So the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has been released, and Kate Upton took home the cover for the second year in a row. You guys all know how much I love Kate, so I think SI definitely made a smart choice here. But I think it was even smarter to have her only wear

One of the weirdest parts of my job as a blogger who happens to be female seems to be trying to ?adopt? the heterosexual male gaze long enough to adequately judge some of this celebrity stuff. Like, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is not made me for me. It?s made for straight dudes who want to look at models in swimsuits. So, let me put on my straight-dude goggles and look at the 2013 SI: Swimsuit Edition cover, which features Kate Upton for the second time in a row. If you remember, I didn?t care for her first cover that much ? there was too much Photoshopping of her crotch area, and it made me feel like I was staring at a Barbie (as in, her biscuit seemed to be made out of smooth plastic).
So, what do you think of this year?s cover? I think I like it more than last year?s. Her biscuit isn?t ?Shopped into oblivion (that I can tell??) and even though her rack is front and center, I have to admit that I prefer this to seeing her spill out of a too-small bikini top. I even think the coat is kind of cute! I?ll also admit that Kate is doing what I do when I want to get some dude?s attention ? casually pushing her boobs together with her upper arms and forearms. It?s an old trick. You push ‘em together and then lean forward a little bit, keeping your chin down and then you look up at the dude enigmatically. Gets ‘em every time.
Apparently, Kate?s photoshoot was done on a boat in Antarctica. This is the first time since 1988 that a model has gotten consecutive covers ? that model was Elle Macpherson (and she was featured for three consecutive years). Oh, and this is the 50th anniversary issue. We?re seeing the cover now because it leaked on Friday and SI pushed up their big reveal, which was originally scheduled for Monday. The Swimsuit Edition will also feature Hannah Davis (Derek Jeter?s girlfriend), Julie Henderson, Miss Alabama 2012 Katherine Webb, Alyssa Miller and Nina Agdal. Congrats to Kate! She?ll get even more work now, and I wouldn?t be surprised at all if she scored her first American Vogue cover this year.

Showing off her gold chain on the red carpet, Kate Upton attended the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night event in New Orleans on Saturday (February 2).
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit covergirl sported a black leather jacket, black top, matching skinnies, and red heels as she playfully posed for photos.
Making the rounds to promote her Mercedes-Benz Super Bowl commercial, the 20-year-old model spoke to Yahoo about the big game.
When asked whether she would be indulging in any of the decadent super snacks, Kate lamented, "It totally sucks but I have to work on Monday so I can't. I have to act like a model."

This video is titled “Kate Upton washes the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA in slow motion.” Reading that, you’d think this was one of those Michael Bay inspired commercials. In reality it’s the furthest from that. No, what this video really is is a bunch of dudes washing a CLA — not very well mind you — while Kate Upton stands around and tells them they missed a spot.
Look, I was expecting the subtle degradation of a woman and instead, you gave me this. Sexual frustration. How are we going to remedy this, Mercedes? I demand reparations.

I’m going to hope there’s more Kate Upton hotness where this came from, because this shot from GQ Magazine is one of the better pictures of Kate I’ve seen in months. Who needs complicated gimmicks and weird outfits? When you’ve got one of the hottest bikini models around, sometimes simpler is better. Enjoy.

Arriving in style for some traveling, Kate Upton was spotted at JFK Airport in New York City on Saturday (January 12).
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl looked cute in an olive green and black sweater, black pants, and knee-high black boots as she smiled at the waiting shutterbugs.
Recently, the 20-year-old beauty starred in a very sexy retro photo spread for V Magazine's latest issue.
Photographer Sebastian Faena gushed about his star, " Kate was an actress during this shoot. A good one, very sensitive and played the part of a confused, kept housewife with irony. She has star quality. She is like nobody else today."

Looking like a million bucks for her travels, Kate Upton arrived at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 9).
The Sports Illustrated cover girl was clad in all black with a leather jacket, leggings, and knee-high boots as she smiled at cameras on her way through the terminal.
Recently, the sports fan took a swipe at a couple of unlucky football teams via her Twitter account.
On Monday, the 20-year-old blonde bombshell tweeted, "It's okay Notre Dame this happened to the Jets every week."

Kate Upton covers the January 2013 issue ofV Magazine. She’s very very cleavey in it and being assaulted by a heroin addicted. Get away from her you fiend!On a side note, the shoot is titled,The Discreet Charm of Kate Upton, which makes no sense at all because it looks like her charm isn’t being very discreet. It’s just out there bouncing around for everyone to see.
