Showing no nervousness before her later performance to honor Patsy Cline, LeAnn Rimes worked her red carpet magic at the 2013 American Country Awards tonight (December 10).
Gearing up for the big evening ahead, the ?Can't Fight the Moonlight? star looked to be in great spirits as she worked the press on his/her way through the red carpet area.
Hosted by Trace Adkins and Danica Patrick, the 2013 American Country Awards has a star-studded roster of performers on deck.
Everyone from Brad Paisley to Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Kellie Pickler, Sheryl Crow, and Darius Rucker are slated to take the stage over the course of the evening.

I feel like LeAnn Rimes has been taking it easy for a week or two. We had a flurry of activity around Thanksgiving, but the month of December has been relatively drama-free when it comes to LeAnn, right? Or was I not paying attention and something horrible happened? Usually someone emails me or tweets me when something is going down, which is a good thing to do ? please continue to notify me when LeAnn is doing something bonkers or shady, because I?m not always paying attention to her.
Anyway, we?re talking about LeAnn this week because she just dropped her new music video for the single ?Gasoline and Matches,? which is off her flop of an album, Spitfire. I think this is the first music video? Is that right? That can?t be right, the album has been out for months and she only now got around to releasing a music video? Anyway, the song and the video feature Rob Thomas, and the whole thing was apparently shot on iPhones.
I?m really worried I won?t be able to get this song out of my head now. It?s not a good song, but it?s got great earworm potential. Anyway, LeAnn has been giving interviews about how she loves the video and how easy it was to do the video with director Ian Padgham. She told EW: ?When we saw Ian?s stop motion work on Vine, the first thing I noticed was this crazy sick sense of humor wrapped around a lot of heart and warmth.? I have no idea what I want for Christmas. I usually want a few books and I?m always happy when I get gift certificates, but I never really want some big-ticket item at this current phase of my life. If I want something expensive, I just buy it for myself. Over the holiday weekend, I found a perfume I really liked, so I bought it for myself and gave it to my mom to give to me for Christmas. Is that weird? Or is it just the way you get what you want for Christmas? Well, it seems like LeAnn Rimes is in the same position. Even though she doesn?t come right out and say it, she?s probably going to be buying her own gifts and then giving them to Eddie to wrap and present to her on Christmas Day. How do you spin that though?
With the holiday season in full swing, LeAnn Rimes tells PEOPLE husband Eddie Cibrian is already scoping out the perfect Christmas gift.
“He just asked me, ‘What do you want? Don’t you have an idea?’ ” the singer, 31, told PEOPLE on Wednesday. “He’s such a guy, but I really don’t have an idea ? I’m more into the giving than I am in the getting.”
Although she’s admittedly tough to shop for, it sounds like Cibrian, 40, hasn’t managed to disappoint yet in their four years together.
“I used to not at all like surprises, but now I kind of enjoy it, especially because he seems to always get it right,” says Rimes, who’s performing at the 82nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday (airing nationally on Dec. 20). “He’s definitely a guy’s guy but he’s got something else in there in him that definitely can choose a gift.” Aside from gift-giving, it turns out the The Best Man Holiday actor has a couple other talents hidden up his sleeve. “He’s really good at decorating, too, which is crazy. He’s going to kill me for saying that, but he really is.”
This year, the couple plan to spend Christmas at home with Cibrian’s two sons (with ex-wife Brandi Glanville) ? Mason, 10, and Jake, 6, ? and just enjoy some downtime before heading to Aspen for the new year.
“It’s so nice to be at home in pajamas for most of the day,” she says. “Christmas Eve we usually open one gift and ? this year we’ll have [the boys] Christmas afternoon. It’s complete chaos in our house. I end up finding paper and ribbons for weeks [because] they get pretty excited.”
While the entertainer is passing along some holiday traditions she grew up with to her stepsons (“My godmother and godfather ? were big into decorating and gifts,” she says), she’s also creating some new ones with her family.
“I love the song ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.’ Gayla Peevey is the original singer. She sounds like she’s 5 and it’s so cute,” she says. “Jake knows every word to the whole song, so that seems to be our family song!”

