It feels like Demi Moore barely works these days, but is that the reality? According to IMDB, Demi has three films in the can, waiting to be released this year or next. But yeah, she hasn?t worked much in the past five years or so. She only did one movie between 2013-2015. And like so many actresses of a certain age, Demi has shown some interest in doing TV work. I personally think Demi could potentially do well on some kind of prestige hour-long drama/ensemble. And that?s what she was thinking too ? emphasis on ?prestige.? As in, no network TV.
Demi Moore is too good for ABC. The actress was set to star in the upcoming drama ?Ten Days in the Valley,? but pulled out once the network got on board, Variety reported. A source told Page Six that Moore ?dropped out when ABC picked it up because .?.?. it was originally supposed to be a cable show. She only wanted to do cable or streaming. It?s more ?prominent? to go to cable or streaming.?
The show would have been Moore?s first full-time TV gig since the 1980s. Kyra Sedgwick will take over.

That story was from a week ago, and of course some people were side-eyeing it. While network TV isn?t the crme de la crme these days, a lot of talented people work on networks, from Kerry Washington to Marcia Gay Harden to Viola Davis. Still, it?s no HBO! So, obviously, Page Six followed up with some unnamed sources claiming that everyone was laughing at Demi for being so haughty about appearing on network TV.
TV industry insiders were snickering after reports that Demi Moore dropped out of ABC?s upcoming series ?Ten Days in the Valley? because the star feels it?s ?more prominent? to do cable or streaming rather than network TV. (The series was originally for cable before it landed at ABC, and Kyra Sedgwick was brought on to replace Moore). But a source told us that ABC wasn?t exactly knocking down Moore?s door to do the project either, and ABC insiders are over the moon to land Sedgwick as her replacement.
?The fact is that no one cares about Demi, and Kyra is a bigger star, so [ABC] jumped at the opportunity to work with her,? the source scoffed. ?I mean, who?s really dying for ?streaming???

Well, there are some good shows on Hulu and Netflix, so I don?t know why these sources are acting like NO ONE cares about streaming. Still, the fundamental point is fine: ABC was probably beyond thrilled that they got Kyra. And Demi needs to change her approach to working on TV, for real. Incidentally, how is that Kyra landed another TV show? I thought the whole reason she quit The Closer was because she was done with TV? I?m just mad because I really, really miss The Closer. You guys, that was one of my favorite shows of all time.

For some reason Demi Moore was the last presenter of the night on Sunday, she presented Best Ensemble in a Drama which went to Spotlight. When she came out on stage I was struck by her hair, she was wearing one of those topknots which is inexplicably popular now along with some loose strands hanging down, and by how gothic her gown was. She was in a full length black gown with stripes and ruffles that looked very 90s. It turns out the dress wasn’t that old, it was from 2002 (the Spring 2003 collection), just 13 years ago, but there was definitely something dated about it. Designer Zac Posen noticed Demi in one of his older gowns and posted about it. Apparently Demi just dug the dress out of her closet and People writes that she didn’t consult him before wearing it, which you can pretty much surmise based on what he wrote.
What a wonderful surprise for me to see my pal #DemiMoore wearing her own vintage #ZacPosen gown from my second collection many moons ago while presenting at the #SagAwards tonight!!!

This is one of the most egregious examples I’ve heard of celebrity excess when it comes to pets, and is probably a close second to the mini mansions Paris Hilton had built for her dogs. (They were complete with air conditioning, chandeliers and little staircases.) According to US Magazine, Demi Moore pays over $700 a visit for her non-sick chihuahua to get acupuncture at home – twice a week. Holy crap! If she does that every week that’s around $67,000 a year. In a visit to David Letterman years ago, Demi said that she had leeches applied to her body in some kind of bizarre “detox” treatment, so I would believe that she pays this exorbitant amount of money for something of questionable effectiveness for a pet. Her heart is probably in the right place, but it sounds like a massive ripoff to me.
On paws and needles! A source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that a veterinarian makes biweekly house calls to Demi Moore?s L.A. mansion to give her Chihuahua, Vida Blue, acupuncture. The going rate? Up to $715 per session.
?There?s nothing wrong with her dog,? says the source. The G.I. Jane actress, 53, ?is just really into holistic food and medicine for her animals, the way she is for herself.”
The more than 2,000-year-old Chinese healing art is known to have a therapeutic effect on a wide range of animal ailments.
?It can calm down an anxious dog,? veterinarian Patrick Mahaney, who has treated Lisa Vanderpump?s beloved Pomeranian, Giggy, tells Us. ?It also stimulates appetite and treats muscle spasms.?
The mom of Rumer, 27, Scout, 24, and Tallulah, 21, with ex-husband Bruce Willis, has been filming indie movie Blind in New York City with Alec Baldwin.
The actor, 57, plays a novelist blinded in a car crash that killed his wife. He rediscovers his love of writing when he falls for a woman played by Moore. The actress and Baldwin starred together in the 1996 thriller The Juror.

