| Sienna Miller in Miu Miu at the Globes: too revealing or not bad? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Sienna Miller celebrated her grand return to Hollywood by wearing a questionable dress to last night’s Golden Globes. Is this a bit much? Sienna donned MiuMiu with a huge order of double-sided tape. The v-neck plunged all the way to her waist, and sheer side panels barely preserved her modesty. Perhaps I’m being old fashioned. The flowery fabric and embellishments around the v-neck aimed for bohemian glamour, but I don’t know, you guys. This doesn’t feel like a dress someone wears when they’re going for the serious actress vibe.
With that said, Sienna does look gorgeous. Her face looks different than usual, but I think she’s lost a little weight lately, which would explain it. If the dress reached all the way to the floor, this gown may have seemed glamorous instead of like a teenager playing dress up in Jimmy Choos. Those Tiffany jewels were luscious.
Katie Holmes presented last night. Girlfriend flubbed Matt Bomer’s name (she called him “Matt Bomber”). She wore Marchesa, of course. This isn’t a terrible dress by Marchesa standards, and Katie was playing it pretty safe — even though eggplant is rarely a good color for the red carpet. The dress was simple and strapless with a bit of a train. I think she should have worn her hair loose and wavy, but her smoky makeup looked good.
Matthew McConaughey (nominated for True Detective) showed off his new scruff, which is for a Civil War-era role. Time is a flat circle, etc. Matty dressed it up in an aubergine three-piece tux by Dolce & Gabbana. Camila Alves is so beautiful, but I feel like she takes great care to never upstage Matthew on the red carpet. She wore a Monique Lhullier strapless column gown in pale pink. This was a boring dress, and the big hair didn’t help much.
Kristen Wiig went for the curtains look in a white Delphine Manivet number. The bottom half of this dress held some promise, but the peasant-y top was simply confusing. She does have lovely shoulders, no? This was not the correct dress to show them off. Overall, this dress was sloppy, but I’m digging funky hair and makeup. And she’s always funnier than her co-presenter, Bill Hader.

| Sienna Miller will replace Emma Stone as Sally in Cabaret: good choice? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Sienna Miller’s career resurgence continues. She’s talked a lot about how directors take her more seriously since she dumped her tabloid persona. Sienna has several movies in the can, and now she’ll be hitting Broadway. For real! The Roundabout Theater Co. announced Sienna as Emma Stone’s replacement in Cabaret. Sienna’s “messy” energy feels perfect for Sally Bowles. A few years ago (on a catty day), I may have said she was Sally Bowles. Here are the details:
The last Sally Bowles has been found.
Sienna Miller will star alongside Alan Cumming?s Emcee for the final six weeks of Roundabout Theatre Company?s hit revival of Cabaret on Broadway, replacing current headliner Emma Stone (who herself replaced the revival?s original star Michelle Williams).
Miller takes over the role of Sally Bowles on Feb. 17. (Stone?s last day is Feb. 15.) She?ll appear in the Studio 54 production through the show?s final performance on March 29.
It?s a return to the Roundabout for Miller, who made her Broadway debut in the company?s production of After Miss Julie in 2009. The actress is also on screen currently in both American Sniper and Foxcatcher.
[From EW.com]
This is obviously a good career move for Sienna. She’ll be the last Sally for this Cabaret run and be able to leave a lasting impression. I’ve never heard Sienna sing (she did reportedly sing in an audition), but Sally Bowles isn’t supposed to be a great singer. I wonder if Tom Sturridge will come to NYC for these six weeks. Their relationship seems very drama free, which is unusual for Sienna. Maybe she really has changed. I suspect she’s simply cleaned up her act in public.
Here’s a photo of Sienna with her, Marlowe, in New York City this week. Marlowe’s working on her own little Sturridge bun. Such a cutie.

