Olivia Munn walked the red carpet at last night’s Met Gala in full screen siren mode. Olivia is newly single and looking to make a big splash, and she chose a canary yellow Diane von Furstenberg gown to make an impact. This dress falls flat and overwhelms her figure. The two-toned yellow is confusing. Even though there’s plenty of cleavage to be found, there’s also too much fabric in the overall dress. Dare I say that this dress ages Olivia? She’s only 33 years old, but this seems like a Sharon Stone number.
Olivia looks great from the shoulders up. Her hair is lush. Her makeup is appropriately dewy, and those freckles are always adorable. If she’d gone with a fresher, younger dress, she’d have had a more successful run last night.
Nicole Richie chose a Donna Karan Atelier dress. This funky, backless dress was made of custom-dyed velvet. She wore Louboutin shoes and House of Harlow 1960 jewelry. The lavender hair sets this look off just right. She looks a little spooky but fun.
Shailene Woodley wore a multi-print Rodarte dress that made her look like Mother Nature. That was probably the point because Shailene is such a hippy dippy girl. This dress is so busy from the sheer skirt with a leafy overlay all the way up to the velvety silver, off-the shoulder neckline. This dress is pure Shailene. If you like her, you’ll like this dress. If not? You catch my drift.

Margot Robbie had a style mishap in Prada. This dress, like many others last night, had too much going on. The white satin bra stood out under the blue transparent overlay with geometric details. The skirt looks like bathroom tile. Oh, so bad.

Breakups all over the place! It?s exciting. In a sad way, I guess, only I can?t help but crack a smile with this breakup news. According to Us Weekly, Joel Kinnaman and Olivia Munn are dunzo and have been for ?several months.? According to photo agency archives, it seems like the last time they were photographed together was Valentine?s Day of this year. Olivia was with Joel as he promoted Robocop, but then she did the Oscar parties alone. What?s weird is that she JUST name-dropped Joel in her Allure cover interview for the May issue (which would have been done around the time of the breakup).
And that’s the way it is! Olivia Munn and Joel Kinnaman are done, multiple sources exclusively confirm to Us Weekly. The insiders add that the stars, who were first confirmed as a couple back in March 2012, have both been single for several months now.
“They ended things a few months ago but both seem fine,” one source tells Us. “A lot had to do with distance. He’s back filming in Toronto and she’s now in L.A. for good.”
The Swedish-American actor, 34, who stars on Netflix’s cult show The Killing, and the Newsroom actress, 33, were last photographed together back in February in NYC. Kinnaman, who was in town to promote the reboot of RoboCop, planted kisses on his girlfriend as the two sat courtside at a Knicks game. He also stopped by the Today show and said of Munn, “She’s a hoot, she’s a lot of fun.”
Munn and Kinnaman first met back in 2011. “They were actually close friends before they even started dating,” adds a second insider, “so they’ve been able to stay really good friends even through the breakup. It’s just made things much easier for both of them.”
Showing no signs of trouble in paradise, Munn recently gushed of Kinnaman in the May 2014 issue of Allure magazine. “If there was ever going to be a girl who would want her man to bring home a RoboCop suit, it would be me,” she told the beauty mag. “Joel is truly fantastic in it.”
Munn’s history of dating hot men — suit and tie included — is extensive. The Newsroom standout has been linked to hockey hunk Brad Richards, and had a fling with Justin Timberlake back in September 2010. She also dated Star Trek franchise hottie Chris Pine from 2009 to 2010.

I always forget about Olivia and Chris Pine. Why do I have no memory of that? It?s weird gossip-block to have. I do remember that she fooled around with Justin Timberlake when he was dating Jessica Biel, and I remember that Olivia pretty much went to Us Weekly and gave them the story because she honestly thought JT was going to dump Biel for her. It was a revenge thing. So? yeah, I don?t know much about Joel, but he seems too level-headed to deal with Olivia?s drama for too long. I?m kind of surprised they lasted as long as they did.

