It was just three weeks ago when we heard that Julianne Hough had set up her BFF Nina Dobrev with her brother Derek Hough. Derek was allegedly Nina?s first relationship since Nina and Ian Somerhalder called it quits a few months ago, and the tabloids claimed that Derek and Nina were getting super-serious very quickly. Well, that?s over. Ah, young love. One minute you?re declaring your undying love for someone on Dancing With the Stars, the next minute you?re leaking news of your breakup to Us Weekly.
Derek Hough’s dance card is once again open. A little less than two weeks after their first public date, the Dancing With the Stars pro and girlfriend Nina Dobrev have split, sources reveal in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The couple of six weeks — who hit up Universal Studios’ Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights in L.A. on Oct. 5 — decided recently that the relationship had “played itself out,” one insider tells Us. Geography was a factor, too: Hough, 28, is filming DWTS in L.A., while Dobrev, 24, is shooting The Vampire Diaries in Atlanta, Ga.
“The distance was too much to handle,” a pal says of the pair.
Us Weekly first exclusively revealed that the two were dating in late September. “[Nina] was hanging a lot with Derek’s sister Julianne,” a source told Us at the time. “Then she fell for him.”
And he for her. “Derek is smitten with Nina,” the insider added. “He said he hasn’t felt this way for a girl in a long time…Everyone approves!”
Alas, the relationship seems to have run its course. But Dobrev’s friendship with Julianne is still intact. “Julianne understands — there are no hard feelings,” another source tells Us of the Safe Haven star and the CW actress, who split from costar Ian Somerhalder in May after three years of dating.

I didn?t realize until just this moment that Vampire Diaries films in Atlanta. Sup, ATL? Got some vampires up in herre. So that goes a long way to explaining why Ian and Nina are still tangled up in each other?s lives ? not only do they film a show together, but they?re on location for more than half of the year. Makes sense. Anyway, I don?t really care about VD or Ian and Nina as a couple, but I my guess is that there will probably be another reunion for them. And then another breakup. They?ll probably do this a few more times. As for Derek? dude, I don?t even know what to say. Good luck.

Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev, the hot one, posted the above photo to her WhoSay and Instagram urging everyone to get covered under Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
Dobrev is Canadian so she knows what healthcare for all is like and says that without it, you’re naked.
On that note, can we strip Nina Dobrev of her healthcare? I would very much like to see her naked.

The implementation of President Obama's Affordable Healthcare Act has been making headlines all week, and Nina Dobrev wants her fans to take advantage of the new initiative.
In a new post to her WhoSay account, the ?Vampire Diaries? dame makes quite an attention-getting statement.
Opting to go sans shirt, Nina holds a cardboard sign that reads ?Get Covered? over her lady region.
Dobrev also included the caption, "I?m Canadian. We have healthcare for all. If you don?t have insurance go to http://say.ly/cdi6TN2 and #GetCovered , Because w/o it, you?re naked."

Do you realize that Derek Hough has ONE Emmy and Jon Hamm has NO Emmys? Sometimes the world just sucks. Anyway, Derek Hough is now a thing. He was featured during the Emmys (during one of the rare non-funereal segments) and he ended up winning the Best Choreographer Emmy. So, Derek has gone from ?that dude on Dancing with the Stars? to ?that dude who won an Emmy for dancing.? Which is a step up. And on his way up the Hollywood ladder, he?s picked up the darling of the CW, Nina Dobrev. What I can?t decide is whether or not this is ?slumming? for Nina.
Did Nina Dobrev speak too soon? The Vampire Diaries actress told Us Weekly earlier this year that she’s in “no rush” to get into a new relationship, but the stunning gal seems to have found herself a new man a lot sooner than she’d anticipated — and it’s none other than BFF Julianne Hough’s older brother Derek!
“[Nina] was hanging a lot with Derek’s sister Julianne,” a source tells Us. “Then she fell for him.”
Dobrev, 24, split with her beau of three years, Ian Somerhalder, in May of this year, and has since been vocal about her desire to focus on other things.
“I’ve been a relationship girl and I’ve been in long-term relationships my whole life until this point, so I think I’m looking forward to spending some time with myself and finding myself again,” she told Us during Cosmopolitan’s Summer Bash on Saturday, Aug. 10. “I’m just discovering different sides of me and growing and then I’ll figure out what I like in a man when I see it.”
And it seems as though the CW actress is already smitten with her new man. In a post to her WhoSay account on Monday, Sept. 23, Dobrev captioned a shot of the 28-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro with his Outstanding Choreography Emmy with a heartfelt message.
“Those of us touched by your light got to watch you brighten up the rest of the world,” she wrote. “Keep shining!”
Hough has similarly fallen head-over-heels for the actress, another insider tells Us.
“Derek is smitten with Nina,” the source says. “He said he hasn’t felt this way for a girl in a long time. ?Everyone approves!”
At the Kari Feinstein Emmys Style Lounge on Thursday, Sept. 19, the smooth dancer specifically requested shoes “for his girlfriend” and then “texted Nina for her size,” an eyewitness tells Us.