Sienna Miller has a new interview with the Guardian Observer to promote American Sniper. The film is still in limited release but nabbed a decent per-theater average, so it’ll probably open up wide soon. The movie should attract a strong military crowd, and possibly another Oscar nom for BCoop. For Sienna, this film marks the begininng of a more serious film career. She had a rough few years, thanks to her “tabloidy persona.” Sienna says people take her more seriously now because she’s a mother. Hmm:
On “making a good movie”: “You said that with real surprise,? she says, then bursts out laughing. “You?ve made a good movie,? she says, repeating my line as it sounded to her, “FOR ONCE.” Chuckling, Miller adds: “Well … actually …”
Her upcoming big career year: “All the directors speak to each other. And once you crack that upper echelon of incredible directors, you?ve got people rooting for you. People who people listen to. I?ve never had that before.”
Her roaring 20s & the fallout: “Quite chaotic. People don?t want to see films with people they don?t approve of in them.”
Why things are looking up: “And I think having a baby really changed everything, if I?m honest. I think that?s where it began. The stakes are higher. You have someone that you want to be proud of you eventually. You?re aware of your own mortality. For me, as soon as I had a baby I had a vision of my life — and what was left of it.”
On the bad gossip: “I?m sure that factors. People who read the negative things [about me], the people who need persuading, are probably ignorant enough to assume, ‘Well she?s got a kid so she?s serious now.? Which, of course, isn?t the case. I?m still whoever I was. Maybe more mature, but the same. So amongst that ignorant, ridiculous area of my industry, I?m sure opinions of me have changed because I?m a mother now.”
Why she sued the tabloids: “Because at a certain point I started to believe in their perception of me. I kind of lost myself in it. I felt like I didn?t have an identity any more. The perception had become so big, and such a huge thing … I couldn?t really remember who I actually was.”
[From The Guardian Observer]
Ehh. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for Sienna. She seems to have her life on track, and she’s got a slew of high-profile movies (via her IMDb) coming out this year. But I think her newly employed status has less to do with a baby and more to do with her settling down in general. She was never drunkenly falling out of clubs (that I recall), but she did some dumb things. Stuff like fooling around with married men and really flaunting it. Remember these NSFW photos with Balthazar Getty? There was also the Burger King debacle. Sienna acted like a mess, and she cleaned herself up. Maybe I’m wrong though, and becoming a mother was the solution to her career woes. Thoughts?

| Sienna Miller in see-thru Balenciaga for 'American Sniper?: lovely or tacky' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

These are photos from last night’s New York premiere of American Sniper. Bradley Cooper is wearing a sweet Tom Ford suit but looks exhausted. He’s probably doing a standard 8-shows per week for The Elephant Man. Dude got snubbed for a Globe nomination, so he may yet escape an Oscar campaign this year. But he does want an Oscar, badly. He just wants us to think he doesn’t care. Bradley’s girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, didn’t walk the red carpet. She’s in town, wearing various slouchy street ensembles over the past few days. She attended the afterparty for the premiere in an odd floral dress.
Sienna wore a Balenciaga dress with a very sheer look underneath the cross-bodice. She’s flashing her abs and her legs with only granny panties to preserve her modesty. I think this would be too flashy for an awards show, but somehow it works at a premiere. The dress is very see-thru, but the diamond appliques hide enough flesh and make it look fancy. Right? (Kaiser’s correct though — Sienna’s style mojo ain’t what it used to be.)
Sienna’s wearing Harry Winston diamonds and Balenciaga sandals. I do like Sienna’s new messy blonde crop. Elsa Pataky and Jennifer Lawrence favor the same style right now. I’m also including pics of Sienna heading to a press luncheon yesterday. She wore a blue A.L.C. flared dress. Cute.
Stacey Dash showed up too. She’s not in the movie. She only wanted to wear a too-tight bandage dress, which she coordinated with a patriotic manicure.

Sienna Miller covers the January issue of Vogue to promote her role as BCoop’s military wife in American Sniper. She was photographed by Mario Testino, and I think the coat is Burberry. I’m not feeling the cover, but Sienna’s career has hit a new stride. She played Mark Ruffalo’s wife this year in Foxcatcher. Sienna just wrapped Unfinished Business with Vince Vaughn (ugh), and she’s appearing with Tom Hiddleston in High Rise. Plus there’s Black Mass with Johnny Depp and Cumby. Oh, and she’ll appear in Ben Affleck’s next directorial effort, Life by Night (based upon a Dennis Lehane novel).
Everything’s coming up Sienna these days. That’s surprising, considering where her career was five years ago. Sienna barely took any time off when she had a daughter (Marlowe) in 2012 with Tom Sturridge, but she had a big gap (via her IMDb page) in the three years prior. That was the period of time when Sienna struggled to recover from the Balthazar Getty debacle and the resulting (alleged) “vendetta.” Vogue has yet to release any of Sienna’s interview, but the cover alludes to her “second act.” She talks about her comeback in a new interview with the LA Times:
Praise from Clint Eastwood on Sniper: “Yeah, he’s quick. I definitely had heard that before I started shooting, so I was, like, ‘I better bring it on the first take.’ But if you want another one, he’ll give you another one. I understand this way of working now — there is something about the first time you say a line that can never really be repeated. Normally, I’m anxious and over-complicated and my process is quite thorough. I would keep going because I very rarely feel satisfied. But somehow with him, he’s so relaxed that you just kind of trust it. On our first day, after we’d shot an emotional scene, I went up to him, ‘I was just thinking, maybe –’ and he was, like, ‘Have a great weekend.’ And as he was walking away he said, ‘You cast the right people,’ and that was the end of the day and I was, like, ‘Whoa.’ So that was kind of a great day — liberating. But then I had a bit of a meltdown.”
On her second act as an actress: “I think it’s narrow-minded. I struggled in Hollywood because people had really strong perceptions of who I was and it was hard to see me as anything other than this persona. I just think I was well known for the wrong things, maybe. My personal life. It got very tabloidly. My phone got hacked and I was in newspapers all the time in London, which is the most vicious city in the world for that kind of attention. Or I was known for being fashionable.”
How she fought that perception: “I sued everyone in England, basically. [Laughs] I have an injunction against paparazzi, so that’s now illegal. I obviously went to court with News of the World and the phone hacking and all of that. I took active steps and worked very hard to have a private life, which I have now had and enjoyed for six years. … So as a result of not having all those photos and not being on social media, I felt I’ve had the space to do my work.”
She tried social media: “I did have Instagram for a week, and it sort of fueled the worst part of my soul. I’d wake up every morning and have more followers and people were, like, ‘Welcome! We love you!’ And I was like, ‘Hee-hee, wow! This is actually fulfilling me!’ But I realized it was filling that part of you that will not ever be filled.”
[From LA Times]
Sienna is correct about her “tabloidy” personal life. That’s what happens when you date Jude Law, fool around with a married Balthazar Getty, and dump Rhys Ifans. Especially the second one. Now that’s she’s “sued everyone in England,” Sienna appears in the tabloids less, but it still happens sometimes. I’m surprised she’s still with Tom Sturridge. Maybe she really has settled down? I’m also interested to see whether Sienna’s new crop of movies will take off and establish her as a serious actress. Directors seem to have faith in her.
Update: Vogue released their interview with Sienna – go here to read. Most of the quotes are pretty similar to the LAT interview.

