences, it sometimes comes to blows. Matthew Freud apparently prefers a big slice of chocolate of cake. Which is how Hugh Grant ended up with chocolate and crumbs smeared all over his impeccable white shirt at a society party.
The disagreement didn’t stop there. Grant, 49, is alleged to have responded by punching Freud’s cheek, leaving the PR guru wearing sunglasses the next day. But Freud, in turn, got his own revenge, somehow tracking down a picture of Grant’s stained shirt and emailing it to friends. Grant ended up changing out of his shirt and was given another one to wear by nightclub staff.
The extraordinary spat happened at socialite Heather Kerzner’s 41st birthday party at Annabel’s nightclub in London on Wednesday night. The wife of casino billionaire Sol Kerzner was holding a joint celebration with Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, Sir Michael Caine, shoe designer Patrick Cox and Tracey Emin’s boyfriend Scott Douglas.
According to a fellow guest, the flareup took place after a female guest asked Grant if he would like to meet Freud. In fact, the two men have known each other for more than 20 years. Freud, 46, represented Grant way back in the days when he found stardom in Four Weddings and a Funeral and during the scandal over his visit to a prostitute in the U.S. in 1995. But they appear to have fallen out in the intervening years.
Grant apparently replied that he had no desire to speak to Freud and allegedly used an expletive to describe him. Freud, who was standing nearby and heard the alleged insult, then smeared chocolate cake down Grant’s shirt.
‘I saw a lot of white shirt and before I could stop myself it was all brown,’ he told friends afterwards.
There was a brief lull before Grant allegedly threw a punch.
In the subsequent melee, a glass of wine was also thrown - which ended up over London nightclub owner Johnny Gold. As guests watched the pair in astonishment, Freud, who had attended the party with wife Elisabeth Murdoch, decided to make a dignified exit.
Grant, though, was not quite ready to call it a night. He changed into a clean shirt supplied by the nightclub and chatted to guests, including his former girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley. He told Mrs Kerzner he hoped his disagreement had not ruined her evening. One guest said: ‘He was a total gentleman, a 21st century David Niven.’ Ever the PR man though, Freud was not to be outdone. In the aftermath, he secured a photograph of Grant’s stained shirt and then emailed it to friends.
Referring to Miss Hurley’s famous appearance in a Versace ’safety pin’ dress at the Four Weddings premiere, he added the message: ‘That dress becomes that shirt.’
Freud told friends: ‘I’m a pacifist, I only throw cakes, he’s a scrapper. There were no heroes last night.’
According to a friend of the PR man, the pair fell out some years ago over a male friend of Freud’s.
‘Matthew knew Grant when all his friends called him “Hughie”, no one calls Hugh that these days,’ the friend said.
Freud represented Grant up until his relationship with heiress Jemima Khan ended. ‘Then came the bust-up over the friend and that was the end of their relationship.’

I would like to think that the two men were fighting over the lovely lass known as Jemima Khan, but I doubt it. Hugh and Jemima dated off and on for years, but I have no idea about any connection she would have to Freud. Most likely the fight was just about boy sh-t. Which basically means that instead of rubbing cake all over their glistening, writhing bodies, they should have just whipped out their junk and compared sizes like real men.

Two of my favorite people in the world were in the same room together, and one of them was drunk! So says Hugh Grant (the drunk one), who told Access Hollywood a fabulous little story about the Queen. Apparently, he had a few and decided to ask Her Majesty about her true feelings on the paparazzi, and whether she ever felt like giving a photographer a good smack. Her reaction? ?No, I don?t and don?t tell Harry.? Ha! To be fair to the Queen, it?s not like she gets photographed coming out some hip club in the middle of the night (although, how cool would that be?). Prince Harry?s relationship to the paparazzi is entirely different than the Queen?s. The Queen is not only protected 24 hours a day by lots of armed guards, she doesn?t really go to places where the hot celebrities are.
In ?Did You Hear About The Morgans?,? the normally well-dressed Hugh Grant strips down to a very uncharacteristic shorts and T-shirt look. Hugh shows off some toned legs and fit forearms in his new film, and Access Hollywood?s Billy Bush found out how the heartthrob got them in shape.
?I have a wonderful Swedish girl, she?s a model, who takes me to the park, thrice a week,? Hugh told Billy of his workout routine.
Hugh said his toned frame is the result of a blood pumping workout.
?[She] throws sticks for me like a dog and makes me pick up heavy things and it has made me a bit butcher than I used to be,? he explained.
While workouts get the Brit revved up, it?s something else entirely that gets his blood boiling ? the paparazzi. In fact, Hugh revealed he once badmouthed the snappers during a chat with Britain?s Queen.
?I was introduced to The Queen. She was charming and I said ? I was a bit drunk ? I said, ?Do you ever get annoyed by paparazzi? Do you ever get tempted to whack them with your bag??? he revealed. ?And she said (in a Queen-style voice), ?No I don?t and don?t tell Harry.? Because of course, her grandson, Harry, feels the same way as I do about paps and often gives them a whack.?
Hugh expressed sympathy with the Royal Family, who are increasing paparazzi targets, due in part to the love lives of The Queen?s grandsons, William and Harry.
?They?ve certainly made the life of her family a bit of a misery,? Hugh said of the paps Royal Family focus. ?She?s just got tough about it recently because one of her homes out in Kent, they put their long lenses over the walls and take pictures.They?re really just trying to get Prince William and [his longtime girlfriend], Kate Middleton.?
As for his own troubles with the paparazzi, Hugh made light of some of the things he?s done in the past when he?s found photographers in places he didn?t quite expect.
?Well our understanding is that I hit them, I kick them and then I get arrested. It?s happened twice in the last two years. That works quite well,? he told Billy sarcastically.

I always thought Hugh was a monarchist, bless his heart. He probably gets weepy for the Queen?s Christmas address, and ten bucks says he?s had at least one sex dream about Her Majesty. Ah, Hugh. I?d love to get drunk with him. I imagine it would involve a lot of prank phone calls, celebrity impressions and breast fondling. I?m totally game for that.
Speaking of Hugh and drinking, over the weekend he told another funny story about one liquor-soaked night in which he ended up buying a famous Andy Warhol painting on a whim:
Hugh Grant has confessed he was drunk when he bought a painting of Elizabeth Taylor that later made him an 11million profit.
The actor was lauded as an art connoisseur when he bought the work by Andy Warhol for 2million. And he was praised as a master of timing when he sold it six years later for 13million. But the star has now admitted that his windfall had little to do with an eye for art.
Grant, 49, had been on a two-day drinking spree when he ordered an assistant to bid for the painting at an auction in New York. He said: ‘And to my horror, she did, and even worse, got it.’
He added: ‘It all began with drink. I’d been having a drunken dinner with my father the night before, and I said, “We ought to go see my brother Jamie. You know, the Concorde’s amazing. And he said, “I hear it is.” So I bought him a Concorde ticket and we went. We had lunch, drank a lot of beer. And I was thinking about some stuff in the Sotheby’s auction and I saw the Liz Taylor. I slightly regret selling it now, even though it made me rich.’
The actor admitted not all of his drunken gestures were as well rewarded. Far from enjoying the supersonic trip to New York, his father was unimpressed. Grant said: ‘Halfway across the Atlantic, he’s saying, “Well, it’s all very nice, but frankly I prefer Air Kuwait” - his usual way of getting to New York.’
