Dwayne Johnson is a very loving father and partner. He has professed his appreciation for women on many occasions and I don?t doubt for a moment that he means every word. However, according to Johnson, since his third daughter?s birth in April, he has gained even more reverence for his partner, Lauren Hashian, and not just Lauren, but all mothers across the board.
Dwyane ?The Rock? Johnson says watching his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian deliver their 2-month-old daughter Tiana Gia changed the way he looks at women and mothers forever.
During a visit to Live with Kelly and Ryan on Tuesday, the Skyscraper star, 46, opened up about being in the delivery room for his youngest daughter?s birth.
?I will say, it was the most amazing experience I?ve ever seen,? Johnson said. ?I look at Lauren, and women and mothers, in a different light than I ever have before. And it was beautiful.?
[From People]
Johnson has two other daughters, Simone who is 16 (her mother is his ex-wife Dany Garcia) and his two-year old daughter Jasmine with Lauren. He was in the delivery room for both of their births as well so what was different with Tiana?s birth? Why the new appreciation? Like the saying goes: Location, Location, Location. Johnson changed his vantage point when invited by the doctor for Tiana?s birth and saw everything.
?I was encouraging her ? holding her hand. And the doctor said, ?Would you like to come down and watch and help?? ? Johnson recalled. ?I said, ?Yup, I?m going to come down. Watch. Help.? ?
?I?m holding legs, everything. And out comes the baby,? he continued, joking, ?I know, right? Crazy. ?Cause you roll the dice. You don?t know how it?s going go to go. A lot of stuff happens.?
You know what? Good for him. A lot of people couldn?t handle that scene. I couldn?t. The Mister said he could, after watching the live-birth video in our birthing class, but I shut that nonsense down right away. We were paying good money for medical professionals to do their job, they didn?t need his help. He was far better off staying by my ear and telling me I was pretty. And that was even before I?d heard Robbie Williams liken watching his wife give birth to, ?my favorite pub burning down.?
This is not the first time Johnson has advocated that men watch their partners give birth. In his Instagram announcing Tiana?s birth, he advised that men watch the actual birth, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer.? He went on to assure the men that if they did this, ?the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless.? Johnson loves his dramatic proclamations so ? whatever. Maybe Johnson is trying to tell men not to be afraid of childbirth? That would be a good, if not poorly delivered, message.
I know, I know ? don?t be a jerk about a man effusing about his partner. Maybe Lauren wasn?t too pleased with being told not to rush ?Big Daddy? and he?s publicly making up to her. I?m only giving him a small bap on the nose, though. Because childbirth is *one* of the amazing things a woman can do, but most women are worthy of boundless respect and admiration even without it.

In my #IronParadise here in Vancouver, shooting the VO for the bad ass open of the #MayweatherMcGregor tonight. I connected with my boy Conor this week. His intentions go far beyond his extraordinary skill. Like Mayweather, not only does he want to put on an epic performance for the world, but there's a real visceral, raw, warrior mana (spirit) that he has in his blood. There's only one way you gain respect… by earning it. Let's get after it boys and may the best man win. ?? #MayweatherMcGregor #TheWorldIsWatching #WarriorMana TONIGHT.

| Dwayne Johnson surprised tourists on the Disney World Jungle Cruise | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Ah, Dwayne Johnson? there isn?t a super-fun publicity stunt or questionable film plot he hasn?t met. In case you haven?t heard, Disney is continuing their spotty Attraction-to-Film record by making a live-action version of the iconic Jungle Cruise ride. Although he has been attached since 2015, the film has just been put into his production schedule and is slated to hit theaters in 2019. According to THR, several versions of the script were written but it is only with the latest that DJ, who is also producing, felt confident enough to fit the film into his schedule. They are currently scouting for a director.
So, as is his special talent, DJ found a very clever way to get everyone all excited about a movie they never knew they wanted. He showed up to skipper a Jungle Cruise boat at Orlando?s Disney World and posted it to Instagram for all to see:
.. (I think the lady to my right is snapping a pic of my bootaaaay) Surprise! Once I committed to our Disney partners to make the movie based off the JUNGLE CRUISE ride, I wanted to dive head first into the research. So I headed to Walt Disney World and surprised tourists by commandeering the JUNGLE CRUISE boat. It was a GREAT day on the river. Learned a lot.. for example, it takes approximately 12.6 minutes for all the passengers to get over the shock of me jumping on the boat and thinking I'm a DJ look-a-like. One passenger even said, "Oh the real Rock is much smaller than this guy". I threw his ass off the boat. Jokes aside (and yes, with me as the Cruise Skipper there will be an abundance of puns) this is such an amazing, fantastical and cool world to build out. Best part about this surprise research day was knowing how FUN of an experience we're gonna work hard to create for families around the world. That's the part that gets my excited the most. The movie. The ride. The experience. It's the cruise of a lifetime. And trust me, you'll want me as your Skipper. Just don't forget to bring the Skipper's beer. Next step… we find our visionary director. #SurpriseAroundEveryCorner #ResearchDay #DisneyWorld #AllAboard #JungleCruise