I suspect Demi’s dog is old because I found a photo of her with the dog in 2006, and maybe Demi wants to make sure her girl is comfortable in her old age. I get preparing organic food for your pet and wanting them to have the best of everything, but that’s outrageous. I’ve had acupuncture a few times, when I was desperate and wasn’t as cynical as I am now, and it never cost me more than $100. I don’t know if it worked exactly, but it did make me feel relaxed. Years ago I saw a PBS special on nontraditional medicine which claimed that acupuncture works in animals by increasing immune response, not by targeting any specific problem. I tried to verify that and only found that it’s hard to prove and that there are just as many studies showing that acupuncture doesn’t work in animals. Plus, there’s lots of quackery in the field, unsurprisingly. When there are people willing to pay over $700 a pop to have someone give acupuncture to their pet, you would expect that.

These are photos from last night’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event. It’s a fundraiser for up and coming designers. Maybe I’m just in a great mood today but for some reason even the terrible fashion looks ok to me. There were a lot of really incredible dresses and everyone looked like they were having a great time. You just get this fun vibe from the pictures, like it was relaxed and a good party.
First off we have Demi Moore, 52 (50 freaking two) in Zac Posen. Red Carpet Fashion Awards points out that this is a meh dress for Posen in that it’s not as structured as we usually see from him. Plus it’s not a standout dress. To me this dress is just a compliment to Demi Moore’s styling. Whatever she had going on with her face before has settled, she looks really content and lovely, and she’s practically glowing. This lady looks sober and just beautiful. Give me whatever she’s having. I wouldn’t mind Zac Posen as my date, either. You can tell in this photo below he’s checking how the dress fits or is admiring some detail.
Next we have model (and aspiring tech entrepreneur) Karlie Kloss in Proenza Schouler Resort 2016. The minty green color is a bit odd but I love the gathered waist with the fuzzy tie and the fact that the hem is a mess. There are just enough funky details about this dress to make it cool. Plus her derp face gives me life.
Victoria’s Secret model Chanel Iman in Fausto Puglisi. I’m including her because this look is incredible. RCFA linked to the look on runway and that beaded bandeau is part of the original outfit. Amazing.
Amanda Seyfried is probably wearing Givenchy because she was seen posing with Riccardo Tisci. This dress is fug. It’s like Tisci tried to copy Calvin Klein’s slip dresses but added a bunch of ruffles and lace. It’s too fussy and looks like lingerie. With cleaner details like CK this dress might be ok.
Lake Bell was in formfitting white Calvin Klein with subtle button detail on the side and she looked hot. I want those earrings.
Zendaya was in a full length, full sleeved fall print Thakoon gown paired with yellow kitten heels with fur on them. I can’t decide if this is awesome or horrid and I think that’s the point.
Lorde on the other hand was a clear cut case. She looked pretty bad in a Givenchy gown that featured a lace and mesh neckline, ruffles and a tiered dress over satin pants. This is like some 70s pajamas hell. What is wrong with Givenchy?
As a palette cleanser I’m including Elsa Hosk – she’s a Victoria’s Secret Angel and Swedish model. I love this dress so much. It’s got a peplum but I still like it. I don’t have a designer ID, it’s vaguely Burberry or Westwood but I have no idea who designed it. Kaiser pointed out that it’s very 90s throwback, which must be why it appeals to me. I’m a 90s girl.

Given her vast array of high-end apparel, Demi Moore relies on storage units to keep her clothing safe and sound.
However, the ?Ghost? actress discovered this week that about $200,000 worth of couture pieces were stolen from one of her garages in Los Angeles.
At this point, Ms. Moore is putting together a comprehensive list of everything that?s missing, and she?s working with the police to try and catch the thieves. Unfortunately, Demi?s assistants hadn?t checked her storage for about six months, so it may be hard to pinpoint the exact date and time that Moore?s goodies went missing.

