I used to be an X Files fan back when it aired on TV. I’ve seen a lot of episodes, but I lost interest during those complicated multi-episode arcs. (The one that stands out as confusing was that extraterrestrial plot with the “black oil” eye thing. Maybe if Wikipedia was around back then I would have been able to make sense of it.) The two X-Files movies were lousy when compared to the series, although the first one was much better than the last, which came out too late and seemed to phone it in. Star David Duchovny recently said that he’s game for another X-Files movie, but the likelihood that will happen is probably nil. The last one, 2008’s I Want To Believe seriously underperformed at the box office. Duchovny said so many nice things about the show and his experiences on it that you can tell he’d love to do another one. He also kissed up to Woody Allen and seemed to put in a bid for a role in the Twilight movies:

The Hollywood actor says he?s keen to reprise his role as Agent Fox Mulder for a third flick in the franchise.
?I?m always game. It always rides on Fox. [Chris Carter] is game. I know [Gillian Anderson] is game. We all, at this point, love the show. We all, at this point, would love to work with one another again. We?re all good friends and miss one another, and miss working together.
?We worked together so hard for so long, so closely. We had some ups and downs personally, sure. But in the end, they are really like family to me. We?re all like this little X-Files family and I, for one, would love to continue. And I think there?s a lot left in the show. You know? And I think we can continue to make good movies.
?It?s just a matter of spending enough on a movie that can compete in the summertime. We made a movie and released it in the summer, but it wasn?t really a blockbuster movie. And it got kind of overshadowed by the bigger ones. So, we?re saying, make us big. We?ll fight with the big boys.?
David, 50, recently admitted he would ?go gay? for the stars of Twilight.
?If I were gay, you know. I think Woody Allen is one of a long list of men I might go gay for,? said the star, who has two children with wife Tea Leoni.
?Garry Shandling is someone I?ve publicly gone gay for, for jokes. Oh and anyone in the Twilight movies. I don?t know any of their names, but all of them. The wolves, the vampires? They?re all fantastic.?

Duchovny is doing pretty well with Californication on Showtime, but he’s clearly pitching for some movie roles. The guy already looks so much like a vampire, (although he’s since improved) but I think he should be shooting for True Blood, not Twilight. On True Blood he really could go gay for just about any of the supes.

Making the most of the summer sunshine, David Duchovny and Tea Leoni were spotted on the beach in Malibu yesterday afternoon (July 18).
Joined by their kids and some friends, the ?Californication? actor and the ?Spanglish? babe looked to be having a blast together.
David took to the sea in hopes of catching some waves on his surfboard while Tea laid out a beach towel and showed off a bit more of her backside than she planned.
Duchovny and Leoni?s marriage seems to be stronger than ever these days after almost splitting up in 2008 because of David?s sex addiction.

David Duchovny does absolutely nothing for me, but I know many of my fellow womenfolk find his weirdly off-putting countenance to be swoon worthy. David Duchovny, Tea Leoni and their two children, Madelaine, 10, and Kid, 7, were spotted having fun on the beach in Malibu on Saturday. Tea, 43, looks amazing and fit and David, 48, is much buffer and more filled out than the super skinny look he sported late last year. Tea and David announced in October that they were separated for several months, after David went to rehab for a sex addiction. David and Tea have been married for 12 years. David denied cheating on his wife with his female tennis instructor, as was rumored at the time. There were stories that his issue was with an online sex addiction, not that he was unfaithful - depending on how you define it.
Since they went through that rough patch last year, David and Tea have been seen out together quite a few times and seem to have worked things out. They went on a romantic family vacation to the Caribbean earlier this year, and there are even rumors that they’re hoping for another child. Judging from Leoni’s super flat stomach, they probably don’t have a biological child on the way. People Magazine has a kind of sweet story to accompany these photos that “they’re still in love”:
David Duchovny and Ta Leoni looked like the picture perfect family on June 14 as they frolicked on the Malibu beach with their two kids, smiling and playing in the water.
The couple has shown a united front ? and no discord ? since they announced their separation last fall after Duchovny voluntarily entered rehab for sex addiction. Sources tell PEOPLE the couple remains close for the sake of their children Madeline, 10, and Kyd, 7.
“Their relationship has really improved,” says a pal of Duchnovny, who stars in the Showtime series Californication. “They’re still in love. They very much care for each other and whatever happens they are working it out for the kids.”
Duchovny’s willingness to enter rehab was always in the spirit of saving his marriage, a source tells PEOPLE. “He’s doing his best to move forward with his life and career,” the source says.
The couple, married in 1997, have been spotted together more frequently in the past few months. From courtside seats with the kids at New York Knicks basketball games to family vacations, all signs point to making their relationship work.
“Their first priority through everything was staying close for their kids and making life as great as it can be for them,” says a source of the couple. “They’ll always be a family.”