| Dwayne Johnson might get his own Fast & Furious spinoff: good idea? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Action star and serial do-gooder Dwayne Johnson may be branching out even more. According to producer Hiram Garcia of the Fast and Furious franchise (say that five times), they are trying to position Johnson?s Luke Hobbs character to launch spinoff movie. Not only is it possible, but Garcia and Johnson have already started flushing out the background and storyline. Don?t hold your breath yet, the reason Johnson was sidelined in Fast 7 was due to his over packed schedule and there aren?t signs that it is lightening up anytime soon.
Do they love the character enough to make a standalone Hobbs movie starring Dwayne Johnson? “A hundred percent,” according to Garcia. “I think there’s always been conversations for that. The scheduling of it all is a challenge but there are always talks about a potential spinoff movie and what we can do with it. DJ and I were just talking about that the other day – our visions for it. There’s a real goal for that and we can have enough fun with that where we’ve earned that now with the audience. He’s a beloved enough character that they’d love to see what a ride with him would be like in his world. We have tons of history that we’ve crafted for this guy that we continue to sprinkle in throughout the movies. You’ll see a little bit more in this movie but ultimately we want to take that ride and spin him off and have some fun with it.”
[From ComicBook.Com]
OMG ? DJ?!? I am totally calling him ?DJ? too. Don?t worry about DJ?s screen time on Fast 8 because Garcia assures us that although DJ hasn?t shown up on set yet, they have him for a good chunk of his time and he will be ?spread throughout the entire film.? Let?s all just take a minute with that thought, shall we? Mmmmmm.
DJ also just confirmed that they are still moving forward on the remake of Big Trouble in Little China. I know, I know ? enough with the remakes (both for DJ and for movies in general)! But there are some movies that just scream for reincarnation and BTiLC is one of them. DJ is perfect to reprise Jack Burton; he can deliver a cheesy line better than anyone I know. When asked about the plans, DJ replied, ?That?s happening, man! That?s happening, that?s happening. And again, that?s one of those things where you gotta take really good care of it.? You know what I think? I think Kim Cattrall should still play Gracie. She was so gloriously campy in the role and she could still get away with it. Fast 8 co-star and original Jack Burton, Kurt Russell, was asked about the remake and you know what ol? Jack Burton always says? ol? Jack always says, what the hell.

| The Rock visited a children's hospital: 'Keep smiling and staying strong' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When he is not saving puppies, Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock, is being a superhero to sick kids. While on a break on the film version of Baywatch with Zac Efron, Dwayne thought he would spread his awesomeness by surprising the kids at Savannah?s Pediatric Specialty Ward:
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is ready to pay it forward this weekend!
While the actor may be hard at work filming scenes with Zac Efron for the upcoming Baywatch movie, the Hollywood star decided to take a break from the beach and visit a few deserving kids.
“I surprised the children at Savannah’s Pediatric Specialty Ward aaaaand look at the concentration on lil’ Aiden’s face!” he wrote on Instagram while giving a fist-bump to one of the patients. “And good Lord I wish I had Aiden’s concentration when I was in my high school math classes. I wouldn’t have failed Algebra twice.”
In true Rock fashion, his Instagram post wouldn’t be complete without a few encouraging words to the families he interacted with.
“To all the kids I met?you guys keep smiling and staying strong. All the mamas and daddy’s I met, y’all stay strong too,” he wrote. “Gotta tell ya little stuff like this will always be the best part of fame.”
He continued, “Awesome experience and THANK YOU to all the hard working and caring staff who helped make this visit possible.”
[From E! Online]
?Aiden? Is pictured in the first Instagram below. If you have ever known a family with a sick child, you know that any upbeat moments to breakup the nerve-wracking time between tests and results is a blessing. This hospital visit comes on the heels of Dwayne arranging to have Gabriel ?Tater? Singleton, a 7 year-old battling stage four neuroblastoma, come to the Baywatch set as his guest. Dwayne posted on Instagram pictures of the boy with the caption, “Tater! Guess what buddy? I’m coming to meet you!! I want you to be my special guest on our #BAYWATCH set in Savannah, GA. Everyone on set is excited to meet you… especially the pretty girls!”
While filming for his show, Ballers, Dwayne worked with an officer named Richard Arias. Eight years ago, Dwayne was escorting his mother, Ata, to weekly chemotherapy and radiation treatments for lung cancer. During that time, Richard was taking his father, Jesus, for treatments at the same hospital. One day, Dwayne and Ata walked in right before Richard and Jesus and when Dwayne saw them, turned around, smiled and held the door for Jesus. Richard told Dwayne he?d been waiting eight years to thank him, saying, ?… you have no idea what that moment meant to him. And me.”
In short, The Rock rocks.
I surprised the children at Savannah's Pediatric Specialty Ward aaaaand look at the concentration on lil' Aiden's face!??. We shot #BAYWATCH scenes at Memorial Health Hospital and thought I'd pop up to the ward. Awesome experience and THANK YOU to all the hard working and caring staff who helped make this visit possible. To all the kids I met – you guys keep smiling and staying strong. All the mamas and daddy's I met, y'all stay strong too. Gotta tell ya little stuff like this will always be the best part of fame. And good Lord I wish I had Aiden's concentration when I was in my high school math classes. I wouldn't have failed Algebra twice. ??????

