Treating herself to a little retail therapy, Fergie Duhamel showed up at Maxfield boutique in West Hollywood on Thursday afternoon (October 17).
The ?Big Girls Don?t Cry? songstress also stopped at a baby clothing store to pick up some duds for her little boy Axl before heading over to her doctor?s office for a quick checkup.
Meanwhile, Fergie?s hubby Josh Duhamel recently told press that things are going quite well for the new mommy.
?She is doing so great. She really is. She is happy. She looks amazing ? and she looks probably better than she did before. I don?t know if it?s because of what she?s been eating or what, she looks really, really great.?

Was Fergie all up in our faces with her pregnancy? I can?t really tell. Like, she?s a big enough star where she can go by one name and every media outlet reported on her baby shower, but still? it felt like we weren?t being inundated with endless ?I?m having a great pregnancy!? interviews. Anyway, Fergie and Josh Duhamel checked into an LA hospital yesterday, reportedly to have a scheduled C-section. And now they?re parents to son Axl. Axl Jack Duhamel. Ugh. I can?t.
Welcome to the world, baby Duhamel! Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie gave birth to her first child with husband Josh Duhamel, a baby boy, on Thursday, Aug. 29, in L.A., a rep confirms to Us Weekly. Axl Jack Duhamel weighed in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces, the rep tells Us.
Married since 2009, the couple have been eagerly anticipating their little bundle of joy’s birth for weeks. At the Hollywood premiere of Duhamel’s new movie, Scenic Route, on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the 40-year-old actor said they were packed and ready to go to the hospital at a moment’s notice.
“We do have a bag ready but just not here,” he told Us. “So he’s going to have to wait. He’s going to have to wait until next week.”
The star also spoke recently about how well his wife had been handling her first pregnancy. “I’m mostly impressed with how gracefully…I mean she’s just been awesome throughout this whole thing,” he gushed on Aug. 15. “She’s taken really good care of herself, she’s happy, she’s in great spirits, she looks beautiful and I’m just really proud of her more than anything. And I’m really excited to meet this little dude. I can’t wait.”
That said, he’s not sure he’s entirely ready for how much his life is about to change. Appearing on The Tonight Show two nights before Fergie gave birth, the dad-to-be admitted to having some last-minute pre-baby jitters.
“You know, I gotta tell you, I’m a little bit nervous,” he told Jay Leno. “I thought that I was going to be good. I thought that I was ready for this, and I’m a little bit terrified. I’m excited and terrified, because I am responsible for this little thing. Forever.”

So, what are the thoughts on the name? You know what offends me? The laziness of the ?Jack?. It seems like every other celebrity names their son ?Jack?. I?m sure there are at least a dozen Jacks or Jacksons in every kindergarten class in LA right now. Now, is ?Axl? a proper alternative to the laziness of the Jack? I don?t know. I just flat-out hate it though. Axl Duhamel sounds like a car part. ?You see, honey, the Axl Duhamel is causing a problem with your brake line, it will cost $2000 to fix it.?
Anyway, congrats to the new parents and baby Axl.

Thoroughly enjoying the wait for the arrival of her first child, Fergie attended another baby shower in her honor in West Hollywood on Saturday (August 17).
The Blacked Eyed Peas singer stretched a red floral dress over her bulging baby bump with matching flowers in her hair and white heels as she chatted with her guests.
Posting a selfie of her floral attire, the 38-year-old songstress tweeted, "earth mommy." Just last week, the mama-to-be celebrated with family, tweeting, "Thank u Pam 4 the amazing family #babyshower 4 me & @BHardonk."
Making way for her child with hubby Josh Duhamel to join the family, on Friday she officially changed her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel.

Fergie, real name Stacy Ann Ferguson, will soon be known as Fergie, real name Fergie Duhamel. The Black Eyed Peas singer is petitioning the court after four and a half years of marriage to legally change her name to Fergie Duhamel.
According to papers, she wants the name change in order to “conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years.” No doubt as a preventative measure to not being the butt of Stacy’s mom jokes after she pops that baby out. *Starts humming*
For this to happen, she needs to publish a notice in a local newspaper for four consecutive weeks like Ron Artest had to do when he became Metta World Peace. And then sacrifice a virgin to the head of her record label.

Inspired by her impending bundle of joy, Fergie headed to a recording studio in Santa Monica, California on Saturday (June 15).
The Black Eyed Peas frontwoman bumped along in a white graphic t-shirt, black leather pants, and a white jacket as she made her way inside.
Though she seems hard at work, the 38-year-old songstress shares that she doesn't have specifics in mind as far as albums go.
Enjoying her break and pregnancy, Fergie said, "I'm always writing, but there's no current plans for a solo record or a Black Eyed Peas record,' the singer revealed. I was on tour for eight years. My brain's not really there right now. It's kind of just a machine that kept on moving with no signs of stopping. Finally, it's break time."

Looking to find the perfect nesting spot before the arrival of their little one, Fergie and Josh Duhamel went house hunting in Brentwood, CA on Friday (May 31).
The pregnant Black Eyed Peas front woman looked ready for spring in a colorful maxi dress and blue jacket while her handsome hubby opted for a more casual look in a tshirt and ball cap.
Although Fergie is still awaiting the birth of her first kiddo, she got a little bit of advice from another famous first-time mama who just welcomed her son a few months ago.
While on the red carpet for "The Voice," Shakira shared her thoughts of wisdom with Latina, saying, "Be patient with yourself, cut yourself some slack. Not everything is perfect the first month, there are gonna be a lot of things you have to figure out as you go."
Adding in one last humorous side to the actual labor process, the Colombian songstress joked, "You're gonna look like a Shar Pei when you get out of the delivery room but don't worry things get back to normal."

Ecstatic about her loyal fans, on Tuesday the mommy-to-be marked a milestone, tweeting, "10 Million on Facebook! WHHHAAAATTT!?!!!! Thank u!!! Don't 4get 2 follow me on Instagram too."
