Hilary Duff?s seven-month-old daughter Banks is loose! The little cutey is crawling, which means she?s getting into anything on her level, including a few places her mom ? and the dog ? might not want her. Hilary posted a video to Instagram about Banks investigating her mom?s green juice with the same hand she?d just fisted a mound of dirt and then moved on to play in the dog?s water bowl.
On Wednesday, Hilary Duff shared hilarious new clips of her 7-month-old daughter exploring their house ? including her mom?s green juice and their dog?s water bowl.
The Younger star, 31, shared the videos to her Instagram Story. In one of the first clips, Duff films Banks crawling around outside, wearing a big, black bow in her hair. The baby girl, whom she shares with fianc Matthew Koma, crawls towards Duff?s drink as the mom says, ?What do you see? You see my green juice!?
Banks then sticks her hand directly into the liquid, causing Duff to say with a laugh, ?You just put your hand in dirt and now you just put your dirt hand in my green juice!?
But the fun didn?t stop there. In subsequent clips, Duff showed Banks happily splashing around in their dog?s water bowl.

So, first off ? yes, babies love germs. They love anything that makes their parents gasp and shout ?Ohmigawd don?t touch that!? I think they just like to see adults running at them with a panicked look on their faces. Secondly, I can?t really fault Banks, I?m inclined to splash about in bodies of water when I pass them too. That?s just therapy. If I?m next to a pool, I?ll stick my toe in when I can get away with it. Same applies to the green juice, but people find it less charming when you shove your toe in their $12 kale smoothie. I?m sure mom-shamers will come out of the woodwork now. I, on the other hand, choose to view this as Banks first art installation. Years from now I will say, ?I was fan before anyone even knew her work.?
Speaking of classic Hilary videos, when Buzzfeed interviewed the cast of Younger, we learned that Nico Tortella spends a good portion of his day sending Hilary memes that involve her. But the real joy was when Hilary referenced her own favorite meme of herself, the Me on a First Date one:

Hilary Duff gave birth to her daughter, Banks, six months ago. Hilary stars on the show Younger and is currently filming the next season. Tuesday, Hilary announced on Instagram that due to her heavy workload, she?s done breastfeeding Banks. Her decision stemmed mostly from her depleted milk supply but also trying to fit pumping into her work schedule. It exhausted me to just read how efforts to continue breastfeeding, I can?t imagine the toll it?s taken on Hilary. Unfortunately, the toll was not just physical, it was also emotional and had Hilary feeling like a failure.

Yesterday we reported on the news that Hilary Duff had recorded several Instagram stories calling out her neighbor by his full name for making noise late at night and smoking in his apartment next door in their building in New York City. Hilary said that it?s so bad that she can?t sleep. According to statements she issued she?s tried many times to talk to the landlords and to the neighbor personally. The neighbor, whose first name is Dieter, told Page Six that while he does smoke they live in a smoking building and that he?s inquired about getting better ventilation. He also said that he lives with a sober companion and that he?s tried to work with Hilary however he?s been getting threats after Hilary named him. Dieter also said that he had an altercation with Hilary?s boyfriend, musician Matthew Koma, that Matthew took a swing at him and he missed and hit him in the head instead. Dieter called the cops and an assault report was taken.
Hilary now claims that none of that happened, that Matthew didn?t take a swing at Dieter he just tried to talk to him politely to ask him to stop smoking in the hall.
Duff?s neighbor allegedly called the New York Police Department to their building on Wednesday and claimed that Koma hit him on the head due to an altercation over his alleged chain-smoking.
Authorities from the First Precinct confirm to PEOPLE that police responded to a 911 call and were informed of a dispute during which a male suspect allegedly struck a victim. There were no visible injuries and a report for harassment was recorded.
However, a rep for Duff tells PEOPLE that ?there was no altercation whatsoever.?
?Koma went over today and asked politely yet again for [the neighbor] to take his smoking outside so as not to impact others,? the rep states.

As I said yesterday, this guy knew what he was doing by smoking in a common area. That in no way makes it right that Matthew allegedly punched him, just that it seemed particularly pointed that he would smoke in the hall after Hilary complained on Instagram about his smoking. As for what really happened I?m sure it wasn?t some polite exchange but I don?t know which side to believe. I believe this guy is a piece of work and also that Hilary shouldn?t have used his full name.
It turns out that Hilary violated Instagram terms of service by doxing her neighbor. A rep for Instagram told The Blast that Hilary violated Terms of Service rule number 6 which states, in part, that you must not post private or confidential information via the Service or bully, threaten or intimidate people. As a result they deleted some of her content, which in this case were IG stories which expire after 24 hours anyway.
I wonder if this will cost Hilary social media sponsors. You know the neighbor is about to press charges too.

Hilary Duff did an interview with Womens Health about a week and a half ago that Im only just seeing now. Thats the thing about Hilary Duff, she hustles so hard for coverage that she ends up getting ignored when she says something interesting/controversial. Hilary has been an outspoken advocate for body positivity, shes like Demi Lovato in that way. However Hilary said a bunch of stuff to Womens Health that was short-sighted, Ill call it. Incidentally, Womens Health rephrased an interview they did with Hilary to make it sound like a first person essay, which is bizarre. That may have altered the way her words come across, so some of her responses might be misrepresented.
Being a new mom was one of the happiest times of my life, but how I felt about my body really sucked I also held onto all the baby weight for a long time. I wasnt one of those women who just could nurse and lose the weight. Some people bounce back and dont have to deal with that, and thats wonderful for them. But for me, it was so hard to connect with my body again once I had a baby.
It wasnt until my mind adjusted to not caring as much that I started to figure it all out. I realized that I am never going to be the same again, and thats okay. Ive learned to be proud of what my body does for me, and what it did while I was pregnant with my son.
Now, Im happy to say that I have a pretty healthy relationship with my body. Of course, Im 52, so any kind of weight that I gain, I see it right away. And sure, I want to look good in my jeans, and I want to feel and look good. But I dont need to be a super-skinny person. Im normal, and I have a good relationship with food and indulging myself while being healthy and giving my body what it needs.
Its hard for women every day, no matter what, to love their bodies. Theres pressures just from your friends and how they look, and trying to keep up.
Its terrible that skinny is beautiful. Theres a new version of skinny thats justunreachable. Its a really bad look. If we can just try to celebrate being individuals, and try to feel good instead of trying to fit in, I think that would be huge.
I have been trying to take more time to set my intention for the day and take a few deep breaths in the morning. Its helped me be a more patient and understanding person not only with others, but with myself, too. To be kinder to myself.

I think I know what Hilary means about skinny being equated with beautiful and how that ideal is becoming smaller and more unreachable, however she phrased it oddly and could have been more inclusive in her message. Im sure its much different in her industry and that shes talking about extremes though. This highlights how celebrities get stuck in their own perspective and try to apply that to just about every other situation. Hilary could have hedged a little more in some of these responses, but her core message is good be gentle to yourself and appreciate where you are now. A lot of us struggle with body image and she described that well.
