Jennifer Lopez covers the new issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas. I don?t hate the wild, teased-up hair ? I prefer Jennifer (and most women) with big hair as opposed to the ever-popular Croydon facelift look, a look which Jennifer does too often. The dress is another story ? so tacky. I wish she would refuse to consent to being styled like a budget Vegas showgirl. As for the quotes?
Were there any Latinos who inspired you growing up?
?I was really moved watching West Side Story as a young girl and seeing Puerto Ricans star in it. Even though it wasn?t the best depiction of us, they still have the passion and love that I relate to ? not to mention the singing and dancing! Rita Moreno became a hero to me.?
You?ve always been proud of your body. So no struggles with insecurity?
?Early on, my family really made me love who I was and what I looked like. My body was nothing out of the ordinary in my neighborhood. When I first started on television [as a Fly Girl on In Living Color], people, and even my own manager at the time, would tell me I had to make all of these changes. But you have to stand up and say, ?There?s nothing wrong with me or my shape or who I am, you?re the one with the problem!? And when you can really believe that, all of a sudden other people start believing too.?
The best part of being Latina?
?I love the family that I grew up in, the strength and passion and the heart that we bring to things and then the way I was raised ? the intense love we demonstrate.?
How do you do it all?
?One day somebody told me I had to perform in front of 35,000 people on the set of Selena. I didn?t know how to do it. I just said to myself: Don?t think about it. You can do this and you?ll be great. I walked out onto that stage. And then I did. I?ve been following that rule ever since.?

In her Fly Girl days, Jennifer was a bit rounder ? nothing major, just some youthful puppy fat. But go back and look at her figure from her earliest days ? she?s always had this figure. She?s always been ?La Guitarra? (because her curves mimic a guitar body). Personally, I have no shade for how she flaunts her booty or dresses to maximize her shape. I think it?s great. As we discussed earlier this week, there?s a possibility that Jennifer Lopez might actually be done with Casper Smart. They?ve been dating for two years? two long years without an engagement or surprise wedding or a pregnancy. It?s like I don?t even know her anymore. Anyway, the earlier story was from Radar, and they were hedging their bets and they made it sound like J.Lo MIGHT break up with Casper but she probably hadn?t yet. This week?s Star Mag says it?s already over though, and they credit Jennifer with one of the best breakup lines ever:
Jennifer Lopez?s boy-toy is no more. Jennifer has ended her two-year romance with Casper Smart after they had a blowout fight in early October.
?She threw him out,? reveals a pal. ?She didn?t get her way about something and blamed him. She wouldn?t let him take any of his belongings, saying ?You came with nothing, you will leave with nothing.??
?She knew from the beginning that it wasn?t going to be forever? he was a good distraction after Marc, and she felt young and vibrant while dating him, but she didn?t intend for it to last.?
The couple also suffered from major trust issues after Casper went to an adult peepshow known as a cruising spot for gay men in NYC in August 2012.
?Everything became worse after his gay scandal? she wanted to know what he was doing at all times.?
Unfortunately, ?Casper had gotten used to the glamour that she afforded him? he became arrogant, so she reminded him that he was nobody before he met her.?

I would personally donate $100 to Jennifer Lopez if she actually did dump Casper and another $100 if she used that line. I would still pay her if she used any of these lines:

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart might break up. Seriously! That?s what Radar?s sources are claiming. Of course, the tabloids claimed for the better part of a year that Jennifer just wanted to get married but Casper just wasn?t proposing. The tabloids also said Casper might be gay, so God knows. The proof of this alleged ?cooling off? is that Jennifer went to DC last weekend with Casper, but she didn?t let him pose with her. And that they haven?t been photographed together in weeks.
Jennifer Lopez was basking in the spotlight as the guest of honor at the Human Rights Campaign national dinner on October 5 in Washington, D.C. There to accept the Ally for Equality Award, she happily strutted across the red carpet, posing for photos with several guests. But her much-younger boyfriend, Casper Smart, was not among them.
Although he did attend the awards, Smart was not photographed on the red carpet with Lopez. And RadarOnline.com has learned that a picture ? or lack thereof, in this case ? is worth a thousand words. In fact, they haven?t been photographed together in public in more than three weeks!
Now, multiple sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively that the couple is headed for a breakup, and even had a mini-split this summer.
?Jennifer is pretty private about the relationship, but she?s been hinting that the spark is gone,? a source close to Lopez says. ?She?s having a hard time ignoring the fact that her head has been telling her for a while that this thing with Casper isn?t forever. And now her heart?s saying the same thing.?
Says the source, ?They?re obviously in very different places in their lives, and Jennifer wants to take responsibility for her life and not repeat the same mistakes she has made in the past. She enjoyed the relationship for what it is, but now that giddiness has turned to sadness.?
For Lopez, however, breaking up with her back-up dancer boy toy is easier said than done. According to the source, Lopez has tried to end their relationship several times, most recently in June. During a shoot for Viva Movil in NYC on June 14, ?Everyone on set was whispering about the news that J.Lo and Casper broke up,? a set insider tells RadarOnline.com.
?She seemed down and looked tired, like she hadn?t slept well. She holed up in her trailer for hours when she wasn?t needed for her scenes, and asked for vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream and white flowers. It was obvious she was a million miles away.?
Casper, meanwhile, posted pics from a solo camping trip on his Instagram around the time of the shoot.
?Jennifer?s team started scheduling all her major appearances solo,? the source says. But Lopez eventually took him back ? for now.
The last time the couple was seen together was a night out in L.A. on September 21.
One big reason Lopez can?t let go, the source says, is his close relationship with her twins, Max and Emme.
?It?s hard for her to think of how to it explain it to the twins,? the source says. ?They love Casper. Jennifer?s probably going to at least stay friends with him so hopefully it won?t be as dramatic as it?s been talking to them about her split from their dad [Marc Anthony].?
Indeed, Lopez hinted she could soon be on the prowl in the October issue of Cosmo magazine. ?I have my own high standards for what I want in a partner and how I want to be treated,? she said. ?I bring a lot to the table.?

She ?asked for vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream and white flowers?? That seems kind of random but awesome, right? I would like Ben & Jerry?s Peanut Butter Cup ice cream and lilacs sent to my room. NOW! And in an hour, I would love for someone to send fried chicken and a bonsai tree to my room.
As for the breakup rumors? not posing for photos together isn?t evidence. Casper and Jennifer have been doing that more often, like it?s some big deal to pose together on the red carpet. That?s why she?s paying him!!!! To pose and hold her hand and look loved up. But if the spark is gone, then good for her. I would really love it if she managed to untangle herself from this relationship without an engagement or marriage.

These are photos of Jennifer Lopez on Saturday evening at the HRC dinner in DC where she received the “Ally for Equality” award. Who the hell knows what’s going on in Washington these days, but Joe Biden did cancel his speech at the ceremony due to the government shutdown. Jennifer is wearing a burgundy Zuhair Muhad dress, which looks pretty tacky to me. In other words, this is a total JLo dress. With all of the sheer fabric at work, I’m amazed she’s not showing more cleave than she is. Her face looks different too, right? I don’t know if it’s the makeup job, but Jennifer is looking a lot like Minka Kelly in these pics.
Now let’s talk about this award. Human Rights Campaign is an LGBT rights group. It differs from Human Rights Watch, which focuses on global human rights and injustices. I was a bit confused at first (acronyms do that), but then I recalled how HRW can’t stand JLo. They wrote a magnificent expos of her history of serenading crooks and dictators after she recently performed for the Turkmenistan despot for a nice chunk of cash.
In contrast, HRC loves JLo, and they enthusiastically justified her award: “We recognize Jennifer for her talent, style, compassion, philanthropy and generosity, but foremost for her public commitment to LGBT equality. This award is given to allies outside the LGBT community who stand up on behalf of equality for all Americans.? Okay, I can buy that JLo is passionate about equal rights in our country. Obviously, she doesn’t care at all what happens to people in other countries. HRC should care about that.