| Sienna Miller in a Galvan gown in London: did she rediscover her style mojo? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

?And just like that, I remembered how much I?ve missed seeing Sienna Miller on the red carpet. It?s not that she?s been absent from events for a while or anything, but she hasn?t had many fashion ?moments? in the past, say, three or four years. Sienna used to be an It Girl, a Style Icon, one of the most-watched girls on any red carpet. She brought boho-chic and then she brought glam. And then her career faltered and her thing with Balthazar Getty didn?t go over too well. And Sienna lost her mojo. She took some time off, got together with Tom Sturridge, had a baby and slowly, she?s been finding her mojo again.
These are photos of Sienna on last night?s BFI London Film Festival carpet for Foxcatcher. Again, this film is going to be a major awards contender. And now I?m hopeful that Sienna will be doing even more red carpets to promote it because she dazzled last night. Her gown is Galvan Fall 2014. It feels like an ode to Sienna?s boho past, plus a dash of those slinky slip-dresses that were popular in the ?90s, but with a modern flare. The stripes, the metallic, the hair, the barely ?done? face? Sienna is back, ladies. Mojo retrieved!
Regarding her hair? remember those photos of her terrible bob a few months ago? It wasn?t a wig. Her hairstylist confirmed that Sienna actually got a terrible bob for a new movie. And now she?s growing it out. A lot of people thought her original big haircut ? in 2005, when she played Edie Sedgwick ? was the beginning of the end for her style mojo. Just FYI.
Sienna hasn?t been doing much press for Foxcatcher and American Sniper? yet. But she did talk to some outlets last night ? go here to read some of her comments about work and her daughter.

Taking advantage of the local activities, Sienna Miller stepped out with her handsome beau Tom Sturridge on Monday evening (September 15).

There?s no need for a craft services table for the cast and crew of ?Adam Jones,? as Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller got to shoot their scenes at a Burger King in London on Tuesday (July 29).
The ?American Hustle? hunk looked handsome as he chatted with the ?Factory Girl? costar outside the Leicester Square location of the fast food chain.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cooper actually trained with the Burger King workers on Sunday, stunning customers as they realized who was making it ?your way, right away.?
An insider told press, "Bradley was training alongside genuine Burger King staff. The aim was to learn the 'art of the flip' which he nailed fairly quickly. There was no real fanfare from him. You?d never know he was a big star by the way he spoke to people."

| Sienna Miller got hammered at the Oscar parties, ate all of the cucumber garnish | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?ve read most of the tabloids this week, and the Oscars gossip has been pretty dull. Miranda Kerr bitched about the porto-potty situation and Chelsea Handler cut in front of a line. Taylor Swift cuddled up to Jamie King at the VF party and Khloe Kardashian was in a terrible mood at the Elton John party. Jennifer Lawrence was carrying a Slim Jim and a protein bar in her clutch because of course she was. And that?s about it. Except that on Monday, when I was covering the party photos, I mentioned that the Sienna Miller photos were making me laugh because Sienna had that old-school look in her eye ? part boredom, part liquor, part famewhore. It just seemed like she regretted partying with her boyfriend Tom Sturridge and she wished she could be a single girl, mixing it up with all the men. Star Magazine says she was pretty hammered all weekend too:
Sienna Miller did not take it slow on Oscars weekend. First, Star spotted a drunken Sienna devouring a stack of cucumber slices (they were supposed to be the garnish!) at the bar of the Weinstein party. The next night, Sienna clumsily cozied up to boyfriend Tom Sturridge at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash.
[From Star Magazine, print edition]
Bless her. Sienna always saves the party from being boring. You can always count on Sienna to, at the very least, get sh-tfaced and eat all of the cucumber garnish. Slow-clap.
Here are some photos of Sienna yesterday in Brentwood, going to the Country Mart on Thursday. You know who else goes there? Jennifer Garner. I?ve often thought that Sienna was trying to do the whole Organic Mother thing when she had baby Marlowe, but I don?t believe it stuck. The Old Sienna keeps coming back to get drunk at Oscar parties and gobble all the cucumbers. It?s who you are, Sienna! Embrace it!