Sources also confirm the new couple to Life & Style. L&S?s sources say that Julianne set them up and ?It got serious really fast and they’re inseparable? They’re already saying ‘I love you.’” Well, that IS fast. But Nina is pretty young ? she?s 24 years old to his 28 years. So I guess it makes sense. So is this a rebound thing, something temporary for Nina before she either gets back with Ian Somerhalder or someone higher up on the Hollywood food chain? Or is this something real? I don?t know. We?ll see.

First an Emmy win, now a beautiful lady! Derek Hough is reportedly having the time of his life with a new love, as sources confirm the ?Dancing with the Stars? hunk is dating Nina Dobrev.
A source told E! News the couple started their romantic flame in August, while another claims their relationship is ?somewhat serious.?
Stoking their romance rumors, Nina tweeted congrats to her man after his big win Sunday night (September 22), sharing, "@Derekhough !!!!!!!! #EMMYWINNER I cant express in 140 characters how unbelievably excited+incredibly proud I am of you. You deserve this."
In another post, the ?Vampire Diaries? cutie shared a photo of her bestie Julianne Hough and her rumored beau, writing, "I wish I wasnt filming so I could have been there to celebrate w/u guys!"
Dobrev didn?t stop there, posting a third tweet, which read, "@derekhough Those of us touched by your light got to watch you brighten up the rest of the world. Keep shining!"
Meanwhile, Derek responded to the ample amount of support, simply tweeting, "Your the best babe."

We’re covering some of the fashion at the Teen Choice Awards, with more to come shortly. Here’s a link to a list of winners. First off we have the lovely Nina Dobrev working a J. Mendel abstract print pantsuit with a deep v-neck. The Fashion Court has a photo of the suit from the designer and the top has a much more pronounced peplum there. I’m glad that it’s toned down to a slight ruffle on Nina. This outfit is just killer. I love her styling too. Her messy hair, understated makeup and sparse jewelry are perfection. Nina won last night for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, while her ex boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, won for Actor in the category. Their show, The Vampire Diaries, also took home Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
Lucy Hale of Pretty Little Liars was super cute in white Hougton. This is how you do a belly-baring halter top, just show a hint of skin. Lucy is 24, can you believe it? She looks like she’s about 15. Lucy co-hosted the show along with Darren Criss.
Abigail Breslin on the other hand, is 17 years old. I’m glad that she’s older than I remember considering this dress, but that’s not to say there aren’t plenty of younger teenagers wearing outfits like this. (I feel so old when I see young girls in booty shorts and low cut tops. I just want to put a scarf over them.) Abigail earned headlines a couple of weeks ago when she debuted her platinum hair. She’s growing up and she wants her styling to reflect that. I do like that she paired this very promy green dress with a sparkly bolero jacket. At least she’s covered up somewhat.
Chloe Moretz was adorable in a little Christopher Kane black dress with bright, modern stripe details. She’s wearing Jimmy Choo heels. This look is so cute yet sophisticated. Chloe is 16, and she looks mature for her age without showing too much skin or trying to look sexy.
Hailee Steinfeld, also 16, got it wrong in a bright red and navy blue House of Holland dress with Oscar Tiye shoes. I guess some might call this look playful, but it’s too much with that bold, simple print and contrasting bubble skirt. Her eye makeup and hair look overdone. Maybe with a lighter styling touch she could have pulled off this loud dress.

Nina Dobrev covers the September issue of Cosmopolitan magazine with a “strong” and “single” headline, which I guess is a not-so-subtle reference to Nina’s recent breakup from Ian “Creeptastic Smile” Somerhalder. Nina looks really different than herself on this cover, doesn’t she? I honestly thought this cover featured a very made-under version of J-Woww although (let’s face it) Cosmo is slightly upmarket for J-Woww, which is sad because J-Woww would kill to have a Cosmo cover (you know that’s probably her ultimate career goal).
At any rate, I do think that Nina’s body looks pretty killer in this shoot even if the cover looks a bit too photoshopped and “Jersey Shore”-ish. As the editorial progresses, she looks more and more like herself even if the clothes are pretty terrible. Here are some scant excerpts from the interview:
On her friendship with Julianne Hough: “It’s been cool to find an active buddy – there are a lot girlie girls around. We don’t talk about makeup; we talk about life.”
On what she is working on at the moment: “I want to open my own yoga studio. Panning construction and looking at properties is fun. I’m using a different part of my brain. You know that feeling when you use a different muscle? You’re excited to be exercising it, but you get a little sore! Yoga changed my life. Hopefully, it will do that for others.”

Hmm, opening a yoga studio does sound like fun, but Nina should be careful about mentioning yoga so prominently in an interview because she’s bound to get a call from Russell Brand. It’s nice that she’s so close to Julianne Hough, and I’m sure the two have bonded over their mutual recent breakups of their long-term relationships. Although I suspect that Ian and Nina were a lot more — how do you say — physical than Julianne and Ryan ever were.
Oh dear god, this peacock dress is atrocious. Poor Nina.
