These are photos of Dita Von Teese shilling for Cointreau in New York City a few days ago. She looks beautiful! But I?m biased, obviously, because I love her and I want her to have all of the pretty, sparkling things in the world. Dita just turned 40 years old, although you might not know it because she?s a poster girl for taking care of your skin. To mark the occasion, Dita gave an interesting interview to Closer Mag, a UK tabloid. Which means that when she?s talking about her weight, they convert pounds into ?stones?. Ugh! I hate converting ?stones?.
Dita Von Teese has just celebrated her 40th birthday. And she has done so not with a silent mope over a mug of gin about getting old, but a whoop and a cheer…and the confession that she is in better shape now than she ever was in her 20s.
The American ‘Queen of Burlesque’, who was married to American rock singer Marilyn Manson from 2005 to 2007, said: ‘I have better knowledge of my body and how to treat it. Between 18 and 20 I was a few pounds heavier, as I used to drink fizzy drinks and eat fast food.’
In an interview with Closer magazine, Von Teese – who is 5ft 3in and weighs 8st 3lbs – also admitted going through a ‘party girl’ phase in the 90s.
During that time – when she was taking Ecstasy and LSD – her weight dropped to just 6.5st.
‘I got skinny,’ said the Michigan-born dancer whose real name is Heather Sweet. ‘I was worried about the way I looked but also about the impact it was having on my health. I remember seeing a picture of myself and my ribs were sticking out. That was my motivation for not doing drugs anymore.’
Von Teese, who began performing burlesque in 1992 and whose most famous routine involves her frolicking inside an enormous Martini glass, also revealed she didn’t expect to find herself where she is now, aged 40, when she was young.
‘I thought I’d be married and retired by 28. I didn’t think I’d be at the top of my career in striptease. I don’t worry about having kids and it affecting my body. I’d have to rethink things if that happened, but it wouldn’t make me any less of a woman if it didn’t.’
She confesses that she hasn’t yet drawn a line through having plastic surgery and will one day ‘probably look at lasers’.
The star explains that she maintains her tiny 22-inch waist (which can be squeezed down to 16.5in) by eating healthily, rarely drinking, avoiding bread, and drinking a vegetable smoothie made from ingredients including parsley, coriander and spinach every morning. She also exercises daily and has worn a corset since she was just 18.
Saying she feels best about herself around eight stone, the raven-haired beauty says her strict exercise regime includes Pilates, ballet, exercise videos, horse-riding and dressage, and she plans to take up fencing soon, too.
But just like the rest of us, Von Teese has several ‘cheat’ foods she can’t always resist. Crisps, crunchy sweets and Indian food feature high on her naughty-but-nice list.

Let?s see? Dita is saying that she?s currently 115 pounds, correct? (I?m using an internet stone-to-pound conversion site!). And when she was 20 years old, she was about 91 pounds. Why can?t they just say that? Why convert to ?stones?? I?m not trying to be ignorant or anything ? I don?t mind when I have to convert British pounds to dollars or Euros to dollars. But ?stones? are the bane of my existence! *throws pity party*
Anyway, Dita sounds like she has a sort-of healthy body image. Well, as healthy as you can be if you?ve worn a corset for 22 years. Surely not every damn day, right?
And in another interview ?this one with Wendy Williams ? Dita confirms that she?s single. Dita told Wendy, ?I am single. I have been single for a year and a half. I would like to date more age appropriately.? She also says that she doesn?t need a man to buy her diamonds, that she can buy her own. GAH! Why oh why can I not throw Robert Pattinson into her path? Seriously ? they would be wonderful together.

Ending her weekend with a swanky fete, Dita Von Teese attended the Cointreau Ambassador of Libations Cannes 2013 Finals in New York City last night (October 14).
The burlesque babe was joined by Kyle Ford, Alfred Cointreau, and Kenny Davis at the Cointreau and Gotham Magazine-sponsored event.
In a recent interview, Dita shared that she and ex-husband Marilyn Manson were initially a great fit because of their similar relationship their artistic pursuits.
"We were cut from the same cloth. We both changed out entire identity, coloured out hair black, did our own man-up and came up with our own outfits - that's why it worked so well. We could relate to each other in a very profound way."

