The actress, 37, donned a hot red Oscar de la Renta dress at the showbiz bash in Los Angeles last night.
She finished off the look with nude-coloured Brian Atwood heels, keeping her hair loose and natural in a side-swept style.
Cameron Diaz, who voices ogre Fiona in the movie, walked the green carpet along with Mike Myers, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith.
The fourth instalment of the animated franchise sees Shrek hankering after some excitement after settling into domestic bliss with wife Fiona and their kids.
He makes a pact with trickster Rumpelstiltskin to inject some excitement back into his life and unwittingly finds himself transported to an alternate Far Far Away, where he never existed.
Shrek Forever After is released in UK cinemas on July 2.

Making for an early green carpet appearance, Cameron Diaz was busy promoting "Shrek Forever After" in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (May 16).
Looking fabulous in a red Oscar de la Renta frock, the adorable actress joined co-stars Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy at the Gibson Amphitheatre event.
The press outing comes as the popular series' final installment is ready to hit theaters worldwide on May 21st.

Looking absolutely stunning, Cameron Diaz sizzled in a blue minidress while out in New York City on Wednesday (April 21).
The 37-year-old actress was escorted in and out of Le Colonial restaurant as she grabbed up lunch with actor Mike Myers.
As for the reason behind the midday meetup, Cameron and Mike are currently spending time in the Big Apple for the Tribeca screening of "Shrek Forever After".
Due out May 21st, the final installment in the popular "Shrek" franchise finds "a bored and domesticated Shrek pact with deal-maker Rumpelstiltskin to get back to feeling like a real ogre again, but when he's duped and sent to a twisted version of Far Far Away -- where Rumpelstiltskin is king, ogres are hunted, and he and Fiona have never met -- he sets out to restore his world and reclaim his true love."

These are some new photos of Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake working together on the set of Bad Teacher. Now, I know the headline was slightly misleading. But as I was going through all of these photos, one thing stood out: both JT and Camy are flirting with each other, you can tell from their body language, and both are thinking about it. Pacific Coast News notes that Camy and JT ?seemed to be all smiles and very comfortable while working with one another in a professional atmosphere.? Now, I know some people (most people) don?t really give a crap about whether or not Cameron is going to steal Justin away from Jessica Biel, but this is endlessly fascinating to me. Because I really think it?s on.
Just look at the way Cameron is looking at JT as he? dances? Is that dancing? Or is just doing his blocking for a shot? I can?t really tell, but he looks like he?s ?presenting? as we would say in the animal kingdom. Anyway, Cameron looks totally into it. The Daily Mail/Star has a source who claims: ?’Their chemistry is incredible. Cameron was craving a high-energy comedy and sexual sparks, and she?s definitely getting that with Justin! She positively glows when she?s around him. Cameron couldn?t care less about Jessica. She?s not going to let her stand in the way.?
Is this fake laughter? Is Cameron like, “Ohmygod, you’re so funny, so come back to my trailer?”
Let me ask you something ladies: would you want your boyfriend to be hanging out with his ex-girlfriend, and you could see from the photo evidence that there were still sparks between them? I couldn?t take it. I would have a hissy fit.
