He’s always up for a good flick, and last night Matthew McConaughey was spotted at the Los Angeles premiere of the documentary “One Peace at a Time.”
Joined by his lovely babymama Camila Alves, the “Failure to Launch” stud looked hunky in a dark suit as he strolled past the paparazzi.
As for upcoming gigs, Matthew is slated to star in an adaptation of Michael Connelly’s best-selling crime novel “The Lincoln Lawyer.”
Under the direction of acclaimed actor/director Tommy Lee Jones, McConaughey will play a criminal defense lawyer who works out of his Lincoln Town Car.

Taking some time off from his uber-busy schedule, Matthew McConaughey was spotted out on the Malibu beach yesterday afternoon (August 30).
Joined by girlfriend Camila Alves and their son Levi, the “Failure to Launch” actor looked to be having a marvelous time as he enjoyed some quality family downtime.
Coming up for Matthew is a new film project called “Southbound” also starring Latina hottie Eva Mendes.
The film is about a border patrol officer who finds himself caught in the middle of a war between a Mexican crime family and the US immigration police when he comes into contact with a beautiful Mexican woman.

The mothers of Matthew McConaughey and baby-mama Camila Alves are not happy. Now that the lovely couple are expecting a second child, both Mama McConaughey and Mama Alves are hellbent on seeing their kids make it official. For the Alves family, the problem seems to be religion - they are devout Catholics. True, they are nice, understanding Catholics, and they were fine with baby Levi being born without an official wedding. I guess their reasoning was ?Hey, these things happen, everything will work out.? But with Camila?s second pregnancy, her family is all ?Hey, seriously, you?re a nice Catholic girl and you?re giving the milk away for free. Make him buy the cow, for goodness sake.? Unfortunately, it seems both Camila and Matthew are quite happy with their unmarried status:
Now that his longtime girlfriend Camila Alves is expecting baby No. 2, Matthew McConaughey is under serious pressure to tie the knot with the Brazilian beauty - from his and Camila?s moms!
After the couple announced the good news to their families, both grandmothers asked when they were going to get married, a friend told The Enquirer.
?Both moms were thrilled, but they wondered about wedding plans. They hoped that after little Levi was born last July that there?d be a wedding,? revealed the friend. ?But so far, their wish has not come true.?
?Camila?s parents live in Brazil - and come from a culture where respectable people get married and THEN have babies,? the friend explained.
?They raised Camila in the Catholic faith, and they worked hard to send her to a Catholic university. They don?t understand why she and Matthew don?t want to get married.?
Matt?s mom is siding with the Alves family and says that if Matthew really loves Camila, he should WANT to make her his wife, says the friend.
But Camila believes ?a piece of paper isn?t going to make their relationship any stronger than it already is.?
The two have already exchanged ?private vows of commitment? on a beach near their home, according to the friend, and for now, that?s enough for them.

I think it?s cool that Camila is all ?whatever? about making it official. I really think that Camila puts up with a lot in that relationship, but she seems to take it all in stride. Whether it?s living in a trailer, eating whatever crazy thing Matthew has concocted in the laboratory, or not getting married, Camila seems just as chilled out as Matthew. The most likely dynamic (in my opinion) is that Matthew doesn?t really have any strong feelings about getting married, either way. If Camila felt strongly about having a wedding, I?m sure Matthew would be up for it. Perhaps they really were meant for each other.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves welcomed a baby boy just 11 months ago. Yesterday, through his website, he announced that he and Alves were expecting again.
“Happy Father’s Day. It’s my first, and the last 11 months with Levi and Camila have been the most rewarding adventure to date,” McConaughey writes. “We have more blessed news to celebrate this Father’s Day that [will] make this time next year double the fun. Levi is going to be a big brother… Yeah, we pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time, Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows…. just keep livin, Matthew and Camila.”
Matt is already throwing around names for their second son. At the top of the list are: Dockers, Armani and Billabong. My money is on Billabong because it makes Matt giggle uncontrollably every time he says it. “Hehe. I said bong.” [PEOPLE]

Dad of less than one year Matthew McConaughey is expecting his second child with girlfriend Camila Alves. I guess all that stuff about pot making you sterile is bullshit. He wrote on his official site

The “greatest miracle in the world?” Come on. The mice that live in my pantry just pulled off the greatest miracle in the world like 35 times in the last week alone. I’d say the bigger miracle in all this is that “The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” didn’t result in any attempts on his life. Lucky for him, Tennessee gun laws really got in the way of my doing anything about it.

Matthew McConaughey announced on Father’s Day, on his personal website, that the happy couple are expecting a second baby together. “We have more blessed news to celebrate this Father’s Day that [will] make this time next year double the fun. Levi is going to be a big brother… Yeah, we pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time, Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for.”There’s no word yet on a due date or what the sex of the future McConaughey baby is.

