| Jessica Biel in ruffled Self-Portrait at 'The Sinner' premiere: cute or basic' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Jessica Biel at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere event for her new USA miniseries The Sinner. I honestly didn?t know that Biel was coming back to TV, but here we are. First, the fashion/style: Biel wore a dress from Self-Portrait?s Fall 2017 collection. I don?t really care for the ruffles nor the fabric, but it?s not terrible. I?m also sort of grateful that she pushed back her bangs. Bless.
As for the miniseries, or ?limited series,? it?s based on Petra Hammesfahr?s book The Sinner. Biel plays the lead role, a young wife and mother who kills some guy at the beach in front of witnesses. No one knows why she did it. Bill Pullman plays her court-appointed shrink, I think. Here?s the trailer:
I think this looks good? It looks almost like prestige-television and I?m a little bit surprised that it?s on USA and not a premium cable channel. It?s eight episodes and it doesn?t premiere until August, so they?re probably just trying to increase buzz at the Tribeca Film Festival. I will say this… I don’t hate this as a career move for Biel. She tried to do the movie-star thing and people really stopped buying it. There’s nothing wrong with going back to television work, especially if you wait for a prestige-project like this.

| Jessica Biel in Ralph Lauren at the VF Oscar party: tedious or fine? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake weren?t content to ruin the Oscars (YEAH I SAID IT). They also had to ruin the after-parties too! And maybe – ? – Justin made Jessica change out of her hideous Oscar dress into this equally fug Ralph Lauren look for the Vanity Fair party. What is it with Jessica and gold? It?s theme dressing, I fear. Anyway, the whole sheet-cape effect is something that Cate Blanchett could absolutely pull off. On Biel, this look falls flat (and I?m not just talking about what the dress is doing to her bust).
Reese Witherspoon in Michael Kors. I really like this – it?s a cute cocktail dress and she looks nice. Sometimes it?s not that complicated, you know? Find a cute dress and pair it with some simple styling. Bam, you?re done.
Kerry Washington in Michael Kors. I?m having a love/hate relationship with this. Do I think it?s sexy or do I think it?s tacky? I honestly can?t decide. The bronze shade ends up looking flesh-toned on Kerry, but I also think that?s kind of hot. Beyond my confusion about the dress, she looks beautiful. Great hair & makeup.
Amanda Peet in Michael Kors. Well, it?s a lot better than what she usually wears?

Felicity Jones switched into this heavy Erdem look. I think this is better than the milquetoast Dior she wore to the Oscars, but that?s not saying much. This seems way too much for an Oscar party, honestly.

| Jessica Biel in Kaufmanfranco at the Oscars: Oscar statuette cosplay? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

It?s hard to choose what was worse last night, Justin Timberlake or Jessica Biel?s dress. Timberlake?s try-hard meant that his poor wife had to actually dress up in Oscar-statue cosplay, and I never thought I would feel this sorry for Jessica Biel. Like, she has to deal with him every damn day. I would need to be medicated.
Biel wore Kaufmanfranco and this dress is pretty bad, although it was sort of bizarrely on-trend with all of the Oscar fashion last night. Like, so many people were wearing metallics or muted hues, and so many women looked like the wrath of God. For whatever record, I do think Biel is pretty in general, she just works with stylists who hate her, apparently. There?s no reason for her to wear this dress to the Oscars. There?s no reason for her hair to look like this.
As for her try-hard husband? he not only got to open the Oscars, but he also tried to steal focus from every woman in his vacinity. He would barely allow Biel to pose for separate fashion photos. He ?camera-bombed? Emma Stone too. Like, maybe Biel should slip him a Xanax before she takes him anywhere.

