In a last ditch effort to save her just cancelled reality show, Kat Von D and Jesse James have become engaged again. I think this way because I’m cynical.
Jesse confirms the news to PEOPLE and says Kat is wearing her ring again. “Sometimes you are only given one chance in life,” he says. “It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her.” He also tweeted, “*para siempre*” with a link to the photo above.
I imagine after this Kat went to the TLC execs to plead her case and said, “Maybe THIS will change your mind,” while waving her engagement ring in the air. When execs shook their heads, that’s when Kat got really desperate and started juggling and tap dancing at the same time.

My mom watches LA Ink. My point? My mother is a lovely woman, but she sometimes has crappy taste in television programming (she lives for the Real Housewives too). My other point? Kat Von D may play it like she?s so hardcore, but at the end of the day, my mother watched and enjoyed her show. Kat Von D is not as cool as she thinks she is. So my mom is going to have to find new tattoo-themed programming, because LA Ink was just canceled. In the lead up to this season?s premiere, Kat did everything she could to promote the show, including breaking up with Jesse James, bangin? Bam Margera, and throwing hissy fits in interviews. All for naught!
Kat Von D’s LA Ink wasn’t permanent. The reality show centering around Jesse James’ ex-fiancee and her work at High Voltage Tattoo in West Hollywood has been canceled. TLC told Us Weekly in a statement that the “current season of LA Ink will be its last.”
“The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles,” TLC said.
Von D said that the decision to end the show was her own. “I love how me deciding not to continue doing LA Ink turns into [the show] being ‘cancelled,’” she tweeted. “Thanks, TLC. Regardless of everything, I remain grateful.”
Just last month the reality star, 29, and James, 42, called off their engagement. In an episode of LA Ink that aired just two days after announcing the split, von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) got Sandra Bullock’s ex-hubby’s face tattooed on her body.
In a Facebook post last month, von D admitted the past year — which included her house burning down and the loss of her beloved cat — had been a tough one. “As much as I’d like to picture [myself] being this strong, independent woman, the truth is most of the time I’m not as strong as I’d like to be,” she said. “But I’m still trying.”
The series finale of LA Ink will air Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. EST.

Kat has been on Twitter, trying to convince the world that TLC didn?t ?pull a Kate Gosselin? and fire her dumb ass. She ran to People Mag and had them update her “official statement” three times within an hour, and she finally got it perfect (in her mind), saying, “In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn’t happen while filming,. I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers. As grateful as I am to have been a part of a show like LA Ink, I’m ready to end this chapter and want to focus on other projects now.” Poor sucky baby.
For the record, I do think TLC just decided to cancel the show. I don?t think Kat was all ?It?s my decision, I cannot go on!? She?s such a drama queen.
UPDATE: So, after I wrote all that last night, this happened:
Kat Von D may no longer have her show, but she’s back with her man.
Even as TLC announced the cancellation of LA Ink, Von D and Jesse James ? who had called off their engagement last month ? posted on Twitter separate photos of themselves locked in embraces.
James went a step further and added the caption, “para siempre” ? Spanish for “forever.”
In an interview with PEOPLE, James made it official. The engagement is back on, and Von D is once again wearing her ring.

TLC just gone done axing Kate Gosselin’s crappy “Kate + 8? show, and now they’re canceling “L.A. Stink Ink” because of its comparably low ratings. But the way Kat Von D tells it, she wasn’t fired because her show sucks; she quit that bitch because reality TV is supposed to be pure, unadulterated truth. She told People Magazine:

Not only did Kat Von D’s engagement to Jesse James end, presumably because he was cheating on her, but now TLC has decided to not renew LA Ink. In a statement released by the network, they say, “TLC has decided that the current season of LA Ink will be its last. The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles. However, according to Kat Von D, she wasn’t fired. She quit because she had integrity.

I highly doubt fans of LA Ink or any reality show watch it for the honesty. That would be like watching Nascar just to see a bunch of cars drive in a circle and not for the possibility of a fiery crash or watching hockey for the puck handling and not for the possibility of a fight. Although I do like TLC’s recent decision to purge themselves of reality tv. It’s like they’re on a master cleanse of people who annoy me.

