She finally got hitched to Joel Madden in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday (December 11) and Nicole Richie was decked out in three different bridal outfits.
The always-fashionable ? Simple Life? starlet donned a gown for the ceremony, a dress for the dinner, and a Marchesa outfit for the after-dinner party.
For dinner, Nicole and Joel served their guests a red greens salad, homemade butternut squash ravioli in brown butter sage sauce, and a choice of filet mignon or seared ahi tuna.
The whole shindig took place at Nicole?s dad Lionel Richie?s Beverly Hills estate, where rental trucks had been showing up for days prior to the fete.

Well, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were finally married after drawing it out forever. They got hitched yesterday, Saturday, in Beverly Hills. According to media outlets, the ceremony took place at Lionel Richie?s home, with about 150 family friends and one elephant in attendance. Take that, Katy Perry! Katy got hitched with elephants in India, and Nicole was all ?I?m the Queen Bee, I can have an elephant in Beverly Hills, bitch.? Oooh, Samantha Ronson was there too! I bet she deejayed the party, what do you think?
Nicole Richie and her boyfriend of four years, Joel Madden, said “I do” in a winter-themed ceremony Saturday in Beverly Hills, UsMagazine.com has confirmed.
Held at the home of Nicole’s father, Lionel, the black-tie evening event was attended by approximately 150 family members and friends, including Khloe Kardashian and Samantha Ronson. One other guest: an elephant! Around 5:40 p.m., observers spotted an elephant arriving in the driveway; the animal was led into a white tent with other revelers.
The bride’s BFF, Masha Gordon, served as maid of honor, while the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Harlow, was the flower girl. (The couple also have son Sparrow, 15 months.)
Richie, 29, strived to get every detail right for her big day — putting extra special thought into her gown. Just days before the wedding, Richie remained torn over two designs: Marchesa and a vintage Chanel. In fact, she jetted off to New York City Dec. 3 for a final fitting at Marchesa with her stylist, Simone Harouche. “A lot of thought went into her dress — it was a priority for her,” a source explains.
Why the winter theme?
“Nicole is obsessed with the season,” a pal tells Us of the designer and author, who confirmed her engagement in February. (Her daughter’s middle names are Winter Kate, also the title of her clothing line).
“[The fete is] less about Joel and Nicole getting married and more about having a party,” another pal told Us of the soiree, planned by Mindy Weiss. “The spirit is that it’s a celebration and it’s very low-key.”
Though the couple — also parents to Sparrow, 15 months — has finally made their union official, Richie and Madden say they’ve long felt like husband and wife.
“We’re really focused on our family, and…we already feel kind of married, you know?” Madden, 31, told Larry King in 2009. “Our family system that we have down, we feel like this is a real family and marriage, one day it will come.”
Richie’s father, who walked his daughter down the aisle, is equally as taken by their love.
“My happiness for Nicole and Joel knows no boundaries,” the “All Night Long” crooner says. “They have given me two beautiful grandchildren, Harlow and Sparrow, and have proven to be great parents. I am not sure who is luckier, Nicole and Joel to have each other, or me, to have both of them in my life.”

There was frantic negotiating to land Nicole Richie a $100,000 exclusive magazine deal ahead of her big wedding to Joel Madden today. Reps for Richie — who recently took a photographer to court to protect her and her children’s privacy — were as late as yesterday “playing the weekly magazines against each other to drive up the price,” an insider said.
Sources tell us that the reps for Richie, who said she planned to give the money to charity, had agreed to an OK! bid earlier in the week to make her a “cover chip” — a less important story referenced with a small photo on the front page — but then went to People to negotiate a full cover.
A source added, “Things got complicated because both Kim Kardashian and Christina Aguilera said they couldn’t attend the wedding because of other commitments.”
A rep for Richie, who’s expected to wear Marchesa to her wedding at father Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills home, said: “Your information is incorrect”.