These are photos of Demi Moore at the annual PSLA Autumn Party, which raises funds for Childrens Institute, Inc. She looks very clear-eyed and sober, which is nice to see. I’m assuming that Demi is in Donna Karan, as the event was co-sponsored by Karan and she posed with the designer on the red carpet. Plus Karan has many dresses with this same cut in her 2014 line. I’m not fond of the dress, which I find somewhat shapeless, but the print is interesting and it’s nice that Demi isn’t poured into something.
There are plenty of stories about Demi in the wake of the news that her ex, Ashton Kutcher, just welcomed a baby with his new wife. Demi wants us to think she’s over it, and these photos of her looking carefree and happy will go a long way towards that. Radar had a story a couple of weeks ago that Demi had allegedly accepted the fact that Ashton and Mila were about to have a new baby and had offered them support. A source said that Demi “ultimately has great love for Ashton and has accepted the fact that he is in love Mila and that they are starting a family.” Demi allegedly “has offered to help in any way that she can with the baby and with Mila.” If that’s true I doubt that Mila will ever take her up on it, but it’s a nice gesture.
Meanwhile there’s a newer story about Demi, in the National Enquirer [via Radar]. They claim that Demi is trying to steer her daughters away from plastic surgery despite the fact that several of them have already had work done, and despite the fact that Demi regularly goes in for work and maintenance. Demi reportedly “got a few of her daughter?s friends together and lectured them about the pitfalls of cosmetic surgery.” I doubt this happened, but if it did Demi is the last person to be telling anyone not to get plastic surgery. It’s a classic “do as I say” move. I have to say that she looks pretty natural here, though.
Also, Demi seems to be on good terms with at least one of her daughters. She was seen out with Tallulah, 20, on Saturday. Tallulah just got out of six weeks in rehab in mid September.

In honor of the arts, Demi Moore headed over to the De Re Gallery Grand Opening in West Hollywood, CA on Thursday (May 15).
Posing on the red carpet, the 51-year-old actress rocked a white jumpsuit and looked radiant as she mingled with the guests including photographer Brian Bowen Smith.
Meanwhile, Demi reportedly left around 9 pm with her young boyfriend Sean Friday, 27.
According to sources, the couple kept their PDA to a minimum as they enjoyed the artwork and chatted with the guests. Moore and Friday started dating late last year.

Making the most of the New Year, Demi Moore gallivanted around the beach in Tulum, Mexico on Wednesday (January 1).
The ?Ghost? actress seemed very taken by her new much-younger, tattooed mystery male boyfriend as they got handsy in the ocean while beachgoers looked on.
Demi is in Mexico for a New Year?s holiday with her daughter Rumer Willis and boyfriend Jayson Blair, who also looked very loved-up.
And despite her 51 years of age, Ms. Moore still looks as fit and fine as she did back in the 1980s!

There?s nothing like a pampering session to help a girl take her mind off of her troubles, and Demi Moore treated herself to a trip to Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood on Saturday (December 14).
The ?Ghost? actress looked a bit forlorn as she exited the establishment, sporting a long black coat with black sunglasses while scurrying to her car.
Ms. Moore recently finalized her divorce to Ashton Kutcher, and rumor has it she scored around $250,000 by selling her five-carat diamond engagement ring.
An insider told press, ?Ashton broke her heart. Anything that reminds her of him makes her sad, and she wants to be happy. Demi says she's now at peace with the divorce but she felt she needed to clear her head of any negative energy. Demi now insists she is fully cleansed of Ashton and is even ready to welcome Mila into her life.?

She loves a good workout, and Demi Moore looked pretty tuckered out as she left her yoga class in Los Angeles last night (September 23).
The 50-year-old ?Ghost? actress skipped the makeup and donned a furry white jacket teamed with black capri leggings and motorcycle boots as she strolled out of the gym.
Meanwhile, it sounds like Demi may end up getting her share of the $25 million in spousal support she?s been demanding from soon-to-be-ex-husband Ashton Kutcher. And she?ll owe it all to new girlfriend Mila Kunis.
An insider told press, ?Mila told Ashton to just give Demi the money, it isn't about winning. She's sick of this hanging over their heads and them not being able to move on with their future together.?
