I’m sure this story is exaggerated for effect, but that’s not going to stop me from repeating it. In an appearance on the Graham Norton show, which airs tonight, superhero hunk Hugh Jackman said that he recently had to switch from genuine metal claws for his character Wolverine to plastic claws. The reason being that his manhood was in peril from a near miss with the metal claws. Here’s what he said:
High Jackman… was trying to protect his modesty while filming a naked scene for the upcoming superhero film when he nearly lost little Hugh permanently.
“There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set,” he told Graham Norton on his chat show. “I ran round the corner and all the female members of the crew were gathered there.
“I tried to cover myself and cut my inner thigh – it was just the inner thigh thankfully! The metal claws had to go – you can’t have bits and pieces flying off.”
The actor – who will soon be hosting this year’s Tony Awards – made the comment during his appearance on this week’s episode of The Graham Norton Show, where his co-star Michael Fassbender praised Hugh’s commitment to his gym routine and admitted his energy was infectious.
“His discipline is incredible – he is up and in the gym at 4.30 in the morning, every morning,” said Michael, slightly in awe. “When we arrived there was a Jackman effect and we all started training to try and keep up.”
Hugh spent 18 months in total toning up for his most recent stint as mutant Marvel Comics hero Wolverine, who possesses animal-keen senses and a capacity to heal quickly.

I need to see more of the Graham Norton interview considering that Jackman, Fassbender AND McAvoy were there. Yes please. They were promoting X Men: Days of Future Past, of course, which is not out until May 23, damnit. I was hoping it was out sooner.
As for Jackman’s story, I imagine that the female crew members were all gathered in that particular location for a reason, amiright? I mean I would wait around for hours just for a chance to see Jackman shirtless. Tell me he’s naked and I’ll be at the film on opening night. (You know they’re not going to show the goods that were in peril, though. It’s only PG 13.)
There’s a new X Men Days of Future Past preview featuring Magneto and Charles Xavier, but beware that it’s slightly spoilery. Also another preview featuring Jennifer Lawrence and Peter Dinklage has also been released. Lawrence kicks some serious ass.

He?s always on the go it seems, and Hugh Jackman flew into Vancouver, Canada on Monday night (April 7) for some career duties.
The ?Les Miserables? hunk smiled as he towed his luggage through the airport, gearing up for re-shoots on his new film ?Chappie.?
Meanwhile, Jackman told Britain?s Press Association that he loves his ongoing role as Wolverine in the ?X-Men? movies, though if he were ever to retire, he?d like to see a certain ?Magic Mike? hunk take over the gig.
Hugh noted, "I don't know who could play [Wolverine], Channing Tatum could probably play him," adding, "[I?ll keep doing it] as long as it keeps going deeper, and there's a reason for another film and it's not just, 'Oh, let's see him again.? And If there's a really great script, a great director and a really good reason to play the part again. Otherwise, if I don't feel that ... then it's better to give the role to someone else."

| Hugh Jackman & Michael Fassbender had an on-set dance-off to 'Blurred Lines' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Michael Fassbender likes to dance. We?re always hearing stories about him dancing his ginger off at premiere parties, and occasionally there are brilliant photos of The Bender dancing with The Batch (sidenote: when I write a torrid romance novel, it will be called The Bender & The Batch). So what happens when Dancing Fassy joins forces with a old-school song-and-dance man like Hugh Jackman? Something wonderful. And something sort of sketchy.
Actors Hugh Jackman and Michael Fassbender reportedly danced around to “Blurred Lines” in between takes for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The 45-year-old actor told The Sun, “Michael was particularly enamored with the video to “Blurred Lines”.”
He added, “We’d strut about. I used to play the song in between takes on the X-Men set. It was a lot of fun. Everyone would just go into character and we’d be strutting around. It was identical to the video but we’d be mutants.”
It wasn’t just dancing either, Jackman added that they would sing along to the huge Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams hit, “I didn’t need to take the high bits. You’d be surprised what talented singers Michael and James [McAvoy] are. They could get up there.”