As the federal government remains shut down, Jennifer Lopez headed to Washington, D.C. for the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner on Saturday (October 5).
The "American Idol" judge showed off her figure in a long burgundy semi-sheer gown as she posed for photos before receiving an award on stage.
Honored with a trophy as the 2013 Ally for Equality, J-Lo was recognized for her efforts in dedicating time, energy, spirit, and commitment to better the lives of LGBT people.
Sharing pics from the event, the 44-year-old star tweeted, "Backstage and on the white carpet! The beginning to a very special evening at the 2013 @HRC National Dinner!!!"

The "I'm Real" songstress took to her Instagram account and posted a few snapshots revealing her tummy.
"Idolfashion," Miss Lopez captioned the pic in which she donned a blue crop top and matching jeans.
Recently, Jennifer stepped out for the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars on September 16 to support her gal pal Leah Remini.
Before the special appearance, Miss Remini told the press, "She is [coming]. She was gonna come the first night and then I tried to talk her out of it - and I'll tell you what she said after that - and I was like, 'I'll see you Monday.'"

Stocking up on reading materials, Jennifer Lopez took her twins to Barnes & Noble in Calabasas, California on Saturday (September 14).
The "American Idol" judge held onto Emme and Max's hands in a pretty yellow and black patterned halter dress as boyfriend Casper Smart and her sister Lynda tagged along.
Recently, it was announced that J-Lo will star in the new thriller, "The Boy Next Door," in which she'll play a single mother who seduces her son's teenage friend.
However, the cougar role won't be too much of a stretch, as there's an 18 year age difference between the 44-year-old actress and Casper.

Jennifer Lopez covers the October issue of Cosmopolitan and I?m embarrassed for her. For so many reasons. Let?s start with this embarrassing cover. I mean, I guess she deserves some credit for still hustling, hustling, hustling even though no one really cares. The rat?s nest hair is particularly disappointing, because Jennifer has pretty hair and her hair didn?t deserve this. As for the interview? she talks glowingly about Casper Smart, whom she refers to as ?Beau? (it?s his name, but everyone knows him as Casper). She also tries to talk her way out of performing for oppressive dictators too:
Admitting that her appearance at the birthday party of the president of Turkmenistan earlier this year was a mistake: ?I know that being seen as a role model means taking responsibility for all my actions. I am human, and of course, sometimes I make mistakes. But I promise that when I fall, I get back up. When I am wrong, I will learn the lesson and move on to face other challenges. For me, that?s what creating your own life is. Doing your best work while being your best self.?
On being the creative force in business meetings: ?Everybody in there might be more business-minded, but for me, if I?m talking about marketing or promotion or why a piece of clothing is made, it all comes from an emotion. I?m more of an artist, so when I?m able to use that muscle, I feel like I?m in my element.?
On not feeling secure about herself until later in life: ?It was after I had kids to be honest?The biggest insecurity I had was my singing. Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, I?m not good at this. And while I was married to Marc, he helped me get over it. He kept telling me, ?You?re the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go??I was always so insecure and just kind of going along. Then I grew, little by little, and realized, wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I?m not a mistake ? I work my ass off. And I know what I?m doing.?
On her relationship with 26-year-old choreographer boyfriend Beau ?Casper? Smart: ?For me, it?s about having a great partner to walk this life with. I have my own high standards for what I want in a partner and how I want to be treated. I bring a lot to the table. I?m not talking about material things but what I have to offer as a person ? love and loyalty and all the things that make a good relationship.?
When she commits to a man, she gives herself completely: ?It?s funny, early on with Beau, I remember telling him how I have a real button on being ignored. And he was like, ?Listen, if somebody ignores you, then forget them. They don?t deserve to have your attention.? But it?s funny. Sometimes when we don?t get it, we try to get it in an negative way, you know??

Her non-apology about the ?performing for dictators? thing is what is. She?s not really sorry, she?s just sorry she got called out for it, and she?s trying to spin it into an inspirational tale of how she overcame great adversity ? the adversity of being criticized for being paid millions of dollars to perform for terrible dictators.
But her quote about her relationship with Casper? Gross. ?I have my own high standards for what I want in a partner and how I want to be treated. I bring a lot to the table.? How in the world does she not realize that she sounds like an idiot? Casper is a BACKUP DANCER. And he frequents massage parlors and there are lots of gay rumors. How does Casper meet those ?high standards?? Why is she such an idiot about men?