Olivia Munn got the cover of the May issue of Allure for some reason. Even though I don?t think much of her as an actress or anything like that, I have to admit? I?m digging this Allure shoot. The cover is straight out of the glamazon ?80s and early ?90s. It reminds me of old Sassy covers. And I LOVE Olivia?s freckles. Anyway, Olivia has lots of ideas and thoughts about beauty, fame and her boyfriend Joel Kinnaman. Some highlights:
What she would never do in front of her boyfriend: “I would never let my man see me shave. I just don’t think that you ever look like you’re in a nice position.?
She makes fun of the models & actresses who pretend to love food: “‘Like, I’m going to have French toast because I always eat,’” she says, doing her best Valley girl impression. “‘I can eat whatever I want. I’m just lucky like that!’” She rolls her eyes. “I remember reading these articles when I was younger, and I just felt like, Well, in order to look like that, you have to have some secret, magical unicorn blood that makes carbs disappear as they go into your body. I prefer the truth,” says the actress, who had melon and green tea.
She always signs autographs: “I think it’s strange when people don’t sign autographs for people. Fans are just people who are helping you make your dreams come true.”
Dating Joel Kinnaman: “If there was ever going to be a girl who would want her man to bring home a RoboCop suit, it would be me. Joel is truly fantastic in it.”
Playing Sloan Sabbith in The Newsroom: “What I really love to do for a role is make the woman unapologetic for who she is. They wanted to put me in a turtleneck, and I said no. They’re like, ‘We want people to take her seriously,’ and I said, ‘People will take her seriously because of her brain. It’s not her problem what somebody sees when they look at her.’”

I?m not sure what I think of Olivia?s criticism of women who pretend they eat all the time ? she would have a field day with Candice Swanepoel?s recent comments, wouldn?t she? I guess I like that Olivia is publicly honest about dieting and watching what she eats, and yes, I would prefer that honesty to some lie about how whatever model finds it SO difficult to put on weight.
As for not letting men see her shave? some men like it. I mean, some men like to see that. I hesitate to call it a fetish, but some dudes do like to watch women shave their legs (or other parts).

This morning we’ll be bringing you some of the fashion from last night’s ACM Awards. You can see a complete list of nominees and winners here. The ceremony was co-hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryant, and here’s the video of their opening monologue. (I’m having a hard time finding performance videos, but USA Today has a list of the performances.)
First off we have Olivia Munn trying to distract us from her new face with her pushed up rack. Don’t ask me why she was there. Whatever Olivia had done around Oscar time, and it was probably Botox, has settled for her and she doesn’t look quite as altered. In terms of her fashion, she didn’t have to show so much boob but for her it’s somewhat subdued. This dress had both a very high leg slit and a low cut bodice. Just her style. She could have toned it down by not matching her lipstick to her dress color and by not showing us half her underboob on both sides.
Here’s Kellie Pickler looking adorable in a cornflower blue strapless Romona Keveza gown with a long train. It seems a little overdone, but the dress is pretty overall. I do wish she would have done something different with her hair. The curls look a bit stiff. Kellie’s dress is also rather low cut, but her boobs aren’t smooshed together and we’re not seeing the entire side outline.
Kacey Musgraves wore a baby blue Miu Miu gown that had weird gathered fabric at the bodice leading down to a full skirt. The dress was topped off with a fug blue and white belt. I thought Miu Miu was better than this. Kacey won Album of the Year for “Same Trailer Different Park.” You may remember that Kacey won Best Country Album at this year’s Grammy’s too. Her dress here is better than both her strange tiered Grammy’s dress and the mullet see-through dress she wore to the CMAs so slow clap. Check out all that blue eye shadow.
Jamie Lynn Spears was super cute in a sequin Ikat print dress that looked more suited to brunch than an awards show. Maybe the sequins were more striking in person. Jamie Lynn came with her new husband, Jamie Watson. Jamie Lynn is a country singer now in case you didn’t know. Blake Shelton mildly dissed her sister in his opening monologue, quipping “if you don?t like live music, then you need to go down the block and see Britney Spears.”
Finally we have Martina McBride in David Meister. I know Meister as the designer who does a lot of dresses for Melissa McCarthy. The top of this dress is really lovely, I like the cap sleeves as well as the floral print, but it looks too busy with the print going all the way down the long skirt. It needs to have a slit or be shorter or something.

She?s always loved a good party, and Olivia Munn came ready to have fun as she arrived at the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards this evening (April 6).
Pretty in pink, the ?Magic Mike? starlet was red carpet-ready as she smiled confidently for the shutterbugs.
Hosted by returning emcees Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards is mostly about the trophies, though there will be plenty of super-hot performances as well.
Slated to take the stage this evening are acts like Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Lee Brice, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker.