I would have preferred if Hugh and Michael were slow-dancing to ?These Arms of Mine? just because that would have been? perfection. Will you take this? Or is it dumb because it?s stupid ?Blurred Lines?? You have to remember, when they were filming X-Men: Days of Future Past, ?Blurred Lines? was super-popular and we weren?t intimately familiar with Robin Thicke?s skeeze.

| Hugh Jackman & James McAvoy promote X-Men in London: who would you rather? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of James McAvoy and Hugh Jackman in London at an unveiling of? let me get this right? an ?X-MEN themed pendolino Virgin train at Euston Station to celebrate the release of of X-MEN: Days of Future Past.? Sure. X-Men: Days of Future Past has lots of product tie-ins, and you?ve probably already seen some of the commercials. Have you seen the Hardee?s ads with Mystique? Days of Future Past isn?t even out until May 23rd, so we?ve got two months of promotional stops like this ahead of us. And personally, I can?t wait.
That?s one good thing about having such an enormous ensemble ? different mutants can do different parts of the promotional tour. I mean, the ?leads? this time around include Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page and James McAvoy. There will be lots of combinations there-in and we?re going to have some fun with it.
Incidentally, I took my mom to X-Men: First Class in the theaters, and she LOVED it. I expected her to enjoy it, but I wasn?t expecting her to become, like, loonie for all things X-Men (she bought the box set of the first three films). I asked her last night if she wanted to see the new one and before I had even finished asking, she was like ?YES WE ARE SEEING THAT ON OPENING WEEKEND.?
Anyway, James and Hugh are looking very good here. I think CB is more into Hugh, and she really likes his greying, short beard here. He is aging really well, isn?t he? He?s 45 years old. Now, as for James? lord, he?s cute. THOSE EYES. So? who would I rather? James. But that?s no slam on Hugh ? Hugh?s looking very good here, I?m just more into McAvoy.

Nothing can take down Hugh Jackman. Not mutants, sentinels, that terrible first Wolverine movie and definitely not skin cancer. Jackman tells Access Hollywood that the red patch he found on his nose which turned out to be basal cell carcinoma was removed and he’s in the clear.
?I?m all good! It?s all out,? the actor told Access Hollywood at the David Lynch Foundation Presents: Change Begins Within Benefit Gala in New York City on Tuesday. ?Thank you to my beautiful wife who said, ?Come on, go and get it checked.?
?It was just a red dot on my nose and I was like, maybe I injured it in a fight sequence or something, and lo and behold it wasn?t ? It was a basal cell carcinoma,? he continued. ?I?m an Aussie, we have to get checked but everyone should get checked. Particularly if you?re my age. If you?re 21 or older, you just go and get checked. It?s simple.?
A bonus on getting that red patch removed is now his kids will stop calling him Rudolph. Those jerks.

Spending some guy time with the other male in his household, Hugh Jackman walked his dog in New York City on Monday (December 2).
The "Wolverine" star wore a black coat and gray trousers as he strolled along with his French bulldog Dali on a leash, who wore a matching black coat.
Over the holiday weekend, the hunky Aussie spent time with his family in a much warmer locale, posting beach photos via Twitter.
On Friday, Hugh posted a picture of human and dog footprints in the sand with the caption, "Taking a walk with Dali."

You may remember those photos of Hugh Jackman looking like a goofy dork riding a scooter wearing Vibram FiveFingers. Well, he’s not the only one in his family who rides a scooter (though it does like he’s the only one who wears FiveFingers). All of them do.
Here he is with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and daughter, Ava Jackman, all riding scooters to Ava’s school. The only one not riding a scooter is their dog which is a travesty. Can’t they at least get him a little miniaturized scooter. All the bitches would love him.

