Having moved beyond her troubled past, Nicole Richie isn’t letting her past misdoings impact her current endeavors.
Featured in the March 2010 issue of Marie Claire UK, the former “Simple Life” star tells, “You know, I’m one to live in the present and enjoy the time that I’m having.”
The 28-year-old, who has two children - Harlow and Sparrow - adds, “Going back into my past is just not something that I do. Right now, I’m living my dreams. To me, I’ve accepted responsibility for what I’ve done and I don’t really try and look at why I did it.
Making a name for herself in the jewelry market with House of Harlow, Nicole continues, “I just feel that I have gotten past it and moved on, and it’s just something that’s not really a part of my life anymore.”

Enjoying a relaxing afternoon outing, Nicole Richie was spotted making her way around Studio City, California on Tuesday (February 2).
Sporting a cute and casual outfit, the former “Simple Life” star donned some really long jeans and a baggy top while hitting up a sushi restaurant with a gal pal.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Nicole, husband Joel Madden and their daughter Harlow participated in the remake of “We Are the World” last night alongside her father Lionel Richie.
Tweeting about the experience, Miss Richie jokingly wrote, “I hope Jennifer Hudson wasn’t upset that I was out-singing her tonight.”

Leaving the two kids with a babysitter, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted out at Antonio “LA” Reid’s Post-Grammy Dinner in Los Angeles last night (January 31).
The “Simple Life” mommy and her rocker beau looked fabulous as they hit up Cecconi’s Restaurant to check out the star-studded action.
Nicole donned a shimmery violet-colored dress along with her bangy brunette hairdo, while Joel stuck to his usual all-black ensemble.
While mingling, Joel and Nicole ran into fellow celebu-parents Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony who also looked to be enjoying some time away from parental responsibilities.

Taking offense to claims that she once suffered from anorexia, Nicole Richie says that that’s simply not the case.
“It was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t,” Nicole said during an interview with Marie Claire.
The 28-year-old adds, “It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible. An eating disorder is serious and it’s a disease. I don’t think you can lightly say someone has a disease unless they are openly telling you that they do.”
As for life as a mother of two since the recent birth of baby Sparrow, Nicole tells, “I’m just one to live in the present and enjoy the time that I’m having. Going into my past is just not something that I do. Right now I’m just living my dreams.”

I’m sure you lay awake at night worrying about it, but now you can finally rest easy — Nicole Richie never actually had an eating disorder after all. The Daily Mail says
Nicole has come forward [in the March issue of Marie Claire UK] to reassure fans she has always been healthy [and] blast critics who had accused her of suffering from an eating disorder, [saying], “I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don?t. It?s extremely insulting and irresponsible.”
Nicole revealed she is naturally skinny and finds it difficult to put on weight. “When I was heavier, everyone said I was too heavy,” [she said]. “You can’t win in the public eye and I find it really hard. So I ignore it now, I really do.”
I guess “ignoring it” really means “discussing it at length it in a two-page article in an major women’s magazine with an international fan base.” Someone should really tell my ex-boyfriend that’s he’s been doing it all wrong for the last two months.

Nicole Richie is the March 2010 cover girl for Marie Claire UK, and these are some of the sultry photos from the shoot. I think Nicole looks lovely here - I love the dark, rich brunette hair, and her makeup looks great. Most of the clothes she?s wearing are from her new clothing line, Winter Kate, named after her daughter Harlow?s middle names.
In the interview excerpt, Nicole addresses some of the lingering rumors about an alleged eating disorder. The rumors began in earnest several years ago when Nicole dramatically lost a lot of weight. Incidentally, many people noted that she had begun to be styled by Rachel Zoe at the time. Zoe and Richie both denied their separate eating disorder rumors at the time, and for a while it seemed like Nicole and Rachel were on the outs. However, they recently made up, and their friendship continues. They just went out to dinner the other night. Equally strange is the Rachel denied her eating disorder rumors again just a few days ago too. For her part, Nicole calls the rumors ?extremely insulting and irresponsible.?
This month, the cover star that everyone is talking about, is Nicole Richie - who graces the March issue of Marie Claire.
Once the wild child side-kick of Paris Hilton, Miss Richie has undeniably undergone one of the most dramatic makeovers of the decade - blossoming into a beautiful young mum, who’s boho-chic style is eminated world over.
And in our cover shoot, not only is she looking drop dead gorgeous with her newly brunette locks, but the 28-year-old gives one of her most honest and open interviews to date, talking candidly about those eating disorder rumours.