Kaiser sent me this story yesterday with enormous condolences. Lemme tell ya, I’ve been in mourning ever since. Just kidding, although The Rock is my boo, so don’t you forget it. He doesn’t receive an amazing reception here, but I can’t resist covering news of a Dwayne Johnson pregnancy. Especially when everyone knows the man could effortlessly impregnate women with a flash of that smile. He’s the nicest guy on the planet (besides Dave Grohl), and he’s good with both puppies and small children. Anyway — sigh — it looks like he’s made a real-life baby with his girlfriend of nine years, Lauren Hashian:
A little pebble! Dwayne “The Rock Johnson and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, are expecting their first child together, a source confirms to Us Weekly. Johnson, 43, is already dad to 14-year-old daughter, Simone, with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
“They are so excited! the insider tells Us of Johnson and Hashian, who have been together for nine years.
[From Us Weekly]
The struggle is so real over here. Ah well. I am pleased for him because no one can resist being happy when The Rock is happy. A lot of people don’t realize he has a long-term lady, and The Rock was displeased with this newsflash. He recently told Esquire how Lauren makes his success possible, and he’d never have good things happen to him if his home life wasn’t fantastic. He needs that “balance” to make things happen. What a guy.
The jokes almost write themselves in this story. The Rock put his Dwayne Johnson to use. He’s “cooking” up a baby. There’s a “pebble” on the way. Shall I stop now?

He?s always been a graceful celebrity and Dwayne Johnson spent some time with a very lucky fan on Easter Sunday (April 5).
The ?Furious 7? stud had just finished a promotional circuit from California to Indiana to Florida when he posted the following story via Instagram- ?I?m drivin? in my pick up and notice these kids in the rearview mirror screamin? & runnin? after my truck. Thought to myself, ?Should I stop or keep drivin?? I stopped.?
?I hop out of my truck and this kid runs up to me, hugs the hell outta me and says it?s been his life?s dream to meet me and tell me how much I?ve inspired him to fight cancer (Hodgkin?s lymphoma) and hard core chemo and stem cell transplant treatments. He was a little teary eyed and said for months and months all he?s wanted to do was find me and say this face to face. I told him what it meant to me to hear this story. I thanked him, hugged him (and his friends), got back in my truck and drove away. As I?m drivin? I start shaking my head (and tearing up) at how fragile life is and how amazing and cool the universe was to make this meeting happen between myself and this special kid Nick Miller. Let?s always take a moment to count our blessings.. cause there?s always something to be grateful for. Happy Easter y?all.?

| The Rock wanted a bigger salary than Daniel Craig to play a 007 villain | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is everywhere now and for good reason. People adore him. As the saying goes, ladies love him and men want to be him. The Rock has a recurring role in multiple franchises. Off the top of my head, there’s Fast and Furious, G.I. Joe, and Journey 2. He’ll soon play a DC villain in a Shazam movie. Dude has a very lucrative and enduring career, and he usually seems very humble and appreciative.
The world is not enough for The Rock. I remember hearing (many years ago) that he was gunning for a villainous role in a James Bond movie. It never happened, possibly because of scheduling conflicts. What I didn’t know is that The Rock’s grandfather (Peter Maivia) once played a Bond villain. Peter starred in 1967?s You Only Live Twice. It makes sense that The Rock would want to follow in his grandpa’s hallowed footsteps. This week’s issue of Star says The Rock almost got his 007 villain role. He’s reportedly “crushed over [the] snub.” Why did he get passed over? Too high of a salary demand:
From his height to his biceps, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood — and that goes for his paycheck too! Industry insiders say [he] is desperate to be James Bond’s next bad guy, but producers can’t afford him. “Dwayne asked for more money than Daniel Craig gets to play Bond!” explains the source, who adds that the role calls for a hulking brute similar to metal-mouthed baddie Jaws from the early Bond films. “Dwayne thought he’d be perfect, but shooting starts in a few weeks. Unless he lowers his rates, it’s not going to happen.” So who should fill the coveted role instead?
[From Star, print edition, September 22, 2014]
If this story is true, then Dwayne Johnson comes off as surprisingly douchey here. Yeah he’s an incredible box-office draw for franchises that need a quick boost. James Bond does not need any help. The 007 movies are huge money makers, and any actor would be grateful to land a role for any dollar amount. It would be laughable for The Rock to demand a greater salary than Bond himself. Nice try though.
Star offers up Terry Crews, Jason Momoa, or Vin Diesel as alternatives to The Rock in a 007 villain role. What do you think? Vin is too obvious of a choice. Terry or Jason sound like decent picks. Ooh, you know who would be cool? Tom Hardy.
FYI: Terry Crews wore these pants to visit Jimmy Kimmel last week. This ensemble is nowhere near cool enough for a Bond villain.