Back in the spring of this year, I discovered that Dita Von Teese had split up with her hottie hot French count boyfriend, Count French Dong or whatever. The split made me sad, because that dude was GORGE and I miss seeing photos of him and daydreaming about how hot the sex is between he and Dita. Almost as soon as Dita was a single girl, she instantly found a new boyfriend in Englishman Theo Hutchcraft, lead singer of The Hurts. That was April/May of this year. Then, just a few weeks ago, Dita was partying with Robert Pattinson, and I began to hope and pray that she was done with Theo and that she now had her eye on someone decidedly sparklier. But I was not expecting this? Dita Von Teese trying to get with (gasp) Bradley Cooper? Ew. Downgrade, Dita.
Dita Von Teese has claimed she is enjoying the single life, but she recently got blanked when she tried to chat-up Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper in a Los Angeles restaurant, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
The star pair found themselves in trendy hotspot — Italian eaterie Farfalla in Los Feliz — at the same time when an eyewitness spied Dita, 40, licking her lips in the general direction of The Hangover star.
However, the burlesque dancer?s attempts at inviting Bradley, 37, over to her table floundered after she tried to send a drink his way. He refused her offer and left the restaurant without even saying goodbye! (In September, Cooper revealed he?s been sober for 8 years.)
?Bradley completely snubbed Dita when she made a beeline for him,? an onlooker told RadarOnline.com. ?She was desperate to get his attention, so she asked the waitress to go over to his table and ask him what he wanted to drink. Bradley told the waitress he?s on a health kick at the moment and said he was fine.
?After that, Dita was looking over at him, fluttering her eyelids and wanted him to join her and her friend. But Bradley just wasn?t that into her, he ignored her eye contact and just looked down at his phone. He left before she did and didn?t even acknowledge her on the way out of the restaurant. She looked gutted. It really was an awkward moment for Dita, I?m sure a lot of men wouldn?t turn her down,? the source concluded.
Dita isn?t the only woman smitten with Bradley at the moment. His ex-girlfriend Zoe Saldana was seen leaving the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood arm-in-arm with the A-Team actor on September 2, sparking rumors they were back together.
And as RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, it was Bradley?s mom, Gloria who has been behind the two getting back together.
?It was Gloria who told Bradley to date Zoe again ? she loves Zoe,? a source revealed. ?Bradley and Zoe have been seeing a lot of each other recently; they were promoting their new movie The Words and their paths crossed a few times at press junkets and premieres.
?That ignited some feelings in Bradley, who told Gloria that he was seeing a lot of Zoe and they were getting on really well. Gloria then told Bradley how she felt about Zoe and said to him how she was his first girlfriend since Renee that she truly liked. When Bradley first dated Zoe, he would always invite his mom everywhere with them ? whether it be going for lunch, dinner or even running errands. Gloria told Bradley he should win her back because there were obviously still feelings there, and he did just what she said,? the source divulged.

Well, I?m choosing to be elated. One, this report identifies Dita as ?single? which is one important step to getting her with Robert Pattinson. Two, Bradley Cooper is obviously an idiot. I?m sorry. But Emu-Boy disrespecting Dita Von Teese? What, out of loyalty to his ?on-again? girlfriend Zoe Saldana? I pretty much think that Bradley and Zoe only got back together to promote that sad little movie, The Words. Also: Bradley Cooper? Him? Really, Dita?

Did you know that Twihards absolutely loathe everything vintage and everything burlesque? They certainly do now! Robert Pattinson was in LA over the weekend, and he attended a benefit dinner for the LA Dance Project (sponsored by Van Cleef & Arpels), and he ended up talking to Dita Von Teese ? see the photo here. Now, Dita had a boyfriend the last time I checked ? an English boyfriend who plays the guitar and sings. COUGH. And we know Dita likes ?em pretty ? am I the only one who sees a resemblance between Robert Pattinson and Dita?s ex, Count Louis Marie de Castelbajac? So? Dita might actually be into it.
Robert Pattinson makes new pals wherever he goes. On Saturday night, the Twilight star, 26, hit the Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner for L.A. Dance Project, where he mingled with fellow A-list attendees, including a newly-blonde Natalie Portman and her choreographer hubby, Benjamin Millepied.
Pattinson (smiling and holding onto a champagne flute) also posed with burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, who stunned in a mauve, cleavage-baring Burberry dress and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.
An eventgoer tells Us Weekly Pattinson was in good spirits throughout the evening.
“At one point he was laughing so hard, he almost spit out his beer!” the witness says of the Cosmopolis actor. “He seemed to be enjoying himself.”
One possible reason for his happy mood? Though they’re keeping their reunion on the downlow for now, multiple sources tell Us Pattinson is ready to give his romance with Kristen Stewart — who cheated on him in mid-July with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders — another shot.
“They’re working it out,” one insider explained. “He’s still in love with her.”

