I completely blanked on the fact that Justin Timberlake wrote a book. That?s why we?ve been seeing so many random-ass headlines about Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel the stories are all excerpts from his book, Hindsight & All The Things I Can?t See in Front of Me (that title is a massive eyeroll). So, would you like to know some details about Justin and Jessica?s courtship and marriage? Who is asking for this? Here you go:
The first time he met Jessica: ?When I met Jess, it was undeniable how beautiful she is. We were at a surprise party in Hollywood at a speakeasy kind of bar, a private club, and we were standing around in a group of people.? The singer then revealed he made a ?sarcastic comment? that ?nobody got except her.? While he didn?t ask for her number that night because he had to ?psych? himself up, his friend brought the 7th Heaven alum to one of his concerts in San Diego.
Their courtship: After the duo exchanged numbers, they talked on the phone for two weeks while Timberlake finished his tour. ?When I came back from my tour, we spent a month together. After that, I said, ?I really want to be exclusive.? And somehow, she said, ?So do I.??
He wrote ?Mirrors? about their love: ?I wrote the song ?Mirrors? for my wife. We were living together at the time. We weren?t engaged yet. In fact, it was years before I proposed. She?s become a huge influence in my life, and I have such admiration for her. ? She?s a very good writer. She?s a poet. She?s a tremendous actor. She?s funny. She changed me. She changed my life. All of that is in ?Mirrors.? Not the details. But the way it felt to have my life be touched by her.?
Jessica?s changing body: ?I?ve watched my wife change. I?ve watched her body change. It?s a temple. It should be worshiped. It should be marveled at. I?m fascinated by her. She?s everything, man. She just constantly surprises me with who she is, and who she?s becoming, and I really hope I do the same for her. I?m excited to see what she?s going to do next. I wake up and roll over and look at her, and I?m inspired. She?s a different person from when I first met her, but she?s also the same. I?m sure she?d say the same thing about me. Ten years is a long time. I used to think we want to be loved for what we are, but maybe more now, I think we want to be loved for what we aren?t. I think we want to be loved for all our f?ked-up sh-t.?
[From Us Weekly]
I still think ?Mirrors? is a terrible song, for what it?s worth. It?s catchy, but the lyrics are basically ?you?re really great because you?re reflecting back my greatness, and I?m so awesome which means you are too.? As for what he says about their courtship? I?ll admit that I never gave Justin my undivided gossip attention, but I seem to remember that the beginning of his relationship with Jessica was a lot messier than that, and for years, they were always halfway broken up, and he was seeing other people, like Mila Kunis and Olivia Munn. I mean, I think it?s sweet that he wants to rewrite their narrative and act like he always knew Biel was his soulmate. But I also sort of thought she was a doormat for taking him back so many times. Eh.

| Justin Timberlake does 'a lot' of Jessica Biel's shoe shopping: 'I love women's shoes' | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