So I take it that Brandi has the boys on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, and then the boys go to Eddie and LeAnn?s house, then on to Aspen? I think that?s what they?ve done in past years, which? I can?t believe I know that. I know their movements because LeAnn documents them constantly, that?s my explanation. As for Eddie being ?good at decorating?? I really don?t have much snark for that one. Some men just love decorating for Christmas. I think putting up lights is such a guy thing.

Well, I guess LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian had Jake and Mason for the Thanksgiving holiday. Is this how it usually is? I forget. I think this is how it usually is ? Eddie and LeAnn have the boys on Thanksgiving day and Brandi Glanville has the boys on Christmas day? Something like that. Makes me thankful that I don?t? have to deal with dueling holiday celebrations these days. Anyway, LeAnn and her BFF/enforcer Darrell Brown tweeted and retweeted several photos from LeAnn?s Twitter and Darrell?s Twitter. See, she ?won?! She won the holiday. She has the photo evidence to prove it, y?all.
Is Eddie growing out his mustache for Movember? I guess so. Usually I like a man with some facial hair and scruff, but Eddie is just one of those guys who should never have scruff, right? He looks like one of the Village People.
As for Brandi, she gave a lengthy interview to Fox News about the unholy budget triangle of doom, which you can read here. She says some interesting stuff about her long-term goals and whether she wants the unholy triangle to continue for the sake of her ?brand?. Here?s part of the interview:
Brandi Glanville may be best known as the loud-mouthed, combative single mom on the popular ?Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,? but there?s much more to this 41-year-old former model than meets the eye. Just don?t call her a brand.
?I hate that word because people say it all the time and you hear people say ?protecting my brand,? but it is like you?re protecting yourself. I am honestly just trying to do things that will be for the long run even after the reality TV world has come to an end,? Glanville told FOX411.
?My long-term goals are to buy a house for the kids; we are still renting. I want to secure a financial future for us. My kids are going to start private school soon.?
Glanville, of course, has two children with former husband Eddie Cibrian ? who left her in 2009 for LeAnn Rimes ? and while the war of words between mom and stepmom has been the subject of much media fodder, Glanville says she hopes to have a civil, amicable relationship with the country music star one day.
?I really want that. I don?t want all this crap to go on forever, for my kids? sake, too. For the first time in a while I sat down the other day at parent-teacher conferences and we all got along. It was easy and it made me feel there was hope,? she said. ?I don?t see us sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner, but I want to get along with them and to negotiate easily.?

Many of you have theorized that Eddie and Brandi are getting along a lot better these days, and that Eddie has been trying to ratchet down LeAnn?s fatwa against all things Brandi. I tend to believe it, sort of. I really don?t think Eddie is a mastermind of romantic entanglements or long-term divorce strategy. I think he just doesn?t want to see his wife actively trying to destroy the mother of his children. So? we?ll see.

LeAnn Rimes got into a Twitter drama with an ex. Shockingly, it was LeAnn?s ex and not Eddie Cibrian?s. For the most part, Dean Sheremet and LeAnn don?t seem to speak or acknowledge each other in any way. I believe that when they divorced, LeAnn gave Dean a nice settlement and he took it and moved to NYC, where he probably invested in some real estate and went to culinary school. He?s now remarried and he seems to have been able to ?move on? from the drama with a lot of grace. Last month he did give an interview where he talked about LeAnn, and it was notable just because he hadn?t mentioned her in public in a long time. Anyway, the new drama happened because (why else?) LeAnn will not and cannot stay off of Twitter. I don?t want to get too far into the weeds here, so here?s what went down:

I don?t want to oversell this, but OMG Star Magazine has the craziest LeAnn Rimes article you will ever want to read. I think Star really outdid themselves this week, because this article is even worse than their cover story a few weeks ago about LeAnn?s drunken closet shenanigans. Of course, none of these gossip items really ?surprises? me, but I am surprised that Star Mag has no qualms about printing this stuff, especially given how litigious LeAnn can be. Anyway, it?s SO GOOD. Let?s get to the good stuff:
*Eddie Cibrian ?used to ooze sexuality and charisma, and that?s all gone now. He?s depressed,? says a longtime friend. ?For people who really know him, it?s obvious. Eddie is upset about everything LeAnn is doing; he is embarrassed? there is no chemistry between them, no heat when they are together. Eddie?s had it with LeAnn.?
*LeAnn is hellbent on getting full custody of Mason and Jake Cibrian. A source says: ?LeAnn wants to prove Brandi is an unfit mother, she wants full custody of the boys. She?s trying to start rumors that Brandi has drugs in her home, so she interrogates the boys whenever they come over. But there doesn?t seem to be much truth to this.?
*LeAnn surreptitiously follows Brandi on Twitter. A source says: ?LeAnn has seen tweets Brandi has written saying she was taking a Xanax, so she opened up new Twitter accounts with fake names to tweet back. LeAnn tweets Brandi things like, ?You cokehead? and ?You drug addict.? Eddie wants her to stop all this tweeting and hateful behavior for the boys, but she won?t.?
*Eddie has started taking Brandi?s side: ?He feels Brandi is a good mom and he?s sick of all the conflict. He knows his boys are getting older and they understand what?s going on. It?s going to affect their future.?
*Single White Female: LeAnn calls Mason and Jake ?my boys? just to spite Brandi. ?LeAnn also buys expensive gifts for the boys? teachers to outshine Brandi, and she brings drinks for all the parents at the children?s soccer games to try to look better than Brandi. She bases everything on Brandi.?
*LeAnn lies about babies: ?She changes her mind every day about having a baby. She?s actually told people that she?s pregnant and says weird things like, ?I can?t believe this has finally happened? ? but she?s not pregnant! Then, the next day, she?ll say she?s not ready for a baby.?
*Drinking: ?She originally had to sober up last August, because she wanted to have a child, but now she?s drinking again. That adds to her stress, because she has always been obsessed with staying fit and the alcohol has made her gain weight? Eddie hoped that once LeAnn completely rehab, things would improve. But things have been getting worse.?
*Infidelity fears: ?When Edie was working on The Best Man Holiday in Canada, she would spend five days a week up there. She?s terrified that if she?s not there, he?ll cheat.?
*Reality show: ?She actually said ?I did the reality show so I could keep Edie close to me?. I don?t think she really wanted to do the show, she just wanted to compete with Brandi and watch Edie. I don?t blame her for worrying. He wants out of the marriage.?

I mean? this is a great story, right? Star hit all the sweet spots ? the fact that she seems so completely bonkers, the drinking, the Twitter-stalking, the Single White Female-ing and so much more. I actually hadn?t heard the stuff about LeAnn trying to convince people that Brandi is a drug addict. It seems like LeAnn would have enough to work with just with Brandi?s drinking, but I guess that would be the pot calling the kettle a lush. Ah, so much gossip insanity. Love it.

Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes out shopping in Santa Monica yesterday. I wonder what she bought? I wonder if she already saw it on Brandi Glanville? I?m pretty sure that LeAnn called the paps for this photo op, just because of the way she?s posing for the cameras, and how she looks like she?s gotten a fresh blowout and everything. Did she even get her makeup done for this pap stroll?
Since I really don?t have much to say about LeAnn today (there are no major tabloid stories this week, so far), can we talk about her outfit? For all of you youngsters (*shakes fist*), this is how we used to dress in the ?90s. We wore weird skirts with combat boots and we tied our shirts and sweaters into weird knots. The only thing that would make this more dated would be if LeAnn?s sweater was cropped to expose her belly. Oh, I guess we could also make this more dated by adding some flannel. Preferably a flannel shirt tied at the waist.
What I?m saying is this is a terrible look in general, and a terrible look on LeAnn in particular. I get it, though. When you gain weight and you?re still pretending that you haven?t gained weight, you transition from tight clothes to stretchy clothes and you try to show off the parts of your body that you?re still comfortable with. LeAnn wants to show off her legs.

Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes and Edie Cibrian last night in LA. They attended a gala benefit for Cedars-Sinai?s Women?s Guild. The event was hosted by Will Arnett and LeAnn performed. I have to say, I don?t hate how she looks here. Her styling is really good, especially considering how she usually styles herself. My one little quibble is that the dress isn?t very flattering in the mid-section and you can tell that LeAnn is worried about what she?s showing off in certain angles. The dress looks like a clingy silk jersey, which can be unforgiving if you have any ?bulges? anywhere. Still, overall this is a good look for her. Better than leather bootie shorts and tight ponytails.
I don?t really follow the more tabloidy, blind-item-driven gossip about LeAnn, but I do occasionally check in with Celebrity Dirty Laundry to see what they?re writing about LeAnn. LeAnn has called them out before during some late-night tweeting-and-deleting and CDL has an interesting new story about LeAnn. Apparently, LeAnn and Eddie recently flew to Taiwan for just one concert performance (in an arena which had a capacity of 15,000, only 4,000 people came). Upon their return, Eddie allegedly packed his bags and he?s staying somewhere else now? Who knows. But! Just Say Jenn did unearth this absolutely awful video of LeAnn attempting to cover Michael Jackson?s ?Billie Jean? in Taiwan:

As I think most people have noticed in the past few months, LeAnn Rimes has gained some weight. I don?t even believe that she?s gained all that much, and I don?t think her body looks very different than how she used to look four years ago, when she first got together with Eddie Cibrian. Let?s face it ? for several years, LeAnn was dramatically underweight, almost painful to see. But her body has corrected itself and while it?s slightly startling to see how quickly she?s put on the weight, I think she looks healthier and better now than she did in her underweight years. What bugs me is that she?s still wearing the same kind of ?Single White Female-ing Brandi? outfits, stuff that is way too tight for her newly recovered figure. Anyway, The Enquirer has a judgy, Mean-Girl piece about LeAnn?s body:
LeAnn Rimes was a no-show at the CMA Awards and The Enquirer can reveal why ? she?s embarrassed about her 38-pound weight gain. LeAnn is such an emotional wreck over her floundering marriage to Eddie Cibrian that she?s been pigging out on fattening comfort food.
?Poor LeAnn is so distraught over fears that Eddie is going to cheat on her that she?s drowning her emotions with junk food? she?s gobbling everythig in sight. Now she?s become so self-conscious that it kept her from attending the CMAs. She feels physically unattractive and didn?t want to try to squeeze into a formal gown.?
The 5-foot-5 star is super-sensitive about her weight, even though she?s still only tipping the scales at 128 pounds, say insiders.
Last year, The Enquirer reported that LeAnn checked into a treatment facility for stress after learning Eddie was still in touch with a former lover. Since then, she?s fretted about staying attractive to Eddie ? and she even underwent a $100,000 beauty makeover.
?LeAnn is worried sick because she knows the type of woman that catches Eddie?s eye,? said the source. ?And right now she?s a far cry from that.?

128 pounds? I?ll believe that. I think she?s probably around that figure, although for it to be a ?38 pound weight gain? that means that at her smallest, LeAnn only weighed 90 pounds? Eh. No. At her smallest, she was probably 105-ish pounds, and she?s probably put on a much needed 20 pounds. That?s my estimate.
But, while I?ll continue to say that I like LeAnn?s body more now, I do think The Enquirer is right when they discuss how she?s no longer Eddie?s ?type? now that she?s not pin-thin. Then again, he was married to a pin-thin woman and he cheated on her with LeAnn (and other women). Maybe it?s not so much that Eddie only likes one particular body type, it?s that he will always like a variety. And THAT is the bigger problem.

They?re one of the most-watched couples in Hollywood, and LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are excited about what?s next for their family.
During their interview with ?Extra,? the celeb duo shared that they?re interested in having a child when the time is right.
LeAnn declared, "We work on it often,? and Cibrian added, ?But nothing's popped out!" Rimes replied, "I know, sorry. I think about it often. We talk about it."
She continued, "Right now, I'm actually ending a record deal that I've been in since I was 11, so 20 years at the same label. That ends next month, so, yeah, it's exciting. I'm trying to lay out the land and figure it all out for the next 10, 20 years of my life."
Eddie asked, "What are you saying, you want to commemorate that with a baby? Is that what you're saying?"
The ?How Do I Live? singer answered, "No! I don't want to have one until I have that figured out. One step at a time. It's like starting my life all over again. That's kind of, like, my original baby."
Cibrian also mentioned, "She wants a little girl, badly."