| Justin Timberlake's wife wore Elie Saab to the Golden Globes: pretty or meh' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Justin Timberlake was the host of our Open Post, and I feel like we were doing the lord?s work when we talked about how Justin should never win anything for his stupid ?Can?t Stop the Feeling? song. And look what happened ? JT lost! YAY. He should have lost to Lin-Manuel Miranda, but nothing is perfect. And since JT was a Golden Globe nominee, he couldn?t let Jessica Biel have any of the attention. Not that he would have let her get any attention anyway. Biel?s dress is Elie Saab, if you do want to pry your eyes away from Timberlake. While I dislike the dress ? she seemed uncomfortable and it really wasn?t cute ? I?m giving her props on the styling. NO BANGS!
Here?s Matty D and his wife Luciana. She wore Versace. He wore unconvincing facial hair. He was there as producer of Manchester by the Sea, and he was hoping to rub some of his ?I?m a decent guy? vibe on Casey Affleck. Did it work? Or no?
Sam Taylor-Johnson and Aaron Taylor Johnson. I still can?t believe he won over Mahershala Ali. But I did like Aaron?s speech (is it just me or does his accent skip between American and British?).
And this year's #GoldenGlobes winner for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture is Aaron Taylor-Johnson! pic.twitter.com/fDR6aCahkI

| Jessica Biel was bangsy & boho in Elie Saab at Critics' Choice: love it or hate it' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some fashion photos from last night?s Critics Choice Awards. CB and I were so confused yesterday because the Critics Choice usually happen in January, in the heat of awards season, but for some reason the association decided to host the awards in the dead of December this year. As such, I feel like the fashion was sort of struggling. You?ll see evidence of that throughout our fashion coverage! And let?s start with an obvious one ? this is Jessica Biel in Elie Saab. Biel was mostly there as the ?date of? Justin Timberlake, who was there supporting his work in the animated film Trolls, plus he was a presenter. I actually think I know where Biel was going with this look ? she thought the Elie Saab dress was sort of understated with a boho vibe, so Biel thought she would do some boho, Joni Mitchell-circa-1974 hair. And it does not work. Like, at all. The dress is ugly and the hair is atrocious. Biel is a pretty woman, but she fundamentally does not understand her styling strengths.
I would have shrugged off Kerry Washington?s Elie Saab look as not-the-best-but-not-the-worst, but I saw her on-camera on the pre-show and she seemed so bubbly and vivacious, it makes me like this whole look so much more. She?s adorable.
Lily Collins went full goth-girl in her Elie Saab dress, which looks like grandma?s doily.
Tatiana Maslany in Boss. I feel like this is what most women should have done ? chosen a simple dress that they liked, done an easy updo, slap on some bright lipstick and call it a day. While I don?t think this dress is the best, she looks very pretty.
Greta Gerwig in Gucci. I like Greta, I think she?s a really talented actress, but I?m passing on this dress. She deserves better.

| Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel are hosting a Hillary Clinton fundraiser | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Call me crazy, but I never really think of Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake as very political people. They seem so middle-of-the-road, and before today, if you asked me to imagine who they vote for, I would have said, ?Um? I bet they ?forget? to vote every election year.? But as it turns out, both Justin and Jessica were Obama supporters, and now they are both #WithHer. They?re Hillary Clinton supporters. Not only are they down with the HRC, they?re going to be last-minute fill-in hosts for a fancy Clinton fundraiser. They?re taking over hosting duties from Leonardo DiCaprio!
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel will fill in for Leonardo DiCaprio as hosts of a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on Tuesday. A source familiar with the plans said that Timberlake and Biel now will host the event at their home, after DiCaprio was unable to return to Los Angeles before Wednesday because he has to complete a project in time for it to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 9, the source said. DiCaprio asked Biel and Timberlake to host the event after he couldn?t make it.
DiCaprio is producing a climate change documentary, ?Before the Flood,? with Brett Ratner, Fisher Stevens and Rick Yorn. The documentary is an account of how society can prevent the demise of endangered species, ecosystems and native communities across the globe. Those featured in the doc include President Obama, Former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State John Kerry, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Pope Francis, along with a host of scientists and conservationists.
The lunchtime fundraiser, with tickets at $33,400 per person, is one of a series of events Clinton is attending in a swing through Southern California.
[From Variety]
I bet the tickets will sell/have sold really well. Why I don?t care about much of anything involving Leo D, JT or Biel, I would love to see their homes. If I was a rich Hollywood type, I would want to see Leo?s lunchtime spread, and now I would want to see JT and Biel?s home too. I bet the food will be better at Biel and Timberlake?s fundraiser. Not that it?s about the food (but it is about the food). I bet Timberlake wants fried chicken! I hope he gets his wish.
By the way, are you buying the idea that Leo just couldn?t get away to host and support Hillary? I wonder if DiCaprio?s sudden cancelation has anything to do with the Department of Justice taking a closer look at the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and it?s shady-ass investors? THR did a lengthy, exclusive story about how the LDF has gotten caught up in a massive embezzlement probe by the DOJ. That?s probably not a great look for Hillary Clinton.

