Stepping out for some promotional duties, Cameron Diaz braved the cold to sign copies of her new book on Monday evening (January 6) in New York City.
Clad in a grey sweater and a black leather jacket, the "Bad Teacher" actress obliged fans who waited in line at Barnes & Noble to get her signature on their copies of "The Body Book."
Earlier in the day, the 41-year-old blonde made an appearance on "Good Morning America" to talk about her book.
She explained, "It?s a book that gives you information about your body and the science of your body, and how it works around nutrition and fitness, the lack of and the actual well-being of your body.?
?I just feel like we -- why don't we have this information? This is information about our body. Our body is -- we're with it from beginning to end, all day long. From birth to the end of our journey. And we know nothing about it. We don't learn about it in school at all. We learn now read and write and to do arithmetic to get a job and buy food. But what is food?? she continued.

Tending to some media duties, Cameron Diaz stopped by ?Good Morning America? in New York City on Monday (January 6).
During her interview, the 41-year-old actress revealed details about her new book, "The Body Book."
?I spoke to a lot of experts to compile information and the book is not an instructional book, it?s an informative book,? Miss Diaz explained. ?It?s a book that gives you information about your body and the science of your body, and how it works around nutrition and fitness, the lack of and the actual well-being of your body.?
She continued, ?I just feel like we -- why don't we have this information? This is information about our body. Our body is -- we're with it from beginning to end, all day long. From birth to the end of our journey. And we know nothing about it. We don't learn about it in school at all. We learn now read and write and to do arithmetic to get a job and buy food. But what is food??
Also commenting on the cover of the book, which features not only the "Charlie's Angels" body but also other women in the inside cover, Cameron stated, "The women were so wonderful. I want people to know that this book is for them.?

I remember when Cameron Diaz first hit the Hollywood scene. When she appeared in The Mask, I thought she was breathtakingly beautiful. Of course she’s since had a little work done like most actresses. These photos also aren’t the most flattering ones since they were taken during her stint as Miss Hannigan in the Annie remake. I’m not sure what spin Cameron will put on Hannigan, but it’s sure to be an interesting one. Those poor orphans won’t know what hit ‘em.
Cameron’s got other stuff to shill right now besides a remake that didn’t need to happen. Her first book came out on New Year’s Eve! The book is a Goop-inspired lifestyle guide called The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. As CB noted, this book is focused upon the science of health instead of thinness, so it’s not really very Gooplike after all. Cameron’s released a few excerpts that talk about her struggle with adult acne. You know Goop would never admit to having pimples even though the evidence speaks otherwise. Bring it on, Cami:
Cameron Diaz’s face has graced movie screens, magazine covers, and more throughout her years as an actress and model. But her gorgeous looks haven’t always been 100 percent natural. In her new health guide, The Body Book, Diaz admits to struggling with acne as a teen and well into her adult years, even as she got her first gigs in Hollywood.
“I mean, I had terrible, terrible, skin,” she reveals. “It was embarrassing, and I did everything I could think of to make it go away. I tried to cover it with makeup. I tried to get rid of it with medication: oral, topical, even the harshest prescriptions. Nothing helped for very long.”
“It was really challenging to cover them up for the cameras,” she writes. “It was awkward and embarrassing and frustrating, and I always felt really bad about myself.”
But her struggles persisted, she says, until she focused more on what she was putting into her body than how it looked on the outside.
Diaz once bragged, “I eat a cheeseburger with french fries every day.” But as she started to skip fast food and cook for herself at home approaching age 30, the actress-turned-author explains, “a funny thing happened … my skin began to clear up! My acne wasn’t totally gone, but it was significantly better.”
“Looking back, I realize that I hadn’t needed those prescription drugs, those vials of potions and creams,” Diaz, now 41, writes. “I hadn’t needed to be angry at my skin or feel bad about myself. I had just needed to LISTEN TO MY BODY. … acne was my body’s alarm system, it was mew ay of telling me [to stop eating fast food].”

If this revelation connecting Cameron’s past food addiction and her acne issues is any indication of her book as a whole, I’d say she’s got a best seller on her hands. I like that she’s talking about acne without being paid for as an ambassador for Proactiv or whatever the latest drug is called. Sure Cam made some money for this book, but she didn’t have to talk at all about her acne struggles. Good on her.

She?s made quite a name for herself with a string of successful films, and now Cameron Diaz is getting into the writing game.
On Wednesday (December 11), the ?Sweetest Thing? actress shared a photo of herself without makeup via Instagram to plug her forthcoming project ?The Body Book.?
Along with the picture, Diaz added the caption, ?One of my proudest moments! Receiving the first bound copy of The Body Book!!?
Cameron also noted, "LADIES!! I wrote this book for YOU and YOUR BODY.. And I'm so excited to share it with you!!"
Containing Diaz?s ?formula for becoming happier, healthier, and stronger,? ?The Body Book? is due on December 31st.

Cameron is holding a copy of her first book, The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. About a year and a half ago we heard she was working on this book, so she’s probably put some time and effort into it. The book is said to be focused on satiating hunger with nutrient rich foods and focusing on health, fitness and the science behind it, not thinness.
Cameron is super fit that’s for sure, but she’s claimed that she eats junk food and has a beer in the morning to cure hangovers. Maybe her old misconceptions make her more qualified to speak on these matters. It’s not like she’s only eating gluten-free vegan food or telling us to drink juice for a week to lose weight. She used to eat junk and she’s probably learned how poorly that made her feel. Cameron’s book is coming out December 31, just in time for New Year’s resolutions.
As for how she looks without makeup, she’s lovely. (Update: I forgot how she messed with her face a while back as MrsB commented because she looks so natural here. She must have stopped the injections after that.) I have light eyelashes and I don’t go out without mascara, so I’m jealous of everyone with darker eyelashes who can pull off the makeup free look. Kaiser is like that, she doesn’t need it. I’m not convinced that Cam is entirely makeup free here, though. (It’s not like she’s claiming to be, but E! is saying she is.) She may be doing that “tightliner” trick that gives a more natural look.

Hard at work while out in the Big Apple, Cameron Diaz filmed scenes for her upcoming flick, "Annie" on Wednesday (December 4).
Playing sad and a little lost, the "Bad Teacher" beauty wore a fur-hooded gray coat, sporting a pair of sexy black leggings and high-top black boots.
Although very little is known plot-wise with "Annie," the family comedy hits theaters on December 19th, 2014 and Cameron's lead is named Miss Hannigan.

Filming an emotional scene for the musical remake, Cameron Diaz worked on the set of "Annie" in New York City on Thursday (November 14).
The "Bad Teacher" star looked cute in a gray overcoat, black pants, and black heeled boots as she sang all alone on the city streets.
In the modern day retelling, the 41-year-old actress portrays Miss. Hannigan, the surly orphanage matron.
Directed by Will Gluck, the movie also stars Rose Byrne, Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhan Wallis, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Continuing work on her much-anticipated flick, Cameron Diaz showed up on the New York City set of ?Annie? on Tuesday (November 12).
The ?Vanilla Sky? stunner looked awesomely bad as she filmed scenes as Miss Hannigan, an alcoholic orphanage manager.
Meanwhile, it seems Cameron?s name came up recently in a deposition between Tom Cruise and Life & Style/In Touch magazine.
Given that Cruise is suing Bauer Publishing for $50 million in a libel lawsuit, their attorney Elizabeth McNamara has been going through Tom?s alleged romantic encounters with a fine-tooth comb.
Both Cameron and Cruise have denied being romantically involved, back in August 2012 despite In Touch and Life & Style?s myriad reports to the contrary.