See? This is one of the problems that some of the Team Sparkles people were having before we knew that Rob and Kristen had gotten back together. Where does a single Rob go from Kristen? Obviously, there?s no shortage of young, pretty starlets in America and the UK (and beyond). But after being one half of an A-list couple, Rob might want to try to recreate it with another woman. And who is out there? Katy Perry? Emma Roberts? See? Dumb famewhores who just want Sparkles for his sparkly fame and not his sparkly soul. But Dita Von Teese would keep him as her pet just because she enjoys pretty things. I really want this to happen now. Dita would tear this boy up.

Here are some new photos of Dita Von Teese at the Duftstars Awards in Berlin over the weekend. As always, don?t ask because I don?t know. ?Duftstars? sounds like a made-up comedic name for an awards show on The Simpsons. Anyway, Dita attended the event with Jean Paul Gaultier, and of course, Gaultier dressed Dita in one of his Haute Couture gowns. Thoughts on the gown? I?m oddly fascinated by it. I don?t think many women could pull it off, and while it?s not my favorite thing on Dita, bitch knows how to work some couture. I would like to see this in silver, I think. Or purple! Also, I would be concerned about the stitching on those little drapey pieces attaching the skirt to the bodice thing. If the stitches are budget, one wrong move and the curtain comes down and you?re flashing your Duftstar on the red carpet.
As we discussed last week, it seems like Dita is completely done with her hot French boyfriend, Louis-Marie de Castelbajac. While she was in London, she was spotted out (and photographed) with Englishman Theo Hutchcraft, lead singer for The Hurts. Several people claimed that Dita was making out with Theo at Coachella, which seems to be confirmed by several tabloid reports as well. This week?s Star Magazine had an eyewitness at Coachella too – they said: ?They looked completely into each other.? Dita and Theo were also seen together at the Marmont on April 17th. So? it?s on. I?m including a photo of Theo and Dita together in London, plus a month-old pic of Theo solo. He?s not as sexy and pretty as Louis-Marie, but? he?ll do, I guess. I need to hear his speaking voice and accent before I decide. I?m also including The Hurts? ?Wonderful Life? music video below – their sound is kind of fabulously dated, right? Like old-school Duran Duran.

These are some new photos of Dita Von Teese out and about in London yesterday. The teal Herve L. Leroux dress is from her promotional appearance for her perfume. The gold dress (which is magnificent!) is from? I don?t even know. The photos say that she was leaving Claridge?s, but I don?t know if this is just how Dita ?dresses for dinner? or what have you. All I know is that I?m always in love with Dita, and I always enjoy her fashion shows. Her waist is killing me! She?s probably wearing a corset, right?
When I was covering photos from Coachella several weeks ago, I made a note that Dita seemed to be flying solo at the music festival, and that I missed seeing her gorgeous French boyfriend, Louis-Marie de Castelbajac. Several commenters schooled me! Apparently, there were some reports late last year than Dita and Louis-Marie were over. An Australian paper even claimed that while Dita was in Melbourne last November, she was quite taken with some local Aussie celebrity men. Several of you also claimed that Dita was seen making out with some dude at Coachella too. So? I guess that?s it for Count Pretty-Boy Von Frenchie. So long, dude. I wish I could enjoy photos of you every day. *cries*

