Always up for a little charity work, Eva Longoria kicked off the Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup in Miami Beach on Friday evening (October 16).
Having flown into town the previous evening, the “Desperate Housewives” actress looked beautiful in blue as she spoke to attendees at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel about the PADRES Contra El Cncer backed fundraising effort.
Meanwhile, Eva recently visited Washington DC as art of Hispanic Heritage Month, where she urged Congress to “take on” the issue of illegal immigration.
“I think there needs to be a sophisticated dialogue about what needs to happen with immigration but the main thing is it needs to be happen,” she told CNSNews. “And also, there needs to be education about the current system and how it’s not working and this has been on the national agenda for 10 years, so it’s time to take it on.”

Continuing her efforts in the nation’s capital, Eva Longoria got all glammed up as she spent the evening at the White House on Tuesday (October 13).
Joining President Barack Obama and her fellow Latino celebrities, the “Desperate Housewives” beauty was on hand to host the In Performance at the White House: Fiesta Latina event alongside George Lopez and Jimmy Smits.
According to press reports, the concert included sets by Gloria Estefan and Aventura - with it being part of a music series launched by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Earlier in the day, Eva was out on Capitol Hill in an effort to voice her support for the proposed National Museum of the American Latino.

Brightening up the nation’s capital, Eva Longoria looked radiant in red as she walked to a press conference on Capitol Hill in Washington DC on Monday (October 13).
Having flown into town earlier in the morning, the “Desperate Housewives” actress made the trip out east to speak about Hispanic Heritage as part of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Aside from her DC press duties, Eva recently spoke about her disliking for shooting love-making scenes as part of her “Desperate Housewives” role.
“I’m not a fan of sex scenes and love scenes - everybody knows this!” she told ABC. “Ricardo and I hate kissing because he’s like my brother. He got interviewed and they go, ‘How does it feel to kiss Eva Longoria every day?’ and he goes, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah...’ and I’m sitting there and I go, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah?! Could you say something else?!’”

She’s no stranger to a travel-intensive lifestyle, and early this morning (October 13) Eva Longoria was spotted arriving in Washington D.C.
The “Desperate Housewives” hottie looked a bit tuckered out as she made her way through the terminal after landing, having taken the red eye from LAX.
And it has been a busy couple of days for Eva as she was spotted at the 13th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival on Sunday night (October 11).
Ms. Longoria lit up the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre with her smile as she mingled with industry bigwigs and fellow celebrities throughout the night.

She’s always up for a swanky evening out, and last night (October 11) Eva Longoria was spotted at the opening night of the 13th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival.
The “Desperate Housewives” actress was all smiles as she arrived at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood to kick off the night’s festivities.
During the course of the evening, the Gabi Lifetime Achievement Award Gala honored the contributions of Latino actors and actresses.
And of course, Ms. Longoria looked stunning as she mingled with fellow guests, sporting a black and silver halter-style dress with black heels.

Working her way into the weekend, Eva Longoria was busy on the set of “Desperate Housewives” in Glendale, California on Friday (October 2).
The Gabrielle Solis actress shot a few scenes for her hit show inside of a church, fresh off of a late night out at Beso the previous evening.
As for “Desperate Housewives,” you can catch an all-new episode titled “Being Alive” when it airs on ABC at 9/8C on Sunday, October 4th.
Per the show’s Web site, a plot synopsis tells: “Lynette withholds a secret from Susan, Gaby gives niece Ana advice on how to get a guy’s attention, Bree worries how her affair with Karl will affect her friendship with Susan, and Angie is determined to protect her son and her family’s past.”

Fresh from a relaxing time in France, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker were out in Los Angeles, CA last night (September 25).
The “Desperate Housewives” actress looked pretty in jeans and a white top while her basketball player hubby rocked a t-shirt and jacket.
The happy couple stopped by Ms Longoria’s popular eatery, Beso, where she makes frequent trips to ensure her restaurant is up to par.
As previously reported, the beautiful brunette has decided to head back to school. She is set to enroll in a master’s program in Chicano studies and political science in order to learn more about her Mexican roots.