Showing some love to his Chinese fans, Hugh Jackman showed up at a press conference for ?The Wolverine? in Beijing on Monday (October 14).
The ?Real Steel? hunk donned a dark suit and chatted with members of the media with the help of a translator ahead of the film?s premiere.
Over the weekend, Hugh hosted a 45th birthday party for himself at Hollywood?s Dolby Theatre, raising money for the Motion Picture & Television Fund with a live performance.
Jackman, who raised $1.85 million that night, told press, "This is probably the most narcissistic way to spend your birthday. I chose my favorite songs and told stories about my life."
"A lot of guys would say to their wife, 'Do you mind if I go play golf with my buddies?' That's how I am about the show. I love it. If there's a song I don't like, I cut it and bring in a new song. Everything is something I want to do. So to be here tonight, supporting this cause ? and it couldn't have been a more generous crowd if it tried ? in every way it was great."

| Hugh Jackman won't do Wolverine again: 'Great parts outgrow actors that play them' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

These are photos of Hugh Jackman over the weekend at the San Sebastian film festival where he received a lifetime achievement award. He was also on hand for the photocall and premiere of Prisoners. The movie has already done quite well stateside — it’s almost recouped its production budget after 10 days. The film is a hostage-centered crime drama, which sounds stressful to make as a movie. Hugh makes it quite clear that while the film wasn’t easy, he’s not about to jump back into mutant form just because that’s more fun. He claims he’s not up to doing Wolverine again at all. Except in the bedroom, perhaps? Here’s some excerpts from a couple of new Hugh interviews:
He’s a morning whippersnapper: “I?m a morning person. The beach reminds me of the beach in the Sydney. I woke up at 8:30 in the morning and I swam. Rode my bike. The moral is, if you want to be left alone in San Sebastian, wake up early.”
No more Wolverine for him: “Great parts always outgrow the actors that play them. If you forget that, it?s at your own peril. They are working on it [X-Men] now, and it would have to be very compelling for me to do it again. I?ve been doing it for 10 years.”
He might be talked into a cameo: “I have people ask me all the time, ‘Do you think Spider-Man can beat Wolverine?’ It’s part of the DNA. Marvel wanted me to do a cameo in the first Spider-Man, but I couldn’t find my suit. I could have turned up before it was such a big deal. But I don’t have that kind of power to make it happen.”
On being a sex symbol: “Here;s the thing. No one was looking at me when I was 16 thinking of me as the sexiest man alive. Why doesn?t it come when you need it, when you’re 20, 21? Not when you?ve been married for 15 years, and you wake up in the morning and say ?Hey baby,? and she says, ?Take out the garbage.’”
On Prisoners: “The job is to pretend as convincingly as you can. A lot of people think that means you have to dive into yourself, but I feel it’s diving into the people around you, the other actors and the director. And when I come home, I feel like I’ve played a game of rugby and have a bath and I’m fine. It is cathartic.”
[From Hollywood Reporter and The Guardian]
You know what this tells me? Unlike Johnny Depp (who’s running back with his scarfy tail between his legs to the Jack Sparrow role), Hugh truly has lasting power. He refuses to stagnate as an actor. Good for him. I don’t think Hugh was throwing shade any other actor with his comments. He’s just ready to move on, you know? I’d be tired of wearing sideburns after a decade too. Hopefully, he’ll never do another Baz Luhrman movie again either. That sh-t was insufferable.

Pitching in on promotions for his new flick "Prisoners" (now in theaters), Hugh Jackman attended the 61st San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain on Friday (September 27).
While rocking a casual ensemble, the "Wolverine" star stopped to enjoy a photo op with the crowd of fans waiting for him outside before heading into the Kursaal Palace.
Recently, the 44-year-old actor opened up to The Telegraph about his wife Deborra-Lee Furness and how much she and their children mean to him.
"Debs has strength and a lot of courage. She is very grounded," Mr. Jackman explained. "Our family matters more than anything - and I mean anything."
Hugh continued, "At the Oscars when i put my hand on my heart, that's a sign to Debs out there, a reminder that this is what matters and that all the rest - the awards and the money and the fame - may come and go."
"There'll be times when I'm flavor of the month, times when I'm not. But Debs and my kids are what matters to me," he added.