The former reality TV star dropped down to a size zero back in 2006, and was snapped looking remarkably frail on the beach in her bikini.
But since the birth of daughter Harlow Winter in January 2008, and son Sparrow just over four months ago, Nicole’s appearance has transformed dramatically.
And with her happy home life, a successful jewellery line, and a fledgling fashion collection getting rave reviews, there’s no looking back.
?I’m just one to live in the present and enjoy the time that I’m having. Going into my past is just not something that I do,’ she says. ?Right now I’m just living my dreams.’

I?ll give Nicole the benefit of the doubt, I think. While I don?t think she lost so much weight initially (back in 2006 or whenever) the healthy way, I do think Nicole is much healthier today. I buy her transformation to earth mother and fashionista, and I don?t think she?s doing anything to damage her health. Anymore.

Stepping out for a late night meal, Nicole Richie was spotted dining out in West Hollywood on Tuesday evening (January 26).
Still rocking her dark brunette hairdo, the former “Simple Life” star strolled along solo as she braved the wet and chilly west coast winter weather.
Tweeting a bit of advice earlier in the day, Nicole interestingly wrote, “Eat a live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day - Have a great day.”
Meanwhile, Miss Richie is gearing up for the launch of her Winter Kate apparel line - which hits store shelves on February 15.
“Everything is extremely affordable, and that was important to me, to have these pieces be accessible to everyone,” she tells of the new offerings.
The 28-year-old adds of her fashionable endeavors, “I just want to do my upcoming projects to the best of my ability. I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me.”

Finding success in fashion, Nicole Richie was spotted out for a business meeting in Hollywood, on Friday (January 22).
Despite the rainy weather, the former “Simple Life” star headed out to a local office building to talk about her stylish endeavors - being spotted by paparazzi as she headed over to the valet personnel.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Richie is currently in the midst of expanding her portfolio with a Winter Kate apparel line that hits stores on February 15.
Also releasing shoes for House of Harlow in mid-March, Nicole tells that a fashion line “was always something that was a long-term plan. I’ve always known I wanted to design clothes. You really have to put all of your time and effort into it. That’s why I didn’t start with clothing, because I didn’t have the time.”

Fitting in a little quality couples time, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden enjoyed a late lunch at Sushinozawa in Studio City, California on Tuesday afternoon (January 19).
The happy couple went out without the little ones, seeming to have had a great lunch together while bundled up to brave the wet weather.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Nicole and Joel hit up the “Haiti: How You Can Help Now” telethon on CNN’s Larry King Live last night.
The former “Simple Life” star and her Good Charlotte rocker hubby joined fellow celebs at the charity event including Jennifer Lopez, Paula Abdul, Jared Leto, Ben Stiller, Christian Slater, Ryan Seacrest, and Molly Sims.

Looking to be in a rush, the former “Simple Life” star and her Good Charlotte rocker hubby were busy all morning doting on their 2-year-old birthday girl daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden.
Of the occasion, Nicole continued her string of birthday tweets, most recently writing, “"Harlow & Mary J. Blige are having a joint birthday party tonight. I wasn’t invited. But I heard it’s gonna be POPPIN"!!"
Meanwhile, Joel was also up and tweeting, “Happy Birthday to the most beautiful little girl in the world. Harlow makes me proud every. single. Day. i’m blessed.”