Back when Jesse James and Kat Von D were just dating, circa fall of last year, there were often rumors about Kat spending time with other dudes. There were two rumors in particular that I found interesting - Kat with Nikki Sixx, and Kat with Bam Margera. She was spotted hanging out with both of them, and apparently both are former boyfriends too. Kat?s ex-husband, Oliver Peck, even went to the tabloids to talk about the Kat he knew - a superficial narcissist who screwed over friends and screwed around on him. So, basically, I wouldn?t be surprised if Kat cheated on Jesse James, despite the stories that Jesse was the cheater. I think both of them would and could easily have had affairs. This week?s Star Magazine claims that it was Kat, though - and that Jesse dumped her because she was boning Bam.
Star has learned that Jesse James broke off his engagement to Kat Von D after accusing her of cheating on him.
?Jesse believed Kat had been getting it on with her longtime friend Bam Margera, and they had a huge blowup over it,? an insider tells Star. ?Given his past history with Sandra, Jesse?s over-the-top jealousy when it came to Kat is almost laughable.?
Trouble was percolating in Jesse and Kat?s relationship almost from the start.
?Jesse lives in Austin, and Kat?s based in LA, where most of her best friends are guys - many of whom she?s been intimate with in the past. There was always a lot of fuel to fire up Jesse?s Jealous nature.?
One of her closest friends is Bam, 31. A few weeks after Ryan Dunn?s death on June 20, ?Bam went over to Kat?s LA home to hang out and talk, and he ended up spending the night. Jesse found out and questioned her about it, and Kat let slip something about how ?Bam just can?t sleep alone.? Jesse hit the roof when he heard that and accused Kat of cheating on him. They were barely hanging by a thread by then.?
The final nail in the coffin came after Jesse and Kat went to a Soundgarden concert on July 22: ?After the show, Jesse wanted to go backstage and meet the band, but Kat refused A mutual friend told Jesse later that Kat had a romantic history with one of the band members - and she didn?t want to be around him with Jesse by her side? They broke up four days after the concert.

Kat was bonin’ errybody. Star?s insider also claims that Bam ?has a long history with Kat. She needs constant companionship - and their friends believe he?s supplied it in the past.? Okay, y?all. No slut-shaming Kat. She did us all a great service by cheating on Jesse. Yes, she?s still kind of gross - not because she sleeps with everything with a pulse, but because she?s kind of smarmy and delusional and crazy. But she screwed Jesse over, so for that alone, she deserves a slow clap.

I know it’s mean to laugh and point when someone breaks up right before their wedding, but in some cases it’s really hard not to. Here we have tattoo queen Kat Von D, who very publicly took up with Jesse James after his massive cheating scandal, and mutually proclaimed her love for him.
Well as we’ve heard James probably cheated on Kat too (very predictably) and they broke up before their wedding could happen. On Kat’s show L.A. Ink, filmed before the split, she got a tattoo of James’ childhood face on her ribcage. That was shown on the debut episode this season. When a reporter made it clear that Kat would be asked about the split in an interview, she walked off the set before the interview could happen. So she’s clearly very sensitive about the breakup and not ready to deal with it publicly.
Here’s yet another episode of L.A. Ink in which Kat plans her wedding to Jesse, which of course will never happen. TLC is probably loving this, because it’s the best promotion for the show they could ask for. There’s video below of Kat in an upcoming episode, which airs tonight, talking to her potential wedding dress designers about how she wants “a dress that’s special” and a wedding that trumps her elopement to her first husband.
Kat narrates off camera “Jessie and I, this is perfect. I’ve never felt this profound love for somebody else.” She shows the designers wedding dresses on her computer, and the two designers seem put out because they’re so busy. I hope they didn’t get started on it at all. It would have been hard to figure out what the hell she wanted anyway. Kat first showed them an intricate lace number and then a print by Mucha with a dress that was nothing like the first. She’s ridiculous.
Why the hell is Kat wearing two different colors of eye shadow? She looks ridiculous and like she’s got a bruise on one eye. She also comes across as dumb and naive. I guess you’d have to be to hook up with that guy at this point.
Kat is shown out on 7/29 and on 7/30. She’s with her dad. I hate those white pants, those leggings with the faux lace print and those clunky shoes!

Radar has an exclusive report from an eyewitness who claims that he/she saw Jesse James and Kat Von D fighting? about another woman. Shocking, I know. But considering Kat?s hissy fit and public ?woe is me? act yesterday and today, I?m getting the feeling that another ?Jesse James is a womanizing douche? storm is about to erupt. Let?s face it - Kat Von D will never ?pull a Bullock? and keep her mouth shut and encourage people to move on. Kat is going to milk whatever this is for as long as she can:
Jesse James and Kat Von D ended their engagement on Monday, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned the details of their blowout fight and the other woman that led to their breakup.
According to an eyewitness, Jesse and Kat had a verbal argument outside of her Los Angeles, Calif. home Monday afternoon about another woman before Kat finally told him to leave.
?They were outside and I could hear them fighting. Kat kept throwing some woman?s name out and arguing about how she didn?t like him living so far away,? the source exclusively told RadarOnline.com.
?Jesse finally said, ?Fine, f**k you!? and sped away on his motorcycle. Kat sat in her Bentley with her head on the steering wheel for about three minutes before finally driving away.?
As RadarOnline.com was first to report, Kat announced her split from Jesse on her Twitter account saying, ?I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”
?It was clear from the tone of the conversation that Kat was accusing Jesse of something with this other woman,? the eyewitness said.