| Sienna Miller called Daniel Craig to say 'I love you' while she was out with Jude Law | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Well, isn?t this an interesting coincidence. Just a few days after Jude Law testified in open court that in 2005, his then-girlfriend Sienna Miller banged Daniel Craig (who was engaged to Satsuki Mitchell), Sienna?s new spread in Esquire UK gets released. I?m sure it?s just a coincidence. Right? Right. Coincidences happen. Anyway, this Esquire UK pictorial is pretty sexy. It?s also refreshingly simple, especially after an over-saturation of Terry Richardson photography. It?s nice to see some somewhat tasteful/sexy black-and-white pics where the most scandalous thing is a hint of butt cheek. Beyonce showed more during her Grammy performance, you know? You can read Sienna?s Esquire interview here (I only made it to page 2, it?s tedious) and here are some highlights:
Getting famous at 21: ?I was really naive, I think. I was a young 21. Not green as grass ? I was by no means an innocent ? but I had faith in the goodness of everyone. I was very open. And that led me into all sorts of situations that backfired.?
Working in America when times got tough: ?It had become difficult for me to get the work I wanted, if I?m really honest. It was a weird situation to be in because there was a lot of goodwill for me in Hollywood. I think I?d been lucky in that I?d always been naughty in that town and people had always liked me for it. (But) I sabotaged things. I burnt a lot of bridges. I never read a review or paid any mind to what anyone said. And that translated to how I behaved outside work. On set, I was first to arrive, last to leave, best friends with the crew, totally professional, no d***ing around. But when I wasn?t at work, I wasn?t behaving the way you should. I?m very lucky to have a second chance in that town.?
Taking a three-year ?self-imposed? hiatus: ?I felt like I had no control over any aspect of my life, professionally or personally. So I deliberately disappeared. I was sick of myself, to be honest, or sick of that perception of me. It all felt so f***ing dirty.?
The hacking trial: ?It?s so personal, it?s such a raw nerve, it had such a massive effect on me, on my life and career, that I don?t know what would come out of it except I will kind of vent, in a fury. Believe me, there is a torrent of abuse I would love to hurl at half of their faces. But there are more eloquent people. I don?t trust myself. I?m too volatile.?
Being mom to Marlowe: ?I feel really settled. I have a wonderful life. I?m up every morning with a little baby. That gives you incredible perspective. It?s such a gift. And it?s grounding in a way you can?t describe. And going back to work is really exciting and fun.?
Tom Sturridge: ?He?s the antithesis of me, really. And that?s a first for me, to be in a relationship with someone who?s in a lot of respects very different. He?s the perfect balance to my lunacy, which makes him sound really boring but he?s not, at all. It?s good, it works.?
[From The Daily Mail]
Is anyone else kind of surprised that Sienna and Tom are still making it work? I am. Sienna is such a drama queen and it doesn?t seem like Tom provides her with nearly enough drama. But maybe she?s grown up a little. I hope so. But I kind of hope she?s still got a few years of scandalous behavior left, because when Sienna does scandal, she?s really good at it. Just ask Rosetta Getty, who ? let?s be real ? is still pissed at her. And while I think Sienna DID have some Hollywood goodwill, her affair with Balthazar Getty did more career damage than anything else. Rosetta is a power player among the power-wife/mom Hollywood set. Rosetta bad-mouthed Sienna all over town.
? As for the Jude Law thing, and the hacking trial, there?s even more to the story. On Tuesday, a former NOTW reporter named Dan Evans testified that he hacked into Daniel Craig?s phone messages and found one from Sienna. Sienna left this message for Daniel: ?Hi, it’s me. I can’t speak, I’m at the Groucho with Jude. I love you.” Gurl, YOU ARE GANGSTA. I mean, it?s one thing to cheat on Jude Law (back when he was still so pretty), but it?s another to cheat on Jude WITH DANIEL CRAIG. And then call Daniel with ?I love you? messages while you?re out with Jude. You crazy, girl. I love you. You?ve got brass balls.
