There?s all kinds of domestic bliss going on in Kristen Bell's household, and as she prepares to give birth to her second child with Dax Shepard, she?s back in craving mode.
The ?Veronica Mars? mommy told Us Weekly, "I just like food. If it can be digested, chances are I'll want it. Pretty much what I normally eat, which is fairly healthy, but I give in a lot more to cravings.?
?It occurs to me more often how delicious Kettle chips are when I'm pregnant. I give into my cravings more often because if I'm not going to do it now, when will I do it?"
Still, that doesn?t mean she?s ignoring her physical fitness- "I've been more active this pregnancy I think because I chase around a toddler. I really benefited from applying prenatal yoga.?
And it sounds like her daughter Lincoln can?t wait to get a baby sibling- "She's very interested in the shape of my belly. Very interested in offering it water and crackers and giving it smooches. She could just be mimicking what we're doing but I have a hunch she knows what's happening."

Kristen Bell is pregnant with her second child with husband Dax Shephard. The couple already has daughter Lincoln, 18 months, and is expecting a second child. (I assume Kristen is due around Christmas because she announced in June.) In a new interview with People, Kristen talked about her easy pregnancy and about how her daughter, Lincoln, is a champ with sign language.
?[She can say] a lot of two-syllable words, but she signs mostly because she?s really good at it,? the actress told PEOPLE at This Party Saves Lives event hosted by her company, This Bar Saves Lives, on Thursday night.
She adds, ?People recommend doing signs because the baby can communicate with you and say, ?I want an apple? or ?Look at the black dog,? and you can actually form sentences.?
While Lincoln works on her signing skills, Bell, 34, and husband Dax Shepard, 39, are preparing for the upcoming arrival of their second child. The actress says her pregnancy has fortunately been a breeze ? just like her first.
?Thank my lucky stars, it?s been a virtually identical pregnancy,? she shares. ?Pregnancy can be really hard for women, and I?m lucky that I?m not really symptomatic. I?m okay with being on my feet and I?m lucky that my body feels really good.?
Her secret to a feel-good pregnancy? Yoga.
?I?ve found pre-natal yoga to be really unbelievably therapeutic,? she explains. ?The days that I do it ? even I find in my mental attitude ? I?m so much happier. All pregnancy really does is contract your body in these weird ways, so that?s one thing I?ve tried to commit to.?
And while she typically maintains a healthy lifestyle, the mom-to-be has been known to occasionally indulge in what she loves most: snacks.
?I suppose I give in to more cravings because I eat pretty healthy normally, but I?ll give into a lot more snack food and potato chips here and there because why not,? Bell says.
Fortunately, the family has found a fall favorite that has plenty of flavor without the added sugar.
?The whole family is really into organic honey crisp apples in the fall ? I know that sounds weirdly specific,? Bell shares. ?We try to stay away from sugar and when you haven?t had a ton of sugar in a while, having an organic honey crisp apple feels like you?re having a Snickers bar.?

I taught my son sign language and I remember him using basic signs for things back when he was about one. (That’s when he first “got it”) He would use the signs for simple things like bird, dog, eat or drink. It wasn’t a big deal and he didn’t graduate to full sentences, we encouraged him to speak more than sign. It can be great for a child’s development to learn how to sign.
Some commenters on People are trashing Kristen for trying to protect her daughter’s privacy on one hand (by not allowing paparazzi to photograph her) yet telling personal stories about her. I disagree that there’s disconnect between those two topics. Celebrities can talk about their children and not want them to be recognized. It makes sense that Kristen and Dax want to protect their daughter.
Also, that’s nice that she’s working with This Bar Saves Lives. It’s a snack company that donates a pack of food to children in the third world for every bar that’s purchased. I watched their concept video and it really got me.
Kaiser pointed me to this cute commercial for Samsung that Kristen did with Dax. It’s very cute and well done, but it doesn’t make me want a Samsung. I pretty much do the same thing daily with iPads.

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Kristen Bell headed over to LA Live in Los Angeles for the 2nd Annual Lexus Short Films shindig last night (July 30).
The pregnant ?Veronica Mars? starlet looked gorgeous in a navy dress as she attended the premiere of ?Life is Amazing? and smiled for the cameras.
Kristen is starring in a limited-run revival of ?Hair? at the Hollywood Bowl from August 1st-3rd under the direction of Adam Shankman.
She told press, "I think that it still has resonance now for people who are anti-violence, or anti certain war involvements. There?s a lot of strong emotions that go along with that and I think this show, in its weird nonlinear way, attempts to show the strong feelings that are involved.?

