Miley Cyrus has been named Maxim’s top babe on the magazine’s annual Hot 100 list, and she lifts the crown from last year’s winner, Bar Refaeli. Maxim’s list is supposedly voted on by readers of the lad mag, but I’m sure there’s more than a little bit of editorial control when it comes down to the top ten or so choices. At the moment, we don’t know who else made the list (although I’m sure Miley’s romantic rival, January Jones, has secured a spot somewhere, LOL) because the official announcement won’t be made for a few more weeks. However, Miley just couldn’t keep this secret to herself any longer because she posted the above snap from Maxim’s upcoming pictoral on her Twitter account and raved, “Didn’t know this was coming out yet! I’m so happy to be #1 on Maxims HOT 100! #myfanskickass #dreamsdocometrue.”
Dreams coming true? That’s an bizarre attitude for a pop star who recently stated that “A star is someone who doesn?t have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power” immediately before giving herself a front wedgie and flashing crack in V magazine. You know that when Maxim’s cover feature comes out, Miley will be posing in sexy mode too. After all, that’s the kind of image the magazine puts forth, and that’s the kind of image Miley truly wants. Oh well. It’s better than Mila Kunis topping yet another list. At least Miley making #1 is unexpected and interesting even if the selection is probably publicist dictated.
Oh, and Miley finally went and started an Instagram account, so she’ll be posting photos like crazy there in addition to on Twitter and Facebook. Because she’s such a private person.
Here’s Miley pumping gas last week while pairing a “Sex, Drugs & Rap” t-shirt with nearly nonexistent shorts and extremely high heels. So classy.

Miley Cyrus’ shoot for V Magazine is one of the most desperate, contrived, awkward, disingenuous attempts at sexy I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing. Every last shot is cringe-worthy. But my life coach says I need to embrace the positives and look for the good in things, so instead of burning her, I’m supposed to say something nice. And after twenty minutes of staring blankly at the screen, “it looks like she’s finally growing into that face” was the best I could come up with. Personal growth and development takes time.

Making sure she is the first face you see on newsstands everywhere, Miley Cyrus appeared in V Magazine recently, and the publication released a behind-the-scenes video of her cover shoot.
The "Hannah Montana" star sports a variety of revealing outfits, dances, and laughs as she poses for photographer Mario Testino.
In the issue, the 20-year-old actress/singer addresses the rumors flying around about her and fiance Liam Hemsworth, saying, "Every week it's like, 'Are they broken up? Because we don't see a photo of them.' I don't have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don't."
Sharing the scheduling difficulties, Miley continues, "He gets up to work out at six and I come home around five from the studio. I've put this record before everything and I've never done that with anything. I've put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it."

Here is Miley Cyrus struck a provocative pose for the cover of V Magazine’s “Drawn to Fashion” issue, which hits newsstands on May 9.
She bared a part of her behind and modeled colorful hairstyles in the shoot with famed fashion photographer Mario Testino.
Miley also touches on her heavily scrutinized relationship with Liam Hemsworth, saying, “I’m not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week it’s ‘Are they broken up? Because we don’t see a photo of them.’ I don’t have time go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don’t. I’d rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him.”

Miley Cyrus covers the June issue of V magazine with three different covers, and the first instance (shown above) features Miley well on the way to giving herself a front wedgie while sporting boy-cut underwear … although I suspect those would be some really cool boots if we could fully see them. Really, this photoshoot is kind of a nightmare from a PR standpoint. Don’t get me wrong, Miley’s face looks great, but she’s flashing some major crack (don’t worry, it’s blurred out) in one of the editorial shots, and this development comes hot on the heels of Miley’s judgy declaration in Elle UK that “A star is someone who doesn?t have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power.” Oops.
Meanwhile, Miley is still talking up her relationship with Liam in this interview, which leads me to believe that perhaps she gave a lot of publicity while she and Liam were still up in the air. Of course, they’re probably still undecided on the fate of their nuptuals (those crazy kids), but I’m of the opinion that they’re truly on the rocks and just can’t admit it to each other. As such, Miley is making a fool of herself taking about how wonderful her relationship with Liam really is (while he says nothing), and she insists that they just haven’t had the time for a photo op lately because she’s so busy being all about the music (as opposed to Liam being busy making repeat visits to January Jones’ house). Here are some interview excerpts:
On her love life: “I’m not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week it’s ‘Are they broken up?’ Because we don’t see a photo of them.’ I don’t have time go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don’t. I’d rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him. And then I’m at the studio all day. He gets up to work out at six and I come home at five from the studio. I put this record before everything, and I’ve never done that with anything. I’ve put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it.”
On her new sound: “I can never say that I don’t love ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ and that I’m not appreciative of it. It would like my dad saying that he hated ‘Achy Breaky.’ It’s what gives you everything that you have. I would never take it back.”
On her changing style: “I’m going to change, I’m going to be different, I’m going to do what I want to do. I chopped my hair and bought a pair of Docs and never looked back.”

Poor Miley. And I’m not even saying that in a facetious manner — I truly think that she believes that her new music will take the entire world by storm when we all know that it will simply be a mediocre affair. Obviously, she and Liam are having problems, and she’s throwing herself into work. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course. Liam will show his true colors sooner or later, and Miley may as well make some headway before that happens. For the record, I hope she proves me wrong and makes some amazing music instead of merely showing her ass crack just like the pop stars that she makes fun of. Miley is better than that even if she doesn’t realize it.
