Beyonce Knowles narrowly escaped serious injury after her car door was ripped off by a taxi in London.
The ‘Halo’ singer opened the door of her Mercedes after deciding to pop into top store Harrods en route to a restaurant in the UK capital’s Knightsbridge area.
Shoppers looked on in horror as the taxi collided with the car’s door, ripping it off its hinges and missing Beyonce by just a matter of centimetres.
The pop star - who was travelling with her hip-hop guru husband Jay-Z - looked visibly shaken after the incident.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It was terrifying to watch. It all happened so quickly, the taxi came out of nowhere.
“She seemed very shaken and was lucky to be alive. A couple of seconds difference and God knows what could have happened.”
Beyonce, 28, and Jay-Z, 40, were on their way to a romantic meal at Japanese eatery Zuma when the singer decided to make her impromptu stop.
After the accident, the couple were forced to dump the damaged car - and were sent a replacement to take them to the restaurant.
She was later seen looking happy and relaxed after leaving Zuma with Jay-Z.

Taking advantage of some free time, Beyonce was spotted out shopping in London, England on Tuesday (July 6).
With an enormous smile on her face, the ?Single Ladies? songstress stepped out of a shop and happily posed with a lucky female fan before continuing along with the day's retail romp.
On Sunday, the beautiful singer and her actress friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, attended Jay-Z?s performance at Hadye Park during the third day of the Wireless Festival.
Some of our other favorite celebrities to join in on the music fest were Madonna and boyfriend, Jesus Luz, along with supermodel, Kate Moss.

The ?Crazy in Love? babe and her ?99 Problems? hubby hit up club Avenue for the 1-year anniversary shindig, driving off in a custom Jeep Wrangler 4X4 after making their exit.

The "99 Problems" hitmaker and his "Halo" singing bride chowed down on tasty Italian cuisine before being escorted outside to their awaiting ride.
The relaxing dinner date comes just after Beyonce and Jay returned to their Big Apple abode following a weekend trip to Tennessee.
The power couple visited the Volunteer state as Jay-Z was among the many performers taking part in the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

Traversing across Europe with their unlimited funds, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z were spotted enjoying a night out in London, England on Tuesday (June 8).
The always-stylish pair were all smiles after grabbing up a tasty meal at Mr Chow's restaurant in Knightsbridge - sharing conversation with fellow patrons as they headed out to an awaiting car.
The trip to London follows a romantic trip to Paris, as Beyonce and Jay were among the stars on-hand for this past weekend's French Open Men's Final.
Meanwhile, regarding recent Destiny?s Child reunion rumors, B?s father Matthew Knowles told press, "Contrary to rumors online of a Destiny's Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album. The rumors are false Destiny's Child made an unprecedented impact in contemporary music, becoming one of the best-selling groups of all time. Beyonc, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have each moved on to successful solo careers. The members remain close, but will not reunite as a group."

Turning up to watch some world class tennis, Beyonce and Jay-Z were among the star power filling the stands at Roland Garros in Paris, France on Sunday (June 6).
The Hollywood supercouple ate up all of the on court action as Rafael Nadal took on Robyn Soderling in the 2010 French Open tournament.
With Robyn having ended Rafael's record setting French Open win streak last year, Nadal came out looking for revenge.
And in the end, the 24-year-old Spaniard was too much to handle for his counterpart, as he won in straight sets to reclaim the title for his fifth French Open championship victory.

Gearing up for an important performance, Beyonce Knowles was seen leaving her hotel in Washington, DC on Wednesday evening (May 19).
The "Irreplaceable" singer happened to be heading to the White House to take part in President Barack Obama's second State Dinner.
Held in honor of Mexico's President Felipe Calderon and first lady Margarita Zavala, Beyonce will take the stage along with Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela and the United States Marine Band.
Drawing plenty of star power, other attendees include "Desparate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria, the lovely Salma Hayek, and talk show hosts Oprah Winfrey and George Lopez.

Stepping out for a night at the ballpark, Jay-Z and Beyonce were spotted in the stands at Yankee Stadium on Friday night (May 14).
Joined by Jay-Z's mother Gloria Carter, the trio sat in Alex Rodriguez's personal box to watch the New York Yankees play the Minnesota Twins.
Getting their money's worth, the power couple cheered on as A-Rod put New York in front with a grand slam homer in the seventh to lead to a 8-4 Yankees win.

The ?Crazy in Love? songstress stars as the character ?B.B. Homemaker? in the treatment, wearing a checkered shirt and short denim hotpants.
Ms. Knowles plays a mechanic working on a 1960s car, changing a wheel and giving the engine a tune-up- all while looking super sexy.
The song is featured on the re-release of Beyonce?s multi-platinum 2008 album I am?Sasha Fierce, and has already been a huge hit in the club scene.

Always a high-profile event each and every year, Beyonce Knowles and Kate Hudson were among the stars attending stylist Harry Josh?s 9th Annual Spring Fling Party in New York City on Saturday night (May 1).
Held at the Hiro Ballroom at The Maritime Hotel, the "Halo" singer hit up the swanky fete with hubby Jay-Z, while the "Fool's Gold" actress brought along gal pal Ali Wise.
As for the rest of the guest list, cute couples including Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady and Ashley Olsen and Justin Bartha cozied up during the night's festivities.