For years now, Jessica Biel has not had great style. I do think she?s pretty, but her whole ?look? is usually a failure, whether it?s bad hair, a bad dress, bad makeup or various combinations of all three. For a while there, she had bangs and they were too long and too thick and they literally ruined every single one of her looks. These days, she?s been looking a bit better (I thought her Emmy look was pretty good). So who gets credit? According to Justin Timberlake, he gets credit, because he cares deeply about Jessica?s clothes and shoes. JT chatted with People Magazine about his Fresh Leaves line with Levi?s, and he ended up talking about Jessica?s fashion.
Justin Timberlake reveals that he?s typically the curator of his wife Jessica Biel?s shoe selection.
?A lot of times I?ll push her to try something, like, ?You should own a pair of Jordans, just because,? Timberlake, 37, tells PEOPLE. ?I do a lot of her shoe shopping; I love women?s shoes.?
When it comes to red carpet style, he knows all eyes are on Biel (as they were at the Emmys, below, where she was nominated for her performance in The Sinner) and he does whatever he can to be a good-looking date.
?I make sure that I coordinate with my wife, for sure,? he says when asked if he and Biel ever match their outfits on the red carpet. ?It?s like what they say about partner dancing: frame her. Be there to be the frame!?
But his style advice isn?t just reserved for Biel. He says he?s already building up an impressive collection of pieces to give to their 3-year-old son, Silas, one day. ?He?s built just like me, so there are two things ? my Jordans and my Levi?s?that I?ll probably pass down to him. I love fashion so I always try to do like a little bit of a swerve on whatever [outfit] I?m [wearing], but style is not meant to be taken too literally; I try not to overthink it,? he explains about his own fashion sense.
[From People]
I feel like we hear this often enough from celebrity men, that they care about their lady?s shoes and feet. Personally, that doesn?t impress me a foot/shoe fetish is a pretty basic, vanilla fetish for most men, so it?s not titillating or weird when a guy is like ?I want to see my lady in Choos or Louboutins.? Call me when your husband has an opinion on your brows or whether hot Pink is really replacing Millennial Pink. I?m more interested in Justin pretending to think that he?s not the main attraction when he?s on the carpet with Jessica ?It?s like what they say about partner dancing: frame her.? LOL. He?s not capable of that. If he?s on a red carpet, he thinks he?s the biggest deal there. He?ll talk over Jessica in every one of her interviews, he?ll try to pull focus, and if he could, he would wear the loudest, most clashing suit out there. Framing, my ass.
Something nice: Justin and Jessica visited LeBron James? I Promise school.

Jessica Biel has been legitimately nominated for big awards in the past year for her work on The Sinner. She starred and produced the first miniseries, and it was one of the rare miniseries that I watched from start to finish. It was dumb, story-wise, but Biel?s performance was good and I was proud of her for shepherding the project as a producer. It?s a big deal for her to be recognized with all of these big nominations. But of course, her husband is her plus-one, and Justin Timberlake does have a habit of making everything about Justin Timberlake.
Still, let?s focus for a moment on Jessica Biel. The Ralph and Russo dress is actually fantastic from the waist up, I wasn?t in love with it because I thought the corset-top was too cinched. But I love the whole look the dress is gorgeous and dramatic and vaguely bridal too (which I also enjoy). My one quibble here is that this dress needed to be paired with a better hairstyle. ?Low-key beachy waves? don?t go with a full-on proper gown.
Here?s their E! Red carpet interview. Watch how carefully Justin avoids speaking for like 30 whole seconds. He?s trying to be good. But then he can?t help himself! He was about to BURST because his wife was getting attention.

| Jessica Biel shuttered her terrible LA restaurant Au Fudge after two awful years | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Several years ago, Jessica Biel settled on an idea for a vanity side-project: she was going to open up a ?family friendly? restaurant where parents could go with their kids and everything would be stress-free yet trendy. It took years of careful planning, and then she opened Au Fudge in early 2016. The reviews were bad the food was nothing special, there wasn?t much of a kids? menu, and Biel?s version of ?family friendly? is a two-page booze menu. There were also complaints about how cramped everything was, and how the place wasn?t that hygienic either. To make matters worse, nine ex-employees sued Biel and Au Fudge last fall for defrauding them out of their tips and more. Total mess. So? after about two and a half years, Au Fudge is done.
Say so long to Au Fudge. The trendy eatery opened by actress Jessica Biel in 2016 that was created with moms and families in mind, abruptly closed its doors on Sunday, July 15. A source tells Us Weekly the West Hollywood restaurant, which was set up with areas where kids could do art projects and other activities while their parents ate, is ?done.? Per the source, the news was upsetting for those who worked there: ?The staff found out a couple days ago and tearfully greeted guests on its last day.?
The restaurant?s closing was confirmed by a pair of Instagram posts shared on July 14 and 15. The first post expressed gratitude to Au Fudge?s loyal customers stating, ?Thank you for so many years of support. Tomorrow is our last day open at the restaurant, but more things to come from Au Fudge. As of Monday, July 16, we will be open for private events.? A follow-up post shared just hours later once again confirmed the establishment is shutting its doors. ?Today is our last day of regular business hours at Au Fudge the restaurant. We are still available for private events and @aufudgecamp is only a few blocks away!? the post explained. ?Thanks for all the support.?
Biel, who has a 3-year-old son, Silas, with husband Justin Timberlake, hinted that Au Fudge wasn?t exactly thriving in a January 2017 interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. ?The restaurant business is way harder than being a producer,? she told Kimmel at the time. ?[We?re] definitely not making money. Nobody?s making money in the restaurant business, in my experience, at least not yet.? While the restaurant is no more, Au Fudge CAMP (Center for Art Music and Play) will still offer weekly classes such as toddler dance and French music for children ages 4 months to 8 years.
[From Us Weekly]
People always say that starting a restaurant is really difficult, but I tend to think that Biel made it a lot harder than it needed to be. She half-assed her vanity side-project and it showed. She didn?t hire people who knew how to run a successful restaurant, she didn?t hire people to set up the restaurant in the right way, and she definitely didn?t think about the food. I tend to think that people will overlook a lack of ambience and general shadiness if the food is really outstanding. That?s not what happened here: it?s almost as if the actual FOOD was an afterthought for this restaurant. I would say that you live and you learn, but Biel was a grown-ass woman who could afford to hire smart people to carry out her vision and make it successful. She didn?t do that.

