He?s breaking into the music scene and David Duchovny released his debut album Hell or High Water on Tuesday (May 12) complete with a concert at Manhattan?s Cutting Room.
The ?Californication? hunk was in high spirits as he took the stage, and everyone cheered when his ?X-Files? costar Gillian Anderson joined him for a song, asking, ?Can we play some real music please?!?
Once the song was over, Ms. Anderson (who is single) planted a serious smooch on Duchovny (who is also single) and the crowd went wild. ?The X-Files? will begin production again this summer, so stay linked to the GossipCenter for all the latest details!

There have been rumors and stories about an X-Files remake for years. I never thought anything would come to fruition because the show overstayed its expiration date when it was on the air, plus there were two movies that were frankly pretty bad. (A dismembered head was the villain in the second movie.) I loved the X-Files for the first few years that it was on, but when Mulder left (or maybe when he had a baby with Scully – it’s unclear if they actually had sex) it jumped the shark.
Regardless of some bumps in the road, the show remains one of the most beloved cult shows ever. As confirmation of that, Fox just announced that they’ve ordered six new episodes. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will reprise their roles and X-Files creator Chris Carter will be the showrunner. It’s unknown when the reboot will air, but production is set to begin this summer. Here’s more, thanks to Variety:
?I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,? Carter said. ?The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.?
The ?X-Files? revival follows last spring?s return of ?24? as a 13-episode limited series. NBC has joined the mania for resurrecting series with built-in audience awareness with its plans for the ?Heroes Reborn? miniseries next season.
?X-Files? is a natural, as the show about FBI sleuths investigating instances of paranormal activity is tailor-made for social-media obsession ? even if it hails from an earlier TV era. ?X-Files? had a nine-season run on Fox from 1993-2002. It spawned two feature films, 1998?s ?The X-Files: Fight the Future? and 2008?s ?The X-Files: I Want to Believe.?
Fox Television Group chairs Gary Newman and Dana Walden shepherded the show on the studio side during its network run. The pair have made no secret of their interest in bringing it back. The new episodes may well spark renewed interest in the show from SVOD platforms, just as the ?24: Live Another Day? episodes spurred Fox to cut a rich pact for the entire series library with Amazon Prime.
[From Variety]
Both Anderson and Duchovny remain busy in recurring roles in other television shows and each published their first books recently. Anderson co-wrote a science fiction novel called A Vision of Fire while Duchovny published a humorous fable about a cow heroine (really) called Holy Cow: A Modern-Day Dairy Tale. It must have been tricky to find a time when the two of them were both free to film the new show.
I talk a good game about being disappointed by how the X-Files wrapped but I’m so excited for this remake. I hope they’re able to move on from the whole Scully and Mulder are in love storyline, but I guess the last movie already solved that. I barely remember it.
Duchovny instagrammed and tweeted this picture confirming the news. I loved Scully’s fashion so much. She had that iconic late 90s business style. It really doesn’t seem that long ago.
It's been 13 years, hope my suits still fit. #XFilesReunion

Fishlove, a charity raising awareness about the impact of overfishing on the earth’s marine ecosystem, are using celebrities to draw attention to their cause. Much like PETA, the celebs pose naked. In this case, with dead marine animals. *Fans self*
The latest famous person to join the cause is Gillian Anderson who poses naked with a dead eel draped around her neck like a fine mink shawl. It’s terrible. That’s not going to keep her warm at all.
Past celebrities who have posed for the charity include Sir Ben Kingsley, who’s simply naked holding a dead octopus, and Lizzy Jagger, who looks a little too happy to be riding a tuna.

Here is Gillian Anderson posing naked with a massive conger eel thrown round her neck. She had some close encounters with slimy alien creatures in The X Files, but few were as intimate as this one.
The picture forms part of a photographic campaign called Fishlove seeking to highlight the issue of diminishing fish stocks, the message being that British taxpayers? money is being given to French fishing trawlers to destroy the deep seabed in British waters.
A petition has been launched in support of the campaign, aiming to attract 10,000 signatures.