Toting along her growing baby bump, Kristen Bell stepped out in Beverly Hills, CA earlier this week (July 17).
The expecting ?Veronica Mars? babe enjoyed a nice pampering session at Bryon & Tracey Salon, but wasn?t in the mood for photos as she headed back to her car in the sunny parking lot.
Meanwhile, Miss Bell recently opened up to People about expecting her second baby and how it?s difficult to take focus off her daughter Kennedy.
?It?s hard to take focus off her and think about the second baby, even though the second baby is here and growing,? the 33-year-old actress explained.
?I?ve never been so interested in anything in my entire life,? Kristen adds. ?I have heard parents say that when you have a second child, your love doesn?t divide, it multiplies, so I have confidence that will happen.?

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have confirmed that they are expecting another child. Kristen just had daughter Lincoln in March of last year, so this news is definitely surprising. Their rep told Entertainment Tonight that “I can confirm that Kristen and Dax are expecting their second child and a sibling for Lincoln. The whole family is beyond excited.”
This makes me wonder if their second baby was planned or if it was unexpected, not that it matters! It sounds like they’re very happy at the news. If Kristen is about three months pregnant (unknown, but I’m assuming) that would mean that she got pregnant again just around a year after her daughter was born. Lincoln will have a little brother or sister less than two years younger than she is.
Kristen did a recent interview with Redbook, predating her pregnancy announcement. She talked about the “no kids” paparazzi photo policy that she and Dax have advocated for. Kristen said many celebrities have told her that it made a difference to them and their families:
On the no kids policy
It?s affected us quite a bit, actually. We simply aren?t followed anymore. We have peace, quiet, and the ability to be a normal family out and about in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
On what other celebrities have told her about the no kids policy
I?ve had quite a few people say it?s quite literally changed their day-to-day lives because their child isn?t as paranoid, since they?re not being followed by groups of strangers. It?s also impacted them for the better, because they?re finally allowed to be normal during the day. Michelle Williams has told me it?s made quite a difference, which makes me very grateful because I think she?s gotten the brunt of a lot of it. Jennifer Garner has said it?s made a difference. Hearing those kinds of things and knowing how much worse their kids have gotten it makes me very happy.
On if she’s raising her daughter vegetarian (Kristen is vegetarian)
No, she?s still a baby, so we don?t know what she eats yet. But I don?t plan on raising her in any specific way. I plan on letting her make her own choices.
On the controversy over breastfeeding in public
Get over it! They?re just boobs! Calm down. They?re under our shirt whether you?re looking at them or not.
On if she takes selfies
I don?t, actually. Selfies make me very uncomfortable. I took one for this [the #EveryDayMoments event] because I wanted to participate, but I don?t take them on a normal basis because I feel? It feels so narcissistic to me.

Kristen will speak her mind, you can definitely give her credit for that. In terms of the no kids policy, Kristen softened her stance a few months ago to say that it was ok for celebrities to give permission for their child to be photographed. (Her husband, Dax, disagreed with that in an essay he wrote for The Huffington Post.) I like how candid and outspoken she is, particularly when she’s talking about breastfeeding and about raising her daughter. You can tell she’s a very concerned, involved mom. It did rub some people the wrong way when she and Dax spoke out against the paparazzi, but it sounds like it made a difference for the celebrity children who were most affected by it, and that’s what matters. Congratulations to Kristen and Dax on their happy news!

The CMT Music Awards aired last night. Kristen Bell hosted, and there were five stages and many performances by acts like John Legend, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert (both of whom won awards) and Jennifer Nettles. A video recap is on CMT.com, and you can watch the videos of the winners and performances there as well. US Weekly has a full list of the nominees and winners. We’ll mostly be focusing on the fashion here.
First off we have host Kristen Bell in Zuhair Murad. This is Kristen’s third year hosting the CMTs, I guess she really loves country music, and she joked ahead of the gig that it wasn’t hard work and that she just changes outfits and reads from a Teleprompter. As far as her red carpet gown, this is an amazing dress with interesting contemporary details. I love the geometric blue sequin lines and hexagonal shapes. There’s something sporty about the deep v neck, but maybe that’s just how she’s standing.
During her hosting duties, Bell changed into two other black sequin gowns, both by Monique Lhullier. All the gowns were individually very pretty and interesting enough but taken as a whole it was somewhat of a letdown. She could have switched it up. Here are Bell’s other two dresses.