If the money is going to charity, that?s nice. But I don?t think it was just about the charity, you know? Especially if she was trying to negotiate a cover. At the end of the day, who is Nicole Richie, really? Why does her wedding deserve the cover?

The former ?Simple Life? hottie sauntered past the paparazzi to her car, paying little attention to the snapping cameras as she continues along with last-minute doings.
With wedding preparations currently underway at her father Lionel Richie?s Beverly Hills home, it sounds like Nicole and Joel Madden will be having a luxurious yet small event.
?She didn?t invite a bunch of her celeb friends,? a source revealed to Radar Online. ?Nicole cut down the guest list because she didn?t want a huge wedding.?

Nicole Richie is finally (allegedly) going to marry her longterm boyfriend and the father of her children, Joel Madden, this weekend. Preparations are said to be underway at Nicole’s dad Lionel Richie’s compound, with the paparazzi capturing photos of moving vans making dropoffs there, along with additional security on the property and some kind of massive outdoor party-like construction happening. (Photos here). We’ve heard rumors for a few weeks that Nicole and Joel were planning a wedding this holiday season, but I didn’t make much of them because we’ve heard this rumor for years now. If this is really happening, congratulations to these two. I thought they would remain happily unmarried as long as possible. Even though they’re getting married at the end of the year, they’ll get the tax advantages of married status for all of 2010. It sounds unromantic, but it’s practical. I love that Nicole snubbed some people too!

In preparation of the expected upcoming nuptials between Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, a plethora of moving and supply trucks arrived at Lionel Richie?s house in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (December 7).
The paparazzi snapped up photos of the trucks and vans that were carrying what looked to be parts of a dance floor and stage.
A source told Radar Online, ?A stage is being built over the pool in the backyard so the guests will have more space to dance.?
While details of the wedding remain under wraps, some guests that will surely be in attendance include Samantha Ronson and Christina Aguilera.

Keeping up on her latest fitness routine, Nicole Richie was spotted heading to the gym in Studio City, CA on Thursday (December 2).
The former ?Simple Life? beauty looked cute in her workout wear as she made her way inside the facility, paying little attention to the on-hand photogs.
The sighting comes just as it has been reported that Ms Richie can finally catch a sigh of relief, as the paparazzo accused of stalking her (and showing up to daughter Harlow?s school on more than one occasion) has agreed to stay away from the family for five years.
As long as the photog does that, Nicole will not seek a permanent restraining order on him, but if he breaks the agreement, ?there are stiff financial penalties.?

She?s been pursuing a restraining order against paparazzo Fabricio Luis Mariotto, but today Nicole Richie's efforts were postponed.
According to Radar, the ?Simple Life? babe?s hearing was continued until December 23rd, further delaying the judge?s decision on the matter.
Nicole?s lawyer told press, "The restraining order hearing has been continued until December 23. All orders remain in effect.?
Miss Richie is going after Mariotto for continually stalking her daughter Harlow Winter and her preschool.

The fashionista paid no attention to the on-hand paparazzi as she headed into the workout facility decked out in exercise wear.
Word has it, Ms Richie and fiance Joel Madden are set to tie the knot sometime in December at her father Lionel Richie?s estate in Beverly Hills.
On another note, Nicole is heading to court tomorrow to seek a permanent restraining order on a paparazzo who has been accused of harassing Richie?s daughter, Harlow.

She?s been pursuing a restraining order against a paparazzo who photographed her daughter Harlow Winter, and Nicole Richie may even take the stand in court.
The ?Simple Life? babe will attend a hearing on Wednesday during which she hopes the judge will issue a permanent restraining order against the pesky shutterbug.
And Miss Richie has spared no expense in protecting her little girl- she hired high-powered attorneys Tamar Arminak and Mark Geragos to get the job done.
An insider told press, "Nicole's attorneys will put on the stand several preschool teachers from Harlow's school that have witnessed this photographer crossing the line trying to get pictures. Nicole is fiercely protective of her children, and won't tolerate this. Nicole could testify also."