| Jessica Biel in Ralph & Russo at the Emmys: tragic or improving? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I took partial credit for Jessica Biel last night. When I only saw her from the waist up, I felt a sense of relief that she wasn?t hiding behind those g–damn bangs she?s had for several years. Her bangs were arguably THE WORST bangs in Hollywood. They were too long, too thick, too unflattering to her face. So I felt like, well, my work here is done. At least she no longer has bangs. But I guess I have to give her a few more pointers. For one, this Ralph & Russo is bad and she needs a cleaner silhouette. Two, even though your bangs are no longer around (and that?s a good thing), you need to figure out a better hairstyle than ?Grand Ole Opry circa 1982.?
Tatiana Maslany in a very simple, flattering and pretty Reem Acra. Nice, although I would have loved to see her mix it up just a little bit more. I get the feeling that she?s not much of a fashion person though. She was with her longtime lover Tom Cullen.
Leslie Jones in Christian Siriano. I love her and I feel her struggles about finding something that flatters her figure and her height. Siriano often makes special gowns for Leslie and they seem to have a great relationship. This is not the best, but I?ll give her a pass.
Padma Lakshmi also wore Christian Siriano. Like, this isn?t bad, but it?s not good either. It reminds me of something Eva Longoria would wear to these events – hasn?t Eva worn 20 million versions of this dress to various events over the years? And at this point, I just don?t give a sh-t about taffeta.