Once a cheater, always a cheater? Jesse was caught being unfaithful with numerous women while married to Sandra Bullock, leading to their divorce on June 28, 2010. Just two months later Jesse was dating Kat and they became engaged on January 20, 2011, before calling it off seven months later on July 25, 2011.

The problem, for Kat, is that no one really gives a crap if Jesse cheated on HER. We cared about Sandra Bullock because we were invested in her good-girl image. Plus, I think most people saw this coming, right? Jesse cheats on whoever he?s with. He?s That Guy. So? yeah, I?ll believe this. I can?t wait to hear more.
By the way, my theory is still that Jesse and Kat were done weeks ago - back in mid-June, there were some reports about their time apart, and their tweets seemed to indicate that they were in the midst of a breakup. If my theory is true and they were done more than a month ago, why announce it now? Is it just to promote Kat?s show or whatever?

An eyewitness reports that Jesse and Kat argued outside of her LA home on Monday about another woman and how she didn’t like him living so far away.
Jesse, the image of level-headedness, said, “Fine, f**k you!,” and sped off on his little motorcycle. Ooooo, what a hard-ass tool.
The most confusing thing about Jesse’s cheating is that he cheats down. All of his affairs are with women less attractive. It’s like he expects them to be more discrete even though it’s common knowledge ugly people can’t keep secrets.

We heard yesterday that Kat Von D pulled a Paris Hilton and walked out of the studio of Good Day L.A. just prior to a scheduled interview promoting the new season of her reality show, L.A. Ink. Reports differ as to why Kat took offense, but it seems to be the fact that Kat’s planned introduction included the news of her breakup from Jesse James. Good Day L.A. claims it got the go-ahead to ask about the breakup during their interview with Kat, but Kat claims she asked them not to open with that breakup and that they ignored her. She didn’t like that and marched off in a huff.
Kat Von D says she had a DAMN good reason for walking off “Good Day L.A.” this morning — telling TMZ, she made one reasonable request … and producers repeatedly BLEW HER OFF.
Kat tells us, she agreed to answer a question about her breakup from Jesse James on one condition — that the anchor didn’t mention the split in his introduction.
But according to Kat, that request was IGNORED — and as we previously reported, anchor Jeff Michael read out an introduction that highlighted Kat and Jesse’s breakup.
Kat says she saw what was on the teleprompter long before Jeff read it — and even pulled a producer aside to have someone change the script … but nothing happened.
According to Kat, she “very politely” informed them … if it wasn’t changed, she wouldn’t be able to go on. But no one changed squat, so Kat beat it.
Later, during the show, the executive producer went on the air — explaining Kat’s only prior request was not to bring up Sandra Bullock or Michelle McGee … a request “Good Day” honored.
Nevertheless, Kat adds, “I have no interest in going back on, but I wish them all the best.”

Kat and Good Day L.A. host Jillian Barberie then got into it over Twitter, with Kat calling the show “disrespectful.” You can read those details on People if you’re interested. Entertainment Tonight has video of Good Day L.A. anchors discussing the walk off. I really like what anchor Jillian Barberie said about Kat leaving like that. She said “You live a public life and were promoting your reality show, which includes him. We sympathize that you broke up, but of course we were going to ask about it. That?s the clip that you sent us.”
Kat later posted a long entry on Facebook in which she didn’t apologize for walking off the set, but seemed to say that she was overwhelmed and didn’t handle everything well. She wrote “this isn’t an apology for walking out on a silly morning show interview this morning- and this isn?t an attempt at justifying anything either. I don’t expect people to understand, just like I can’t expect myself to be able to please everyone at all times.” It was a lot of feeling sorry for herself. Again, she’s promoting a reality show based on her life and she needs to be able to answer questions or just say she’s not comfortable with them. Leaving like that only makes her look petty. She should have known what she was getting into with Jesse anyway, but maybe she thought she could “change” him or that he was different. Now she’s so disappointed and can’t stand it that people are focusing on her breakup.

There?s no doubt she?s got a lot going on in her life right now, and apparently Kat Von D is a bit sensitive these days.
On Wednesday morning (July 27), just ahead of an appearance on ?Good Day L.A.,? the reality TV star ignited at the mention of her split with Jesse James and stormed out.
Shortly after, Kat tweeted, ?Dear GoodDayLA, thanks for the waste of a perfectly good morning,? tweeted Von D. ?Lack of compassion n respect for each other never fails to dissapoint (sic) me.?
On Monday, it was announced that Von D and James called off their wedding and parted ways.