This is one of those happy-ending stories that I like to hear. It’s likely that these photos were planned and that a PR person called People Magazine, but the pictures do seem to represent reality and we’ve seen them out together quite a few times in the past few months. David Duchovny and Tea Leoni’s marriage is back on, and the couple has sealed their love with matching wedding ring tattoos.The pair announced the end of its 11-year marriage back in October, after Duchovny underwent a spell in rehab to treat sex addiction.But the actors reportedly have since worked out their differences and sealed their reunion with a March vacation on the Caribbean island of Mustique, and matching tattoos on their ring fingers.Duchovny explains to Star magazine, “I hate wearing the metal because I bang it everywhere and hurt myself. We made a compromise and I said, ‘If I get a tattoo, can I take the ring off?’ She liked it and went out and got one for herself.”But Duchovny is refusing to explain what the tattoo means: “It’s a phrase we say to each other but I don’t actually tell anybody. It’s AYSF. It stands for something.”

One of Hollywood’s coolest couples has been having a rough time, but if new reports are to be believed, they could be on the mend. “X-Files” star David Duchovny and his wife Tea Leoni, who seemed rock-solid after more than 10 years together, were separated last year after reports that David had checked into rehab for sex addiction. There were also rumors that Tea was seeking comfort in the arms of her co-star, Billy Bob Thornton. It was a sad situation, especially for the couple’s two children. But recently, David and Tea have been spotted out together, holding hands and seeming very close again. And now, The National Enquirer is reporting that not only have the couple reunited, but they’re planning to have another baby.
“Can you say bundle of joy for David Duchovny and Tea Leoni?” say pals.
The separated couple, who’ve been married for more than a decade, recently reconciled during a spring break getaway to the Caribbean island of Mustique with their two children.
David and Tea have been working on fixing their broken relationship for some time, a source revealed. But with David’s history of sex addiction, there were trust issues they had to resolve.
“Little by little they’ve managed to work through them,” continued the source. “And the fact they still see each other often in New York City helped.”
David and Tea have maintained separate apartments close to each other in Manhattan, where they split time with their kids, Madelaine, who turns 10 this month, and Kyd, 6.
“There were still a lot of feelings between Tea and David,” said the source. “They never actually filed for formal separation - I don’t think they ever wanted the marriage to end.
“It just took a romantic holiday with their kids to finally bring them to their senses.”
David knows that Tea has always wanted another child. And now that she’s 43, David, 48, knows there’s no time to waste.
“To win her back, he played his trump card,” said the source. “He promised if she were not pregnant in a year they would look into adoption.”
Tea took David back “on probation” last fall, says the source, but wasn’t convinced they’d be able to get past their problems.
“Tea wanted proof that David’s number one priority is family,” added the source. “And with him committing to expanding the brood, Tea feels like she can trust him again.”

I have always liked this couple - they seem so cool and sexy. I was so bummed when I heard they were breaking up. But I have seen the recent photos of them hanging out, and they really do look like they’re still in love. I don’t know about the baby thing, but I sure hope they can make it work. Having a baby to save a relationship is never a good idea. Make sure the marriage is solid again first!
