Here is an early preview of Kristen Stewart?s appearance in the July issue of Elle UK. The photography is by Matthias Vriens McGrath, and I think it kind of works. Kristen is a tricky subject though - she?s so dependent on styling. I do think she?s a pretty girl, but she?s been in some truly terrible photo shoots. For me, the gold standard of Kristen Stewart pictorials is still the one she did for Interview Magazine last year - I love that one, and she looked so sexy, edgy and hardcore, but not like she was trying too hard. The worst was probably the Harper?s Bazaar shoot with Robert Pattinson, where they made her keep her ?Bella? wig on and styled her to look like a princess. It fell flat. This one is somewhere in between. I like the black-and-white photography, but it just doesn?t feel new to me.
I haven?t been able to find any excerpts from the cover interview yet, so I?ll just bore you with some fun facts about K-Stew that we haven?t reported on yet:
*She?s spending most of the summer promoting Eclipse, but in August she?ll be doing On the Road, the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac?s classic, iconic novel. She?s be playing Marylou, Dean Moriarty?s wife. Dean is going to be played by Garrett Hedlund (I had to look him up - he?s on Friday Night Lights and he?s kind of cute). Oh, crap - Kirsten Dunst has signed on too. Several weeks ago, Kristen confirmed the news, saying: “I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road.’ So that’s a big deal.”
*Kristen and Pattinson are going to be presenting at the MTV Movie Awards - TOGETHER. That sound you heard was millions of tweens having a simultaneous orgasm. Oh, but Taylor Lautner (Jacob) will be there too - boner killer. His voice annoys the hell out of me. When he grows up, he?s going to sound like Jesse James.
*Last, did you guys hear the rumor that Kristen was supposed to be Vogue?s June cover girl, and not Blake Lively? LaineyGossip had a piece about it last week - rumor was that Anna Wintour would only give Kristen the cover if Kristen did an in-depth and personal interview. Kristen refused and she got bumped. Maybe that?s why that Blake Lively piece seemed so random and thrown-together - it was. But I got my Vogue over the weekend, and Kristen is included! She?s modeling Vogue?s new feature, the ?Steal of the Month?. They put her in a look that costs less than $1000 I think. It?s a good photo, but it would have been cool to see her on the cover instead of Blake. Here?s the Vogue photo:

Kristen Stewart joins Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund in Walter Salles‘ long-anticipated big-screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. Stewart will play Dean Moriarty’s incandescent on-and-off wife Marylou.
Riley will star as Kerouac’s alter ego Sal Paradise. Hedlund has been cast as Moriarty.

Kristen Stewart is the June cover girl for American Elle Magazine. Now, I like Elle a lot, but this is a craptastic cover. It doesn?t look high-end at all. It looks like K-Stew is dressed in clothes from The Gap, and they threw her on the cover of Lucky or Seventeen. What?s weird is that Kristen?s look can go very high-end - remember her absolutely gorgeous, sexy photo shoot for Interview magazine? Thankfully, the other photos from Kristen?s Elle shoot are slightly better, although Elle seems to be focusing less on clothes and more on fancy settings lately. It?s weird.
Elle also put up some interview excerpts, where there?s a lot of K-Stew angst:
On the madness that has become her life: ?It?s insane! Once somebody finds out, you have to get the hell out of wherever you are. People freak out. And the photographers, they?re vicious. They?re mean. They?re like thugs. I don?t event want to drive around by myself anymore. It?s f-cking dangerous.?
On her loss of privacy: ?Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan. I was like, ?Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I?m in?? I can?t be by myself and I like being by myself.?
On criticism of her public manner: ?I think it?s funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I?m nervous, uncomfortable, and awkward?and I am?but those are bad words for them.?
On her red-carpet demeanor: ?People say that I?m miserable all the time. It?s not that I?m miserable, it?s just that somebody?s yelling at me?I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying?It?s a physical reaction to the energy that?s thrown at you.?
On caring: ?I hate it when they say I don?t give a sh-t, because nobody cares more than I do. I?m telling you I don?t know anybody who does this that gives a shit more than I do.?
On Team Edward vs. Team Jacob: ?I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ?Just say who you?re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.? It?s like, No they won?t! They?ll ask for specifics.?

Nobody cares more than her? Really? I?ll buy that she cares about her craft, I?ll buy that she cares about her performance, but I don?t think she really gives a sh-t about the red carpets and the interviews and all of the extra stuff piling up that goes into being a professional actor these days. But, unlike some, I do buy that she?s awkward and uncomfortable, and not so much bitchy and snotty - although she should stop going to events baked, and she should stop rolling her eyes when the cameras are around.

Continuing to line up role after role, Kristen Stewart has announced that she'll be starring in a film called "On the Road".
Set to start shooting this summer, the "Twilight" cutie made the news known while in Chicago on Wednesday (May 5) taping "The Oprah Winfrey Show" as part of her "Eclipse" promotions.
As for Miss Stewart's new gig, "On the Road" is an adaptation from Jack Kerouac?s 1957 novel of the same name.
Talking to USA Today, Kristen said of the project, ?I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in On the Road. So that?s a big deal.?
The 20-year-old actress will be playing the young wife of Dean Moriarity (played by Garrett Hedland) while Walter Salles will direct.

She?s usually so fashionable at the plethora of red carpet events she attends, but last night (May 3) Kristen Stewart committed what some are calling a style snafu.
The ?New Moon? hottie showed up at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art wearing what?s being described as a ?Chanel catastrophe.?
One style critic stated, "She doesn't quite have the personality to pull off such a complex dress. Without a confident pose to back it up, the dress is sorely discordant."
Another blogger wrote, "Kristen looks too young to pull this heavy look. Kristen looks like she?s trying too hard."

Gracing the MET Ball with her presence, Kristen Stewart was spotted arriving to the jam-packed red carpet in New York City on Monday (May 3).
The ?Twilight? actress looked fashionable and fun in an all-black ensemble as she happily posed for pictures in the midst of the hectic media frenzy.
The Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrates the opening of the ?American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity? exhibition.
Over the weekend, the beautiful brunette joined co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner to re-shoot a few scenes for the upcoming ?Eclipse? in Vancouver, Canada.

From vampires to the troubled girl next door, Kristen Stewart can do it all.
Recent reports are claiming that the "Twilight" star has made plans to partake in an upcoming Bollywood movie called "Paani."
Apparently, the director of the movie, Shekhar Kapur, offered the 20-year-old actress the role and said that she ?gave the green signal.?
The movie is said to be about Hrithik Roshan and Stewart who play lovers that may be much like the Romeo and Juliet story.
On the contrary, many are saying the rumors are false with one source telling that it is completely made up and that Kristen "is not set to star in this movie.?

They?ve always done all they could to keep their relationship under wraps, but now it seems Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are looking to move in together.
The ?New Moon? costars/real-life lovers have reportedly been house hunting in the Los Angeles area, as Stewart is hoping to take Robert off the market for good.
A source told press, ?Kris has ratcheted up her plan to pin Rob down. She?s been house-hunting in L.A, with the intention of getting Rob to move in with her.?
And it sounds like Robert is on board for the whole thing. ?He feels so lucky to have found someone so young, with such an old soul.?