| David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson reunite for 'X-Files' anniversary: sexy or lame' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reunited over the weekend for a 20th anniversary event celebrating The X-Files at The Paley Center. You know what? I think, for the X-Files fans out there like me, that we wouldn?t get so happy and excited to see Gillian and David reunite if they weren?t still so damn attractive. I mean, look at them! Both of them have aged, of course, but Gillian is still so beautiful and damn it, I would still bang Mulder. Anyway, just look at them. I love that they still like each other. I love that it still feels like they?re in each other?s lives and they still enjoy each other?s company. I can?t believe it?s been 20 years.
So it should come as no shock that David and Gillian confirmed this weekend that they would both come back for another X-Files movie, and that Chris Carter is working on a script as we speak. Is this lame? Is it weird or lame or budget that David and Gillian would revisit these characters (likely with a handsome paycheck) just because neither has a lot going on these days? David said: ?All the principals are on board? Gillian and I want to do it, so it’s really up to 20th Century Fox at this point.? The last movie bombed, but I think if they tried to reboot the franchise in an interesting way with another film, it could be successful. Maybe old-married-couple Mulder and Scully could teach a pair of young FBI agents how to search for aliens? Costarring Benedict Cumberbatch as The Lizard Hybrid and Tilda Swinton as The Alien Goddess.

I know she’s starting to get up there, but I’m loving what Gillian Anderson‘s been bringing lately. And here she is at a Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year event, pulling a move right out of the Elizabeth Hurley playbook: show off enough cleavage and no one will care how old you are. Works every

Man, who knew Gillian Anderson still looked this good? This is exactly the type of weird stuff that she used to investigate on The X-Files. So if you’ll excuse me, I need to study these pictures for a bit. There’s got to be an explanation in here somewhere. I’ll start by looking in between these

| Gillian Anderson splits with her longtime partner, talks about her 'fluid sexuality' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I swear that CB & I got a tip about this months ago. Someone wrote in and told us that Gillian Anderson and her longtime partner, Mark Griffiths, had quietly split up. And now here we are ? Us Weekly is confirming the news, and they?re making it sound like the split is recent:
Gillian Anderson is sadly adding longtime love Mark Griffiths to her ex files. “Gillian Anderson and her partner Mark Griffiths have amicably separated after six years together,” a rep for the actress, 43, tells Us Weekly exclusively.
The duo, who never wed, share sons Oscar, 5, and Felix, 3.
The X-Files and House of Mirth actress has been married twice before. She and film art director Clyde Kotz, with whom she shares daughter Piper, 17, divorced in 1997; the star and documentarian Julian Ozanne were married for two years before parting ways in 2006.
Following her role as Miss Havisham in a 2011 PBS miniseries adaptation of Great Expectations, Anderson has a full slate of projects in 2012: the films Mr. Morgan’s Last Love, I’ll Follow You Down and The Curse of the Buxom Strumpet, plus BBC miniseries The Fall.
[From Us Weekly]
I always forget that Gillian is a mom to THREE kids. I probably forget about her because it?s not like she lives in LA, getting pap?d on the regular. She lives in London, and these days she works a lot in British television productions. Considering we got a tip about this months ago, I?d say that Gillian and Mark probably didn?t split up recently ? this has probably been in the works for at least this year ? I can?t even see that they?ve been photographed together since last year. As for any potential scandals? who knows? Gillian is a beautiful woman, and I could totally see her having a jumpoff.
Meanwhile, Gillian recently clarified some comments she made to Out Magazine earlier this year. Gillian had told Out, ?I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school? If I had thought I was 100% gay, would it have been a different experience for me? Would it have been a bigger deal if shame had been attached to it and all those things that become huge life-altering issues for youngsters in that situation? It?s possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys.? Gillian clarified in a recent interview:
She has spoken openly about having lesbian flings as a teenager ? but it seems Gillian Anderson is less willing to put a label on her ?fluid? sexuality. The twice-married mother of three has revealed that the death of an ex-girlfriend has convinced her of the need for a ?more nuanced conversation about sexuality and its fluidity?. The 43-year-old first confessed to having had relationships with women earlier this year.
In an interview this week, the X Files star explained: ?I decided to talk about it now because someone with whom I was in a relationship a couple of decades ago – a woman – passed away about a year ago. I was talking about her and, in the context of the gentle conversation we were having, I thought I would say that I have had a couple of relationships with women.?
But she added: ?I always knew I still liked boys. Being gay was never something that I identified with 100 percent, because I knew that for me it wasn?t the only way. There are so many teenagers confused about their sexuality, and I?ve been aware of the need for being open about fluid sexuality.?
[From The Independent]
Basically, she clarified it the same way CB said ? that Gillian probably sees her sexuality as fluid on a continuum in which some people are neither ?100% gay? or ?100% straight?. Maybe the scandal is that Gillian left her partner for a woman? We should be so lucky. There are lots and lots of X-Files fan-girls who still have biscuit tingles for Scully.

