Kaiser and I were on phone yesterday trying to coordinate Oscar party coverage after we realized that one of our photo agencies had released their Vanity Fair party pics in stages, and we’d missed the second wave. We were so tired we decided to cover these people today, hence these additional photos. One of the things we talked about was who bugged us the most at the Oscars. Kaiser was saying Zoe Saldana, because Zoe wore two dresses and seemed to be seeking attention, but I say Zoe pales in comparison to Olivia Munn here. At least Zoe was a presenter and had some kind of excuse.
Olivia, on the other hand, showed up for whatever reason looking like she was about to pop out of her Oscar Marchesa monstrosity (that dress is over here) with chest spillage that was approaching Brandi Glanville levels. When she changed up for the Vanity Fair party, and of course she changed, she wore this peach beaded Versace Atelier number that showed skin all over the place. I don’t know where to start with this dress, so I’ll let it speak for itself. You guys can probably come up with better adjectives than me, with “trashy” being at the top of my list.
In contrast we have Kate Beckinsale, who almost always wears ball gowns and overdoes it, but at least she’s not pulling back her hair, slapping on some cheap lipgloss, putting on her best wide-eyed “oh me?” look and showing us her goods. Ok I got that out of my system, thanks! Getting back to Kate, she’s so lovely and we know what we’re getting with her. She wasn’t at the Oscars this year but she came to the Vanity Fair Oscar party and classed up the joint. She was in a strapless black Monique Lhuillier gown with gold details. I like the geometric design on her gown but find the skirt a little too much. It’s the Oscars Vanity Fair party, it’s appropriate.
I’ll be damned, is Hillary Swank wearing the same red dress that Sally Field wore to the Oscars?! It’s also by the same designer, Valentino, and Hilary’s dress is sheer while Sally’s was much more opaque. The draping around the bodice and arms is very similar, as is the way the skirt falls into a long train. (Although Sally’s dress was more ruffled.) I’m not a fan of that sheer skirt over a mini combo and think that Sally’s dress worked better.
Valentino is the designer whom Anne Hathaway is chummy with, headed by the oompa loompa dude, and Anne ditched her Valentino Oscar gown at the last minute for that nipply Prada. Here we have two actresses at Oscar events in strikingly similar dresses from the same fashion house. I’m not an insider by any means, but this shouldn’t happen should it? As it turns out, Anne rejected that Valentino for being to similar to another gown, Amanda Seyfried’s Alexander McQueen. (Kaiser talked about that here.) So Valentino royally screwed up this awards season.
Again, Sally Field’s dress. It’s too close for comfort for me. I would be pissed if I was either of these women.

Stepping out with her beau, Olivia Munn went to a party at a home in West Hollywood with Joel Kinnaman on Friday (February 22).
The "Newsroom" star wore a black long-sleeved top and knee-length hot Pink skirt with her black heels as she held the hand of her Swedish boyfriend.
Earlier this week, the 32-year-old actress answered Twitter questions from fans with Vanity Fair at a Twitterview before the Vanities party at the Chateau Marmont.
When asked about what the multi-talented star isn't so good at, Oliva admitted, "Many things I *can't* do well, but to name just one: Pool Ping Pong. Ping Pong in my pool. My BF kicks my ass every time."

Celebrating the best players and plays of the 2012 season, Olivia Munn attended the 2nd Annual NFL Honors at Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans on Saturday (February 2).
Adding some femininity to the room full of jocks, the "Newsroom" star looked lovely in a coral two-toned gown with a slit up one side.
Excited for the opportunity, the 32-year-old actress tweeted, "Presenting first award w/Drew Brees at #NFLHonors. Watch tonight 9pmET on @cbs @nfl :)."
Hosted by Alec Baldwin, the celebration held on the night before the Super Bowl awarded the NFL MVP to Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

Spending a much-deserved night out on the town, Olivia Munn hit up Hollywood hot spot Chateau Marmont on Friday (January 25).
Joined by her boyfriend, Joel Kinnaman, the "Newsroom" actress looked casually chic in a white tank top and floral-pattern pants as she made her way past the paparazzi.
The west coast fun comes just after Olivia returned returned home from the City of Lights, where she was catching up on the latest fashion trends.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the sexy brunette took a front row seat at the Versace Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture runway show during Paris Fashion Week.

Having a blast during her overseas travels, Olivia Munn showed up at the Versace Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture runway show in Paris, France yesterday (January 20).
The ?Perfect Couples? cutie looked gorgeous in a sexy black dress with a studded clutch and black high heels as she meandered around Le Centorial as part of Paris Fashion Week.
In a recent interview, Olivia gave props to her myriad followers for keeping her going through the ups and downs of her career.

Making a glamorous arrival, Olivia Munn touched down at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 19).
The ?Magic Mike? hottie donned a tan trench coat and carried a bright orange tote bag as she and a pal left the busy terminal.
After a guest spot on the comedy ?New Girl,? 32-year-old Oklahoma City native will once again portray Sloan Sabbith on the HBO series ?The Newsroom.?

Making the most of her evening, Olivia Munn headed over to the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood last night (January 10).
The ?Attack of the Show? starlet looked amazing in a white fitted dress as she made her exit and strolled to her car.
As for her gig on ?New Girl,? it sounds like Olivia has bigger fish to fry over at HBO and won?t be back for awhile.
"Sad for Nick? But I?m over on The Newsroom. Maybe whenever my schedule frees up I can try to swing both,? she explained.
"It?s all developing and there are things that I?m not even really allowed to say. I like doing the work stuff. I like when my character gets to get in there and fight for the things that she?s passionate about."