Here are some new photos of my girl Dita Von Teese in Paris last night. She was the guest of honor at the premiere of Christian Louboutin?s cabaret show, Feu. Dita wore this silver-grey Herve L. Leroux dress which is? pretty. I like her in stronger colors, and this kind of washes her out. But the dress itself is beautiful, and Dita styled herself as she always does – immaculately.
Dita came to Paris by way of Australia – last week, she launched her new lingerie line by way of a runway show in Melbourne. Dita got a lot of press because she was very vocal in what she did and did NOT want to see on HER runway. She reportedly demanded models with ?a bit of jiggle? and absolutely no ?orange glow? from fake-tanners. Dita told the press, ?We gave a lot of models the axe for being too skinny – we probably turned away a dozen, It’s important to me [that] we show curvaceous women and fuller-figured girls… Lingerie looks terrific on girls with shape.? Imagine that – someone not hiring models because they?re too slender. The mind boggles. Dita also walked the runway for her own lingerie line – here?s one of the photos:
Sexy! And I don?t feel like I?m being assaulted by bones, either. Which is always nice.
Lastly, I wanted to point out this wonderful quote from Dita: “A femme fatale is always chic, a little wicked, edgy and dark, and has her own dress code she sticks to.” I wonder what Dita would think of my dress code? Sweatpants and flip-flops!! Edgy sweatpants. Wicked flip-flops.

She?s always looking for ways to help women feel sexy, and Dita Von Teese's latest venture is a new line of lingerie called ?Von Follies.?
The burlesque queen will be selling the new offerings exclusively in Target stores in Australia, and they?re sized for women of all shapes.
Dita explained, "It was important to me to accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous, and I'm very proud that we have been able to do that, while keeping prices affordable."
She also noted that when it comes to getting ready for an event, she doesn?t hire a team to primp her. ?I don?t want to judge people ? I guess it?s part of their career, maybe they don?t have the time ? but I really like the satisfaction I get from creating my own red carpet looks and doing my hair and makeup.?
?When people say that I?m just a dumb stripper, I?m thinking, wow, but you?re really giving accolades to these stylists, hair, and makeup people that get everybody turned out and I?m holding my own up there??

In the last two public appearances that Dita Von Teese has made, I kind of hated her outfits. That?s hard to admit, because Dita is usually one of my favorite fashion girls. Even in candid photos when she?s shopping or just out and about in LA, she?s always immaculately pulled together. But in Australia a few weeks ago, she was wearing one of her own designs (for Muse) and she looked? budget. And then she was at some event a few weeks wearing Gaultier, and she looked busted too.
So these are new photos of Dita doing a promotional stop in Florida for her contract with ?My Cointreau Travel Essentials?. She gets paid to wear pretty clothes and drink! I love that. I also LOVE this dress. She looks poured into it, and the dress itself is so shiny and immaculate. Like it?s some kind of silk-rubber hybrid. It?s awesome. Look at the way it hugs Dita?s curves! Amazing.
In a recent interview, Dita said that more people were getting into burlesque because:
?I think it?s because they like to see an alternative kind of beauty. I?m not tan, I?m not blonde, I don?t look right in a bikini. Running on the beach in a bikini isn?t really my thing. I?m never going to be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, let?s put it that way.?

She doesn?t look right in bikini? The hell? Her body is great. Maybe she?s talking about her pale skin, and how her whole vibe is ?glamour? not ?beachy fun times?. Besides, it?s more fun seeing her fully clothed.

Y?all know I love some Dita Von Teese. Y?all know I?ll support her, whatever she does. So I?m supporting Dita?s appearance in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend for Lavazza Derby Day 2011. I?m supporting but I?m not enthusing. Because I expect greatness, every single time. And Dita usually delivers something great, but I?m just not feeling it here.
Obviously, the hat is appropriate. She?s at an event where hats will be worn, and Dita comes close to rocking this Philip Treacy-designed red hat/headpiece/fascinator thing. Apparently, Dita and Treacy are friends, and he designed this piece especially for her. But the dress - which is Dita?s own design, for her Dita Von Teese Muse line, is not anything special. In fact, it looks slightly cheap. And while I?m usually a fan of Dita?s matchy-matchy style (she always perfectly coordinates her dress to her shoes to her bag), I?m finding the red all-over thing to be overkill. Instead of the red satin Lounboutins, she should have worn black shoes or leopard print shoes, and had a hat that wasn?t all-over red. Overall, the effect is very cheap, right?