Matthew McConaughey announced on his website Sunday night (Father?s Day) that he and girlfriend Camila Alves are expecting their second baby. Their first baby, son Levi, is only 11 months old. I would suspect that Camila and Matthew decided to announce now because she is nearing the end of her first trimester, the traditional time to announce. Which means Camila is probably due January-ish. Perhaps Camila and Gisele Bundchen have the same due date. There must be something in the water:

Congratulations to Matthew and Camila - they seem like great, involved hippie parents to Levi and they?re most likely absolutely thrilled with a second baby on the way. As I see more of Matthew as a dad, I like him more. I had always been kind of ?meh? about his personality and acting career, but he seems much more centered and cool now that he?s a father. Judging from the epically cute paparazzi photos of Matthew and Levi, I think they?re two peas in a hippie pod. Still, I?m sort of hoping this second baby is a little girl. I think being a dad to a little girl would improve Matthew even more. Suddenly there would be no more trailers and bongo-playing and his life would be about barrettes and glitter. It would be good for Matthew. And Camila probably wants a girl too!

Matthew McConaughey?s baby mama seems like a nice enough girl, but what exactly are her qualifications for anything other than ?model?? Bravo seems to think Camila Alves has something, though. They?ve just hired Camila to be the new host of Shear Genius, the reality show/contest to pick the next great hair stylist. Shear Genius is preparing for its third season, and they?ve just kicked out Jaclyn Smith. Camila?s pretty, but she?s no Jaclyn Smith. My mom?s going to be so upset Jaclyn got the ax.
Get your scissors sharpened and brush up on your layering techniques, Shear Genius fans, Season 3 is on its way with new host Camila Alves.
The Bravo show, which pits wannabe hair stylists against each other in the salon for a $100,000 prize, was hosted by Jaclyn Smith in the past.
Camila will take on her new hosting duties in the upcoming season, and will be assisted by judges Kim Vo and reality show veteran Jonathan Antin. Jonathan starred on his own show, Blow Out, which revolved around daily life in his salons in L.A. He’s also the brother of Pussycat Dolls’ founder Robin Antin.
Maybe Levi’s daddy Matthew McConaughey will stop by with that mane of golden curls for a touch-up! Tune in this season to find out!

That would be funny if Matthew McConaughey guest starred on Shear Genius. He probably wouldn?t let the contestants get anywhere near his hair though - if he comes on, it will be a guest judge, that?s my guess.
So, back to the original question: What are Camila?s qualifications? Or does her resume just read ?Matthew McConaughey?s baby mama?? Jaclyn Smith was and is a goddess - more than a pretty face, she?s a smart businesswoman who knows a lot about Hollywood, fashion and styling. I?ll miss her.

Matthew McConaughey popped the question to girlfriend Camila Alves back in February, according to In Touch. Though he was said to have proposed after the birth of their son Levi in July, and Camila was spotted wearing a ring all the way back in September of 2007, it seems this time may be the real deal. In typical McConaughey fashion, he was pretty relaxed about the whole thing, but it sounds romantic nonetheless.
… one close friend says Matthew, 30, already proposed to Camila, 27, during the Carnivale festival in Rio de Janeiro in February. “He popped the question,” says the pal. “It was important to him that they wait until they were comfortable s a family. Only his closest friends know.”
But they’re not hiding it, either. In late March, Camila was seen pushing Levi’s stroller in Malibu wearing a yellow-diamond engagement ring. “They’ve been talking about it for a while, but they didn’t want to make a big deal of it,” the friend explains.
The laid-back couple, who have been dating sine summer 2007, want to get married twice, the pal reveals. “They are thinking of a beach wedding in Brazil with Camila’s family, as well as a service in Malibu so that many of Matthew’s friends, who can’t travel all the way to South America, will be there.
While details of the ceremonies haven’t been set yet, there’s no doubt that Matthew has strong opinions about the kind of wedding he wants. It will likely be earthy and eccentric, just like him. “If I were going to do something off the beaten path, I’d have to be buck naked in the Amazon,” he has said. “I’d go tribal before I’d go Vegas.”
And there’s no way he’d ever sneak off and get married. “I’ve thought, ‘Do I want a huge wedding, or do I want to elope?’ Eloping wouldn’t go over well with Mom,” he admitted.

I could still see Matthew doing the naked-in-the-Amazon thing. Sure, he?s changed to an extent, but he doesn?t seem like he?s gotten uptight. And in this context, when I say ?uptight,? I mean having the traditional sense of boundaries that causes a man to keep his clothes on in front of other people.
I hope they do something relaxed and fun, which it sounds like they will. It?s nice to be able to have two weddings when families and friends live far apart. And I?m sure baby Levi will have an important role too ? depending on how long they wait to actually tie the knot, maybe the ring bearer?