| Gillian Anderson in a sexy LBD at the Critics Choice TV Awards: perfect? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|

|
|
Here we have some more photos from the Critics Choice TV Awards, which were last night in LA. Here’s a link to a complete list of winners, which made me happy as a few of my favorite shows won. As Kaiser mentioned in her earlier fashion coverage, “Community” was awarded best comedy and “Homeland” won best drama. (Kaiser got me into that show recently and I subscribed to Showtime and basically watched it on demand for a week straight. I couldn’t stop until it was finished.)
Gillian Anderson was nominated for best actress in a movie or miniseries for her incredible performance in “Great Expectations.” I really enjoyed that adaptation on Masterpiece. (And did you see “Birdsong” too? Excellent.) That award went to Julianne Moore for “Game Change.” (You can see Julianne’s outfit in this earlier post.) Gillian was amazing looking in a sexy off-the-shoulder black dress with a sweetheart neckline. I love her silver and white shoes with diagonally placed straps, and her gorgeous drop earrings. More than that her styling is just incredible.
She’s probably had a little something something done to her face, she’s 43, but it’s subtle and almost perfect. Look at her skin, it’s glowing! Give me exactly what she’s having, in the same amounts. Also, in terms of her makeup, is she wearing those individual false lashes here? They don’t look overdone and I love her Pink lips and cheeks.
Ginnifer Goodwin was annoyed-looking, as is usual for her, in an offbeat Viktor & Rolf gold and black scalloped striped sequin gown with a mesh v-neck cutout. How the hell do you describe this dress? I feel like I’m unable to do justice to it with mere words. This woman is always trying to wear fashion-forward dresses and just looking bizarre. Look at her shoes. They have bows on them. Bows!
Community and Mad Men’s Alison Brie wore this feathered black Oscar de La Renta creation which is pretty cute. It’s not a knockout dress, but I like her elegant styling and her simple black shoes. She’s so pretty here and it’s nice to see Annie’s Boobs under control for once. Alison was up for best supporting actress in a comedy, which went to Julie Bowen of “Modern Family.”
Busy Phillips was in a deep v-neck black floor length Michael Kors gown which is kind of lovely on her, especially compared to her past looks. I like her contrasting clunky green gemstone necklace, and her understated matching ring. Her cleavage is a little much, but I just love her effortless hair and makeup. Plus, as I always say, Busy’s enthusiasm for life kind of shines through in everything she does. She brings so much humor to everything that it’s infectious. Compare how she looks to sour-faced Ginnifer Goodwin and her “high fashion.” Enough said.
Katey Segal was wearing a dress which looked like a cross between a Bavarian barmaid outfit and Stella McCartney at her craziest. I haven’t found a designer ID on this one. It might have been ok without the puffy sleeves with the shoulders cut out, and without the strange “tail” trailing along the side. As is, it’s just a very ugly dress. Katey was there as she was nominated for best actress in a drama series, for her work in “Sons of Anarchy,” but that went to Claire Danes for “Homeland.”
Aaron Paul is just such an amazing actor and so nice to look at. I’m really looking forward to “Breaking Bad” coming back this year, and I just checked and it premieres sooner than I thought on July 15th! I’m excited but kind of sad about it too, as it’s the end for Walt and Jesse. Is it their true end? I’m rooting for Jesse and kind of hope Walt bites it. Aaron was up for best supporting actor, which went to his co-star Giancarlo Esposito. (Gus!) Brian Cranston (Walt) also won best actor, which will go on the shelf with his countless other awards for that role.
Here’s Aaron with his fiance, Lauren Parsekian.

I meant to post this a few days ago but got sidetracked by the new server. Anyway, Gillian Anderson of X-Filesfame came out as a bisexual in this month’s edition of OUT.
“I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school, and then I was in a relationship with a punk rock drug addict. … Yeah, yeah, well it?s… You know, I?m old enough that I can talk about that.”
Ok, yes. Go on.
?If I had thought I was 100% gay, would it have been a different experience for me? Would it have been a bigger deal if shame had been attached to it and all those things that become huge life-altering issues for youngsters in that situation? It?s possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys.?
This has nothing to do with Gillian Anderson being bi but I just played World of Goo and now all the paragraphs look like they’re swaying up and down like big, floppy penises.