Has anyone else been watching The Sinner? Jessica Biel stars and produces the limited-run series on the USA network, and I?ve been watching it and enjoying it. The story is a mess and it?s basically half-soap opera, half-cheeseball legal drama, but it?s good and it?s made me appreciate Jessica Biel a little bit. For years, Biel has not really had the kind of work she thinks she deserves – she wants to be seen as a contender for Oscar-bait films, but we know she thinks she?s seen as ?too pretty? by Hollywood, because Hollywood loathes attractive people. So in the absence of quality work, Jessica spent years putting together a restaurant in LA called Au Fudge. It?s supposed to be a fancy-yet-kid-friendly LA place, with a big booze menu but lots of kid-friendly toys and food too. There have been reports about how Au Fudge is a total mess and the food isn?t even that great, although maybe they worked out some kinks. Anyway, this doesn?t bode well – Au Fudge and Jessica Biel are being sued by nine current and former employees of Au Fudge:
Au Fudge restaurant may be cooking up some legal troubles in West Hollywood. E! News has learned that nine current or former workers are suing Jessica Biel and the celebrity-favorite establishment for unlawful conversion of employee gratuities, fraud and other damages.
“Each of them had their gratuities wrongfully converted and were improperly denied meal and rest breaks, overtime compensation and earned wages under various illegal payroll practices,” the plaintiffs allege in court documents obtained by E! News. “Defendants charged hundreds of thousands of dollars in gratuities to private-party customers and converted said gratuities to themselves in order to pad their own pockets and deprive plaintiffs their just compensation in violation of law.”
When asked for comment, a lawyer for the defendants said, “The Company does not comment on pending litigation and has not had an opportunity to review the Complaint, but looks forward to defending itself in Court.”
According to a former Au Fudge restaurant manager who provided a declaration for the plaintiffs, the company’s business model is allegedly based on the sales of private events and buy-outs. Private events are smaller type parties of $10,000 or less while buy-outs are larger events that can cost up to $100,000 plus. In court documents, the plaintiffs allege that the total estimated wrongfully converted gratuity from private events is roughly $150,000. As for private events and buy-outs, they estimate a grand total of $430,000.
[From E! News]
Sounds about right. There was a lot of back-and-forth in the media in the first months of Au Fudge?s opening – some critics said the food was bad and too expensive, and then other critics made suspiciously glowing and positive claims about the restaurant, almost as if Biel?s people were quietly paying off reviewers and/or paying for online reviews. But I remembered the bad reviews, about the unhygienic vibes, the bad service, the mediocre food. Au Fudge just seemed poorly managed from the start, and now that we?re hearing about this lawsuit? yeah, it?s like ?when a vanity project explodes in your face.? Biel wanted to open a restaurant and she didn?t know how to do it, so she f–ked it up entirely.

| Jessica Biel in ruffled Self-Portrait at 'The Sinner' premiere: cute or basic' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Jessica Biel at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere event for her new USA miniseries The Sinner. I honestly didn?t know that Biel was coming back to TV, but here we are. First, the fashion/style: Biel wore a dress from Self-Portrait?s Fall 2017 collection. I don?t really care for the ruffles nor the fabric, but it?s not terrible. I?m also sort of grateful that she pushed back her bangs. Bless.
As for the miniseries, or ?limited series,? it?s based on Petra Hammesfahr?s book The Sinner. Biel plays the lead role, a young wife and mother who kills some guy at the beach in front of witnesses. No one knows why she did it. Bill Pullman plays her court-appointed shrink, I think. Here?s the trailer:
I think this looks good? It looks almost like prestige-television and I?m a little bit surprised that it?s on USA and not a premium cable channel. It?s eight episodes and it doesn?t premiere until August, so they?re probably just trying to increase buzz at the Tribeca Film Festival. I will say this… I don’t hate this as a career move for Biel. She tried to do the movie-star thing and people really stopped buying it. There’s nothing wrong with going back to television work, especially if you wait for a prestige-project like this.

| Jessica Biel in Ralph Lauren at the VF Oscar party: tedious or fine? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake weren?t content to ruin the Oscars (YEAH I SAID IT). They also had to ruin the after-parties too! And maybe – ? – Justin made Jessica change out of her hideous Oscar dress into this equally fug Ralph Lauren look for the Vanity Fair party. What is it with Jessica and gold? It?s theme dressing, I fear. Anyway, the whole sheet-cape effect is something that Cate Blanchett could absolutely pull off. On Biel, this look falls flat (and I?m not just talking about what the dress is doing to her bust).
Reese Witherspoon in Michael Kors. I really like this – it?s a cute cocktail dress and she looks nice. Sometimes it?s not that complicated, you know? Find a cute dress and pair it with some simple styling. Bam, you?re done.
Kerry Washington in Michael Kors. I?m having a love/hate relationship with this. Do I think it?s sexy or do I think it?s tacky? I honestly can?t decide. The bronze shade ends up looking flesh-toned on Kerry, but I also think that?s kind of hot. Beyond my confusion about the dress, she looks beautiful. Great hair & makeup.
Amanda Peet in Michael Kors. Well, it?s a lot better than what she usually wears?

Felicity Jones switched into this heavy Erdem look. I think this is better than the milquetoast Dior she wore to the Oscars, but that?s not saying much. This seems way too much for an Oscar party, honestly.