Kellie Pickler brought the color in a magenta Lorena Sarbu gown with a chiffon tail of a train. I love Kellie, she’s such a great sport and she has a big heart. I remember how she shaved her hair in solidarity with her friend who was suffering from breast cancer. (I wonder how her friend is doing.) So that’s why I’m sad to see her in this kind of standard gown with her bolt-ons on full display. Plus that frosty makeup has got to go. You can do better, Kellie!
Jennifer Nettles, on the other hand, worked a sleeveless Halston Heritage sequin top with some white Katharine Kidd wide pants. This is an incredible look and her styling is excellent. This is how you do bangs, and if I could look like this with bangs I would get them. Nettles performed “All of Me” with John Legend and Hunter Hayes and that performance is getting a lot of praise.
Actress Kate Walsh was there for some reason, and I’m only covering her because I LOVE her character on Fargo. Fargo took a weird turn this week, jumping ahead a year for some reason. I’m not sure I’m as into the show as I was a couple of episodes ago, but the characters are what makes it and Kate brings it every week as a trashy, drunken widow. This really fug dress is Naeem Khan, and that designer is hit or miss. This is definitely a miss with that huge white brocade pineapple thing across the front, down the hem and into the fan train. How did this thing ever get made?
I’m also including Kacey Musgraves, she did a tribute to Alan Jackson and performed ‘Livin’ on Love,’ with Lee Ann Womack. You can see their performance here. I don’t have an ID on Kacey’s dress but it’s a typical ball gown look. I do like the thick line of sequins across the bustline. Kacey was nominated for Female Video of The Year, for “Follow Your Arrow,” which went to Miranda Lambert.
Cassadee Pope wore a custom Theia creation with a bizarre striped fringed crop top and a shocking Pink skirt. This seems to be popular now, pairing a crop top with a long, full skirt, and more often than not I dislike the look. They loved this ensemble over at Red Carpet Fashion Awards, but to me it’s bizarre.
Finally here’s The Band Perry working a lot of majestic hair. They won Group Video of The Year, for “Done.”

Getting ready to take the stage once again, Kristen Bell chatted about her hosting gig for tonight's (June 4) 2014 CMT Music Awards.
Tending to press duties in Nashville, TN, the "Frozen" star said that emceeing the live event is ?not be the hardest job in America.?
Miss Bell previously hosted with Toby Keith and Jason Aldean, and is going solo tonight. During her chat, Kristen talked about her duties and said, "In truth what I do during the show is change into a variety of fancy outfits and read a Teleprompter.?
Bell further discussed her love for country music and explained, "I think it's the most melodic of all the genres and they are easy songs to memorize 'cause they are telling a story, and as a storyteller I gravitate toward that."

Kristen Bell poses completely nude in the May 2014 issue ofAllure… covered in sand. Aww, god dammit. This was all part ofAllure’s much anticipated annual nude shoot which included other celebs like Minnie Driver, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Nia Long. Kristen Bell had the best shot though because of some fantastic side boob.
“My belly skin has made me self-conscious, and it’s only gotten worse since I’ve had a baby,” says the 33-year-old actress (House of Lies, Veronica Mars). “I have definitely and happily used a body double. It’s a very nice thing to be able to rely on.” So why pose nude for Allure less than a year after having her baby? “I talk a big game about being comfortable no matter my size,” she says. “I wanted to put my money where my mouth was.”
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they could photoshop any loose skin off her and smooth out the rest. Also, it’sa little disingenuous when she talks about “being comfortable no matter my size” considering 90% of women would kill to have her bodyespecially after having a babylike her. It’s like when you meet a really attractive person and they talk about how they’reinsecure about their rough hands. Um, ok, lady. You already made me jizz my pants. I don’t think rough hands is going to be a problem here.

Enjoying a night out for a good cause, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard attended the Light Up the Blues concert in Los Angeles on Saturday (April 5).
Glowing in a floral embellished black frock, the "Frozen" actress posed with her hubby on the red carpet outside the Theatre at Ace Hotel before heading in for the festivities.
Benefiting Autism Speaks, the event featured musical talents such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, John Mayer, Don Felder and Brandi Carlile.
Per the charity's website, proceeds from the Light Up The Blues concert will go towards Autism Speaks? research and advocacy efforts for families and individuals impacted by the disorder.