| Jessica Biel in Roland Mouret at the Spirit Awards: fabulous or fug? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The Independent Spirit Awards are usually pretty loose and come-as-you-are, which means you usually don?t get Fashion Girls just showing up for the hell of it. Like, that?s what the Vanity Fair Oscar party is for. So I?m not entirely sure why Jessica Biel came out for the Spirits – she presented, but was she even IN a film in 2015? Let me check? yeah, she was, but no one saw her sad 2015 films. Still, Biel came out and she tried to ?win? the fashion show in this Roland Mouret dress. If I?m being honest, I kind of like this. I love the colors, and I love the low-key vibe. I just want to rework it a little bit. The skirt should be longer and the top part needs to be a touch tighter, and she shouldn?t have tried to match her eye makeup to the dress. Also, check out her shoes!
Rachel McAdams in Solace. God, I want her to look amazing at the Oscars. While this, to me, doesn?t make it up to ?amazing? status, it?s pretty good. I like that she went for something slightly different, and this is the most I?ve ever like this shade of pumpkin. I kind of think the dress would have been even better if the whole thing was that shade of cream though.
Bel Powley in Mary Katrantzou Pre-Fall 2016. I like this, I just wish it was fully lined. Right? I have a strange affection for laser-cut leather, but this needed a built-in nude slip.
Idris Elba. G?damn this man can wear a suit.

Here is Jessica Biel visiting the restaurant on trendy Melrose Avenue earlier in the day and returned in the evening dressed in a stunning white off-the-shoulder dress in Los Angeles.
The former 7th Heaven star added a splash of color to her virginal ensemble with a dark red manicure and some funky patterned pumps.

| Jessica Biel in custom Monse at Baby2Baby gala: tragic, terrible or lovely? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Just know, I wasn?t even going to bother with the fashion coverage from this weekend?s Baby2Baby gala event, but then I saw the photos of Jessica Biel. And I just HAD to say something. To be clear, this was a ?gala,? so ball gowns and prom dresses were encouraged. In years past, this event ? a charity gala which raises money to give diapers and baby stuff to low-income mothers ? gets a decent turn-out and many women dress up in formal gowns. But Jessica Biel?s dress just seems really, really extra for the venue.
Biel?s gown was a custom-made Monse from their Spring 2016 collection. I think this would have been interesting A) on a different woman and B) at a different event. Like, imagine this on Cate Blanchett at an awards show. It would be ?interesting,? right? But on Biel, with the lackluster styling, at a somewhat minor charity event, it just feels? wrong. Bad. Also: the necklace is much too heavy for the dress.
Reese Witherspoon in Giambattista Valli Spring 2015. Reese?s red carpet style has been really, really boring lately. What?s weird is that whenever she gets pap?d on the street, I almost always love her street style. But for big events, it?s like she?s just phoning it in.
Kerry Washington came out to this event and her dress was probably my favorite. She wore this Giambattista Valli gown which reminds me a lot of an Oscar de la Renta look. It suits her, it?s flattering, it?s princess-y and she looks lovely. One minor complaint: the lipstick is so weird that it makes Kerry look like she got lip injections.
Jessica Alba in Giambattista Valli ? I feel like she has several different versions of ?a sacky mustard-colored gown.? I could have sworn she?s worn this before, and I could have sworn that I?m hating it for the second time. Maybe I just loathe shades of mustard. It?s true.
Jenna Dewan in Monique Lhuillier. Like Biel?s gown, this one has a prom vibe, probably because of satin. I don?t hate the green, but the white heels are made of NO. Charming Potato looks nice though.
